Spill the Beans was a fantastic find this morning. Both craft and care were found in the latte I ordered this morning, with lovely latte art, appropriate texturing, and simple and sweet flavors. Everything feels intentional about the environment, and the atmosphere is what you’d want from a modern coffee shop. Spill the Beans is definitely a great way to greet the day!

Get the espresso, it has such an awesome fruity flavor. This shop seems to be made for social media with everything being carefully coordinated. Also, every barista I’ve interacted with here has been really friendly.

Ice cream, coffee & much more. Pretty much you could get your ice cream as you see fit. Lots of choices. Downtown city vibes. You could sit outside or inside. Outside was a great vibe, Spartanburg was much better than expected. Inside is more of a study hall if your trying to catch up on some classes!

I have been coming to Spill the Beans for months now, and I have always walked away with a positive experience. The staff is very friendly, the place is clean and filled with natural light, and the coffee great. Love getting the drip coffee and working or studying for hours on end. Highly recommend!

Its a very special place for my wife and I.We visited this place on the day we put an offer for the house we now live in.The staff is great. Very kind and helpful. They make you feel valued and welcomed. One guy went above and beyond to serve me and find a very clever solution to my request.The ice cream is delicious of course. The many ice cream mixes look very enticing 😎The shakes are delicious too. Many coffee choices as well.Its a really great place to visit for sure.

Fun and beautiful place! Delicious ice cream. Nice seating for meetings or studying. However, it’s not the quietest place but that depends on the individual’s preference.

Great coffee right in downtown Spartanburg! A great big open and inviting area that can still feel cozy without being crowded. Outdoor seating is available as well. A mix of students, families, and couples give the feeling that everyone is welcome. A must go destination when were out and about in the downtown area.

Best chill spot in town coffee sweets and the Russian red bull is the bomb it’s a red bull drink in a slushy form that u can add flavours to it my favourite is the peach

Its pretty good. In a bigger city, Id probably give it 3-stars, but in downtown Spartanburg it gets an extra star just for not being Starbucks. Plus theres a place down the street called the Little River Coffee Bar that kind of set the bar so low that it makes every other coffeeshop in the area look better.

Good coffee selections, good tea selections. Prices are a little high but no worse than the chain coffee shops. Ice cream is great. Mexican hot chocolate is also good. Nice to come in and sit inside and chat or study.

My husband and I went for ice cream. They only have chocolate and vanilla but lots of add ins. For both of us to have a waffle cone and a bottle of water was $14 so to me that’s super expensive but the quality was good and the gentleman was nice and patient while we decided what we wanted. Overall good but would only go for a special treat once in a while.

My wife and I have visited spill the beans several times since moving to the area and have enjoyed the experience every time. The espresso is delicious.

This coffee shop is a really cool space aesthetically, and because the air conditioner is bangin! Get an iced latte, relax on the sleek furniture, and get out of the heat. The corner location makes for lots of natural light, if youre trying to get work done.

Excellent coffee for very cheap. Great hangout to do school work or chill. Music is low making it easy to talk or relax.

Great atmosphere, timely and friendly service. The coffee was made very well and presented in a lovely fashion. It had a real local and relaxed feel with good wifi and a good amount of seating. Have gone multiple times and will go again!

This place is open late and has great drinks and desserts but apparently face coverings are not an important issue for the staff...or customers. The barista was wearing a mask beneath her nose and the young man who took our order only put on a mask when he saw we had on ours. He wore it beneath his nose and kept picking at his top lip with his fingers. The place was packed and Im not exaggerating when I say that not a single other customer besides my boyfriend and me wore a mask. Sadly, we wont be returning. Its not a safe environment during a pandemic.

Dont expect much and you might not be disappointed. The curly haired young man that helped us was in need of training in both customer service and process. Luckily the Dorman softball player was there as well to keep him on track.

Spill the beans is great! loads of seating, really good coffee drinks, fast WiFi. Taken several classes here online without any issue.

Today was my first experience at Spill the beans. My friends and I often meet up and do paperwork while talking amongst each other, I was very excited to switch it up from our normal establishment and try the coffee and view the space. Upon arriving at spill the beans I purchased a white mocha which was very good. We grabbed a seat and began doing work. A few other college students arrived and began working as well beside us. They had two other friends join them who must have stopped by Starbucks on their way to meet their friends. As the students were working quietly, the Spill the beans employee approached the students and said very rudely, “it is about to be very busy, we need these seats for paying customers. This is a coffee shop and you brought Starbucks in here, you can take it back. I need this space for actual customers.” The students were respectful and stated they were going to purchase coffee and the employee just kept insisting they needed to leave, then walked off. By this time, the entire restaurant was staring because the employee had made a scene. We continued to work while the other students debated on purchasing coffee after the way the employee had spoken to them. ( I personally would not have.) A few minutes pass, a few customers walk through the door and the employee walks back over, more demanding and harsh than the first time telling the students they needed to leave over and over again and that they were not customers due to the fact of not having purchased anything from Spill the beans yet! I was mortified for them. The employee not once asked if they were planning on purchasing any goods from the shop, just repeatedly demanded them to leave. The other students left and my group as well cleaned up after ourselves and left. Before leaving, multiple other customers took out their headphones and grabbed our attention asking what was the employees problem and why was he acting that way. It was very embarrassing. I feel it was very unprofessional and not a fair business practice to handle this situation this way. His delivery was extremely poor and he did not create the atmosphere that has been advertised on social media about this coffee shop. Overall, the coffee is good, the space is beautiful. However, if you don’t plan on ordering a drink as soon as you walk on forget sitting down. As a paying customer today, I feel very bad for the treatment of these students. I hope the employee learns that a kind delivery goes a lot further than harsh demands.

Average drip coffee literally a little better than Folgers. Awesome drinks made to order like a coffee shake they have. Multiple times they are out of the mix ins for the ice cream which funny that they can’t go to a store and buy them till a shipment comes in like that’s business 101. Overall it’s good and quiet atmosphere. It’s just sometimes not ran well and the prices are almost double other local coffee shops with lower quality coffee

The reviews posted by Harlea Martin and Bo Erickson are very inaccurate. I just want to correct the comments they have posted from an outsiders view to the incident that occurred while I was there. I was sitting at a table nearby when the employee from Spill the Beans approached their table after they had been there for close to an hour and told them that if they weren’t going to buy anything then he needed the seats for customers. Only one of them spoke up saying they hadn’t had coffee yet and was planning to buy a coffee. He then stated again that he needed to make sure he had seats for the customers and walked off.After no purchase, 15-20 minutes later the employee came back and said it was getting really busy, and he really needed the seats for his customers so if they weren’t going to buy anything then he was going to have to ask them to leave. there was a crowd standing in line and maybe only two seats available. This group of students was taking up a whole long table that could fit about 8 people. The students made a scene by being loud and arguing with the employee about what if they were sharing the one drink that had been bought, and again and again the employee kept saying that he needed the seats for his customers and pointed out the line at the register. The students proceeded to get their things together while loudly saying “everybody go to Starbucks, everyone go to Starbucks”. One of them left their Starbucks cup on the table as well. Two girls at a table asked what happened and then they left.

My classmates and I went to spill the beans and 2 of us bought coffee from there, 2 others met us here with Starbucks drinks to work on homework. Their employee at the time told us all to leave because we had Starbucks drinks and ALL of us had to buy their coffee or get out. So we all left and went to Starbucks Where they let us study in piece with spill the beans coffee because they aren’t afraid of someone else’s coffee products at their store!!

Spill The Beans in downtown Spartanburg is a great place to stop for quality coffee and chai tea. . This place is fast and convienent if you are in a hurry, but also a really good place to sit back and enjoy yourself if you have a little more time to do so. This is also a great place to meet up with a friend or business partner. It is spacious and roomy with its large windows and high ceilings. It is an older building that has been renovated. You will see all ages here- college kids and older... great place to visit! We are from out of town and went here twice in two days!

A comfortable spot, its perfect for coffee and ice cream(with the occasional and affordable cakes). When you need room to study and take time from everyday life, its great to do so. If you like hot cocoa and coffee, I recommend the Aztec Mocha(its a Mexican hot chocolate with two shots of espresso and you have to ask for it). It combinations like that which makes this coffee spot worth visiting.

I had the worst experience ever someone by the name of Kate told someone to spit in my coffee early today because I was being rude all I did was repeat that again a few times because my hearing is going away due to medical reasons.I will never go here again because of this rude person

The prices are relatively cheap in comparison to their competitors (Starbucks, etc.). I ordered their Hazelnut coffee while was decent except for its burnt aftertaste.Great indoor atmosphere. It is definitely a place for one to come study and relax without any major disruptions.

Excellent! Most times I find that iced or frozen drinks have a chemical taste - not here!! The drinks were very good, the staff is friendly and informative and the environment is bright but welcoming. I will DEFINITELY be back the next time I am in town.

Really nice environment, I wished the menu was a little more elaborate with what they offer... You dont know unless you ask. And the prices for some things are pretty steap. But all in all, a good place. I will return, when I have a few extra dollars to blow.

One of Spartanburgs finest coffee places. Dont bother going to Starbucks when you have this as an option. Superbly crafted, rich espresso in a downtown location with plenty of comfortable seating. Recommend the ice cream as well!

This morning my lady went to grab coffee for her and I and brought our little pitbull with her. She tried to walk in, but was rudely stopped and told that she was a health code violation because they serve food; however, we have never had a problem with our Golden Retriever coming inside. Employees love to give him whipped cream and love on him. Its not fair to assume the worst about a breed. The pitbull has a lot better temperament than the golden. I wont be coming back.
