Would not even rate this man one star!!!What I would rate this man is a monster!Worst experience of my life!Never have a met someone so rude and nasty!

I usually do not take the time to write reviews but felt compelled to do so given the poor service and lack of professionalism from this facility. I am actually surprised this office has maintained its business throughout the years but can only assume it’s based mainly on the highly populated area in which it is located.I will spare you all the details of the poor service I received from the technician and Dr. Angrist and just say in short, that I was treated terribly as a “new” patient when there was a direct error with my prescription order on their end. Please save your time and your money and go somewhere else deserving of your business and that will provide the level of care you should feel as a patient .

Always such a great experience coming to Dr. Angrist for my eye appointments, such caring staff as well, I highly recommend this place for anyone!

I went to the Pt Pleasant office. Very small parking area. Very crowded waiting room. Remarkably I was seen on time but felt shuttled between this room for this exam and that room for that exam. Probably spent 5 minutes with Dr Angrist who appeared harried and overwhelmed but didn’t appear to be concerned about me and my eye care needs.

So I was kind of nervous to go here with the mixed reviews. Dr. Angrist was good he did my exam Within 20 mins of me being in office. The only thing I did not like about this office is they DO NOT have glasses to choose from. I was wrote a script I go to order glasses online because I have no idea where to now order glasses. I call office for my pd and I’m told I am not allowed to know my pd which now leaves me lost on where and how I can purchase glasses. Because I am not even sure what a pd is! I have never been to an office where they do not have glasses in office. It’s just weird but besides that he’s not a bad doctor he’s very caring and polite. As far as exams go I recommend!

My mom sees Dr Angrist and has cataract surgery done by Dr Cohen who’s in the same practice & it’s been an excellent experience. Otherwise he wouldn’t be featured on Top Doctors consistently for decades! Yes, I agree it’s always crowded and the doctor is not sitting and chatting with you - but isn’t that what defines a successful practice? That there’s more patients lined up to see him because he’s good at what he does. He interacts with patients as needed - I’m not there to spend idle time anyway, so I like a doctor to be thorough, professional and quick. The staff is efficient and keeps the line moving. I’d go back there any day!

Great staff the doctor was excellent explaining the procedure to me and didn’t have to wait long to be seem highly recommend this doctor very professional and down to Earth .

DO NOT go to this man. He is a terrible doctor. I wish he his medical license could be revoked. About 20 year ago my mom went to him. She has glaucoma and had cataracts. He performed cataract surgery and both of her eyes became infected. He got nervous and sent her to a specialist who she still goes to today. The reason Im so angry about him is he caused my mom to lose vision in one eye. Her current doctor saved one eye but wasnt able to save the other. He said at the time when he did her correction surgery if he had known what he was going to see in the surgery he wouldve filmed it for students to see how terribly things could go. My mom is too kind of a human being to sue this man though she should have. Please do not go to Dr. Angrist.

When I saw the negative post about Dr. Angrist I had to respond. Dr. Angrist is a brilliant doctor, he cares about his patients and goes above and beyond. To the lady who says he eats while seeing his patients, its because he doesnt take a lunch break so he can see patients, I dont care if he eats because he is a great eye doctor. People saying he is rude, not so! He cares about his patients and wants to make sure you follow his instructions so you get better. Dr. Angrist is a great doctor and top notch in his field. I truly trust Dr. Angrist and would go no place else and either would the people in his crowded waiting room.

Very friendly staff, dr. Angrist was very professional and friendly. Not a lot of bells and whistles in the office but gets the job done. He truly does care about his patients and their well-being.

Saw him a year ago for my iritis, and he was good, can be a little direct sometimes, but I gotta say he saved my butt twice now! Last year he cured me and now a year later I noticed my iritis was coming back on a Sunday, I called the office and left a voicemail, ten minutes later he called me back, on a Sunday! And ten minutes after that he was calling in a prescription for me. Great doctor! Thanks doc!

I brought my son to see Dr. Angrist and even though he NEEDS to continue his visits, he refuses to go back to Dr. Angrist. He examined my son while eating a bag of Cheetos, he was extremely rude and even made me (the mom) cry during the exam. He has no filter and speaks very rudely. He actually walked out of the exam room, yelled out for the front desk to make another appointment and continued eating his Cheetos the entire time. He is so unprofessional and didn’t even give me time to ask questions just walked over to the next patient. My son refuses to go back and now I’m on a search for a doctor that has time for his patients and schedules eating outside of the exam room.

He doesnt clean and he so rude .Dont recommend this doctor to any one.

If I could give a zero rating, I would. I do not know what is the problem with this individual titled Dr. Angrist. I feel ashamed to even call him a doctor because from my experience and the doctors I dealt with, they are mostly kind and not so plain rude. Unlike his staff, he is extremely rude and impatient. I felt a sense of validation in a way when I saw the comments of other patients who have the same view as mine and its not that I was sensitive. I saw few nice reviews about him and that makes me believe either he might be the type of doctor who put money above humanity or some of those reviews are fake. Shame on you, Angrist! Be nice and what a good doctor should be !!!!

First time here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Just a 10 Minute wait to fill out paperwork. Right on time with the scheduled appointment. Dr. A. seems to be knowledgeable and explaint everything.

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Angrist and I was extremely DISSATISFIED with his service. He was extremely rude to his staff and to me. I felt very uncomfortable with the way he bossed around his employees and the aggressive tone he took with them and with me as well. During my exam he seemed to be in a rush. While I was in the middle of my contact fitting with the other optometrist, I was sitting in the chair with my head tilted back (with one contact lens in one eye ) and Dr. Angrist walks into the room and says Ill finish up the exam, he rips the file from the other optometrists hand and taps my knee escorting me out of the room. Upon entering his office, he continued being rude and abrupt with me. I left my appointment feeling so upset and extremely uncomfortable- I could not believe how unprofessional he was. Aside from Dr. Angrist, everyone else at the practice was very nice and helpful. He should take note from his staff and learn from their positive interpersonal skills.

Excellent experience. I went for a complete eye exam from head to toe so to speak. From the walk in the door to the end of the visit was overall an excellent experience. Extremely friendly ladies welcomed me as I walked in. They gave me the initial patient package and explained how my visit would go. My first stop was within 3 minutes of sitting down and I had my field of vision exam with Sabrina, she was very sweet and informative. Explained again the entire visit and how it would go. Very engaged during the 25 minute test and at no point did I feel left alone or disengaged from the staff. Then I went to the next step, the actual eye exam with claudia and again it was an amazing experience. She too explained the rest of the visit and how it would go. I still at this point havent had enough waiting time to fill out the 3 page packet. My last and final stop was with Dr.angrist himself. During my exam with him he explained all the tests and results amd then we discussed something very important to me but in no way related to this appointment. That alone made the visit a warm and confortable one. For him to take genuine interest in me, a one time patient, said something about Dr.angrist as a caring individual amd sincere in his interaction with me. I dont know if Ill ever see him as a doctor again but if I need an eye doctor,he will be my first choice. I recommend if anyone needs any one of the services he offers to make a point to use him. And everything went so quick that i finally finished my welcone packet when I was sitting with the doctor. Start to finish for a complete top to bottom eye exam.....40 minutes...amazing! Thank you doc and all your amazing staff.

I am not one to critique healthcare professionals, but Dr. Angrist is probably the rudest and most unprofessional Doctors i have met. He most likely operates with this impunity because he is close to retirement, and (or) patients must be at his mercy because he is one of the few to accept NJ family health. In any event be prepared to treat him the way he treats you.

Dr. Angrist,I really do love how you treat your patients as a business; Over booked waiting room, just rushed everyone in and out. You had no time to even introduce yourself; you just forcefully open my eyelids without even telling me what you were about to do, not once but twice! I came for an eye exam, I felt like a dime a dozen in a poorly ran waiting room. Thanks for making me feel so uncomfortable!GO TO YOUR LOCAL WALMART OPSTISTISHON.
