It was a pleasure to be in a beauty supply store and not be followed, or endure extremely high prices. I was allowed to look at the hair without being checked to see if I was going to steal it. The reason why I stopped going to beauty supply stores and started ordering hair online. It was overall a pleasant experience going to this beauty supply store.It’s BLACK OWNER!!!!!My first time and I definitely will be back.

Black owned beauty supply. I love going here. The customer service is outstanding. I grabbed different colors because I missed a section of hair available and thought it was all they had. The guy at the register doubled checked to make sure that was my intention. When I explained it was all I saw available he walked me to another section and I was able to get what I really needed. I have never had this happen in a supply store. They usually just ring you up and take your cash. Extremely satisfied with the service. They have the largest selection of hair for protective styles and natural hair care products. I usually focus on supporting Black owned and just get what they have but at this store I can actually support and get what I need for the desired look. Definitely recommend shopping here.

This is the place to go for hair care products. Specifically, products made by Black Owned Businesses.They have the largest selection of Black Owned Products, that I have seen and the prices are more then competitive. Well worth the 45 minute drive.The shelves are always stocked and once again those shelves carry a plethora of products made by Black Owned Businesses.I like the Uncle Jimmy and Nappy Styles product lines but you can find anything you need.The owner listens to and appreciates his customers. Its also a great place for oil. I get a lot of my smell good from ABD.The staffs always extra friendly and very knowledgeable. ABD also has a nice hair clipper selection.

Atlanta Beauty Depot is a very dependable and a nice place too go in and buy the beauty products that you need ..... I was on vacation back in May Im always ordering stuff I need and Mr. Corey always send it to me very quickly I told him when ever I come to Atlanta Im coming to visit your store because when I call 📞 the employees always make me feel good thats why I do business with Atlanta beauty depot And I will continue doing business with them!!

Went into Atlanta Beauty Supply for the first time I do not live in the area and they have everything fully stock with all your hair needs. Very nice selection of wigs not a large supply but new styles you may have not seen. I recommend you taking a look you will be glad you did and its family owned:)

I have been supporting this establishment for years. Though Ive been social distancing and I rarely leave my home due to being immune compromised, I intentionally visit this store because I believe its vital to support black-owned small businesses. During my last couple of visits, they were out of the product I needed. The gentleman asked me to come back the next day because they were receiving a truck and he assured me that they would have the product. I went back (again, I DO NOT leave my home) because I wanted to support them. Again, they didnt have the product. No problem. I went back and they finally had it. The gentleman helped me collect the 5 bags of synthetic hair, but unfortunately, one bag was the incorrect color. I didnt discover this until after arriving home. However, I said to myself, Ill just exchange it the next time I go back to make a purchase. Im not putting myself at risk again. Today, I went back to the store to purchase additional bags of hair and exchange the one bag l was given. The young lady told me that I could not exchange it because their policy states there are no exchanges or returns after 30 days. I reiterated that I only shop at their hair store and I only want to exchange it. I like to change my hair and I sirens TONS of money there when purchasing for myself and my niece. The sales lady told me no, and preceded to peach to me about how they havea policy for a reason etc. Additionally, her attitude was not sympathetic at all. As a result, of her actions and the stores policy, I will no longer spend my money with them, nor will I recommend them to any more of my friends and colleagues. Until I find another black-owned hair store to support, Ill be taking my business to Amazon, a decision Im disappointed to have to make.

I was really excited to come here after having experiences with discrimination at Asian owned beauty supply stores in my area in Kennesaw. Definitely worth it the detour from my neck of the woods. Its Black owned, centrally located not far off of the exit and they have a wide variety of products and supplies. Most importantly the woman who I assume is the owner was actually knowledgeable of products and Black hair care which was helpful and she was kind and inviting which was refreshing. Theyll get all my hair-care business.

I just came from there (February, 28, 2020), and they were all so nice. When I walked through the door, I was greeted by the store owners/employees. They offer 2 types of earring clasps and I love that! I find one type of clasp to be inconvenient for me, but thankfully they had the other style in a different encasement! This is the first black owned beauty supply store that I’ve ever been inside of. It’s so much easier purchasing things from people who can relate to you. They know exactly what you need and they don’t just try to sell you things just to get your money like some other non-black owned beauty supply stores. They have the best staff at this location. As soon as I walked in I was greeted ... yes greeted POLITELY by every one working that day and not followed around the store. Not once. Nor did anyone watch me closely to see if I was going to steal anything. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I tried. I really did. Drove out of my way to support a black owned business. I was in the market for a wig. My first actually, so I was lost as hell. There was at least 2-3 workers in the back where the wigs were, doing absolutely nothing. No one offered any type of assistance. It was as if I was invisible. After strolling up and down the isles looking at wigs 3 or 4 times I left. The owner did speak, nice guy. But I ended up going to Joys in the same plaza and was immediately assisted and educated on the specifics of wearing a wig. I ended up buying a few things from Joys. I would’ve gladly spent that same money at the beauty depot. We want the support, but we don’t know how to treat each other.

They have pretty much everything hair related in the shop. However, I have noticed that they run low on popular wigs and it takes weeks for them to restock. In addition the same wigs in the store can be found online for much cheaper rates.

I want to inform all people that if you enter this store it is very likely that you will be watched and followed by the staff ! My family of 4 walked into this store and were followed and watched throughout our shopping experience. The staff made my family and I feel extremely uncomfortable. They made us feel as if we were criminals, solely off of our appearance . It is extremely sad and degrading that as African Americans we could not shop freely I do not recommend that anyone who does not enjoy being discriminated against shops here.

I honestly read the reviews and felt comfortable enough to give this Beauty Supply store a chance. I was doing a quick weave and I didnt want to spend a lot. The very nice salesperson showed me the Virgin hair under the counter. It felt so GOOD, so good I sewed it in. I keep it in for two months, although I couldve kept it in longer but I decided to take it out. I give this hair two thumps up for no tangling, very little shedding, and the best beauty supply hair I ever used! It was better than most of that stuff on line and Ive tried them all.

It was a beautiful experience. They have so many products to choose from, you would be hard pressed to go in and not spend a dollar. You know, they do have way too many cameras though. It’s a beauty supply store, not a prison. And to be receiving every item in the store at wholesale price, I think you can relax a bit. It’s never that serious.
