Had to meet up with a friend in soho so I thought why not have breakfast while waiting… searched breakfast near me and the breakfast club soho popped up ( 3 minutes walk ) from where I was so I thought why not? Got there only to see a queue I was wondering for breakfast???? I was intrigued to see why and as I waited more people even joined. Waited almost half an hour or more and when we finally got in and ordered my food came and Lord! I was in love even before I tasted it. The most delicious scrambled eggs ever! They were as yellow as the sun! The waitress said it was an organic egg but whoever is supplying those please don’t stop! I must comment the chef! The meal time wasn’t long at all and it was absolutely tasty! It’s just Toast and scrambled eggs I know but this is the best I’ve had! You should totally try it out if you’re ever in soho london. Cheers xIt’s #Kidsfriendly#perfectfordates#meetings#Girlsbrunchdate
Arrived at the restaurant at 12.45 was seated, ordered to lattes and 2 breakfasts I ordered the biggest breakfast, which cost £13.50 the waitress said they had run out of sausages, so opted to have extra bacon. I stipulated that I wanted my eggs runny as that’s the only way I’ll eat them. The coffees arrived very quickly. At 13.20 still no breakfast, I asked the waiter how long for the breakfast it came at 13.30.When the breakfast arrived I was shocked to say the least. I was meant to get extra bacon I got 2 rashers which were hard and tasted more like Biltong or beef jerky, the eggs were hard, the breakfast was meant to come with black pudding there was no black pudding, there was a scattering of potatoes on the side which they spread about to try and make the plate look full up.They gave me a vegan sausage 🙈 which I can not even comment on. When I said where’s the black pudding he said, you said you didn’t want any, I said I never said anything of the sort, he checked the order and said I’ll get some made up for you now, the breakfast was already cold so having to wait 10 mins extra would have made the breakfast taste like it was from the fridge. These guys brand themselves as an American dinner well I’ve been all over the states and eaten many breakfasts, this is nothing like an American breakfast. To say I felt ripped off was an understatement.I wouldn’t eat here again, I’ve eaten many breakfasts all over London and this was probably the worst for value and quality, it reminded me of eating a breakfast from the little big chef at a motor way service station, I can understand there poor breakfast as it never cost more then a fiver. This was nearly 3 times as expensive. It was shocking and a complete waste of money and a terrible dinning experience to say the least.
Ive been to this cafe several times and have never been disappointed, however yesterday could have been different! I ordered an All American Classic and Coffee (as you do). As I waited for my food and coffee I realized that half an hour has gone and still nothing. A waitress come up to me and asked if I was still waiting. She then went off and a few minutes later she appeared with my food and coffee. My eggs fried not scrambled as asked, these were soon replaced. When I asked for the bill I was told it was on the house as it was their mistake. I give The Breakfast Club Five Stars as they care for good customer service, the food was nice as well.
After 50min waiting for our breakfast we decided to leave. This is totally unacceptable when the place just opened and we had just 2 customers before us. They kept preparing breakfast for the delivery companies when the customers in the restaurant were waiting way too long to enjoy some pancakes. It is a shame that they do not take any care of the clients they face in the place.
Came halfway across London to try this place out. Website said they close at 4pm. Arrived at 2.30pm and they kept me waiting 20 minutes outside, then came out at 2.50 pm to say they had taken their last order and can’t serve me or those behind me also queuing. Lost for words. Why make me wait? Why close so early. No reason given. Pathetic
Absolutely disgusting service! This was my first time visiting the Soho branch. I have visited other branches and the service has always been amazing. However, this waitress we had was so rude and didnt care to check up on us. She couldnt even smile. I even said thank you to her in the end just to be polite and she gave us this sarcastic smile. She was the waitress with short hair and I believe she had some face piercing. The food wasnt as good as it used to be. Really gone down hill. Not worth the hype. I will not longer visit.
Lovely brunch option in Soho.FOOD: Great options including veggie and vegan. Portions are great and overall delicious food. The pancakes were to die for.Decor/Ambience: Rusty chic. Can get a bit loud. The toilets are awful especially given current times they do need to work on cleanliness and overall maintenance.Service: The service is slow and a bit dry. I would give it 2 stars.
I have been coming here for years but the menu has been changed and reduced considerably over the past year. With the happy hour and only serving drinks from 8pm it feels its starting to feel more of a pub than a diner. Still, food is delicious and the staff are always super friendly!
Queued for about 20 minutes to get in and eventually got a table sat outside (the sun was shining so had no issues with this). From then on the service was prompt, attentive and friendly. I had the disco hash with added halloumi and chorizo. Absolutely delicious! My partner had the berry pancakes which were equally as tasty. They even made me a mocha which was not on the menu but were more than happy to make for me after I requested one. Top service and a must visit when youre in the capital!
Good service & quality ingredients let down by execution. Felt like food had been precooked and then plated last minute, including the eggs (!). Not the end of the world if done well, but in this case it meant slightly cold and dry pancakes and French toast. Burrito was lava hot in some places (in particular the eggs- which were rubbery) which made us suspect it had been microwaved!? Saw another table getting much puffier and less yellow pancakes - perhaps got lucky with a new batch?
We were seated after a short 20 minute wait. We ordered two full English breakfasts and two cups of tea. The tea arrived around 20 minutes before the breakfast, so it was half drunk and almost cold by the time we ate. I think it would be better to serve hot drinks with the food, or ask. The breakfast was nice, however the beans and mushrooms were cold. The bacon was slightly undercooked for my liking and the toast didnt have any butter. The black pudding, sausage, potatoes and hash browns were very tasty. I would get something else next time. Staff were really nice and helpful. I was a little bit disappointed with the food.
The place is small, no fancy interiors but packed. We went there on the Saturday morning and there was a queue. We waited over 45 minutes but it was worth the wait. The food is amazing and nominal priced, comes quickly after the order. The staff is lovely. The hot chocolate with marshmallows and pancakes with berries are delicious. Quite big portions. Would definitely recommend the place. They charge 12.5% optional service charge.
Had high hopes for this place. We queued for an hour in the rain to get in as I had heard good things... it was ok.
The food and service were excellent, once we were seated. However, be aware that if you dont come early, you will have to wait. They dont take reservations.
Im not sure how I can express the whirlwind of emotions my mouth went through throughout the whole time I was eating the chicken and waffles. Incredible. It took a while to arrive, but the freshness of the waffles and flavour of each bite was worth it. Always a chill atmosphere and friendly staff. Very good portions
Friendly staff, delicious food and fun vibe. Cocktails are great too! Good if you have any dietary requirements, staff are very helpful. They also have a great waiting list system which sends a notification to your phone when your table’s ready - we only had to wait for about 20 minutes at peak time on a Sunday.
First of all, its located in the heart of London Soho. Very close to Piccadilly circus tube station. Yummy breakfast, the queue says it all. I love their grilled cheese toastie. Really well made. And coffee is just perfect. The eggs are always well cooked whatever they are. Friendly staff, cozy place.
Amazing choices of food and coffee to choose from as a vegetarian! Lovely staff too!
I like Breakfast Clubs, in no small part because I like breakfast. Its my favourite meal of the day.The Breakfast Club has a tried and tested formula. Make it bo-ho enough to bring in the hipsters, make it reliable enough to bring in the tourists, make it cheap enough to bring in the locals. Its not rocket science, its just good sense.Happily, this morning there was no queue, but if you think youre going to rock up at 9:00 and be shown to a table, guess again. Queuing is one of the things you need to accept if you want an honest breakfast served with a touch of humour at an honest price. The staff at the Soho restaurant are cheerful and efficient. The food and beverages came quickly and when they were meant to be hot, they were. Likewise, if the drinks were intended to be cold, they were chilled enough for the warmth of the restaurant to condense on the glass. My son thinks The Breakfast Clubs are overrated. Opinions differ. Mine does. In the last 12 hours Ive eaten a £50 steak and a £12 vegetarian breakfast. Based on the above, you can readily conclude which I think is overrated.
This place is way overrated... Reading about it online and especially seeing the long line in the street (in the cold) gave me high expectations... Since the place is small and was full it was awfully crowded. The service wasnt very good... And the food was just OK. Unreasonable prices... I do not recommend. About the dish I ordered (salted caramel pancake): if I was told it wont be actual chocolate but chocolate flavored syrup*** it would have made a difference since I would have asked them not to put it.... The cream was disgusting and tasted as if it was cheap...About the bill : you dont have a choice whether to leave a tip. Its obligatory that you pay 12.5%...My advice : save your time and money and go someplace else.
Had a good experience here to be honest, didn’t need to wait long to get a seat, The place is tight so it is what it is ! You practically sit beside strangers ...Food is lovely, excellent presentation tasty fresh ingredients and servers are lovely to conversate with. If your around and need good hearty breakfast head to this spot
This place is famous for their perfect pancakes tower and this is exactly what you get after queuing for 30-40 min outside! They were delicious! However, all the rest of menu is very good (try also the pulled pork buns) but not so special to justify the queue outside. Stay away from the espresso!!!The prices are average. The staff very welcoming!! Toilet are downstairs.
Second time coming here. Its always busy so clearly shows people love it. Staff were lovely. The only thing Id complain about was the pancakes were on the dry side :)
Interior decoration is simple but wonderful. You have to get there early if you want to have breakfast before 9 am otherwise, you will have to queue! Every plate is tasteful and served generously (good quantity). Beverages are also awsome... They charge you like 12% for service. Price are a little abusive but the place is worth it. Great music also
The food was nice and good and worth the price. It’s just they weren’t welcoming to us and they didn’t treat us like the other customers which felt disappointing and didn’t make me feel comfortable!
Too heavy and fat breakfast, not my thing. And stay clear from the vegan breakfast it’s terrible - I was surprised the vegan pancakes and eggs tasted so bad.
We waited 45 minutes in line on a chilly Sunday morning mid January to eat here. We were almost dissuaded from leaving but the servers would come out and give hot chocolate to all the people that were in line to get in. Once we got inside the service was very good, the waiter was attentive and tried to help us choose what we hoped to be a quintessential British breakfast. The food was tasty, and the server was helpful, and we were not pressured to finish quickly despite the queue of people waiting outside.
They make the best french toast, made my day. Yummy yummy.
Only giving 1 star for the staff and their customer service. We were moved tables before we got our food and they handled this perfectly.HOWEVER these pancakes were gross. I dont know where to start with how bad this food was considering the price! With items on the cheaper part of the menu not available we felt we were forced into paying £12 each so I would expect it to be at least half decent.I wont be returning as this was an absolute waste of my money. Also the music was way too loud, me and my friend couldnt hear each other. Why is this a thing in places like this?! Its not a bloody bar!
Friendly service and food was very good, but it is on the expensive side for what it is.
Good but not worth the queue - go during the week (Mon - Thurs) to beat it
Excellent food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great tubes in background
Visited for Pancake 🥞 Day 2020. Understandably there was a queue to get in. We waited patiently in the cold and then had the people behind us taken in first because they had more people and we were only 2. Wasn’t impressed at that. Delicious pancakes and beautifully presented but felt we didn’t get a consistent portion when looking at other people’s stacks coming out. Don’t order the tea - £2.50 for a tea bag.
Went for chicken and waffles. No waffles, as no waffle maker. Was disappointed, but not for long. Good food, great staff.
We may have had to queue for 40min but it was worth it. When the food arrived. Smokey Joes next door sent their host out to try and tempt the queue to save time and eat and theirs but it didnt work. The queue wrapped around the corner and everyone was content to wait. There isnt much space inside but the servers work hard to turn the tables as quickly as possible. There is only one toilet and it is downstairs. Seating is tight so if you dont like to share then I would save the wait. The food is wholesome, well cooked and reasonable price for the portion compared with many London restaurants.I had the green is good smoothie (well recommended) and my friend the flat white. To eat I had the full monty complete with black pudding and poached eggs. My friend had the all American pancake stack topped with bacon, banana and syrup.
OMG, Well worth the wait.Super all day brekfast.Midday the street closes and they put out more tables!
Nice authentic breakfast. Good start to the day
Very friendly staff and a warm atmosphere, it is a little cramped though.. Google suggested that the store wasnt too busy on Sundays, it is! But the queue wasnt too long 😅The food overall was lovely, I had a friench toast and fruit side (the fruit side was a little smaller that expected) both were nice!Definitely worth a visit if youre nearby and need a nice easy breakfast
Great breakfast and great service! It is a small place with around 20 seats. Weve queue up for an hour to be seated. The staff will inform the customers how long it have to be waited. As it was raining and a bit cold outside, the staff even prepared small cups of chocolate for the queues. The food and juice was good! And worth the price and time for queuing up! 👍🏻
They have both, filling and fatty food as well as many healthy choices. I choose salmon egg benedict on roasted butternut squash and fruits. Very tasty and healthy. Their cold press juices are also great. The dessert wasnt amazing though. A bit cold inside but very trendy and cozy, and staff are very friendly.
Food was very cold. Mac and cheese had no cheese the mocha was horrible. Wings they said it comes 6 portion only came with 5. Definitely not the place to come and one of the workers got hit with a canned beer
Worth a trip for breakfast but only if you get there early, the line to get in can get very long and you cant book a table at the weekends.Be warned: their waitress told me the meat was free range but I can find nothing online to verify this. Stick to their vegetarian/vegan offerings if concerned about animal welfare.
Nice food trendy with a young patronage worth a visit.
Alot of people rave about this place, i came here perhaps 5 years ago where the menu was limited. Recently came back with a vegan and was a little dubious however they loved their Full vegan meal!I ordered the salt beef sandwich and salad and it was lovely. Not as god as the begals on brick lane or as cheap at £9.95Service us quite slow. We arrived 3pm so we got seated without a queue. Very loud atmosphere, buxe 80s music, probably not good for a date or big groups.
Great place! Nice waiters! Good food!
Nice and cosy placeThe menu full monty is large amount of food. The pancakes and berries are very sweet and the cream on the pancake is so delicious.
Food was mediocre at best and very overpriced. Had to ask about our food which took 35 mins to arrive.
Nice food but small place.
Definitely worth the queue! Everything we ordered was delicious and came quickly, and the waiters were very attentive even though they were busy.
Crowded but worth it. Delicious! Go for it! Waiters are nice and friendly, helpful!
Food is excellent, the place is small so expect a long waiting.
Not only one of my favourite breakfast spots, but also one of my favourite pancake spots. Their pancakes are so fluffy with lots of cream and berries, basically everything good in life served in a plate lol. I should warn, during weekends the queue can get a bit too much and you cannot book in advance this is the only downside.
We’ve had a good afternoon tea here. The desserts are really wonderful! They are not too sweet, with the rich flavor of milk, making the taste perfect.
You can tell from the picture, its alright, nice food, but nothing game changing. Its alittle too popular as well, so service will understandably be compromised.
The ultimate breakfast place. Delicious food, great vibes and such an amazing decoration. The special meals are highly recommend.
The eggs benedict and pancake were amazing. Really friendly and helpful staff will definitely be back next time I am in London.
Amazing menu and food, laid back atmosphere, and friendly wait staff. The line was SUPER long though (we waited an hour). Perfect spot for a laid-back day with no plans, so make sure you come with your expectations set accordingly. We also shared a table with another group, which we didn’t mind, so be prepared for a dining experience all about the food and vibe!
Cool Place, Delicious food, had to wait for 30 minute outside in line to get in, friendly staff .was worth it ! the pancakes are a must try !!
I’ve been in this place three years ago. The food was nice and the staffs were amazing at that time. But things were quite different a few days ago. The food was still decently good, but a staff was very rude. Their service was slow, considering that we have to wait for about an hour to get in. They do not even respond or check our table while I was staring at them quite a while. And the staff just took our money without saying that we’ll get the change, so we had no idea we can get the change back or they just took it for tip. So I just went to counter to ask “can I get the change”, but they only complained to me why I am so in rush. Well, I already spent over 2 hours here, time was flowing and my holiday was running to its end. I know the staffs are busy, but I think that should not be a customer’s consideration.Anyway I have to admit that the food was really nice.
Portions are huge!! Cafe easy to find due to its bright yellow exterior. Near to Oxford Street just need to use Google maps to navigate your way through the various alleys. Prices are reasonable. The staff are very attentive occasionally giving away free cuppa teas or even plates of dessert to customers and hot beverages to those waiting in the cold outside the cafe. Seating was a lil squeezy so be prepared to share your table if it gets too crowded. Will definitely be back for breakfast!
