Love this company! As someone who was recently moving into a new home with my family, I was short on funds and was getting high quotes from stone suppliers all across Washington. I know a few friends who live in the south Seattle area that have shopped around for materials in Georgetown, as its supposedly one of the best spots for selection. There are some big names but one friend suggested I give a newer company a shot as they were just starting up, had worked with him on a larger commercial Project and said that theyd do a great job providing what I need for my new home (and potentially our office space). Well, I decided to go in after emailing back and forth with Kenny at Design Stone. He had a lot of suggestions, insight, and provided me with the options the company could offer. He also helped explain a lot about their products, sourcing, price breakdowns, etc. without ever trying to push a specific type of stone for my project. I gave him some general ideas of what I was looking for and he started off with what options fit the bill and then added in some alternatives I may like, which also fit into my price range. Lets just say the granite and quartz are beautiful and you definitely need to tour the warehouse as opposed to just looking at their brochure and pamphlets, though those will suffice for giving you plenty of knowledge before your trip down. As they are a newer business and essentially a startup compared to other stone suppliers in the area, they make up for the slight rough edges in their display area by providing straightforward, honest, and quality products AND service from their staff. I feel like the other guys are quick to blow you off because they may get higher volume of orders, but everyone at Design Stone took my project seriously and worked with my designer and fabricator as well to make sure everything turned out perfectly. I am glad I went to them and even more thankful that my buddy recommended the company (thanks Jamie!). As we are looking to redo the interior of our offices soon, Design Stone will be the clear choice and I hope to get that work started by the 3rd quarter of 2020! Very helpful warehouse staff. Wide selection of quartz which resembles natural marble, exactly what I was looking for.
