The cell phone counter was very helpful. We bought a phone and he set it for use. He also was very helpful on another cell phone that he couldnt help use with but he took the time to give us all the info we needed to take care of the problem. I would definitely recommend going back and doing more business with him. I couldnt tell you about the rest of the staff. But this guy was on point to help us out in every way possible even tho he didnt benefit from our interaction.

Please employees, dont smoke near the pharmacy entrance door to the store. People breaths that in when they dont smoke.Today on Sunday morning I stopped into Walmart of Southgate, MI. a women asked if I wanted a mask and because they are not making it mandatory for customers I declined.And yes Im vaccinated. She yelled, Well I guess not! I feel that its harassment on Walmarts part to act like that with anyone. I did tell the front Manager and she said she would talk with her. But just the same I will go somewhere else where Im welcomed always happy to wear a mask if the business requires it for all. Thank you for reading my review. Love this Walmart!!!!! They carry items not found out in Westland, Livonia or Taylor stores and their shelves have stock AND they have the old way of paying with individual cashier lines...NOT the new way other stores have where you have to ring your own items!! DONT CHANGE ANYTHING...I will gladly drive extra miles to shop here...spent $250 today.

For one of the biggest Superstores in America, it surely doesn’t have a lot of things worked out. The store is always messy, like no one wants to reorganize the stock that is in random places all over the store. The website will say an item is in stock and when you get to the store to purchase it, you figure out that it’s not actually in stock. This has happened multiple times to me. Also multiple times the customer service desk won’t even answer the phone. I prefer not to shop here but sometimes you have to bite the bullet when you need something and it’s the only store open late.

This is my favorite go to Walmart. They have a great selection of food, clothing, and cleaning supplies. They also have a modest arts and crafts area, and a decent selection of cosmetics, toiletries, toys and home goods. Unlike other Walmarts they keep their shelves well stocked. So, I am usually able to find whatever Im looking for in the store.

The store had hardly any lunchmeats, hot dogs, bacon in stock. What was in stock you had to dig to the back of cooler. Not very organized either or clean.

I have been living in the downriver area for about 5 years now and I now find myself actively avoiding this Walmart. Shelves are never stocked or organized to the point where I would put my stuff back and walk out of the store. The produce selection is to be desired, lacking simple vegatable such as asparagus. And if they were there, they were not stocked onto shelves. The section for tools is an absolute mess, I have seen better organizational skills from a toddler. I give one star as it is not possible to give zero.

I went for 2 items. One in the grocery area, Wal-Mart service rep got on her phone and told me it was only available on line. Then I went to the phone dept. for a charging cable and he said the samething without checking. I found what I needed after about 5 minutes.Went to find him and he was busy with his friend. He came to unlock the cabinet and didnt know how, then his friend slid the door open from the other side. 😲

Arrived half hour before closing. Only needed a few items. No waiting at U scan registers. Was in and out in 15 mins. surprisingly they were out of eggs and canned corn. They were restocking the shelves though. Great low prices.

One of the worst Walmart stores Ive ever seen. The store is a mess. Two registers open with lines going back 15 deep into clothing. This is completely unacceptable. When this was pointed out to the cashier that more registers needed to be opened, her reply was that the manager might be in customer service, but were doing our job. She should have called the manager to me, not have me go hunting him down. Very poor customer service and poor attitude from the cashier.

The pharmacy is the BEST and I always enjoy going through the store because of the variety of items.

I drove 40 minutes roundtrip to get a $5 electronic item. It was behind locked glass. There was no automotive section employees to be found, nor hardware section employees. I asked a random employee nearby for help. She wouldnt help me. I waited around for about 10 minutes for the hope of finding another employee but nothing. Meanwhile the lady I asked for help is just sitting there playing in an aisle on her phone. garbage customer service. A waste of gas. Ill have to go to a different location now.

Drove around the Southgate store on Dix- Toledo looking for the Automotive center. There isnt one. I needed to purchase some Mobil One 5w-20 Annual oil with their synthetic oil filter. Easily found a parking space and then found everything inside that I needed at very good prices. The parking lot was half full (ok, half empty), but I was surprised to not really see a crowded store. And it was clean today! I used the self checkout and waited for an entire minute! Easy in, easy find, easy out.

Place was nice but staff is undertrained to the point where they cant operate registers even with training. Also the staff wasnt very good with knowledge of where items are located I had to point another customer to an aisle that a previous employee said didnt exist.

Oh my goodness I had the rudest cashier ever I said hi to her looked her right in the eye and she looked at me and ignored me and then I asked her how her day was going and she continued to ignore me. I looked on the receipt for her name so I can make a complaint and on the receipt it only says the managers name. She also was not wearing a name tag. I did not feel comfortable or welcomed.. I know customer service is challenging but when do you have a customer that is friendly why be rude

This 5 star rating goes out to Tracey that works in pharmacy, after trying to get anyone to answer the phone at this store I finally tried pharmacy and she answered the phone. I just needed someone to check on an item that was in stock in garden center, so she transferred my call to garden center twice and nobody would answer the phone . Tracey put out a page to garden center and the manager and still nobody answered the call, so Tracey went above and beyond and went over to the garden center to check if the item I wanted was available. I live an hour away and have been trying to find a certain rocking chair for my Mom for mothers day that shows that its available in certain stores, but after driving and calling unable to find it. Tracey was wonderful in the fact she was kind, considerate and went out of her way to help a customer . Tracey deserves employee of the month in my book, Thank you Tracey so much for your assistance. Asked an employee for assistance but was refused and the reason given to me was “ the last time I helped a customer getting something down, a can hit my face and I started bleeding. The customer just walked away without saying sorry” She was stating this as she was walking away. Went to customer service, who advised the only thing she could was to intercom someone for assistance but no one showed up.

Shelves were bare in multiple departments and more importantly they always have check out lines that are across the mane isle into the clothing departments. Not ever enough registers open. The self checkout is just as bad at times and I hate using them because I just shopped with all my kids, the last thing I want to do is scan, bag and pay for my groceries while the people that actually work there stand and watch me.

Its easy most days. But they need to open more check outs with actual employees, or have more employees for the scan and go machines and self checkout so when they all mess up at once, one employee isnt running back and forth dieing because of customer errors that could be avoided if a person-checkout was open.

The Southgate store very messy. Looked like a tornado went through it. I am not exaggerating. Did not find what I was looking for.

The conditions of this store are horrible. Half the aisles have product scattered across the aisle. Some aisles were blocked by product. Good luck finding anything you want in this store. Its probably where its not supposed to be or thrown in the middle of the aisle.

Did a grocery pickup order today for the second or third time. Never had any issues before but this time we waited for over half an hour, the associate did not go over substituted items as they always have before, and instead of substituting other flavors of the beverages we ordered, they simply canceled them from the order so were currently stopped at Meijer to get more of the ICE waters we promised our kiddos.Everyone has an off day and well probably give them another chance sooner or later but for now I think well stick to Meijer for our grocery pickup. Ive never waited more than 10 minutes there. I probably couldve shopped it all myself in the 30 minutes we waited today, unfortunately.

This is the worst store I have visited ever. Merchandise all over the shelves, floor, looks worse than a thrift store. Shelves have empty beverage cans in areas like hardware and auto. Looks like a tornado hit the inside of this store. What a ghetto and dumpy Walmart. They should be ashamed!

With everyone getting ready to go back to school they should open more then 2 lanes. I had ice cream in my cart and by the time I got to the register it was melted. The girl was mad at me because I didnt want it anymore but it was melted. There was a lot of workers on the floor that should have been up front.

This is the trashiest walmart Ive ever seen. And thats saying a lot. EVERY aisle is in disarray. It looks dingey and dirty. It smells like a public park restroom.

Walmart used to be the greatest place to go. Now for people that are disabled or have problems lifting and doing things for themselves, it is extremely difficult to do a self checkout, which is what they are all turning into.... They want to get rid of all the cashiers and hire one or two people to watch over the self-checkout when they could just have those people doing the scanning and checking people out.

I used the Walmart app to do my grocery shopping. I merely showed up at the grocery pickup area, and the Walmart associate was at my car asking my name before I even called the number. I received all the groceries very fast, and the young man was extremely efficient.

This has nothing to do with the whole store and everything to do with Online Grocery pickup. I use to work for Pick Up in anotherstate and this is the worst one ever. Employees are rude and every time we have had to wait 30 min or more. No one came out to tell us what is going on and every car that came after would get there items first. I keep trying to give benefit of the doubt, but it ha every single time. No communication at all and just terrible., maybe there should not be pick up here at all.

I went in Today and I ask someone where she was And they said she was fired I am Am so very disappointed . The store was completely disorganized. Nothing was priced or shelf tags that had any form of sku numbers to determine which tags went with which items. Eventually gave up and left the store.

I dont like Walmart to start off with. Here is why I worked for store 1259 in Corbin KY doing set up 1989 my pay 2.25 per hour. Yes, then in 30 days 3.25 per hour. Once the store was opened operational I was placed in pets doing fish, mice, gerbils and birds. Then pulled to cover other departments stocking for other areas and hanging signage and climbing 2 stories on a ladder in the warehouse handing 4x4 posts putting hooks then bicycle from the warehouse roof supports no safety belt or idea of just how dangerous this was. Matt Beltcher was over me made me do it.Then I purchased stocks from the office from my paycheck but never received any certificates after I quit to go back to school.Sam Walton and his 1st board of Wal-Mart known as the expansion crew were not employee friendly but customer service oriented.Now almost 40 years later after Sams children inherited this monster I feel they are gradually changing into a employee based organization more than ever and offer more employee incentives better working conditions and less rules and regulations that are not flexible.So, Ive been shopping more each year than Ive done prior and I am impressed with the staff product knowledge and my overall experience.Love the home delivery the selection the services on-site.Absolutely hated doing that damn goofy azz cheer every morning though...Give me a W!Nope!

The staff was helpful locating items when asked. There were great deals including a 5,000 btu a/c unit for like $134 and a 32 roku tv for $176. Pretty happy with the prices and service. Store was clean and stocked.

Planned to buy flowers in the garden shop and was sickened to see they were all in need of watering. Most were hanging over the pots and the dirt was dry as a bone with a hose laying nearby. I went into the store to buy yard lights and the whole isle was a mess. Nothing was priced and everything was scattered around. I couldnt find the right price on anything. I love Walmart stores but it was so disappointing to see the condition of that area.Please water the flowers.

Great Value brand bread is very soft. Cant beat under a buck these days! Theres always a good deal in there.

Helpful friendly staff. Lots of varieties of many products. Very competitive prices. But for some reason the cereal aisle was in complete disarray that day. Packages opened, food spilled. No idea what happened. I inform the stock person and he said he would have it taken care of ASAP. Therest of the store was spotless!

The manager Kelly was extremely rude and disrespectful absolutely useless no help at all. Wouldnt even check in the backroom for the product we were looking for just said no right away.

The people at the pick-up center are really nice. It doesnt take forever for them to bring your stuff to you.

Had to return a couple items and got store credit and we only had to pay $7 in cash with our Walmart credit card read we received for store credit! Great idea!

Overcrowded a lot of the times. Things that I want are typically sold out. One of my least favorite Walmart locations.

Today I went to Southgate Michigan Walmart. I had to use a self check out line due to there being no lines open.... Every self check out terminal had red lights and I was in line for a hour and 45 minutes and there where only 2 people ahead of me in line. I was angry and discusted. I will not return until they hire actual human beings to run cash registers.

They had things on clearance and refused to give me the items at clearance price, they were rude and cussing then had something else on display and refused to sell it to us so we now have to make a 45 min drive to try and see if another Walmart will actually honor their damn prices! Isnt it illegal to not honor your prices?

Service desk didnt know how to do a return for my online order. Printed labels sent to me from conversation with online people, took to local store for them to mail back & put a refund on my card. .....nothing happening today. No credit was issued to my card. Store told me I have to call back to online people. What???? This a mess!!!
