East Coast did a great job with our granite. They put granite in the kitchen, three baths and laundry. I struggled with the kitchen choice but Debra did a great job getting something we are very happy with. The installers did a fabulous job. We were very pleased with the finished product. I will say be careful template. I chose the placement myself but got a spot that looks like a stain when you glance. I don’t believe that was their fault. Their leads times are a good bit slower than smaller companies but the end result is most important.

I recently set out to replace my Greer homes existing granite countertops and decided to use East Coast Granite & Tile in Spartanburg. I couldnt be more pleased with my choice to go with East Coast. I worked with Sue Davis as my salesperson and a number of other specialists - template and layout specialists, removal team, installation team and finally the sealer specialist! Each and every step of the way, the team was organized, professional and helpful, and long-term most importantly - they met my design goals! I had been to another seller a few months before but they didnt have a slab that worked for me. With Sues capable guidance, I found a slab on their lot but it was sold already, and as an added bonus was a price grade lower than I anticipated. Within 24 hours they had another set of slabs in the same pattern from across the state!I had friends tell me they didnt choose EC recently because they wanted removal and installation on the same day. While they saw that as an inconvenience, as a maker myself, I saw that as a necessary step - as they explained to me - to assure proper fit of the new countertops.I now have a beautiful granite kitchen countertop - and a bonus bathroom vanity of high end quartz as part of the deal! Selection, Pricing, Process were all superb! Thank you team East Coast Granite & Tile!

I would like to begin this review by stating that I can count on one hand the number of poor reviews I’ve ever left a business. I am rarely bothered by common annoyances, and tend to be very understanding if someone might be having an “off” day.Three weeks ago I started trying to go to ECG to look at quartz countertops for a home renovation project coming up. The first time I went to the Greenville location, the door had the OPEN sign lit up, the website said they were open but the doors were locked and nobody answered the phone. Eventually I left and decided to try again the next week. Friday rolled around and the same thing happened again, so I left my phone number. I was called back and I scheduled an appointment for the Spartanburg location for the following week.Which brings me to today; I walked into ECG after a long drive out of the city on my day off only to see about 10-15 people congregated inside the building, talking, huddled and laughing without masks. I have a new baby at home and felt immediately uncomfortable, because I was under the impression precautions were being taken when I made the appointment. This is an issue of respect and professionalism. My time, energy and patience has been disrespected. This is not a political issue, as I am out and about trying to live my life normally as well. Nevertheless, we are still in a global pandemic (which my father is treating covid patients daily) and I am still taking basic precautions for the sake my loved ones. If I am indoors somewhere, I expect businesses to show politeness by wearing masks, competency and professionalism when dealing with customers who are about to spend large amounts of money. I will be taking my dollars elsewhere and would recommend others do the same.

Horrible. We were promised to have the job done within a time frame which is why we chose to use them. We had a demo day scheduled then they bumped us on the day of the demo to the next day between 4 and 6. We get a call at 6:30pm the next day that they are on their way. We have 4 kids, one of them is a 2 year old, so we said that is not acceptable. They pushed us out three days later. After the template was taken we were told the new countertop would be installed 5-7 business days later. They didnt call or inform us about scheduling until the 5th day when they assured us we would have them installed by the 7th day. On the 7th day we were told that it wont be until the 9th day. We had to threaten to not pay for them to squeeze us in on the 8th day and even then there was no remorse or apology from a manager. On the day of install, because they squeezed us in, the install started at 5:15 pm and didnt end till 9:00 pm. I have faux rock on my wall that was broken during the removal of my old countertop and found the broken pieces thrown in my cabinet. I also had to drill a hole in my sink for the soap dispenser because the installers were not able to. Needless to say, you should find a company that actually cares. Theyre obviously not equipped to handle the amount of business they are doing.

We used ECG to install granite countertops and tile backsplash in our kitchen. During the installation, they said the knee wall that the bar top was on wasn’t level. They said they could just lay the granite bar top down flat and leave it unlevel and they were fine with that if we were. (red flag No. 1) We said no, we wanted it to be level – so they put a little flimsy shim and 2-3 globs of silicone down, put the granite bar top on. When we questioned if that would be secure enough – they said it would be fine. The next day, the little piece of wood fell right out. So, it turns out, the entire weight of the granite had only been suspended by a little shim that wasn’t even attached to anything, and a couple of globs of silicone. We called ECG - they looked at it, and told my husband (I wasn’t there at the time) that they had told his wife that the knee wall wasn’t level at the time of the template and that I said okay, and had signed off on it. They flashed some piece of paper with my signature to my husband, but never gave him a copy of it. I know FOR A FACT that they NEVER told me the knee wall had to be leveled – if they had, I would have made sure it was. So they outright lied about that. Any good fabricator would have looked at the unlevel knee wall and held off the installation until we had it leveled - instead of putting AN ENTIRE 12-INCH GRANITE BAR TOP ON NOTHING BUT A COUPLE OF GLOBS OF SILICONE HOLDING IT UP! The only thing they did to “correct” it was put more shims and more globs of silicone down and again assured us it was “fine”.Also, there is a huge crack/line coming down from the top of one of the pieces all the way down to the edge. It’s obvious that this is not a vein and there is no other place in all of the granite that has this in it. Repair guy looked at it and started telling me over and over that it was a vein, not a crack and there was nothing he could do. Debra said that it was just a “natural part of the stone” and showed me pictures of the same “line” in other pieces of the same block we got our slab from. Well, I was there when the fabricator laid out our template on the actual slab and I don’t remember EVER seeing such a bad crack/line in our piece. I know for sure, if I HAD seen that, I would have made sure they didn’t use that part of the slab in my countertops. Again, even if it was “part of the natural stone”, any decent fabricator would not have used that part of the slab. When Debra came out to do my original estimate, we talked about the subway tile backsplash, and I asked her how they handled the edges of it and she said, “oh, they use bull nose tiles for the edges”. I was like, okay, great. I just assumed this was what was going to be done, so imagine my surprise when the tile guy said he was finished and lo and behold – there were no bull-nose pieces – all the edges were just exposed tiles…with the clay-colored part of the tile showing. When I told the tile guy that Debra told me it would be bull nosed and I just assumed that’s how it would be done - he said it wasnt in the contract and there was nothing he could do and since he had already finished everything, someone will now have to rip out all the edge pieces and reinstall all the bull nose tiles for this to be done right. I have since been calling both Debra and Chris at ECG for days, with NO RESPONSE. I truly feel that I will never hear from them again, now that they have my money. Its’ funny, for whatever money they think they “saved” by not making these things right – they don’t realize they have lost THOUSANDS of dollars. We are going to remodel our bathrooms soon and would have used them, but now we won’t. Also, word of mouth spreads like wildfire within the “mom” circles of friends around here…I am on multiple online neighborhood groups where people ask for recommendations of home-related things all the time…and now I will be SURE to tell everyone I can not to ever use East Coast Granite. (excuse the multiple pictures)

My experience with East Coast Granite started off really good! I went to the Easley, SC location to place my granite order. The salesman Corey was extremely nice and helpful. I also received a free promo of a free bathroom vanity/under-mount sink with the purchase of 50 sq ft (minimum). The piece for the vanity had to be picked from a remnant at the Spartanburg location. I found a very nice piece of quartzite for my bathroom (see Pic 1) there. I did use an outside stone supplier because I wanted a really unique piece of granite.I signed the contract on 6/7/19. The measurement for the template was scheduled a few days later. The template people were professional and polite. Installation was exactly 7 business days after the template measurements, which was June 24, 2019. There were 3 people who did the installation, and again, they were all professional, cleaned up after the installation, and they did an excellent job. So far a 5 star rating.....Everything was great until the next day after the install which was 6/25. I noticed two small holes, one of which was about 1 deep, and 2 chips in my granite. I notified Corey immediately, and he said he put in a work order, which he promptly did, and the next day emailed me a copy (pic 2). I did not hear anything the rest of the week, so my husband went into speak with Corey regarding this situation on Saturday 6/29/19. He told my husband he has sent 3 different emails for the repair to be done, which he did. He had a couple customers in the store, so he said he would check on this and call him back. No return call.UPDATE 7/12/2019:Long story short, after the original review I heard back from East Coast Granite immediately. I have since had the small hole and chipped area in the granite repaired, and everything is fine. So, the only problem I have had is trouble getting a hold of them and lack of communication. I changed my original rating from 1 star to 4, only because of the communication problem.

I worked with East Coast Granite last year to renovate my master bathroom. They helped me find the right countertop and explained all different options to me. We went with a quartz countertop that looks great and has been incredibly easy to clean. and maintain. My contractor provided the dimensions and they custom cut it perfectly to my liking. Everything fit great with nice edge profiles.

I almost dreaded getting new countertops. I thought it would be messy, take a long time, and Id have to eat peanut butter sandwiches for years to pay for it. Not so!!! ECG was clean, efficient, friendly, and very competitively priced. I love my kitchen again!

We are having a house built through AJH in Greenville County. Our builder asked us to go to East Coast Granite in Spartanburg to pick out our granite selections. We had an appointment and met with the general manager Chris. They have a nice selection of granite. Chris explained that our builder had allowed for any category 1 granite, so we would be in budget as long as we picked category 1. So we made our choices, picking from category 1 and a couple of remnants. We did pick one category 2 remnant, but he called our builder and assured us that we were within our budget allowance. Here is where the 2 star review comes in: about one month after, we we received a notification that we were $575 over our allowance. We called Chris, the general manager and he said that the company charges extra for cut-outs (for the sinks and faucets, which was never mentioned prior to this point). He then said he would check into the issue further and get back with us, but he never did.Ultimately, we were told that we were in budget, charged $575 over budget, and they neither made it right or followed up as promised. If you still choose to use this granite company, my suggestion would be that you do not leave the store unless you have an itemized bill in hand, because words and conversations do not help when the bill arrives.

Very satisfied! I called one day and had someone (Sue) out the very next day to give me a quote and the granite was in my kitchen within a week! It looks beautiful too. They did an excellent job. Sue is a real go getter and went above and beyond to answer my questions and make suggestions. She actually suggested a different sink than the one we were going to put back in and I’m so grateful because the one we were going to use would’ve looked hideous with that beautiful counter. Will definitely be using them again in the near future for another job.
