Low level service for vehicles out. I was late and they did call to makes sure I still needed the vehicle, but they tried pushing my reservation out another 2 hours. I was there in 30 minutes of contact. There’s plenty of cans in sight too. Not like there was a waiting listThen during signing and acceptance, they were supposed to bring the bring it around. NO. they walked me out to the back and left me to back it out of a tight parking space. And the signs for exit were nonexistent. Only for equipment return.When I’ve rented before it was Tempe, and they offer far bette service.
Truly the worst U-Haul experience I could imagine. The owner (Rodney) is mean, unprofessional, and confrontational without cause. I went to the Old Town Scottsdale location for a hitch installation for my old car and had a great experience. I made an appointment at this location for my new car, and when I showed up, there was nowhere to park. I parked alongside a row of cars already created by other people in the parking lot and the manager came out and yelled at me in a very demeaning way. I asked him nicely where else I should park for a hitch installation and he said it wasn’t his problem and he’d be happy to have me towed. We then proceeded to wait in line for 30 minutes for him to continue to demean other customers. Luckily, we got a refund and will happily go somewhere else for the hitch installation. No respectable business owner should behave like this, and no man should talk down to a young woman like he did. It’s gross.
I drove in where I always do to get propane and the parking space was taken. So I went to pull forward to the customer parking ( waiting area) and the manager pulled his truck forward would not let me through. Was very rude and made me back up about 50’. Can’t believe anyone would treat a customer like he did. Never coming back.
The good: My 4 star rating is based solely on the quality of the customer service at this location. In particular the manager, Rodney, is exceptional.The bad: the U box shipping concept is totally flawed. One of our boxes was lost for over a month with no way for the company to track it and provide us with an idea of its location. This resulted in multiple trips to this location where I stood in line to be told that my box was not in fact at the facility.All that being said, I would give my business to this location again as I understand the negative aspects of my experience were outside of their control.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Wasn’t greeted when I walked in and wasn’t asked if I needed assistance. There were 4 people behind the counter, 3 of which weren’t assisting anyone. I waited in “line” in front of checkout for about 5 minutes.. looking directly at the employees. Eventually I spoke and asked if I was going to be helped and the red haired man told me the line was on the other side and someone down the row could help. Beyond terrible and highly disappointed.
Absolutely terrible! Customers beware! I needed a U-Haul for one day. One single day. That’s it. Nothing extra new fancy bells and whistle ‘s. The charges came out to $86. On my way to return the U-Haul, I was perfectly on time and they charged my account an additional $188! It overdrafted my account, and I could not put gas in the U-Haul to even get it back to the location. I asked, more than once, if my account would be charged anything more than $86 and they said no absolutely not. I’ve tried to talk to managers, and they can’t even explain to me why they charged my account $188 extra and now I have to wait 3 - 4 business days to get the money back Because my bank is currently disputing the charges. It’s pretty sad we’re not even the manager can explain to you why this happened. Do not go here. Go to a friendly neighborhood moving place.On top of that now I have $80 in overdraft fees in my account because they neglected to tell me that I would be charged anything. The most frustrating part about this is I asked more than once if there was any other charges going to be on my account. They completely treated me like I was the problem, like I was a nuisance, even on the way back they would not help me try to figure out some roadside assistance because the U-Haul was completely out of gas and I could not gas it up because they completely robbed me of almost $200.If you have to use this place and you have no other option. I implore you to get a prepaid credit card or debit card, and put the exact amount they tell you on the card and then use that card for your transactions that way they can’t rob you
Great experience at this location. Super friendly, competent, and helpful staff. The manager Rodney was amazing and ensured that the box deliver I could not order online (the call center couldnt figure it out either) was taken care of immediately. Highly recommend doing business at this location.

The staff was great in returning my uhaul trailer that I had rented to transport out 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce back to Cave Creek. There were not damaged even after an extensive inspection.The staff did make me back the trailer back in and for some reason I couldnt get it in the spot even Ive done this a million times. They have a large selection and were busy even on a Thursday morning.
The worst experience, waited in line over 30 minutes after we had already pre purchased a truck and equipment. The whole point of the online rental was to skip waiting in line….
They failed to have the proper Refill Fittings to re-fill barbecue tanks with a simple quick release fitting. They are NOT well equped.valve.
Reserved a 5’x8’ trailer at a location 20 miles south, it was listed as a guaranteed location on the website as opposed to “limited availability.” When I was 10 minutes away from the first location, I started getting calls and voice mails from two different numbers. I arrive to the first location and find out the proprietor was the one calling me, telling me that their guaranteed location didn’t have the trailer I reserved. He said I would get the $50 reservation fee refunded. He informed me that he checked the other services around the Phoenix valley and that apparently none of the other locations have this trailer. He said he got into contact with UHaul’s phone customer service, who was the second number that called me. So I called them to get a trailer, the representative explained that I would get the $50 reservation fee refunded for my trailer not being at the location I reserved it for, which was already about ten miles north of my house, but I picked it because it was the sole location listed as “guaranteed.”She confirms they have another trailer twenty miles north of the first location. So I go twenty miles further north to this location, where they confirm they have a single one of the trailers available. When I go to check out, I ask if that $50 would be refunded, and they deny me, and say that it’s only if they can’t “guarantee the equipment, not the location.” So I ask, “So if I hypothetically, I had to go all the way to Tucson to pick up this trailer, I still wouldn’t get that refund?” They confirmed that that is a fact, contrary to the first guy and the call center representative. I dropped the matter and just paid the bill.After this I took the trailer to the UHaul shipping and storage only about three miles from my house, where I had most of my stuff in a storage unit. As I pulled through, I spotted 2 or 3 of the 5’x8’ trailers in their lot. So apparently the Phoenix valley did in fact have trailers available, probably all over, and they were a heck of a lot closer than over thirty miles away.On a side note, when the first call center representative confirmed the second trailer location, she said I would get the information via text and email. I went and sat in a gas station parking lot for over 40 minutes waiting for the info to come in, because I was trying to be patient. I finally decided to call back and a different representative confirms that the new location details are available and I received the text and email within about three seconds of her confirming their existence, so they were probably waiting to be sent for that whole 40 minutes.
I had a U-Box storage container at this North Scottsdale Uhaul location for many years and I cant say enough great things about my experience.I have also rented Trucks and equiptment over the years and Rodney Zayas the GM and his team go above and beyond everytime.
Rodney had been an awesome guy. Great manager and great with his customers. I really was happy with his professionalism and help regarding my trailer and storage needs. So much better then I have experienced both in Florida of California
I come here at least twice a month and they are always helpful and friendly. They get the job done and make it easy.

We rent from U-Haul a lot and this is by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. We drove from California to transport a golf cart back and apparently we didn’t have the correct wiring for the hitch so they took four hours as we waited in a hot office. It was 90° out and they didn’t even turn the air on even after I asked several times and they left the front doors wide open. I finally asked them after 3 1/2 hours if they would please turn on the air as we were extremely hot. Then as we were heading back to California we realized the lights weren’t even working on the trailer. So now we are driving back to California with no lights on the trailer after paying $300 plus. I sure hope they give us our money back! Don’t go to this U-Haul!
Very rude manager, completely straight faced lied saying we could return our trailer to him and not have to drive across town and there would be, NO EXTRA CHARGES. Still charged my card $45 the other day. Called today only to get in a shouting match with the RUDE manager who conveniently forgot he said no big deal to us about the return. Now he says he will only give us $30 back when we were originally told we wouldnt be charged at all. Everything about renting from UHAUL was a joke. Customer service at all level was atrocious and pathetic. Disputing the charge on my credit card now. Dont bother to rent from them. Totally not worth it.

The manager here is a joke. Very disrespectful, confrontational, and overall unprofessional. Called in and spoke with two separate representatives at the store front and could hear him in background both times cursing at his employees or clients! I feel sorry for those that have to work under him. After reading a few reviews, it sounds like I’m not the only one who has had this experience. Uhaul needs to reevaluate this dude. I’d avoid this location if possible.
What an easy rental experience. Scheduling was quick, pickup was simple & drop off was no problem. We arrived right at closing but the staff was so nice and checked us in anyways. I would use the location for all Uhaul rentals.
Have to give a quick shoutout to this place! They installed a hitch on my Jeep. I recently broke my ankle so it’s not the easiest for me to drive, and when I mentioned that over the phone, they immediately offered to drive my car back to me which was a 20+ minute drive. The girl who drove it spent a few minutes wiping my car down with sanitizing wipes once she got here. They were super sweet and I greatly appreciate the customer service!
Id give it no stars if possible... My experience today 9-12-2020 started off bad.I booked appointment a week ago for tow hitch.Appt was for 730 am. I called in at 715 am to tell them Im on my way.They said that someone to do the work wont be here until 9am.I waited until then and when I showed up for my appointment they said I could pick it up early afternoon..They put someone ahead of me that didnt have an appointment..The staff working today are liars and should be replaced. Lots of people sitting around talking about life. Multiple apps booked for tow hitches and one man that can do it. Very lethargic work ethic...multiple people frustrated as iam sitting in lobby waiting..The staff working here today 9-12-2020 morning should be let go or at least put at new location thats not so busy.
Absolute nightmare experience. Booked 2 weeks ago, to be called 4 hours before my pickup time saying my pickup location had to be moved across town. After accepting the new location, I tried to pick it up after hours per my reservation, and the online check in doesn’t work. Save yourself the time and hassle and go somewhere else
I went here after visiting 2 other stores to find a brake controller for a trailer. The employee I worked with went above and beyond what I experienced at the other 2 stores. The employee went back to their installation department and got a part that I needed that they dont sell out front. They also came out to my vehicle and made sure the adapter was the right size and fit my 4 runner. I will be getting all my towing supplies here from now on.
I am not too sure why the manager think its okay to scream at his customer, We were just calling to confirm our cancellation. The manager told us its up to him to keep charging us. Which we will be locking our card for him not able to do so. We were only canceling as well because we were unable to get in, it says to call the manager but he was no help so we left an upset voicemail since we trying to move our stuff in and it wasnt allowing us to use our code. Once we called the next day he cussed us out as if it was our fault and told us he will continue to charge us. This is my first bad experience with u-haul. they are a great company but we will not be coming to this location again due to management. I really hope if anyone goes through this experience as well talks to corporate about this behavior. Thank you.
I showed up ill equipped for the trailer I was renting and not only did Rodney and Carty have patience, but both employees were determined to solve my problem. Rodney was clearly an expert and wanted to ensure I left the location with a safe set up. The professionalism and excellent customer that both employees displayed was incredible and I am very happy to have chosen this location.
When they installed the hitch on my car the blinkers were switched. not the end of the world. when i called the manager told me i had a very small window to come in several weeks later. the manager provided no alternative though it was them that screwed up. they eventually fixed it and the people i worked with for that were nice. thats there the 2 stars come from. manager gets zero

Just had a hitch installed on an Audi Q7. Mike and Nick did an awesome job! The wiring harness integration was very difficult and took longer to complete than expected, but these guys took the time to do it correctly. When I showed up they had a great attitude and were very professional. The dealership wanted a day and a half and these guys did it in less than a day. The installed price was seriously less than 20% of the dealership price as well. My experience could not have been any better!
Royal was very helpful! Although moving can be stressful, she made the moving experience pleasant. I recommend this Uhaul over all of the others in town!
Surprisingly good. Im used to renting UHauls in the past out of old greasy garages with horrible staff. This place is ultra clean and the staff is very well trained, super helpful, and genuinely helpful. Its like a one stop shop. Very surprised and very happy.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use this location. Rodney doesnt care about anyone but himself. Hell be the first one to tell you its not about making the customer experience a good one but making sure he makes his money. He treats his employees like trash and is always yelling at them, even in front of customers. Hell make up excuses about why you cant have the equipment you reserve (even if its right in the lot) just because be doesnt like you. The fact that none of his actions have gotten back to corporate blows my mind. Hell sweet talk his managers into thinking nothing he does is his fault. Ive personally witnessed him swearing and yelling at customers. The only stars this place deserves is for the assistant manager, Mike Costin.

These reviews are spot on. The trucks are fine and in good shape - the line there was horrible inside though. Fortunately I was using the online reservation via the mobile app (which was slow and buggy) but still got my out of there probably an hour before I would have otherwise. If you are going to use this location, prepare to wait a long time if youre not using that mobile app. The staff I did interact with were very friendly and got me on my way.

Saturday, August 3, 11:50 a.m.- 12:30 pm.Unbelievably horrible in every regard. I honestly dont know where to begin. It was Saturday, so we thought wed use the app. first mistake. Its Arizona, it was 108 and the app wants me to FIND MY TRUCK the parking lot. Found it...stand next to it and say, I found my truck...this is after typing in everything except your social security number.Now, weve been in the parking lot for about 20 minutes, and finally its time to go in to the service desk.Please understand...I prepaid, I used their handy app, I covered every base...Yeah...SERVICE?? Notsomuch. The app says Go inside, and theres a special area reserved, No waiting. Just pick up your keys...Yeah...Till the guys says rudely, These people have been waiting in line.Yes, they were in here, while I was outside finding my truck, taking my picture. Luckily, the app says I dont need to wait.The gentleman behind the counter ignores me, and turns to another customer, Did you make a reservation, mam? When she answered, No...that was it.DID EVERYTHING RIGHT...as a matter of fact, when I left (without a truck) I remembered that I had prepaid.And getting my money back from these dopes is gonna be a whole nother battle.
GREAT Management, very helpful and friendly. Super clean place and why not have the convenience of a moving truck at the same place as your storage unit? I will always be a loyal customer because if how kind and helpful they were and because of the convenience of one stop shopping sort of concept here.
I had some electrical wiring done at another U-Haul not in the area and they did not do a great job I took it in to U-Haul of Scottsdale and they totally redid the wiring for me at no charge they took great care of me and I am very happy with them I would recommend them for renting a U-Haul or having anything done to your vehicle or trailer
They have a great, convenient location - maybe they have too much business. We’ve been scammed into a larger rental and cheated on the gas level. We’ve rented three times in the last year. Each time, we’ve been overcharged - small amounts but it’s still WRONG! Once, the reserved size truck was not available - we had to go larger and pay more. Once, it’s a mistake. Three times?? Won’t rent there again. Also customer service is very poor with long waits despite reserving online. The manager is RUDE!! Go to a smaller outlet or rent elsewhere.I should’ve read the reviews before our first rent!! I went by U-Haul’s reputation as a firm. We definitely won’t rent from this store again. We may not rent again from U-Haul either - altho their national customer service is very good and responsive.
These guys were really accommodating when we needed a short term rental to move my business partner. They were booked but found a truck in between rentals and helped us out of a jam. Those 4 hours were well worth it. Clean and organized store too.
Uhaul wont allow you to rent a trailer pulled by a Jeep Wrangler unlimited with soft top for no apparent reason, only excuse is safety? Really? Jeep Wranglers have a roll cage it doesnt matter if its a hard or soft top. Uhaul, you have lost a customer for life, and I will tell everyone I know never to use you again.
An utterly useless and unreliable company. DO NOT GET A UBOX FOR MOVING.Even worse are the thieves they partner with at movinghelpers.com . I dont know what to recommend to you, it seems penske is better. I can 100% recommend AGAINST using a U-Box. I have used similar services in the past without a problem but my UBox order has been plagued with in my opinion unreliable, dishonest, crooks from movinghelpers.com and Uhaul. Nobody seems to know what is going on, movinghelpers are refusing to honor their quoted price, and I have no idea where my belongings are or if they will be delivered to my address. Refunds have been promised but not issued by movinghelpers.com.
I was driving down the street two days ago in my brand new Diesel Truck I purchased from Chapman Dodge in Scottsdale, pulling a dump trailer with 30,000 lbs. of roof tile and I realized the geniuses at the Dodge dealer did not put a trailer brake control in my truck, and I had no ability to stop with the large load. Then they wanted to charge me $600 to put one in. Amazing! I went to this Uhaul dealer during their busy time of day, close to closing to see if they could install a brake controller. The manager Michael, was extremely busy and he knew I was in a tight spot. He dropped everything and helped me install a brake controller. Great guy, great store! I would highly recommend them!
Rented a storage unit along with a utility trailer (for 3 days) to move my stuff. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would have given 5 stars except for the fact that they double charged my credit card for the trailer rental. After going in and discussing it with them they told me they would immediately reimburse my card for the error. A week later and no credit back to my card. Had to go thru my credit card company in order to have the charge reversed (which was a lot easier process than I had imagined).I hope that my issue is an isolated one, as every other aspect of doing business with this location was top notch.
TERRIBLE customer service!! Dealt with Rodney Zayas who was extremely rude! We reserved a one way truck online and for some reason his system showed us returning to same location as pick up...we explained that is not what we selected and he treated us like we were dumb...instead of showing good customer service at this point he talked over us and said he didn’t need the listen to us although we were trying to have him understand how we felt about the mess he basically said he was just reading what was on his screen and didn’t care to acknowledge our issues..we will not be renting from uhaul although I know people like him don’t usually care

Dealt with GM Rodney Zayas when picking up the truck. Who explained that a reservation for a pickup truck 48 hours for the weekend is a major inconvenience for them, which makes me wonder what their business model is about. He was also rude to his employee who clocked in with a comment about being actually glad to see him for work. The truck had a large motor oil mess I had to clean up so it didnt ruin my furniture and belongings. The employee who checked in the truck upon return was very pleasant at least.

U-Haul changed my pickup location to one significantly further away and did not notify me of the change. I tried calling and stayed on hold with U-haul customer service for 45 minutes before just giving up.
The good is it is clean. The bad is the customer service. Twice we have been there and couldnt get into our unit because their records are not accurate or they are just to lazy and wont look through the records. My sons girl friend, Alice signed up for the unit with my son. The first time I went there and asked to get in they needed permission from Alice and stated she was the only one able to give permission. I was there when we rented the unit and I know for a fact that both my son and Alice where on the contract. Nope it was only in Alices name. My son has been paying for the unit from the beginning. We corrected the situation at at that time by having Alice call and make sure that both myself and my son where on the contract. In fact she wanted to be taken off the contract. Second time there was no manager there and again they wouldnt let us in and again said that only Alice could give permission. Another half hour plus wasted trying to get in touch with Alice, she no longer lives in the area, before he could get in. Time to move the stuff to another storage place.
Came here to purchase moving supplies, did not rent a truck, so cannot speak to that side. Our experience was good, really friendly staff, and they had everything we needed for the packing and move.
I shouldve read the ratings on this place before wasting time. The manager Rodney was very cocky demanding and unpolite. Everything went bad for me the minute I drove up and parked in the wrong spot (Google maps driving derictions put me there). Once I realized I was in the wrong spot he demanded I move or he wouldnt answer any of my questions (in front of an employee).
Rented a van/truck there recently.....both times the equipment was dirty. First rental they did not put in blankets that we paid for. Second time we left the blankets that we paid for in the back of the van....we called them and they said they couldnt find them....right!!! I think theres recently been a management change.....it shows and its negative.Great location, very convenient but it offers nothing else. 👎

This location has a huge lot filled to the brim with trunks...after going through my one (and only) awful experience at this location I will NEVER use UHAUL or this location EVER again... I am a local business owner with an established company and an office on the west side of town who creates jobs for this community and provides a viable service. Uhaul at Hayden treated me like a common criminal for doing nothing more than renting a truck and extending my rental beyond the original estimated number of days.I rented a 10 truck at $19.95 per day and $0.79 per mile for 7 days. My bill at the end was nearly $600.00. Even though I was communicative about the extra days and Uhaul had my business credit card and ID on file they saw fit to call me on Day 7 with a combative and abrasive attitude telling me that I had the truck too long. I told the woman who called I have been dealing with Uhaul for over 20 years and its never been a problem keeping a rental out for extra days. After all, Uhaul is is business to -- rent trucks -- right?Fast forward, RODNEY ZAYAS, the GM of this location (who sees fit to proudly post his name and title on the front door of the store, as if managing a Uhaul retail location is any accomplishment in life) calls me and threatens to call the POLICE on me for stealing the truck. I hung up on him. Few minutes later the Scottsdale Police call me asking about the truck. This guy has the audacity to use the local police as a collection and recovery agency to get a truck back from a paying customer. The officer made clear there was no intent or malice on my end and I made clear to him my intention was to just terminate the contract and bring back the truck, which I did. Filing a false police report is a crime and is also libelous and I am pursuing both avenues currently to make sure Mr. ZAYAS gets whats coming to him for inconveniencing me and trying to smear my good name with the authorities. Are you reading this RODNEY? This is not over by a long shot. I know from the disrespectful way you spoke to me and from the other reviews I have read you have a lot of confidence and self-esteem stemming from your position of power over there at Uhaul -- pushing around a bunch of minimum wage idiots and renting junkers for $20 a day, but wipe that smirk off your face pal, youve stepped to the wrong person, finally, and Im going to make sure you slow your roll.Anyway, just read the other reviews and go elsewhere to rent a truck. I personally have terminated my relationship with Uhaul after renting trucks for my business at least once a month for many years. I have a call scheduled with an executive at Uhaul corporate and I may upgrade this review pending the outcome of that call.I am very disappointed in Uhaul for promoting this clown to a store manager. There certainly has to be other, more qualified, more deserving candidates.
Poor customer service. 07/15/15Walked in looking to purchase some moving boxes. Did at least 6 laps around the store waiting for the guy behind counter to ask if I needed some help. (His name was Joe I think, I overheard him on the phone when I first walked in). He just watched me walk around and around without so much as acknowledging me. (He was well off the phone by now). I walked out. Doubt he cared. Business must be good.
My husband and I just moved here and we were scheduled to drop off the truck at this location. Their lot was full of trucks and so we were told that they had to change the drop off location. Okay, no big deal. The thing is, the other location was 30 miles away and we already had the correct amount of gas in the tank for the return. I asked if he could check the fuel gauge to verify that the correct amount was in there since this is the location we were supposed to drop off at. Joel, the person “helping” with the return refused to look at the tank and said that we had to return it with the same amount of gas even though since we had to drive an extra 30 miles this means that we would have to buy more gas for the truck. The worst part was, he would not directly address my concern and would not provide any kind of explanation as to why he would not check the fuel gauge. Joel demonstrated the absolute worst customer service and care I have ever seen. Never rent a truck from here. He clearly does not care at all about customer care or satisfaction. I am truly appalled at his lack of customer service. Never renting a truck from here again.
It was very easy to rent a truck from this lication. The staff was friendly and helped answer all the questions we had. They helped save us money when we asked about dropping the truck at another location. We would have paid $50 more then we needed to.

The system was down the day I was there. But the associate still took care of everyone as quickly as he could. The drop off was very easy. Id give more stars but they charged me a $25 fee even though I brought it back cleaner than Id picked it up and with more gas.
I went there to have a hitch installed on my Dodge Ram. I bought the service online and I included trailer wiring and cabling as a service. The team there showed me I already had the cabling done on my vehicle. They discounted and refunded the fee. They had me taken care in 30 minutes and I was right out the door. Excellent and honest service. Thanks.

Scottsdale, for his great customer service, professionalism and management style in taking care of the clients needs with courtesy, professionalism and patience. I was extremely please with the services that I received at this location and would highly recommend the store for their courteous, friendly and outstanding services. On the day that everything else went wrong with my move, my customer service experience with Uhaul and the store manager, Scott, allowed me to have a smooth and outstanding experience at least with one aspect of my day, which was much needed and appreciated. This place is an absolute scam. Reserved my uhaul online to pick up the next morning and added on the $5 coverage to ensure if anything happened to the truck or our stuff it would be covered. Went in on Saturday morning to pick it up and they added on another coverage for $14 even though I told them I had already added it on when I reserved online. Whatever. I paid $96 and change upfront and then they charged another $26 and change for the extra miles it took to take the truck back AND they charged for gas even though we had filled it appropriately. The grand total to move our stuff from Tempe to Mesa and take the truck back was $123.50. Fast forward to today and I get a notification that my bank account has been overdrawn. I knew that couldn’t be right so I look into it and see there is a pending transaction from uhaul for the same amount that I paid upfront when we rented it, even though the entire transaction including the fee charged after had already been processed on Monday. I called them livid and they had the nerve to try and tell me that is was my banks fault and that it was just the transaction showing again because it was the money that was set aside while the charge was pending. It made no sense and I told the guy on the phone that has never happened with my bank and I have banked with them for years. I even told him the total amount had already been processed and charged to my account the previous day and I shouldn’t have another charge for the first amount. He kept assuring me I was wrong and they didn’t double charge and told me to call Wells Fargo. Long story short I call my bank and the guy I spoke with tells me they’re full of it and that it was a whole different transaction that they charged to my card today. This location tried to double charge me and thought I wouldn’t notice another almost $100 being taken out of my account, and not even that but they refused to acknowledge the error on their part and did not even offer me a refund but instead told me to just call my bank. Absolutely horrible experience from beginning to end, will never work with uhaul again and definitely not from this location.
Let me start by saying the staff were pretty friendly, however that didnt mean they knew how to help!A microburst came through the valley over the summer and lifted the roof up for water to come in and flood my storage unit, as it did many others (buyer beware being on the second floor). After being with a claims agent for over two and a half hours, he assured me I would be contacted within 48 hours as U-Haul was taking responsibility. A week goes by and nothing, I call the insurance company (which oh by the way is owned by U-Haul, its not an outside agency) and they said no claim was ever filed.For your reading pleasure, Ill speed up the story to I spent hours on multiple phone calls being transferred from the insurance company back to this location. The results? Absolutely nothing, simply filing new claims every call. Personal opinion but the whole set up seemed like a scam!, Buy top dollar insurance when getting a storage unit...thats your only chance and even that may not be enough!
Quick and easy, hooked up my 2002 Dodge Dakota 4×4 on a trailer and away we went. Wish the guy wouldve shown me all the places it was chained in though - wouldve been helpful.
Does this review matter? probably not but if you have the option of going to another location consider it. this place is always a disappointment. i thought id give them a 4th try but sadly i was mistaken. staffing, scheduling and competence are not their strong points.
They dont have basic customer service,no experience i dont recommend this location.

WARNING: this place will scam you by charging you exorbitantly for returning the truck with ANY LESS GAS than the precise amount you started with. In my case, I was given this truck with 3/8ths of a tank, and told that, if I returned it with less than 3/8ths I would be charged $4 per gallon to return it to the starting point. Knowing this, I simply returned it with 1/4 of a tank and figured I would just eat the $4ish difference. Much to my chagrin, I was billed, the following day, for $38 for 2 gallons of gas. Upon seeing this on the bill I called their customer service and was told that there is a $30 service charge ( In addition to the 2 gallons of gas. I voiced my concerns on the phone, asking them to be reasonable but they wouldnt budge. In fact, they told me what an idiot I was for not putting gas in it myself. They justified this by saying that its states theres a $30 service charge on the contract, however, these details of the fine print were never relayed to me by the gentleman in the store.So, Long story short, Uhaul gets an F for their policies. Uhaul gets an F for their price gouging. Uhaul gets an F- for their reprehensible customer service.Caveat Emptor!
They gave me a truck with less fuel then they stated and then accused me of not filling it up to the right amount. Good thing I took a picture of the gas gauge before I left. They treated me like I was trying to rip them off.
I had to use UHaul because of their location and my lack of time to find an alternative. It took THREE phone calls to set up my reservation. Each phone call came with its own unpleasantness. The first call was so poorly connected that I had to ask if they could call me back to hopefully get better reception. The person on the phone said they couldnt call me back, great - thanks for the great service. I called back and the reception was great, but the phone went silent after three minutes and AFTER they took my credit card information. I waited two minutes and kept asking if anyone was there before hanging up and trying again. The third time seemed to be the charm, but the person on the other end of the line was anything but charming. I received my reservation and ended the call.The whole process took over 20 minutes, ridiculous. To boot, the availability of the truck I was trying to rent was different to all three people, what a joke. Finally, my window for pick up varied with the 2 people I spoke with. The first person told me my time frame for pick up of three hours was just fine; the second person said absolutely not, I had 1 hour at most.Will not use UHaul again if I can avoid it...
Called to see if they will Re-Certify propane tanks (Tanks older than 10 yrs must be re-certified ). The nice lady on the phone said sure -we do that and everything for Propane and was even nice enough to give me their price per Gal.. After I removed my full RV tank and loaded it into my truck along with my empty one, i went off to Uhaul to finally get re-certified on both Tanks.. Mine are 2005 tanks, in almost new condition but ok, pls re-certify so I can get them filled again. Tying up the tanks and driving over, I was told to back right in. I went ahead and untied everything and pulled them out of the truck bed only for them to tell me that my Tanks had expired and they could NOT FILL THEM. I explained I had just called them and they told me specifically they could re-certify.. The Gas Guy said oh sorry, must have reached the Call Center.. I mentioned I had called the 480 local number, but nope- was call center, they dont know anything.... Thanks U-haul for wasting an hour of my Day..
Rented a GMC Sierra pick-up and trailer. Great experience! Friendly and prompt staff. Will rent again from this location, for sure!!
Good service and fit me in a truck even though I didnt have an appointment. Super easy for pick up and drop off.
Place was woefully understaffed. 4-5 customers waiting in line with 1 person working when I picked up truck rental around 7:30am. When I returned truck that afternoon around 3:00 I was # 6 in line with, again, only 1 person working. He was turning away business because there was no one in the yard to move trucks that were blocking trailers that a potential customer wanted to rent. When I finally was waited on I was told no one was available to check my truck in and I would receive an emailed final statement. Five days later, no email. I had to call to get final bill sent to me. Lastly, was told I needed to return truck full of gas. Gauge was on “F” when I drove out. Upon return, having driven 15 miles, the truck took just shy of 8 gallons to bring gauge back to “F”. Only 2mpg? I doubt it.....gauge was obviously faulty and tank wasn’t full when I took it off the lot.

There are helpful people work there they helped me jump my car when I was stock there.
Dealing with this location is one of the most unfortunate situations of my life. The incompetence of the staff was mind blowing. Avoid this location at all costs. Seriously infuriating experience, every time. Habitually understaffed, with ignorant staff at that; youre in for a long wait and an absolute lack of professionalism or respect. Owners of this location clearly do not care about the staffing or management.
I have rented from uhaul nunerous times and the process is never smooth. Once they have your money takes forever to turn your stuff in and dont get me started on their minimum 3 day rental. The overall express check in experience from uhaul is also a waste of time. I still have to give the desk the info such as where I am returning the trai itler to, what I am towing with, etc.... all over again. I have decided after this last experience {waiting forever to turn in the trailer) I am buying my own trailer. I will never give another penny of my hard earned cash to Uhaul. Ever!
DO NOT GO HERE!!! DISHONEST AND FRAUDULENT. I used a truck for less than 2 hours - travel less than a 5 miles and was charged $700 for roof damage. They did not contact me, show proof, or anything - just charged me $700. It would have been impossible for me to (1) inspect the roof of prior damage (2) damage the roof based on where I traveled.
Only 10 times more expensive than renting on Turo. Save yourself the money and pain.A truck on Turo was 50 for 24 hours with 150 milesYou do the math next time you rent from this place for me it’s the first and last time

Went there to refill my propane tank. Gage Day proceeded to curse at me when i wanted to park in the propane customer parking but a trailer was parked there instead. A smiling manager came out and ignored Gage Day grabbing his crotch in front of me and my wife. Gage Day should work somewhere else.Went to the Sinclair on Bell and 56th to fill my tank. 5 stars to the Sinclair on Bell and 56th.

Went there for a tow hitch installation and had THE WORST experience; Super unprofessional installation, severe damages to my vehicle and the technician try to cover it all up. Whats even worst is U-Haul customer service - so slow and unresponsive and they did not take full responsibility. I guess they are okay for boxes and tape but if you need something more, do yourself a favor and dont... I wish I had read all these reviews before..
Can’t thank them enough with all of their help. Drove from Omaha with a car in tow and then couldn’t get it off the trailer. Not one but three guys all helped out lifting the front end. They really went above and beyond to help us out.
Rented at this place for several years. You have to use their disc lock for your unit. I lost my key and only option is to call a locksmith. Customer service is slow. Never anyone working desk. Pay a premium price for mediocre service
