We had a problem with our oil furnace (explosion). I called Friday late morning asking to get on their schedule for some one to come out to look at it. I was expecting sometime next week maybe and because of the explosion thought that it wouldnt be good news. One of the Tecs showed up maybe at 3 PM same day to my surprise, Sorry I didnt get his name. He did a full service and got us back running in a short time, he was great. Thanks Sound Oil Company. I am very impressed with this service. They solved a problem with my furnace that nobody else could. They bring my oil when I need it and that has worked out well. I would recommend using them without hesitation.

I have an oil furnace and I needed someone to come out and take a look. I had to tell the woman on the phone three separate times that I was not on a maintenance plan and this was my first time calling. She said because I wasnt on the maintenance plan, that I couldnt be helped.

Sound Oil was the only company willing to help us during the recent snow storm. We have a new baby and going without heat it not an option. We bought our new home with very little oil in the tank. When we explained our circumstances they had somebody over within 2 hours to add oil and start our furnace. Professional service from start to finish.

We recommend this company if you need heating oil service, after doing some research we chose Sound Oil to deliver.We were surprised at how much better their pricing was and that they didn’t charge us anything on our first furnace service which was much appreciated. Apparently they have been working in Seattle for 70 years, they explained our furnace to us which was nice.Everybody from the mechanic to the office folks have been very pleasant, and have sincerely thanked us for our business many times. Sound Oil totally provided us with great service today! Their pricing was better than the company that served the home before plus they got us heat today when others told us 3 to 4 days. We really appreciated it.

Constistanly great service! We are on auto fill, and have never come close to running out, which had happened to us 4 times with the last company, that no longer exists. That also saves us from having to pay for a full fill up. Though I do believe they have payment plans available. We also have a maintenance contract for the furnace which is basically the same price as a yearly tune up would be. Thats great because no matter what/when something breaks, they come for free. We had to use that once, after a power outage and the furnace wouldnt reignite and has freezing weather.

Fantastic customer service, both with fill-ups and with repairs. Knowledgeable, helpful, and very considerate staff. Although Sound Oil was not the first heating-oil company I have tried, they will assuredly be the last Thats how confident I am that I will never have to go anywhere else. Sound Oil was just at my home and did an excellent job. They were able to diagnose a problem others couldn’t. They were clean and courteous, and charged about half of other quotes. Apparently they are specialized with oil heat, and they were very professional. I was almost out of oil and they had my tank filled within an hour! What is really nice is that they allow you to pay each delivery off over 5 months, which is VERY helpful.

UPDATE! (ORIGINAL POST BELOW THAT)After I posted on Google and Yelp that got the attention of the sales staff and they called me within 1 hour of putting a post on Yelp and Google. Jordan vowed to make it right, which I afforded him the opportunity through a quote showing a generous discount for my troubles. Once I started dealing with Jordan directly he was punctual and provided excellent service, did everything I asked. He also explained that they had some hiccups due to new employees from a recently acquired company that werent quite up to speed on their systems. I can totally understand that, he also assured me that they addressed this issue with a meeting and took my concerns very seriously, I appreciated that. Lastly, Jordan was able to offer same day service and didnt even hassle me for payment right away before setting up the delivery. When I got home the tag was on the door indicating they had already been there to make the drop. We are warm now, the end. Hopefully the new front line people can get up to speed and take a page from Jordans book when it comes to customer relations. HINT: If you provide a product/service, dont sound off put when I call to inquire about said product or service!ORIGINAL POST 12/10/2017:Been dealing with Sound since moving into our NE Seattle rental 3 years ago. When we first set up an account and ordered $900 worth of oil they were punctual and sent someone out within a reasonable amount of time, likely due to the fact that they already had a truck around and it was no sweat off their back. Great, next fill we didnt do a full fill, didnt seem like a problem, still a good $300-400 worth of oil. Now in December I have run out of oil and would be in the market for a full fill of my 300 gal tank if I could get Sound Oil to even come out. I called 3 times, first time the lady said they didnt have me down as being empty, meaning you havent come out to measure? OK. Called again, told them I wanted a service call in addition to my oil because my furnace was acting weird, told oh yeah service rep will call you back yeah never happened. Called again, answering machine.I am done dealing with these guys, I am checking out another company HINT: in Ballard and they sell Oil and they are a Company. Their person already offered me a solution that Sound never even told me which is to get some Diesel fuel at the gas station to hold over until oil arrives. I never knew this was a solution and my family has been freezing for a couple nights. At least they could have offered that much to keep our business until they were available and actually scheduled someone to come out. Easy steps to retaining a customer not followed. Fail.

Sound Oil has been very good to work with. They are prompt with their deliveries and the guys that work on the furnace have been great! Don’t hesitate to use them if you need heating oil. It just reminds me of good old fashioned customer service.

We have been extremely pleased with the customer service from this company. They have gone above and beyond on many separate occasions, sometimes not even charging us for minor repairs needed on our furnace. Whenever we have needed a service tech, they have sent someone right away, within a few hours of our phone call, which is very appreciated when you dont have heat in your house due to a malfunctioning furnace. What a terrible service provider. I have so many issues with these people so prepare for a rant of multiple issues. 1st issue: expensive! 1200$ to fill our tank. #2 the utility guy didnt know what he was supposed to do when he came to the appointment. And was very rude the entire time #3 our tank mysteriously was out of fuel (we hadnt used it since it was supposed to have been filled because of summer) and they said no leak was detected. #4 there is an office lady that needs to be fired. She is so unprofessional it hurts. These people are crooks, liars and their service is way to expensive.

I would like to thank Sim, a Sound Oil furnace technician for his excellent work. We had four other companies try and fix our furnace problem with no results. It cost us hundreds of dollars in the process. We called Sound Oil, who we obviously should have called first, and they sent out Sim. He quickly fixed the problem, explained what the others had been missing, and the furnace is running like a champ. We have also switched to them for our oil service.

Everyone involved was great!! Hats off to Jordan! His patience & fact - full/informative conversations convinced me to stay w/oil, considering converting to gas.

After repeated requests to call me while tech at home, ( I do not live nearby) so I know what work might be needed - I have given up. After over 40 years with Rossoe, they were great, however after being acquired by Sound Oil, I will no longer be a customer of theirs. Nightmare.The owner contacted me more than once to correct the problem I encountered. His efforts are much appreciated and do not go unnoticed. He wanted to make a wrong, right. His attention to my experience says they do care about how they run their business.

Our family has used Sound Oil for 45 years. My parents started with them, and now my family continues. We have never had to worry about running out of oil, and they call us each summer to service our furnace. They provide old fashioned customer service, which is so rare these days

Rude..called for a service repair, I have no heat and because I dont buy oil from them they have no time for me. They only take care of the people they rip off with there high ass oil prices.

Its the weekend, we called for emergency service because we have no heat. The tech that came out was here with an attitude, took one minute to look at my furnace said he was nit going to get his hands dirty and was not going to work on it and turned around and left. I called the company and they said they gad to go with what tbe tech says.I would not recommend this place which is very disappointing because we have dealt with Rossoe for years and now that they have merged sounds,like we will be looking for a new oil company.

My roommate called to set up an oil fill and I took the info she got to finish the order. Roommate was told we would have to do it by 10 for a service today. Called around 920 but Aiden was on the line and was told theyll call me back. Arouns 950 I called back so I can figure out if I should organize our fill with Genese since that was also another option she looked into.Was disappointed in the levels of communication. Also they wanted my ssocial security for a credit check.Hopefully the fill will be smooth

I was charged $105 just for them to come out and say I needed the furnace vacuumed. It was 5pm when they finally show and you could tell that this was his last stop and he didnt want to be here. The guy was rude, left dirt on the carpet and wasnt even here for 10 minutes. He complained that there was no service record showing last maintenance. I told him he needed to complain to his people since they were the last ones to do maintenance on my furnace. When I call Sound Oil and told them about it, the service manager just said that was unlike him. When I asked if $105 was fair treatment, I got It is what it is.

I had purchased a house for my parents less than two months ago and we come from the midwest where oil heat is not an option, so I was completely unfamiliar with how it works. My parents oil tank emptied on a Wednesday, so they called the sales representative on the card that was left for us when we first moved. They called daily and were told each day that they would have oil/heat by the next day. Finally, they got oil 4 DAYS LATER. In those four days, the nighttime temperatures were in the 30s. The person delivering the oil said that they should wait an hour, then turn the heat on. An hour later, it still didnt work. When my mother (who is legally blind and currently going through chemotherapy) called back, they said that the delivery person should have explained that the furnace needed to be reset and asked if she could just go do it since he did not. When she explained why she was unable to go to the basement, they then asked if her daughter could go and then her caregiver. (I was not at the house and her caregiver does not feel comfortable with doing that task.) After I called to find out about how it went and my mother explained what happened (or didnt happen), I called Sound Oil and spoke with someone said he would have to charge for sending someone back out, even though they should have taken care of it when they were there. My parents would also have to wait until hours later for the person to possibly return, but he would call to let them know for sure. (He never called.) When I stated that the possibility of someone coming back out AND them charging for what should have been done already was unacceptable, they were not willing to get someone there sooner or just fix the simple problem. I left a houseful of guests to drive a half hour to reset the furnace. When the representative showed up, without calling first, after I had already come and gone, he told my mother that he left his family to come out and needed to get back home. Im not sure why he would try to evoke some kind of empathy from my parents when his family was probably warm those past 4 days and I also had to leave my home, even though I had already paid his company to take care of this matter. In the end, Sound Oil will not be called to service my home in the future. What could have been a simple fix was made into something much bigger by delayed service, forgetting, and wanting to nickel and dime for a service that should have already been done.

Horrible company. Never use them!! Horrible customer service. Will send you to collections for bills that were never supposed to be paid. Use the other guy.

We are new customers and Sound Oil was very responsive on the weekend when we ran out of oil. We were new to oil heat and should have been on the delivery service sooner so that wouldn’t have happened.

50 cents more per gallon then market value, Free services but they get there money in fuel and Service contracts!
