Their website was extremely easy to use and schedule an appointment. I arrived at my appointment time, was greeted within seconds, and was told it should take about 40 minutes (to repair my windshield crack), but it only took 20. Everyone was courteous, professional, and obviously took pride in their work. Amber was awesome! If I didnt know where the crack had been, Id never be able tell where it was. Amber cleaned all of my windows and vacuumed my vehicle after completing my repair also.

Getting the windshield replaced at the scheduled appointment date/time was not possible as expected. When scheduling the appointment online, the quoted price was $850, and it asks for insurance information if you want to file a claim and says Safelite will take care of everything.I arrived for my appointment to be told the amount will be $1,150 and Safelite doesnt have any claim number from insurance so I would have to pay the full amount and talk to the insurance company about filing a claim.A couple recommendations I might make based on this experience:1. Accurately quoting services when scheduling an appointment should not be difficult. I asked why the price different and was told, its probably the recalibration. I advised the online quote was $500 for replacement and $350 for recalibration to which I was told, the recalibration is $300 so Im not sure.2. If you advertise handling everything with insurance, it would be a great business practice to call a customer the day before an appointment if the insurance aspect is not settled so Im not showing up for the appointment to find out nothing has been handled. Of course I couldnt go through with the appointment and filing myself since I did not have pictures for the insurance claim since Safelite advises thats all taken care of on their side.

They did a great job on my repair, but the technician that did the repair broke my dash cam mount. He didnt tell anyone. The manager was useless there. All she would say is that the technician said he never entered my truck except to vacuum.

They will get the job done right. I had my windshield replaced and two tabs that hold down the plastic cowl cover at the base of the windshield were broken during the replacement. It was below freezing out when the work was done and the plastic was just brittle - not their fault. I didnt even realize anything was broken until a month later when I was driving on the highway and the plastic cowl started vibrating against the windshield. When I submitted a warranty repair claim, they immediately agreed to replace the part. Their willingness to get it fixed right is greatly appreciated.

I had a break-in and got my car at Shawnee location for installation of new windshield and drivers side window. They said they will vacuum the car and clean the broken glass.The first time I took my car for the service, they did not vacuum the glass properly and installed new glass on the drivers side. Each time I opened or closed the door, I could hear glass pieces shaking and moving in the door. A black strip around the windshield on the outside was not correctly placed either.I had to take my car again, and they said they cannot do anything about the strip outside the car (which I assume they must have taken out to put the new windshield in), but vacuumed the glass pieces out the door.
I had 2 chips in my windshield on my 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. I was able to get them fixed for $175. Service took about 45min. They filled the chips, also vacuumed the car and cleaned all the windows. If the chips do expand into cracks this winter they’ll apply the cost of this repair to the cost of a new windshield, so nothing to lose. I was able to schedule my appointment and pay online which was convenient. Very happy with the service.
Super fast friendly and upfront about cost and time. Im pretty pleased. Plus I can put my heat on in my car now so thank you for that. (If you have a crack in your front windshield you shouldnt put on your defrost, I opted for no heat to be safe.)
I brought my car in recently for a windshield repair. To this Shawnee location. I was left with the crack in the photo below. Which is much worse than the original crack I had. For reference the crack is a quarter size across in width.I spoke with a different technician from Safelite and was advised the original repair was done terribly. He couldn’t fix it without ruining the entire windshield then I would be forced to use my insurance company and pay the deductible.I’m fully aware the cracks can’t be perfect and they’ll still be seen slightly. However this is terrible and worse than the day before I brought it in.When I spoke with customer service they told me I had to use my insurance and replace it. It would be on me. Then when I spoke with the shop I was met with rudeness and told ‘Well you came in with a cracked windshield so it’s still cracked as it was.’Rude and unacceptable behavior to clients who are not happy with the quality of work done. Will not be going back to this location.

Fast and easy experience. I had a small ding in my windshield and wanted to get it repaired. This is my first experience with this type of service. I scheduled an appointment online but I chose to pay at the location, however, you can pay online upfront. I waited no longer than 40 minutes from start to finish. Employees were practicing safe distancing but I chose to wait outside. Clean, friendly and fast. If you need a repair I highly recommend.

I had my windshield replace one week ago. I come out of the store and saw a small crack coming from the bottom of my windshield. As I drove home it became larger and larger. Nothing had hit my windshield that I am aware of and because I am staying and working from home, I do not drive much. I called to report a warranty service. They came and told be that there was an impact point and it did not fit the warranty, I would have to pay again. I am floored. If something hit my window, it would have to be very low impact. Bad glass? Bad installation? I researched and found both of these as potential issues. Be warned, the warranty is worthless. The replacement was well over $400.00 here. What a waste.

Out of five different quotes for having my windshield replaced in my 1997 Tahoe, they were by far absolutely the MOST expensive. Regardless of the incredible warranty they were offering. Way too rich for my checking account.

Went there on 11/2 about having my driver side window checked, wont be going back. My window regulator was broke and it LITERALLY says in the website description that they repair regulators, but they wouldnt even look at mine. Both techs at the store seemed uninterested in my repair even so far as giving me instructions to do the repair myself if I buy all the pieces. So instead I gave money to a friend who fixed the window in an hour and got paid for it. Ill take my service where Im appreciated.

They were so kind! Our car window got smashed when our car was broken into while we were staying in Kansas City. We had a four hour drive back home on the highway and stopped by to see if they could get us in. They couldn’t fix the window, but they put a temporary covering on and vacuumed up the broken glass for us for free. They also set us up an appointment for when we got back home to Tulsa. Could not be more happy with them!
Found a rock chip while cleaning my windshield. Made an appointment with Safelite through my auto insurance app, showed up at their location, got it taken care of in less than an hour. Chip is barely visible now and I feel much better knowing its less likely to continue breaking. Super knowledgeable, friendly staff who fully explained the process and warranty. Auto insurance covered the cost completely and Safelite made sure it was covered before starting work to ensure I wasnt stuck footing the bill!
I have a repair on an RV. However I cant schedule it on the website as it is not a regular vehicle. Since their phone will not let me talk to an agent, they are useless to me.

Ive used Safelite for windshield replacements in the past without issue, but this last trip will be there last time. First I scheduled a mobile repair for a small chip in my windshield. They gave me a window of 12-5pm so I rearranged my schedule to make sure my car was available. They called at 4:58 pm to let me know they couldnt make it that day. Basically wasted my entire afternoon waiting for them to show up. I decided to take the car to them instead. I showed up and the girl at the desk confirmed my appt and handed me a letter and told me to sign here. The technician took my car and made the repair. He came back and informed me that the chip spidered but it was barely noticeable. I took three car and left. What started as a small led than a dime size chip turned into a huge spot 3-4 in diameter with 4 cracks in every direction. . Its so bad you its blinding when driving into the sun. I called and they basically said too bad and i would need to post for a full replacement. I wont be using safe lite again if this its how they treat customers.

The replacement was very fast and everyone was friendly. Our tech Stefan was amazing. He walked us through each step, told us what to look for in terms of shoddy workmanship if we ever have to get the windshield replaced again, and answered every stupid little question we had with a smile and positive demeanor. He helped make a stressful experience so much better.

Went in to get a crack filled. I checked online with there live chat about being able to just walk in and they said it could happen just had to be prior 2:00 pm. Went in and the guy in the front said they couldn’t do it because they were filled even though their online contact said it was fine.

Had my windshield replaced. All was good until there was a crack starting from the right edge no more than two days later. Took it in and they wanted to charge me again saying it had nothing to do with their process and we must have had a chip. There was no visible damage and no way it was a chip that caused it. Very disappointed at their service and lack of empathy from the front desk person or any technician.

Scheduled appointment for 3. They didnt even take my car in until 3:45. The repair then took half an hour longer than they said it would, plus an additional 20 minutes because they broke my door latch and had to take the door apart again. Not a great experience. Ill almost definitely use a local independent shop if I ever need a replacement again, they generally care about their customers time.

The manager at this location needs significant customer service retraining. Twice Ive gone to this location (2 1/2 yrs apart) to have a simple rock chip repair & both times the manager was so uninterested in helping that he flat out lied about service. Safelite is a preferred partner with my insurance company so Im certain this man knows an insurance claim didnt HAVE to be opened before they could help but, he claimed it did or Id have to pay out of pocket. OK fine, I called & opened a claim but the technician who said himself that he could help right now was suddenly now unable to help (but still sitting idle at the front desk) & thered be a 45 - 60 min wait regardless that no additional customers had come in, in the 10 mins it took me to open the insurance claim that didnt actually need to be opened before seeking service. Use any other Safelite location but the one at 10306 Shawnee Mission Pkwy if you want actual courtesy & good customer service.
So far not issues with my new windshield glass replacement. I would have given them 5 stars if it wasn’t for the poor customer service I received from the receptionist. Also they order the wrong glass the first time, and had to re-schedule.

Was told that my windshield crack, if roughly the size of a dollar bill, would be done for $119. When I arrived the technician told me it was way too big, and they wanted $700 for a new windshield. I went home and took a one dollar bill and placed it over the crack (fresh rain held the bill in place) and no crack showed up outside of the crack!
Came out worse than what it was. Highly NOT recommended.

I have used this company and this location on numerous occasions. My most recent trip was to see if they could fix my windshield sensor that had come off of the bracket. I did not have an appointment. I was just stopping by to see if they could fix it and if they could, then make the appointment. The guy who helped me was great. He said he could fix it himself right away. I was in and out in less than 25 minutes. Safelite will always be my go to for auto glass repair/replace.
One of the worst experiences Ive had when it comes to customer service. Not only did they try to push me into allowing them to use a product that had a defect in it. They then told me if I didnt accept the defective windshield the earliest I could return would be 2 weeks. Staff was rude and argumentative. Ashley, at the front desk had an attitude from the 1st second of the entire thing. I literally contacted customer care to file a complaint, which says a lot. Im guessing the BBB would want to know about it as well.Edit: Cant judge the company because of a few people. Was later contacted by customer service, which did everything in their power to correct the issue. Safelite gets an A+ for service after the fact.
I received a call from the tech telling me he was on his way, and him and his partner put in my new windshield within an hour. He gave me great instructions on what to do and not to do for the next week after replacement.
They replaced my windshield, but the conversation I overheard while waiting for my ride caused major concern. The converaation was about how she wanted to cancel an appointment due to the fact that they would not make any money on it. Her coworker informed her it was already scheduled and her comment was to tell them there was a change in the schedule and they would have to do it at 7am one day to try to dissuade them from coming it. We will be going a different direction for any future windshield or glass repair.

Watch out for this location. My car had the windshield replaced and then had water intrusion immediately afterwards and I now have water sloshing around in my car. A $1200 repair. They will not fix it claiming they did not cause this problem. Will never use safelite again.Update: Called Warranty Department per their reply.... no help so far. I now have to wait for the operations manager to call me. They would not give me his email.Update 2: Three business days later, no call from any one at safelite. Had to open an insurance claim for the damages. Would not put much faith in their warranty.

Safelite came to my uncovered apartment parking lot to replace my windshield. The technician was very polite, helpful, and professional. The entire process took very little of my time, and my windshield looks better than new.
I have seen numerous commercials about Safelite, but this was my first time using them. My vehicle is about 6 years old and had a repaired crack in the windshield when I replaced it. So I thought I knew what to expect when I took it in for a repair of a crack from a vacation trip.The technician called me out to look at the windshield and he made a comment that what was supposed to have been a repaired crack was done very poorly so he not only fixed the new crack, but also redid the repair on the existing spot.After completion I can barely see anything on my windshield now. Both cracks are just gone. I am beyond impressed and will definitely use them exclusively from now on.GREAT JOB SAFELITE!!!!!

In reviewing the actual physical location - everyone did a wonderful job. Jason, the tech, was very quick and friendly! A+ experience in my book. I do have to say though, the national call center completely sucks. Their pricing scheme is all over the place. Ive been studying the pricing since Nov - they simply state its the price fluctuation within the glass industry...way too big of swings with that kind of supply & demand..add coupon codes to get charged more later...no thank you - but as dishonest as that practice is, theyre still the cheapest (I had a tight budget). The national call center customer service is the absolute worst, good luck getting a knowledgeable person and good luck trying to contact them. Anyways, again, A+ for the location.

If I could give them 0 star I would have. They said the technician will be at my place between 8am to 12pm. When I called around 12:05 and asked why the guy didnt show up, their answer was that the technician is too busy and behind and wont be able to make it. Im glad I called otherwise I would have stayed home all day waiting for the stupid guy who didnt have a decency to call and let me know.

Stefan the technician and Jack the manager may be surprised that they received this rating from me. We had problems from the getgo. I drive a 2015 Acura RLX, and a collision at 80 mph with a single small rock cracked my window. The new Acuras have lots of sensors in the window. The first time, it wasnt original equipment, and the second time, it didnt have the correct sensors. The important thing is that they took responsibility for the mistakes and made it right. That is what serving the customer is all about.

Today i had the front windshield replaced in my Chevy truck due to kids throwing rocks off Shawnee-mission Parkway at Roe and Shawnee Mission Parkway area (east bound lane)......Lucky me...none pierced the window....Their was no cars in front of me for 250 feet...The Glass Techs at Safelite took care of the broken windshield and i was very happy with the work too....Now If only the police could catch the kids....im sure more got hit then me that day.
