Ordered a couple of bags, and picked them up in person. Super happy with the bags, they are exactly what I was looking for, made in the US, specifically Seattle.. and the prices are in line with other hand built options. The person that we spoke to when we picked them up was super friendly, and encouraged us to look around and was quick to answer questions.

Friendly staff, amazing stuff, but quite possibly the most confusing hours I’ve encountered. The hours on their door, in their voicemail, on Maps, and on their website are all different.

Make sure you check their hours and enter from 1st Ave. The door is by Beast Mode and you will be going up some stairs. Im impressed with what Ive seen so far-fitting the bag to the bike and the quality of the product. I havent brought one home yet though.

Ive been traveling and commuting with my panniers for almost a year now and my experience with the bags has been great. Theyre not advertised as fully waterproof, yet, Ive ridden 40 minutes in heavy rain without any water getting in my bags (without having to seal the seams). Recommend

Extremely well thought out bags made in Seattle by a company with good ethics. What more could you ask for?

Great little shop with a well curated touring-oriented collection, staffed by passionate, helpful folks. Ricky was great, gave me a lot of tips for starter touring in the Puget Sound. Beautiful bags too with thoughtful features and quality craftwork.

I want to love my swift bags but theyre awkward for handling off the bike and they dont hold all that much stuff for how bulky they are (particularly the pannier backpack). I use my front bag and pannier everyday because theyre what I have but am considering other options because, after almost a year of use, I just cant get used to the awkward transition. To top it off, each time I head in to their shop, I feel as if Im bothering them and they dont care for me as a customer and fellow cyclist. I went in and asked about making some alterations to my bag to attempt to make it a little more user friendly and was told to email about my inquiry, which I did.I was promptly told that they werent willing to alter my bag in any way and wished me luck. Why even direct me to email if youre going to shut me down?Overall, Im disappointed with Swift Indistries. As a native Seattlelite, I love that theyre a local company, they encourage bike adventures like camping and embracing the daily commute but they miss the mark when it comes to really caring for customers. The bags are very stylish but awkward if you plan to take them off the bike to go into the grocery store or something of that sort. Heaven forbid you might have to put the loaded bag back into the bike without a partner to hold your bike down.Lots of people love their Swift bags but theyre just not cutting it for me.

Overpriced for hipsters. Not waterproof at all. They make the following excuse:______This design focuses on light-weight over waterproof. The internal drop liner is made from waterproof textiles, and we have designed the bag to avoid any stitching in the liner body. Moisture that enters the bags will do so only at the seams, reducing the amount of weather that can enter the bags._______They suggest it is the customers job to seal the seams:______________We do a stupendous job weatherproofing our baggage through design and material choices. When moisture enters our bags, it is through the seams, not through the textiles themselves. Can I waterproof my bags? We recommend using Silicone Seam Sealer products that are made for the outdoor industry. Applying seam seal when the bags are new and clean is ideal. You will need to disassemble the mounting hardware on your panniers in order to pull the bags inside out.__________They dont do a stupendous job: water entered my bag within 3 minutes. It is simply NOT the customers job to seam seal the product. It can be done efficiently, easily and thoroughly while the bag is being made. Not after...Further, the Hinterland bags cannot be turned inside out because the drop liner is attached to the outside fabric. Further, the drop liner IS stitched. It is made of fabric and the fabric is sewn together, not glued or welded. So, dont buy from these hipsters. If you are a hipster and have $266 to blow on a poorly made product and you get the money from your parents, go for it. If you are spending your own hard-earned money then dont spend on this product. Not for touring cyclists and not for commuters.Buy Ortlieb or Vaude. Both are premium products that are not cheap, but are cheaper than Swift and both are waterproof. Both are more suited to riding in the rain.
