Second stop of the day, right in the heart of Spartanburg. Upon entering I was greeted by the barista at the register and warm light of the environment. After ordering, it was less than a minute before my coffee was ready at the pickup area. I also purchased a Mediterranean scone, and let me tell you: The Mediterranean scone was absolutely delicious. Whoever made these should be recognized.

My experience here has been wonderful. The coffee is rich in flavor and comes in compostable plastic cups (with compostable straws, as well)! As an advocate for sustainability, I am so happy to see such a place like this in Spartanburg. The ambience is grand and the baristas/cashiers are so sweet, striking conversation with many customers. I usually get an iced french vanilla latte and garlic biscuit, which is freshly baked! Oh, and the prices are comparable to that of Starbucks.

This coffee truly has flavor. It is not burnt like the chain shop next door. Im picky about my coffee and coffee shops so its almost impossible for me to give 5.0 rating. This coffee is great and the people are friendly. My biggest complaint is that they close too early. I like to get late night coffee sometimes. For me I rate this place 4.7 or 4.8. I will come back often and recommend this place to everyone. I even buy fresh roasted beans at their roasting location. If you Love Coffee you will Love LRR!!!

I really wasnt expecting much, just wanted a place to take a minute while my car was being worked on. I was more than pleasantly surprised by what I walked into. I stopped by this quaint little spot to do some work while I was in town. I really enjoyed the coffee and they have so many brewing choices. The staff was really helpful and accommodating. However I didnt give 5 stars for two reasons, in which they have no control over. First, there are not many electrical outlets to plug your laptop into. The other downside is the noise inside. The place is small a echoy, so it was rather loud for my conference calls.

The Coffee Bar opens at 7am, which makes it the perfect place for early morning meetings with colleagues and/or professors. Im not particularly picky about my coffee this early in the morning, so I ordered the house blend and the barista told me that it was a help-yourself/take-as-much-as-you-need purchase! He gave me a mug and I drank as much as I needed to keep me awake. The atmosphere was inviting and warm, which made me feel comfortable. I had heard that this was a popular place for college students, but now I know why, and I will definitely be utilizing this space more often!

Formerly this space was used for the masons meetings, but eight years ago they opened the bottom floor for commercial businesses. The fraternity still meet upstairs, but the history (and mystery) is so cool! Little River Coffee Bar gets points for: the history of the building and mysteries within those walls, their decor and furniture (its cozy for conversation and/or studying), outdoor seating (which I enjoy), their coffee roast (its tasty by itself without cream or sugar), originality (I learned more about coffee and new ways to make it), and friendly staff.

The drink was good but the service was poor. They told my friend that they shut the machines down and refused to make her the drink she asked for. The Coffee Bar is the best coffee spot in Spartanburg(thats my opinion of course) as its affordable and the quality of their coffee is above Starbucks. They also serve tea, smoothies, and frappe which is great for the hot days. Now if you want to indulge your sweet tooth and read a good book theres the Cakehead Bakery (which is located inside of the cafe) and the Hub City Bookstore(right beside it). The only gripe I have is that it has early closing hours and that its closed on Sunday.

Really good drip coffee, but my friend and I came in 20 minutes before closing and the barista said they couldn’t make us pour overs or espresso drinks a that hour, and as someone with experience in small/local food service that’s unacceptable 20 minutes before closing. Like I said, even the drip coffee they did have available was amazing, but I can’t leave a good review with the horrible customer service was not up to any industry standard and the barista wasn’t the most hospitable about the situation, despite the fact that it was obviously an inconvenience to us. I understand it’s annoying for customers to come in that close to closing but it’s still their job to serve the customer in the best way possible.
