It’s about time they close the service department they couldn’t fix cars for the last couple of years any out without taking weeks or months should’ve went out of business altogether my understanding they moved the repair center
Fast, friendly service. Feels good to support a local business.
The service portion has closed permanently. Now it is just a gas station and convenient store.
Rude people. Still have a giant sign up that says that are a DOT approved emissions location but hung up on me when I called to ask about it. Take your sign down if you dont offer it!
The guys here are great, came in for an emissions test and spoke with one of the owners and they are some down to earth people. The emissions test went real quick as well. Ill definitely come here if I have car issues.
Boycott this place. Theyre still pulling that full service scam charging 50 cents MORE per gallon on certain pumps. Realized the higher charge while fueling and then saw the sign on the pump. Fine, buyer beware, but when I asked the guy inside why nobody came out to fully sevice my car he grunted oh, I didnt see you - he was sitting behind the counter IN FRONT OF A GIANT WINDOW! He added Im not refunding your money. Reading other reviews here, this is an ongoing REGULAR shady buisness practice of theirs. Avoid this place!
Get fuel here at the time as well as maintenance on my car. Martin runs a quality shop.
I either use Mobil or BP. I believe they have the best gas for price.
Made an appt for emissions testing. Went there on the date and time and went inside to let them know I was here. Lady says “we don’t do emissions testing anymore”. I asked why they took the appointment. No answer. Says that it says they don’t do emissions testing on their website. Not true it’s right there. Not sure what’s going on there but it sure isn’t customer service!
Their work is thorough and reliable and every time something is amiss with my car, I am confident they will do the best they can to get me back on the road safely and as quick as possible. It sounds corny but I truly appreciate everything they have done for me.
Little disappointed. I called yesterday to ask about emissions testing and said they were doing it. When I got there an employee stepped out of the garage and started shaking his head at me, rude. So, I rolled my window down and asked him what was wrong and he told me no emissions today. So I asked, okay when are you doing them again and he said rudely, Tomorrow, maybe. I called again later and the lady on the phone was a little snippy with me and said they had to shut them down. I wish I wouldve known that before I had taken my lunch hour to go there. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere.
So thankful and grateful my work was completed at a very reasonable price. Thank you Lynn and Chrissie for entertaining me while I waited. Everyone was polite and the store was clean. I recommend this business to service your car.
They don’t even do emissions testing anymore
YES to FREE AIR. NO to emissions tests.
POSSIBLE CONTAMINATED DIESEL FUEL. I always come here to fill up my jetta tdi because the guys are great and free air for my tires. However, my jetta recently took a dump because of fuel contamination that has made its way throughout the entire fuel system. This repair is now costing me thousands. I cant be for certain it came from this gas station but its the only gas station I use in Milwaukee and was the one I last used before this issue. Use caution when filling up diesel here as I doubt it has a lot of diesel traffic coming through.
Would not recommend. Not a fan of the whites only bathroom policy.
Took care of my smog check and plate renewal. Quick and easy. Thanks
Solid place. Went there for my emissions test and they squeezed me in at the very last minute and it only took about 5. They renew tabs/plates right there so its really convenient and its family run which I love. I havent gotten anything fixed at their shop but theres a lot wrong with my very old car so I have a feeling Ill be back for more of their services soon.
Doug, the cashier, was rude and off putting today. Unfortunately to the entire community as that gas station used to be a go to for my family and friends. Not going back.
I trust these guys with oil changes and any car repair. They are extremely trust-worthy and have never tried to up sell me on unnecessary repairs. Ive been going to them for almost 15 years and have been a satisfied customer every time. You will not be disappointed by Dennis and the rest of his team - they stand by their work.
Got an emissions test and they sent me home with a different car’s results. called to ask if they could email mine and they said no. they couldn’t even tell me over the phone if i actually passed. they told me i would have to go back in. what a waste of time!
Great place
Not much here. In-store selection minimal. Basically a gas station with a small repair shop. However I do believe its full service which is unusually nice.
They did a great job on repairing my car. They correctly diagnosed the problems and had the vehicle fixed within one day. They do good work. This is not a place where you would have to take your car back because the work wasnt done correctly. They also gave me an estimate that was within a few dollars of the actual cost.I like that.
Called to get a tow and car fixed. Guy was an A-hole and rude on the phone. Took my number, never called back (kind of knew that was going to happen from the tone in his voice). Went get gas on a different day, they cant break a $100 bill, so I try to use my card and the pump doesnt work. Ill be happy to get gas elsewhere and have someone else fix my car. Would give 0/5 stars if possible.
I took my car there for what I was told would be a quick fix. I wanted to make sure the quote they gave me was correct so I called my dad, telling the mechanic Dennis that I would call him to give him the go at fixing my car. I called back 20 min later and told their clerk to go ahead and fix it. She told me to come by that night to pick it up. When I arrived, Dennis never seemed to have gotten the message. This was my fault however as he told me multiple times. I will never go back there.
I have worked with these guys on my car for a year and have never had any problem with them. I trust them with my car. They are reliable and dependable.
Wonderful place. Service is excellent, even if they are busy. I especially like the dark haired male cashier, very dependable, very honest, and most of all polite.
Overall, a good place for gas and/or repairs. Decent prices and warranty for repairs. The free air for tires is an additional plus (they briefly charged money for it but thankfully changed back). My only complaint is the 2 full service gas pumps. Ive never seen anyone use them in all my years coming here (because its charges extra). I can understand wanting multiple ways to make additional money, but since virtually no one uses that service, it means those two gas pumps closest to the store end up being put to waste, which results in lines of cars forming for gas. I can count many times I came here to fill up on gas, and there being no spots, an additional one or two waiting to refill, and those full service stations sitting there empty, if they werent full service I wouldnt have to go to another gas station just to get that quick refill.
I take my car here for service. Oil change is the most recent. I also got 4 new tires, getting the ones Dennis recommended and I have been very very pleased with their performance. My service is acceptable and on time.
Went to fill up and the only pumps that were open were full service but didnt realize it. No one came outside to provide any sort of service and while filling up I noticed I was being charged $2.89 for regular instead of the posted $2.39. When I went inside to ask why I was being charged $0.50 more this incredibly rude clerk said I was at a full service pump and it cost more. When I asked why no one came out to pump it then he said that most people see its full service and drive off after seeing the signs. I told him I havent seen full service pumps in probably 10-15 years so why would I expect it to be full service? After asking to be refunded the extra price for them not doing anything extra he refused and said they were one of the only places in the Milwaukee area that offers full service and they have 3 pumps you should see signs for. So this joke of a place basically cheats you out of $0.50 per gallon claiming full service without doing anything extra. I can only imagine how many people pay extra at these pumps without even noticing..these people are crooks and have no integrity which is shocking considering it seems like a small town station in Shorewood. Will never go here again, they should be reported.
Would give 0 stars if it were possible!!!! Needed an oil change, new light bulb, and new windshield wiper transmission. Beforehand, I asked how much the oil change alone would cost and was told $40. They tried charging me over $500 total and tried replacing both light bulbs when I specifically asked for only one be replaced. A lightbulb for a headlight is only a few bucks NOT $25 each, an oil change is NOT $75 (especially after being told $40), and a wiper transmission is no more than $70. When I refused the service they charged me $50 for “diagnose wiper problem” when I already knew what was wrong with it! I do not recommend going here.
Beware of hidden service fees! We took our car in for a routine emissions test and it failed because of a faulty censor. We were quoted $200 - $250 to fix it, so left the car for repair. Then got a call from the mechanic that it would now cost $1200! We decided not to pay this amount and went to pick up the car. When we arrived they told us that we needed to pay a $90 assessment fee. When the car was dropped off no one mentioned this fee and nothing was written down or signed. The mechanic was argumentative and we needed to call the owner to get a resolution. They need to change their policy to make all charges clear before doing any work. Worst service Ive ever experienced.
I called for an oil change appointment on Friday. They told me there would be no appointment needed if I brought my car in before noon on Saturday and they would have it done within the hour. I took it in and asked them if they could also replace my cabin air filter, which I provide. I waited for an hour, and they still hadnt pulled my car in, so I left and asked them to call me when it was ready. 3.5 hours later I called them and they said they were just pulling it in. I walked there, 10 minutes from my house and they were done with it when I walked up. They charged me $104, $38 for the oil change, $59 to replace the air filter I provided, and $5 shop charge. It was 2 screws to remove the filter! Midas did an oil change for $25 bucks with a 21 point inspection, checked that filter and said they would replace it for the cost of the filter since they already checked it which is when I should have replaced it. Midas even rotated my tires! Beyond upset with this place.
This is where I usually get my gas and never have any issues. Additionally today I needed an Emissions Test and Alex was both friendly and quick- I was on my way in 5 minutes.
They helped me out in a tight spot. Fair pricing. Knowledgeable and always friendly.
I have had my car worked on here several times, from a timing belt replacement to oil changes to recently a tune-up. Theyve always done a great job until the tune-up, where they did not test my fuel injectors. One ended up being faulty, and as a result I was stopped not far from here by a passerby who warned me I was leaking gas at an alarming rate. I made it back with just enough gas to park and handed the keys back. I got a call the next day and they admitted fault and covered all replacement costs under the repair warranty. I appreciate their honesty and, aside from this instance, general thoroughness. Staff are very friendly and give it to you straight, honored their quotes except once when it took too long to replace some components in the exhaust that had frozen over. If youre looking for a no-nonsense mechanic, I would recommend giving this place a try.
I didnt go inside, but the outside was clean and well kept.
Went to get an estimate on my muffler. I asked the mechanic if there would be a charge for them to take a quick look at it, he told me no. Went to go pick up my car and they tell me it will be $27 because they gave me an estimate. When confronting the woman about it she told me she told me cars are expensive. Very displeased I was lied to about the charges. They also wrote the wrong model on my key tag, so not sure Id trust them anyways if they cant tell a Corolla from a Camry.
If you are looking for quick honest and professional repairs to be done to your car, you need look no further than LakeShore Mobile and more specifically Dennis. I have taken both my 8 year old van and my husbands Mercedes here for repairs and have always been pleased by the work. Finding a mechanic you can trust is not easy, but I am so grateful to have found Dennis. I appreciate that Dennis takes the time to explain the problem to me ( and doesnt just assume that because I am a woman that I am incapable of understanding). There are many times I have taken my car in thinking I had a major problem only to find that it was something quite minor. Dennis could have told me anything and I would have no choice but to believe him. But far more often the problem is minor than anything major. Dennis looks for ways to save me money. I appreciate that and thats why I will not trust my cars and their maintenance to anyone but him.
Good friendly service shop. Usually easy to get in without an appointment.
Wow, I trusted them with my vehicle and they damaged it during a tow. Fine, mistakes happen but it how you handle it after that matters. So they promised to fix it for 3 months, I kept hearing waiting for parts. Finally got a time scheduled then they refused to fix it all! Very clearly done at once. Have evidence because I bought the car the day before the tow. Very rude and lied over and over. Refused to give me business owners name. Do business with them at your own risk!
Just went to fill up on gas, didn’t realize the pump I was at was a full serve pump. It was the only pump open and I really needed gas, so I got out and filled up. When I got out and put my card in, a man came up to me and started yelling at me. He was extremely rude and told me I couldn’t pump my own gas at that pump. It was not marked very well that that single pump was the only full serve pump at the station. He could’ve easily stopped me and explained NICELY that this was a full serve pump, rather than just yelling at me right off the bat. Don’t take your service here. Rude.
Got gas here. Was fine. Not a bad place.
The male cashier went out of his way to provide me with gasoline when my vehicle ran out several blocks away, even though he was about to close. He saved my night and I felt obligated to share his good deed
This shop was very professional and Dennis who works over there is very nice and went above and beyond what he had to, to make sure my car was fixed.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would rate 0 stars if it were an option. Prepare to be taken to the cleaners at this place. Without notifying you prior to running diagnostics, they will charge you $99.00. This is a free service that can be done at Autozone or Oreileys. My boyfriend and I had been loyal customers to this place since we moved to Shorewood two years ago ($2,600 spent here) and normally would have recommended to all of our friends and neighbors, but now I definitely will not. When given an outrageous price quote, Eric the mechanic could not give a justifiable answer as to why I would be charged $298.00 for a job that takes 20 minutes and a part that costs maybe $20-30. His only response was that he didnt know and just follows the book. What? What book are you talking about? How vague is that? My advise to anyone looking to continue service or try for a first time, look elsewhere. They assume that they can charge whatever they want with the expectation that their customers are unintelligent enough to question it. My dad is a mechanic and if he lived closer he would be working on my car. My dad was outraged when I told him about this experience and the price to get the job done. The better business bureau needs to know about this place and I intend to inform them. Its highway robbery.
I sure would rate this place a 5 star, becouse of their prompt service, and knowledge of what they are doing, I wont take my car anyplace else.
Most of the pumps were full and I pulled next to a pump that said full service. The gas was posted at regular price, so I pumped my gas and cleaned my windshield. After I pumped my gas, I noticed that they charged me an extra dollar per gallon. Then, I approached the attendant and told her about the situation. She said I would have pumped your gas for you. I said you didnt and didnt even try to. I told her it was not posted that it was an extra dollar per gallon and she said the sign must have fallen off. She was very rude, unapologetic, and refused to give me the extra dollar per gallon back.
Decent prices on repair. Nice staff.
Never gotten gas from yall but one time i really wanted ice cream and this was the closest place but it closed in 7 minutes so my fat ass got up and ran and got there at 10:59 and the dude had already closed up and all but he felt bad for us so he let us get our ice cream so ya great service from the white dude with brownish blonde hair, keep doing you man. you made my night
Ive always been happy with the service here, and have stopped taking our cars any place else
Rude and unprofessional. “Full service” is a joke/scam
Ok...No windshield washer receptacles. Did however offer customers Free Air.
Friendly service shop, nice people. Just overall chill place
Quick, painless emissions inspection with honest mechanics.
Friendly people and great service!
Great full service like the Ole days
Accidentally filled up at the Full Service pump and ended up paying an extra $1.10 per gallon. Lady wouldnt refund the difference even though nobody ever came out to provide full service.
Multiple complaints against them with the Village and DNR for not maintaining their property. This business should be closed.
Marty Gene and Mike are great guys!
Ok. And they have an emission station and the wait is not too long.
Called for a jump at about 10 am on a sunday. It is now 1 in the afternoon, and after having called several times and being told someone was on the way we are still waiting. Was told on the fourth call that they also tow for the city, and that the city tows have priority over an private business. Receptionist was apologetic, but unhelpful. Will never ever be taking my business here again.
Its always clean
Free air for tires. Quality fuel
Really nice employees
Free air, repair bays, full service pumps
Charged me $15.00 to just look at my tire!! What a joke
Change oil service, before asking the price is 50-80 💲, and finally received my 120 +. Probably not arbitrary charges, but I think they do not understand car very much.
Small drive hard to maneuver with a big truck
Poor service. Left with more problems than when i arrived.
Stopped for gas
The emissions test takes more time than usual in this place
$90 to run diagnostics test. Mechanic will fix more than necessary and overcharge you.
They stand by their work
The pump I used was wonky (pumped VERY slow).
In my opinion they overcharged me for checking a faulty engine.
$10 service fee for emissions testing. Which there was no mention of until it was charged.
When I swiped my card at the pump to pay for my gas the attendant told me to pay inside. The next person filled up their tank on my card. I paid for their gas and my gas and the gas station wont give me a refund for the $50 that was spent on my card by someone else.
Hey they have free air!
No wait emissions testing.10/8/18
They have free air available
Personal touch
Ok
Air is not free. It costs 75 cents.
Nice place.
