Definitely like shopping here more than other thrifts. Always very clean and never anything for sale thats too dingy or worn.

The store has a lot of merchandise. I would suggest taking your time to look through the store. Pricing was okay, they do have a daily color tag they discount.

Great place to find all sorts of used clothing and various other used items. A large section of used books. Always something interesting there.

It was hard trying to find clothes in my size. But I have accumulated alot of things from shopping there through the years. I am very happy with the store. It helps people like me on a budget fill a house with a nice price. Every thing is good.

I appreciate that Value World puts a lot of the really high quality clothing in the front. The clothes are organized by type and color. There is even a 3/4 pants area for women. The people who work there have always been nice to me. Men’s pants have the waist bands facing out so it’s easier to read. In the summer check the coupons that come in the mail for coupons. It only gets 4 stars because there’s no dressing room and some clothes you have to try on to know if they fit.

Not happy with my visit.. The cashier was not helpful at all. They were not busy and she rushed through everything. She was rude! We will NOT be going back. This was the Southgate store.

Havent been here in years. I live in the middle of nowhere. Decent prices for everything. Some on the higher side, but still at least 70% off new apparel. Just wanted some exercise clothes. Got a weeks worth of outfits for $47. Cant beat it! The staff was super friendly and upbeat, which is especially welcomed in these corona times. Will go again. Saved this in my fav. Keep up the great attitude Value World. 😊

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ive been shopping at different Value Worlds in Michigan since I moved here years ago. This Value World is awful. The staff is incredibly rude and the selection is over priced, especially for a company who treats its store like a junk yard. The dirtiness and mess I can handle, its second hand stuff so whatever. What I cannot look past is the older woman working at night OVER CHARGING MORE THAN WAS WRITTEN ON THE TAG. I was there around closing time on 9/8/20. I was the second to last person checking out before closing time. I was over charged at least $15 on my order. I thought it seemed weird so I took everything out of my bag and lined up the tags and told her after she checked out the person behind me. (I didnt want to make them wait) She called over another older woman working the floor to look at everything with her. The tags were clearly labeled certain prices, they tried telling me they were more and that they would not refund me WHILE LAUGHING AT ME. I lost my job due to Covid-19 and just needed court clothes to testify against someone who hit me with their car while I was a pedestrian 7 months ago. Way to rob someone who needs the money when youre currently working your own job. Horrible service. Horrible people. Hope that extra money they stole from me for their own pockets was worth it. Karma will come around.

Very nice thrift store; some items are a bit overpriced but overall its really nice. The workers are very kind.The store is very well organized as well. Its easy to find specific types of items (clothing, toys, etc). I wish they had a dressing room to try on items, or more mirrors around the store.

Place is very small The sun from the windows are blinding cant see when u go threw the clothes everywhere esle they have a return 3 days with to ag on in case clothes dont fit not this place sales are finale but they dont have fitting rooms there so u better know your size a hope u fit

Pretty good thrift store! Prices seem to be going up a bit lately, but still lower than the other chain thrift stores in our area. Mostly clothing, shoes, hats, etc... but a LOT of it, from socks to formal dresses. Its usually a good place to find something obscure yet really cool, with an extra lucky find every so often. Staff is always nice too :)

Awesome place if your looking for a cheap gently used Halloween costume which my daughter and I were. We found exactly what we needed and it was nice that they have a section dedicated to just costumes.

Value World has lots of clothing for very reasonable prices. If you use the 50% off coupon from the mailbox advertisement it is awesome. There is also an app for coupons. You still need to check out the clothes and make sure there are no holes or stains. I dont know of any other place you can get clothes for less!

Favorite thrift store downriver! Have to dig around for the good stuff but thats what makes it fun... found a great winter coat for $10 and nice gloves for $2.20 cant beat those prices better then salvation army any day.

Ive been coming here since I was a kid. I love that its still here. The most organized Value World ( I still wanna call it Value Village) in the area. The clothes are lined up ROYGBIV (retail workers know lol) and they are organized very well. They are constantly organizing the racks back together to make it easier to shop. I find the most amazing stuff here, my work wardrobe is banging thanks to my VW, so much stuff barely used and even with tags still on. They obviously only put out quality thrift. When the half off coupons come out, on the weekends its almost a party atmosphere, with loud cheerful music and friendly staffers that remember you and call you dear

I wouldnt recommend buying any shoes from this location. I have purchased three pairs in the last few months, two were winter normal shoes. One was a pair of sandals. All three started crumbling and falling apart within a couple of weeks. I think they are storing shoes and other items in warehouses that might not be at the appropriate temperature, like too hot or too cold, and that is damaging items. Also, they like to use a red wax pen when marking items for sale. That red wax pen does not come off, so you cant give something to someone else without them knowing exactly how much you paid for it. I tried absolutely everything to try to get the wax pen mark off, and ended up of course damaging the finish of whatever it was marked on. So of course that does limit the options. I think I would agree with others, I go in there to find something for myself or my family, but I dont often find anything I want. It does sort of seem like someone is picking over things first.

This is the only location I shop at, the Taylor location is always way more cluttered. This location always has awesome selections. The only thing missing is a fitting room for the massive amounts of pants and shirts.

Like any resale shop you have to shop here when you have time to search through the racks. I have found the clothes I want clean and with a good variety. I have even found brand new clothing, tags still on! Love this store.

Its been a lot cleaner in the store, but the staff is rude to me every single time I go in there... And I love to thrift shop, but I hardly ever want to walk in that store anymore.

Huge variety, great parking, awesome employees but the store is ALWAYS DIRTY and things are overpriced.

Make sure that your employees put sizes correctly or dont put sizes so people can know what they are buying..i bought 3 pair of pants for my husband all marked 36 but when he was putting them on they didnt fit come to find that not 1 but all 3 were size 34 so just make sure you know what you are buying and dont get stuck with something that you have no use for. This was my experience at the southgate location. Aside for that the store has a very large selection of whatever you are looking for.

This place stinks. After you touch their items it feels like you have a sticky stanky film all over your hands. I am a thrift store shopper and I have to say this is one of the worse stores Ive been too! The clothes are stained, smell and look like they have bed bugs running rampant all over them and the store! I wanted my step daughter to try on a homecoming dress and I stopped her because as we looked, the dress had PIT STAINS, and other unknown stains all over the dress!!! Nope. Never again.

Found couple nice winter jackets at reasonable price. Refreshing to see seasonable jackets at peak of winter.

I had a family member work there before, and they told me the workers sift and get ALL the good items. So, everything else is just stuff the workers let trickle through. Theyre getting first dibs(free), and selling on eBay. All the girls in there are grabbing all the xl & xxl for theyre boyfriends. Because, 98% of the mens clothes are small and medium and shrunk to death from previous washings. Once in a great while, some good stuff comes down the pipe, and you gotta get while the getting is good.

The place is nice had lot of stuffs . But the staff, especially one lady was extremely rude to all the custumers. The place was already messy from before but when we walked passed by that rude associate ordered me and my family to remove place the stuffs where it belonged! We never touched those things and the way she behaved with us was extremely unprofessional. I understand if she had a rough day but that kind of behavior is never acceptable especially if its her job to arrange things and secondly we never actually even touched those stuffs . I was very disapointed with this value world and that particular ladys attitude. They should train their team members on how to deal with customers more professionally. Her behavior was more like a 5 year old in a tantrum who didnt get what she wanted . Im sorry but my experience wouldnt change .

The toys section is literally a death trap, there’s no way it’s safe. You can also 100% tell the employees smoke in the building. Every time I go (I’m usually there for a while), the smell wafts from the back. Please clean your store. You give thrift stores a bad name.

Large selction ...No Dressing room to try anything on ...clothing not divided up and marked since i am a large man had to dig to find the large men clothing ..when i asked empolyee She points to a rack of shirts and said look there good luck..After a couple hours in the store found 2 shirts a hat and pants for around 12 bucks. Great deal for me would return but know what to exspect now
