Thank for responding- your websites description on emissions testing is misleading. I will update after personal verification.I always took my vehicles here for emissions testing. Unfortunately they have reduced the hours for this service. So unless you are retired or working the late shift they are not available to use.*Update: My unfavorable review was a total mess up and misunderstanding on my part!They are a really friendly place and I have since been there for service. And will go again!

I went in for an emissions test, My truck failed the test. Even though I have never had service work from them before they took the time to look up the failure codes, and the electrical diagrams for my truck to help me figure out what to fix. Even though it took me 3 months of trying things and going back for another test they kept up with ideas for me to try. Even though I am a Do It Yourself type person there are certain jobs that I just do not like doing (like oil and fluid changes) and some that require equipment I dont have, I will definitely be be going back there for future service work. 4 new tires and an alignment are in my near future before the snow flies.

Emissions testing is currently down with no idea when they’ll be up and running again AND no mention of this on their website. Wasted trip. Too bad because I’ve been there before and been pleased with the service even with the bit of attitude from the guy doing the testing. As with ALL other local available emissions test sites they’re only open during “bankers hours”, you know, when most of us also have to work. At least when the state ran it there were extended hours knowing that most of us WORK too.

I would say the most friendly team I have ever seen. They are friendly and respectful to the customers. I went there two times for emission tests. I also went there for an oil change service.

Chris took care of the leaking air pressure valves on my 2010 Toyota Sienna. Also a complete tune-up later. Then a tune-up on my 2014 Camry. I couldn’t be happier with all of their service and knowledge. I highly recommend YOU trust them with ALL your automotive needs !

Take my 2004 Buick rainier cxl plus 5.3lt v8 awd here any time there is a problem. They may not be the cheapest around but they get the job done same day and never fail. My truck is fixed I time and always no problems. Everything is perfect every time. Calling and scheduling an appointment to get some more work done. Recommended everyone. Get your car fixed right the first time every time same day

They seem honest, they offer rides when you drop your car off back to your home, and their prices are low.

I needed an emissions test done and it LITERALLY only took 3 minutes! So fast and the details were sent right away to the State! Great service!

Absolutely love this place! They are very honest and explain things step by step. I had to have my car towed after breaking down on the highway, luckily I had an appointment for the following day, so I had it towed there. They worked on it immediately and it was done that day (a day before my actual appointment)! I go here for all my car needs, from oil changes, to emissions & registration, to wheel bearings, etc. Highly recommend!

Fantastic! Towed our vehicle, replaced tires and reattached a dragging exhaust pipe (it was a hot mess) had it back next morning in much better shape for an exceptionally reasonable cost!

I live in South Milwaukee, but this was the first time I used SMCCC. I wanted to just get some preventive maintenance done on a 2009 Kia Spectra with 224K miles on it, just something my daughter could get around with for grad school. Anyway, it turned out to be much more than that. However, they only recommended and were honest with what should be done for the safety of the car and get the rest done at a later time if wanted. Very professional, caring, and cost conscious. The work was done in a professional and timely matter. I really appreciated their honesty and safety mindset.

Not sure if all of their techs do not know how to fix cars or if just some in particular dont know how to fix cars. we had been going here for years as a family and it was not until my brother moved away and he had to use a different mechanic that we realized how awful the services at this shop. Overpriced mechanics that change parts rather than diagnose problems. Im happy my brother moved away so we can find out the difference and how poor of a mechanic shop this truly is.

My best friend’s family has taken all of their vehicles to SMCCC and my family has taken most of ours there. I trust these mechanics first. The honesty and genuine work is hard to find. The rates are comparable to places around, but the service is top notch.

The guys at South Milwaukee Car Care are always honest, incredibly fair and will always be straight forward with you. I live on the West end of Franklin and have all my vehicles serviced there, its well worth the drive. Kudos Tom, Larry and the crew.

They wont even attempt to do a head gasket repair. Im no mechanic, Ive learned from my father in driveways and small garages and I could do this job myself. But I have no time because I raise 3 children that are not my own. I have to work to much. So I call them and they tell me they would recommend me to an engine shop. But he then hung up and didnt recommend anyone. I guess keep to the basics for these guys. Dont go in with anything to hard. Then you will probably have good service.

I rented a Budget moving truck and got wonderful service. The truck was ready to go, they went over the contract, and showed me around the vehicle. Im glad I reserved it from them.

Im very picky about my vette but the staff and mechanics put me at ease. That was awhile ago and my mother, sister and brother all take their vehicles there. They are the real deal. Not the backyard mechanics that you find at all those other places along Packard Ave in Cudahy.

I had a tow and tires studs replace and when my car was in there car my back tire was flaten so I told the guy and ask what happened he said it wasnt him he doesnt know what happened. Then I was told to come back after a hundred miles and they would check and tighten up the bolts on the new studs that I paid 208.00 cash for. I have rims on my car and it requires a key lock to take the cover off so I ask the mechanic if he needs my key for the rim cover he said no so later the next day at the gasstgas st I look at my rim cover and the bolt is pertruding out and he had put a metal washer around the bolt that he had stripped I went back up and told them he did it they called me a Lier. So I jus bought a new low profile tires cash for the tire there not responsible for and I experience a strong feeling of Prejudice! So people of Color dont let these small town people treat you any kind of Way dont Support new Age Racist!!! All Lies you all know the Truth what your technicians did to my vehicle in your care bottom line! You use alot of words to say nothing ✊🏿

Poor customer service, id give them a zero if i could. I needed an emission test on my car, guy at the counter said it would be a wait of 10 minutes. I said that was fine so i sat down. The guy was eating and didnt call me up until he was done. Then he asks me for the paperwork. I realized i didnt have it because i cleaned out my purse the night before and he said he needed it because they take a picture of it. I asked if he could look it up by the VIN number and he said no. He was very rude and not helpful with me, but he was nice to other folks that walked in. Not sure if it was because of the color of my skin. I went to Oak Creek and tried a different business that does emissions testing and they told me no that was fine, they could look up my car WITHOUT the notice AND i could purchase the renewal sticker there too. Sweet young boys. Never go to these no good jerks unless you want to wait for parking, and have someone who doesnt care about you or apologize for making you wait.
