We got this gate 2 years ago, already rusting and fading! When we called They said they will ship us fresh paint to brush it up! This wasn’t powder coAted paint and upon selling it to you they warranty it lifetime and it’s very disappointing! They are untruthful and untrustworthy!! Just be aware!!

Horrible Experience!This company is nothing of what they claim to be. We were told our door would be ready in 10 weeks, However, it took 12 weeks. Supposedly, their machine broke and it would be an additional 2 weeks. Finally, the door is delivered and a section (eye level) is missing color along with a gap on the bottom right side of the door. My husband asked for the installer to take it back to the shop to get it powder coated again. They insisted they could fix it on our community street. There were three men with what looked like a spray paint can trying to correct the problem. We paid for powder coating not paint. The director of sales among several other staff members contacted us and insisted they could fix it. Well, we allowed them to proceed and they werent able to fix it. The door was taken back to the shop. The door was brought back the following day. The first problem was corrected but we now had a new problem. There was a smudge on both sides of the door where it looked as if a grip clamp had been used to pull the door out of the heat process. They had to take the door back again to correct the second issue. The door was finally delivered 8 days later. After looking at the door, we decided to change the color of the metal mesh to make the design pop. We paid an additional $100 for the change. The mesh was removed and delivered one week later. When the mesh arrived at our home, it was the same original color as when it left our home. It was never powder coated as we requested and paid for. POOR QUALITY CONTROL! This is when you question their quality control. There were no calls made to us with any type of explanation, we had to reach out to them. The director of sales refused to talk to me when I called her (I cant remember her name). She said she was handling it with my husband and didnt take my call. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! If we would do it all over again, we would NOT go with this company. Please do your research and save yourself the headaches. It’s not what they claim to be and definitely not worth it. As of today, 7/7/21 we still dont have our door to our satisfaction.

This was not our first time dealing with First Impression Security Doors. I was pleasantly pleased and surprised this time around. Our sales person Chris Tirro was professional, courteous, on time, and great follow up. I initially was turned off by this company talking with someone at Fountainhills Arts Festival. Chris was terrific in dealing with this past experience. Chris patiently and professionally explained the entire purchasing process and types of options one can get for the security door. We had him visit in our neighborhood a security door that we wanted and liked that First Impression Security Door had installed. We appreciated his honesty, forth rightness, and follow-up throughout the entire experience . We have already utilized the tech to return to adjust door ( Thurmin had also installed the door--impressive--skillful-experienced). Highly recommend

The product was outstanding. Installation was seamless and made to fit perfectly. I ordered two screen doors and was very satisfied. The workmanship mirrored the selection pictures perfectly. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting high quality screen doors. These are not screen doors you buy at the hardware store so plan on paying a little more.

We consulted First Impressions to fabricate a screen for complicated patio doors, and a knowledgeable salesman called at the house, made an estimate on the spot and took measurements when we accepted. The price was high but the alternative was replacing the doors, and we were impressed with the specs he gave us. The delay was very long but that is true in all the trades right now.In the end, we will be forced to replace these doors, whose relatively simple problem is one no one can or will repair. FI was very gracious about cancelling our contract and we were left with a great impression of the outfit.

First Impression Ironworks has lived up to its name as our first as well as last impression is very positive. Shawn was top-notch when she came to give us product information and a quote. She wore a mask, respected social distancing and was prepared with samples and color choices. Her follow-up was prompt and she respected our time frame to collect other bids. Hands down, First Impression was superior to the other companies we researched. The iron security front door was delivered and installed on time. The 2-man crew was courteous and informative, helping in orienting us to our new door. Overall, the product was better than we expected and enhances the appearance of the entryway. BUYER BEWARE: they only care about making the door and dont care about destroying your wall in the process. While installation should involve an inquiry into the correct size and weight, they do not take the time. All they care is about selling you the door or gate and nothing else. Also, their customer service is poor, including being condescending, rude, and not listening (for instance I asked for a workman to show up on a certain day and customer service operated like I had said nothing).Picture is of the second faulty lock they installed for me.

Overall a good job. I did not expect the installer to match paint around the new gate installation, but he did leave huge holes from the previous gate mounting. These I had to fill and then paint over. The closing springs are very strong and the gates slam. The installer recommended not letting them slam.

We had a gate constructed and installed by First Impressions. The service and communication was great. The gate is top quality. I highly recommend.

Great experience from the sales process through to the installation. Every one I talked to has been very responsive and attentive. The door is stunning, I am very pleased. It changes my entry both from the outside and the inside (way more light, obvious now, but very pleasant surprise).I have 2 more doors to do. FI will do them.

First impressions security door.Stay away, far away! Recommended by my neighbor, was impressed with the end result.Salesman did a great job answering all my questions. My door looked great when it arrived at my house the only thing it didnt fit, the installer made every attempt stretch/shrink the iron to no avail. It was suggested my newly built home front door that works great was the problem. Additional modifications were needed that could only take place back at Santas workshop. I understand things happen, just wanted to be kept informed. Installer was unable to set my expectations. After 48 hrs I reached out to my Salesman he said he would look into it, waited another 48 hours. Getting frustrated I called the main number and asked for the managers name in customer service, and it was a closely held company secret that could not be divulged. So, I asked to speak to the owner and was informed a corporation owned it. LOL. I was transferred to a generic (no name) VM. A big red flag when management ducks the customer.They may have done quality work in the past but its obvious they have out grown their niche. I leave you with 2 reasons for bad customer service; a company has so few complaints they are unprepared to resolve them. Or the 2nd, they have so MANY complaints they are unprepared to resolve them. The 2nd install attempt failed Jan 30th, 17 day ago, still waiting to hear something. It has been 94 days since I paid in full. No door, no confidence, no communication!

I could not be more pleased with First Impressions. My gate, front door & side entrance security screens exceeded my expectations, they are beautiful!! I will be calling them to do my French doors next!

This is a copy of what I sent to First Impression Ironworks.... In response to your query… yes, your Scottsdale Office came by and offered a “ballpark” estimate. I took him over to my neighbor who had the same design we wanted and realized that up close, the door had massive rust at the base of the kick-plate and the finish was chipping quite severely. I asked your sales rep why this would happen and he stated that the people who lived there did not maintain the door the way they should. Strange, the door is in an alcove protected from the weather. Because your sale rep demonstrated total lack of empathy and concern, we decided to go with another company to replace the entire door and frame at a somewhat less cost than yours. Truly though… I could never get an out the door price from your sales rep. In hindsight though, because of the negative implications demonstrated in quality and customer service, I highly doubt anyone in our neighborhood would buy a door from First Impression until you make it right by our neighbor. In the photos you will see a picture from First Impression Ironworks that suggest not using anyone else but them for your door needs and further express to Beware of Iron Doors and Gates That Come From China Instead of the U.S.A. The second picture is the actual door that I am referring to above.

Door is impressive and better than I expected. I purchased a door 15 years ago and the door was showing wear. I choose to purchase another door through First Impressions. The sales man was very easy to work with, door install was clean and neat and the screen door could not be nicer.

This company does a tremendous job! From sales to install, as well as a minor repair that was needed. I have used them at 3 different homes and absolutely love the craftmanship, money well spent!

First Impressions is a great name for this company. They give a good first impression but their follow through on completing a job is totally unreliable. We spent over 20K on two doors. They are beautiful. The installation took over two mo that to complete with excuse after excuse. I guess after they have your money they no longer care about finishing the job. Our rep, Mike, doesn’t return calls or do what he says he will do. We are still waiting to have a lock fixed that we requested over three weeks ago.I see you responded to my post with your stock answer that you take this kind of feedback very seriously. So, I sent you my name and address so you could look up my customer record the same day you wrote that to me, about 2 weeks ago, and shockingly, have heard nothing... seriously. I dont think you really do take this customer feedback seriously or you would actually do more than make a post for others to see.

The door is beautiful the installers were great everything went as planned no complaints.

The service was excellent from the first contact, on to measurements and ordering, and through to installation. We had two French doors and a single front door installed. We were able to select from many designs and colors and are happy with the results. We enjoy the fresh air and the security provided by the very well made doors. The screen mesh is especially made for pets, which has proven to be good for our 100+ pound dog. I think that every one would be happy with the professional service and quality product.

From start to finish an awesome experience. They know their product and they have a great process. We walked in, had a friendly sales talk, picked our door, waited until we signed for our house. Our installer was superb! Within 45 minutes, we had a door up, keyed and ready to go. Great quality, custom made and installed. I highly recommend!

First Impressions did a wonderful job installing our new security/screen door on our home. The sales and installation people were great. They offered quite a selection of door styles as well as colors to match our home and they were very helpful in making the selection that would look the best. They were less expensive than the box stores and they were can do whereas one of the box stores said they couldnt even install a door on our house. They were timely, efficient, and friendly. I would certainly recommend them!

If you are shopping for security doors, iron gates, spiral staircases, iron art, or just about anything else that can be made with iron, you MUST check out this showroom!First Impression does a lot of the Home Shows in the Phoenix area so you can see their products at many of those shows. So after posting my initial review, First Impression contacted me to arrange having a technician come out to fix the stucco patch. The technician arrived as scheduled, fixed things up and now were satisfied customers.As noted in my original review, the door itself is fantastic. Very well-made and a beautiful design. We were always happy with the door.I do encourage First Impression to rethink their policy on stucco patching. This was a large project that cost quite a bit of money. It simply makes no sense to not ensure the final result is polished and perfect.But, alls well that ends well and I appreciate First Impression standing behind their product.*********************************************We purchased a very large, double door entryway from this company. The door itself turned out wonderful. Its beautiful, high quality and everything else youd expect from something in this price range.That said, when a company provides a premium product at a premium price point, they also need to provide a premium installation experience and this is where First Impression fell down. Specifically, there is a large piece of stucco missing on the finished installation and First Impression does not do stucco. Not their problem is essentially their motto. Yes, its written in their contract, which is a nice place for them to hide behind. Doesnt change the fact that customers purchasing these types of products expect a better overall experience.Turns out, when you talk to some of the folks that do the actual work for First Impression, you find out that they actually did used to fix the stucco, but couldnt find a reliable stucco guy. So, what better solution than to foist the problem off on your customers!! Great job, First Impression!!And the real problem is that this is a 10-15 minute fix for a moderately-skilled stucco worker. What moderately-skilled stucco worker is going to want to come out for a 10-15 minute job?Penny-wise, pound-foolish, First Impression. My wife loves the door. So much so that she wants to upgrade our side gate to match as well. But youll never see another dollar of my money thanks to this whole fiasco.Next time, dont make your problem the customers problem. Find a solution. Do the installation right.

I was really impressed with the professionalism of the designer, his accuracy to detail when writing my order, the installer crew when they came to install the door, the installation, and the finished product. I would recommend this company. Its worth a few dollars more than youd spend from a big-box home improvement store.

TODAY 10/14/2020 we had a salesman come out for patio doors - this “sales” man was RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL in our home! First Impression of Scottsdale did a wonderful job designing and installing our iron front entry door. David our sales consultant was very professional and reassuring when he came to the house to measure and discuss the design details. The installation team, lead by technician Nathaniel, were very professional, knowledgable and left no detail unfinished. They left our house as clean as when the arrived. My husband and I are very happy and highly recommend the company.

Bought a new security door and the installer pulled the wires on our doorbell so hard that it cant be fixed. Now we have no doorbell on our fairly new house. Wed have moved it first, but the salesperson told us that if there were plenty of extra wire (there were, we looked) that they would move it out of the way and it would be fine. They make you sign a disclaimer that they arent liable. However, we went by her advice.I called them and spoke with Josh and they wont stand behind their workmanship. They wont send someone out, offer a discount, nothing. They really dont care what they did to your personal property. They have our money so nothing we can do now to recoup the expense we have to fix this mess.If you are looking for a security door, go somewhere else! There are lots of other choices.

Horrible customer service. Door was installed with wrong screen size. Install guy was supposed to come back and fix. He never showed. Funny how that works when they have their money. Now Ive called over a dozen times and left several messages to just reschedule to get it done. No one is calling me back. So frustrating and unacceptable. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company. Go somewhere else!!!!

The sales person who quoted us said the gates would be installed in 4 hours. Well, it took several weeks of us calling, and several broken appointments before they finally completed the job. They left a big mess in our yard that they said they would clean up; but they never did. We had to hire a landscaper to restore our yard, so that we could actually use the gates.Their customer service is really poor.UPDATE: I had a landscaper come in and clean everything up, and everything looks great now. Jennifer and Mark at First Impression asked us to send them the bill for this, which they paid. So I am upgrading my review from 1 star to 2 stars.

Installation was a nightmare. Installer stated that the door was too small and went back & forth with someone on the phone for over an hour. Meanwhile I tried calling customer service and had to leave a message. They returned the call the next day. It took 5 trips for them to make the door acceptable. There were gouges and scratches in the powder coating and the customer service managers comment was, we have never built a door without some scratches. Even the glass was damaged and had to be replaced. Also, when you sign the contract you have to agree that they arent responsible for drywall damage and believe me, there was plenty.After the first rain the bottom door panel leaked and now we have rust. They charged us $75.00 to come out and seal the panel and cleaned the door. The advise was to clean the door regularly with WD 40 otherwise the warranty would be void.Read the pathetic response from the owner who pretends to not know who any of the unhappy customers are. It speaks volumes.

Do not use this company they don’t care if they don’t complete the job once they have your money. My door was partially installed on September 21st after 9 1/2 hours of installation. My door wasn’t completed and I didn’t hear back till I contacted them. Finally another technician came back on October 26th but he didn’t have the right part. So now I got a call that my door will be completed on November 29th...10 weeks 10 weeks! Don’t waste your money on the so called business.

Do not use this company! The quality of the door they made for me is not worth the price at all. Dealing with them has been a nightmare. The sales people are great, but then the circus begins. The subcontractors they hired to install the door were sent to the wrong address on the day of installation. Then they showed up without the proper tools and had to use mine. Once done, I pointed out all of the issues I could see that needed to be fixed. They said they would get back to me. The only person I heard from was the guy who wanted to collect my final payment. When I said I would pay when the door is fixed they put a prelien on my house for the full amount of the door and I have already paid half.This was 5 weeks ago and they have been back 3 or 4 times to fix all of the problems, and they still are not fixed. Where do I begin? Two knobs were dented and scratched, the door, which cost me around $8,000, is bowed at the top and does not sit flush with the frame or the inner glass. The leading edge of the door was hitting the frame when I closed the door (how did the install crew think that was acceptable?), I can see light between the door and frame, the screen didnt fit so they took it back and never returned it, I can see the red shims between the sidelights and frame, and there is a pile of extra metal sitting on the side of the door. I understand there might be an issue or two, but this is ridiculous for the amount money they are charging.Each time they come out they don’t have the right tools or they need to take pictures and call the office and they will get back to me, which only happens sometimes. Two of their employees have told me that they believe the company is growing too fast and the customer service is suffering. The last service manager who tried to fix some of the issues with his spray paint and nail file told me that since its handmade it will have flaws, but I think that’s just a good excuse to produce poor quality products and get away with it. My appointment today with another service manager just got rescheduled for two weeks from now. They are in no rush to make things right. I have lost my patience and I’m filing a complaint with the Registrar of Contractors.

If you want to be treated fairly, dont use these people. The customer service manager, Jennifers motto is, we are always right and the customer is always wrong. They made a mistake on my gate design, she wanted me to put the latch on the outside of the gate. How stupid is that? I am supposed to go out my front door, down the street, up the alley to my back gate and unlock my gate, so I can let myself out. She absolutely refused to even discuss some other type of latch even though the sales person, Manny promised me the gate would be just like my old gate. He sold me the gate and the latch. I know they could have helped me solve the problem but Jennifer refused to even discuss it. Expensive gates, terrible customer service. Once they get your money, you get what they give you, not what they promised. End of story.Really? Your response to everyone is we cant find your order well contact Manley Mark your sales person in the Scottsdale office. He knows who I am.

Doors look great after the installation! Very nice work and took under an hour to complete. It was a bit noisy while the door was getting installed, but was well worth it.
