I’ll give them three stars because most people there were pretty nice. But wow, some woman with a major attitude problem also works there. In case her management is reading this review, she’s the one with a crazy fingernails. I’m a middle manager in one of the biggest customer service companies in the world, and she would be looking for a new job if it was up to me.

Called for over an hour to see if they had Propane, can not EVER get a Human Being on the phone. Have tried in the past regarding rentals, always get booted to Corporate. Decided to drive down hoping they were not out of propane. Two men standing around doing nothing, was told they cant do propane in this weather????? What BS! OMG...our wittle selfs might get wet..............I suggest the Service Station on McDonald & Granite Reef for Propane, they just filled my 3 tanks, no issues! Felt obligated to give them a FAT tip $$$. I know where Ill be going from now on.

I will grant the idea that I was 30 minutes until closing time when I came in. I was the only customer there and I’m looking for a U-Haul in the trailer that would’ve been upwards of $1600 when the girls rolled their eyes when I walked in and skeptically asked you mean for today?I immediately turned around and said well thank you very much but no thank you.If it wasn’t for the rolling eyes and the bad attitude we could’ve come to terms to pick it up morning but their nasty demeanor turned me off immediately. I hope they have better representation in the future.

I recently had a tow hitch and wiring loom installed at this location. I was helped by Michaela on the phone for the booking and she was also on the front desk when I arrived. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. There was a small problem with the parking sensors after the install but the team was very quick getting it resolved and I was back on the road swiftly. I would recommend this location.

I visited the Old Town Scottsdale location today. There were three employees working inside at the customer service desk and NONE of the employees had masks on. I was inside for 15 mins and none of the employees seemed to care about social distancing or masks. Theres literally a sign before you walk in stating you must wear masks.The customers service was also very poor. The gentlemen that helped me seemed uninterested and didnt help me with my large order. Will not be visiting this location again.

Super fast check in that was almost done with no contact, the easiest truck rental I’ve ever done.

I have been renting trailers from this establishment for the past 15 years I generally keep my trailer for long periods of time and they bill me weekly. I got a phone call today from Michaela asking if I could return the trailer tomorrow I told her no I’m still using it. She asked me how long I said I’d probably have it out for another month so she charge me for the whole month instead of billing me weekly because she was mad. I will never rent from this establishment again

Horrid, customer service terrible, always out of propane. Should have put signs by propane tanks when propane are out, so people dont have to wait for 10 minutes to get an answers.

Horrible customer service had an attitude because I was paying with cash and forcing them to open a cash drawer.....at 11:20

Charged my card 3 times. Which tied up a bit of my money ($2,400.00 to be exact.) Be very careful here. My money was returned but 3 business days later due to the impatient Uhaul representative.

They double charged me on my rental last week. Now, Ive been sitting on hold for 40 minutes and counting to clean up their mistake. Avoid this location at all costs!

Nobody was wearing a mask. Attendant filled my propane and then wiped his nose with his bare fingers before asking for my credit card, which I had to wipe down with disinfectant after he handled it.This was disgusting. Ill find a different place to fill my propane tanks.

Owner ripped off my mom. He does mechanic work out of the shop. My mom brought it by to have her O2 sensor replaced. For some reason he decided to charge her for spark plugs as well. I had just replaced the spark plugs and boots weeks prior. He also up charged on everything! I was not informed about the situation until after he quoted her $800-900 for a new catalytic converter. I shopped around and the labor and catalytic was no where near! 8-900. The highest quote we found was somewhere around 4-500. It is obscene that one man can take advantage of a woman in such a way. I intend to return and get a refund for the parts that were unnecessary. Stay away

I brought my vehicle here to have a trailer hitch installed and an employee by the name of Patrick stuck around later than his shift to wait for me to drive in from Phoenix. Not only did he do that, but he did a great job with the installation and took a lot of pride in his working installing it and explaining the work completed. Great service. Cant beat that.

Like I said, the staff and crew helping me was honest polite and very courteous and helpful. There were no hassles there are no extra fees and I love the company because Ive known the owners since I was a child

This place hardly deserves one star. I received service from the general manager If you could call it service he was rude right from the get go acted as if he did not want to help me . Apparently because I was renting a trailer only for about an hour . I will never go back to this particular u haul, you would think a general manager would know something about customer service. You lost a customer!!

I need to give a huge shout out to Terrrell who handled my situation like a Boss. I rented a 20 foot truck and reserved a storage unit weeks before my move with help from a customer service agent. I moved my home out of state, but when I arrived at Uhaul, to unload, my unit was the wrong size and there was a key issue with even getting in to the unit. This took so long in line waiting and trying keys in Tempe, that now everything was closed and I needed to turn my truck back in the morning. The gentleman, Tee who helped me, wrote me a note about what just happened and told me to take it to Old Town location where I was supposed to return my truck and they would help me. I wrote an email to customer service (still never received a response) and called and went directly in to the shop in the morning to see what could be done. Terrell went to work and found me a storage unit that would fit, gave me 24 hour access so I could find help again to lift my furniture and extended my rental truck one day to allow me to move. Way to handle a bad situation like a pro. I appreciate the assertive and professional assistance in this matter and will definitely use Uhaul again. Great job gentlemen!!!

I have neve seen such a lazy and rude business. The employee are lazy and rude dont waste your time go some place else.

The store manager & the other person that was with him when we pulled in were very friendly helpful. we were doing a night drop in with a new barely off the lot 26 foot with only around 1,000 miles on it total. even with them beeing closed when we pulled in the lot before they left they came & greeted us and showed us where the night drop box for the keys. I always have good service here

False advertising about rates. A refund would be nice.

Stay far away they will rip u off they told me I had an accident showed me a big hole The only reason I even thought it could be true was someone else drove the truck to the storage unit and other people told me the whole was in the door when I pulled up and no one had an accident they managed to get $200 out of me I should’ve known something was up they were very nonchalant like OK you can make payments didn’t even care No paperwork to sign saying I had an accident my fault I’m gullible I fell for it stay away from these people they are fat and lazy lying bunch There are so many other U-Haul’s out there do not take a chance with these people they also pulled up a camera be showing me the truck when you couldn’t see anything it’s all very questionable I would think there would be more to it if I actually did have an accident Didn’t even ask me about other people driving it I think they were too lazy to care they just took my money and probably going out tonight on it I’m the idiot let my cautionary tale keep you away

I was told it would take 45 minutes to put a hitch on my car so I made an appointment when he (I believe his name is Michael) told me they wouldnt be busy. Upon arriving for my appointment, he told me it would take 1.5 to 2 hours. 2 hours later I got back and they hadnt even started. I tried calling and emailing several times to confirm the appointment and check in progress. Not once was the phone answered.

This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with any company in my life. I made a reservation for a 17’ truck weeks in advance for my move from Phoenix to California. I received an order confirmation from Uhaul that confirmed a 17’ truck would be available for pickup from the location at UHaul of Scottsdale (3033 N Scottsdale road). I also used the Uhual website to schedule loading and unloading service. Upon arriving on 6/30 to pickup my truck, I was informed that they could not give me a 17’ truck. They had sent the truck out with someone else. They also could not give me a 19’ truck. Their only option was to give me a massive 26’ big rig which I was not comfortable driving across the state. After yelling at them, they finally were able to locate a 19’ truck way up in north Scottsdale. Since I was pressed for time (moving is pretty damn stressful), I accepted but only because I had no other option. To add insult to injury, I was charged $60.00 more for the larger truck AND I lost 2 hours on my moving day do to the mixup and extra time it took to travel up to North Scottsdale to pickup the other truck. As a result, I lost an hour of scheduled moving time with the loading service I had scheduled. Unless the store reimburses me for the extra charges I incurred and the hour of time I lost with the pre-paid moving service, I plan to raise hell with UHaul corporate. I had a reservation for a 17’ truck. They had my credit card on file. There is no excuse that the truck was not there. I trusted what I thought was a reputable company to help me with a big move and they failed miserably. - Eric Lukas
