Hub City scoops hosted my daughters birthday party this afternoon in their new private party space behind the shop. The party planning was so easy thanks to Kathy and her awesome staff! They did a great job setting everything up and it was perfect! Hailey helped us out with during the party and she did a fantastic job! I would highly recommend having a party here...especially for a little one with a sweet tooth! Thank yall so much...my daughter said it was the best birthday EVER!

The ice cream is delicious and for that reason I always return. However, I do wish they had high chairs. It’s really inconvenient having to hold your toddler while eating ice cream. Another recommendation is to play music. It helps to keep kids entertained a bit longer. I find myself playing something on my phone because it’s so quiet and kids can be loud! Help a mother out and I promise to buy more ice cream!

I love this place !!! four scoops $7.99 and they also have Mexican coffee. My favorite the exhausted parent bourbon flavored ice cream with chocolate and kitty kitty bang bang raspberry flavored ice cream. Its downtown Spartanburg location is the best. Opens at 11a to 9p. ☕🍧🍨

Not a big ice cream fan but it was pretty good. The basic bean is what I had and I would order it again. The employees were very nice.

My sons birthday wish was ice-cream right here. Delish as always and served with a pleasant smile. Ty for the clean tables and the opportunity to a free round of mini golf w/the free clubs (only a license to check out). Way cool place

I love the variety of flavors and options. The staff was accommodating, allowing my 2 small children and myself try samples before committing to our flavors. I also appreciate the small tables for small people. My kids really enjoyed it and well be back.

Since the dawn of time, mankind has tried to capture the essence of creaminess. Hub City Scoops has done it, and in a waffle cone. You can get a pretty good sugar buzz from the store ice cream flight, a board of four ice cream flavors served with waffle cone chips.Cookies as large as - and vastly more appetizing than - a childs face are available. I swear one of them actually incorporated full-size Hersey kisses.I will be back - the flavors rotate, Im told.

Its a great place!Smack downtown Spartanburg --- and just a bit up from the restaurants in Daniel Morgan Square --- so one feels justified by walking to get an ice cream. 😁Not every flavor under the sun, but the have the bases covered.Young people behind the counter --- which can go one of two directions: frustrating or fun.Today, it was was fun. Enjoyed engaging with them and they were courteous and kind.We had the Peach ice cream. It was good, but could have been peachier. 🍑 Mind you --- that did not stop us from eating 2 scoops.The tables out front are nice. Hope they stay there post-distancing because: A) its nice to be outdoors enjoying ice cream and B) remember...its free advertising.A visit to downtown Spartanburg should include a stroll around --- and a stop at Hub City Scoops.Enjoy!!

Love Hub City Scoops! It’s in a great location downtown (check out the “mall” inside!). Wide variety of flavors, with a few “out there” type of flavors. Staff of kind enough to let you sample before you make your purchase. Small games available to pass time while enjoying your ice cream. Cute little ‘old school’ feel to this shop.

We went there first time. The staff was friendly and patients with me, my friends, and the kids. The ice cream was awesome!

Its funny how the Owner just ignores reviews that are addressing the issues.Edit. From previous review and a comment from owner we have a very strict hand washing policy; we rarely touch the food you are consuming; gloves tend to provide a false sense of security. What?? For who?? For the owner? Ive seen so many thumbs in peoples ice cream, employees using their fingers to help scoop!!! Ive waited in line for 5 minutes, and none of 5-7 employees, not ONCE washed their hands. So nobody follows the rules and your policy. I much rather see them changing gloves after they touch something thats not ice cream, than thumbs all over my ice cream.For this, for not supervising your employees Id give you 10 one star review. Too bad I cant.Ice cream is delicious. A must stop to get you some. BUT. Today was my second time there. First time I had to wait for the employees to end their conversation with each other to start ordering. I thought it was a bit disrespectful and unprofessional. NONE of them had gloves on. Theyre handling cash and back to scooping ice cream. I didnt want to leave any review, thinking its just one of those days when you run out of gloves but gotta keep going.Today, decided to give it another try. NONE of them had gloves on, again. So it wasnt a coincidence. They just dont use gloves. I saw an employee wiping dust off of a picture frame on the wall and back to scooping/ mixing ice cream. I havent seen a single employee washing their hands after handling cash at the register. Idk. Is ice cream good? YES. Do I wanna be back? YES. Will I be back? I dont know. Not until the management takes this gloveless matter seriously.

My favorite ice cream shop. 🍦My favorite flavors are Orange Sherbet and This S&%t Just Got Serious aka Serious. When the pandemic hit I received a phone call letting me know that they didnt know when they would be getting any Orange Sherbet but they had Rainbow Sherbet. 🌈 So when I called for an update the owner said theyve been scooping out Orange Sherbet from the Rainbow Sherbet, which is a lot of work. So to support one of my favorite small businesses I ordered a pint of Orange Sherbet and a pint of Serious. I ❤Hub City Scoops!!!

Been coming here for a few years even when they were at the old location. The ice cream is always top notch, but serving sizes seem to be shrinking. I came in for a single scoop with my daughter today and definitely got what I would consider a junior scoop. Literally took 4 bites to finish the ice cream, so that’s basically $1 per bite. I don’t want a double scoop, as that’s simply too much ice cream for me in one sitting, but the scoop I got today was laughable, especially for the price. Might start trying some other alternatives in the area.

Although the ice cream is more expensive than what you can buy in the grocery store, youre paying for high-quality, rich, creamy ice cream from Madison, Wisconsin. There are many flavours to choose from, and if your favorite flavor is not on the line they will go in the back to get it for you. They make a fresh batch of their waffle cones, bowls, and chips daily to ensure freshness, and the staff are always willing to help you make a decision. Overall, this has become one of my favorite spots to meet friends at, and Im always down to drop $5 for a pint of anything mint-flavored.

I was undecided of what I wanted. It was like a kid on Christmas morning, so I ended up getting the chocolate mint ice cream and it was delightful. If you havent been here Id suggest you make a stop. The young man that worked the register was very helpful and Professional.

The ice cream is really good and various flavors! I always take my kids there. However I just got two birthday cakes from there and I am upset that I request same size birthday cakes and the cakes were two different sizes. All I got from any employee I spoke with is im sorry and it was the decorators. I think im going to take a break from going there, my kids absolutely love thier ice cream. And I do recommend the ice cream but not the ice cream cake! Its a toss up if you get good quality ice cream cakes from this place!!!

They always have the best flavors. And you have to try the banana split! It is the best I have ever had! Try it with coconut, green tea and exhausted parent flavors.

A great local ice cream place! They have the traditional flavors, but also the unique for adventurous customers. They also have candy. Its set up with a little retro flair. The prices arent bad either. Great place to grab some dessert with friends!

Ended up leaving without purchasing. No one was wearing gloves and using their thumbs to corral the ice cream. Another employee was running their fingers through their hair while scooping ice cream.

The staff are super nice! They were very helpful and even went in the back to get my favorite flavor, Moose Tracks! Unfortunately, the Moose Tracks was extremely grainy. I couldn’t tell if it was because it was freezer burnt or if it’s just the consistency of the ice cream. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed especially since I took my ice cream to go so I ended up throwing it away after 2 bites...

Fast service and delicious, thick ice cream.

This was my first visit to this establishment and I quite enjoyed it. They have a different way of drawing customers into their store and they give off a classic vibe. They have a limited amount of flavors, but they change them regularly. I will highly recommend them to my friends and family.

Terrible service, waited in line forever only to have people who came in after we did to be waited on before us. Ice cream is no better than store bought after all that ww wont be back.

My family has been there numerous times, but it was my first time. The staff were very friendly. A good selection of ice creams and I had the Mexican coffee. A nicely decorated store along with other shops that I did not know existed down the hallway. They have been nice enough to provide golf clubs and balls for the Putt-Putt down by the fr8yard. Overall I will certainly go there again

Oh my God. It was the greatest experience I have ever had. The ice cream melted in my mouth it was so delicious, creamy, and cold. Everything you expect from an amazing ice cream cone. I would recommend to anyone as the best ice cream in Spartanburg. Also has a wide variety of unique flavors.

We ended up visiting hub city scoops after finding out that Abbotts had closed. And while the ice cream was good (fat Elvis was the best!!) We were pretty disappointed in how rushed we felt and how unfriendly the staff was, all besides the cashier. Asking for sprinkles to be added onto my daughters ice cream seemed like an inconvenience to the woman taking our order. I might consider coming again when its a little less busy but dont plan on making this our weekly ice cream place this summer

Lots of options. I had the cherry chocolate chip, which was very good. Customer service and prices are better than Brusters. Id say the quality of ice cream is superior as well.

This ice cream shop is super cute! As soon as you open the door the scent of fresh baked waffle cone hits you. The flavors cover the spectrum of classic to unique and seasonal. The best part...you can get ice cream flights of 4 flavors with optional waffle cone chips (vanilla and/or chocolate) or ice cream nachos (waffle cone chips topped the way you like it). Leave your food guilt at the door.

Great ice cream nice people a very charming addition to down town Spartanburg

During Mayfest my family was desperate for a way to cool down. We chanced upon this gem. The staff, despite being very busy, were extremely helpful. I am lactose intolerant, so whenever my family want ice cream, I am just along for the ride. To my great delight, I discovered they had a lactose free offering that wasnt sherbet (Which I hate)! I enjoyed a (non) milkshake for the first time in years without any trouble! Big thanks to Hub City Scoops for being so thoughtful and wonderful!

Ive been using a different ice cream shop in downtown,but this HCS was closer to where I parked,so why not? Lol. Super friendly staff,yummy icecream,and a fun atmosphere! Toys and small tables for the kids and cozy tables by the christmas trees for couples! Love it! 2 kids cones was only $5!
