I just bought a car from these brothers, and had the best experience! I flew in to look at a couple of cars they had, and ended up buying one. They picked me up at the airport, and treated me like family. Their lot is like a candy store for car guys! They have a ton of subies to choose from. I chose one of the ones with a rebuilt motor. They put together a nice package on their rebuilds. Car runs super smooth and strong! Highly recommend checking this family business out!

Went to this place with my son to check out a vehicle he wanted. Had gone to many other local dealerships that sold Subarus and all seemed untrustworthy and typical, but that was not the case with this place. The staff was very upfront and honest, Sean answered all my questions and told us what to expect with the kind or Subaru my son wanted. Got a history report as soon as I asked and didnt get hassled. Price was fair and got a free warranty with the deal. Absolutely pleased with our purchase, because my son was about to make a bad purchase elsewhere. Great place to buy a Subaru - especially if youre shopping around used. I walked out with a 2013 Subaru STI at a great price. They replaced all the major parts at 95k miles such as the timing belt.Marcus was especially helpful and provided both CarFax AND an AutoCheck full report. Car was well maintained throughout the life span and was serviced every few months. Marcus recommended that I brought my own mechanic and so I did. The STI being a used car wasnt perfect cosmetically (which is OK for an 8 year old car!) but everything seemed to check out - my mechanic used an advanced OB2 scanner and found out that they werent hiding any code sensors. Brake pads werent amazing, but rotors were still in good shape and Marcus offered his mechanics to get that replaced.Fred seems like a very knowledgeable mechanic when it comes to working on Subarus as well, and they were all very welcoming and transparent throughout the transaction.Im typically very hesitant and on my guard about buying a used performance car, however these guys seem to really specialize in the niche of performance vehicles - and Id highly recommend checking them out if that is what youre in the market for.Also wanted to note that they are only looking to work with serious buyers - if youre window shopping and just want to test drive a car for fun, this place might not be for you. They offer financing but for older vehicles, you may want to look at Credit Union pre approvals from places like Mission Federal and Navy Federal CU.Ive been incredibly happy with my car and this is the most powerful ride Ive driven. I don’t know where to start, everyone here is very professional and answered every question I had. Sean, Fred and Chris are extremely knowledgeable about the cars that they sale and put in quality work into every car they fix, rebuild or mod out. Im with James Belanger! Havent bought a car from them but all they do is race up and down the road with these horrible sounding cars. AND..they threw a brick thru my friends truck window!!! (there are cameras everywhere on our property & monitoring the street) My friend is handicap and a veteran!! They have fowl mouths and will stop at nothing to aggravate ANY situation they can! They also tell their trucks to park & block OUR driveway! Theyve made me miss doctor appts, my neighbors late for work! Character references! Edit after two months with my car. Buyer beware. Friendly guys, but will tell yo anything to make the sale. I totally regret buying from here. Had an oil leak the day after i got the car, they said they would handle it .Cool deal right? Nah, they made a poor repair and a month later Ive got it in the Subaru dealership fixing the repair they made. Gonna cost me 600. On top of the 800 I had to spend to fix a blown strut. Just dont do it man, even though they have that car you have been searching for. Save your money, find a better one.

Great guys. I found a car online and gave them a call. I spoke to Marcus and was very friendly and straightforward. Answered every question without being hesitant. I drove from Bakersfield to San Diego to check out the car and was just as described. I also met Sean out there (whom I think is part owner) and was a great guy and very humble. READ THIS! This dealership literally has little to no knowledge about the cars they sell and are very dishonest about their cars. Also they have brain dead mechanics/techs. I bought a car from here that Im 100% certain they cleared a code from the memory before I test drove it. I had multiple problems within a week of driving the car. After removing parts in the engine bay and inspecting them I found most my problems. I knew I could fix it but I tried to get them to compensate me because just on parts alone it cost me around $1300. The manager told me that the car has the error code and problems because I stalled out even thought my code was no where near clutch or crank related!! The manager and his pathetic excuse for mechanics and techs offered to fix my car and test it but had NO knowledge about my vehicle that they sold me what so ever. I asked them simple questions how to change out certain parts of my car and they were giving me random answers that were no where near correct, couldnt even tell me what engine my car had after giving them like 5 minutes to google it, I had to tell them myself. They were pretty determined to not compensate me any money and I did not want them any where near the car to try to fix it because theyre extremely brainless when it came to my vehicle and car parts. If you like working on screwed up cars San Diego Auto Club is the place for you! That being said any dealership that makes you hand write and sign a contract saying that theyre not responsible for any problems with the whole entire car youre 100% going to get screwed over and I learned this the hard way.

Bought my 2002 subi, About 2 years ago. Sean and Chris always take care of me. They do all my service and my tune ups. No one touches this subi but san diego auto club. i love that they have their own mechanic that works on majority of subarus. When i mean majority i mean about 95%. Nothing about the process was less than outstanding. The only thing they didnt tell me was how helpful they were gong to be.

We came up from AZ to find a car and were very happy with the overall experience. Shawn knows his subies inside and out. He even had a access port for us to use to measure the car while doing a test drive. Other dealers have Subarus on their lot but this lot was 3/4 Subarus. Marcus helped with the deal and gave us a great deal. Overall, the experience was good. Shout out to Chris too for helping with the shipping.

They gave me an offer on my car the other day and said my current car not being completely paid off was not a problem, I called them today to let them know I applied for a loan to cover the car I wanted and the slight negative equity that I had which they again said (that it wasn’t a problem and that they would work with me) and they told me they won’t work with me and that they don’t work with people that still owe money on their car, they said they only work with people that have a car that’s fully paid off. They don’t work with people.They don’t treat their customers with respect, the guy I talked to was rude today when I called and had an attitude.Also I was looking to trade in my car that has a clean title for a car with a salvaged title because they had to fix.This company sucks.They don’t know how to treat people.They don’t sell clean cars.If I could give less than one star, I would without hesitation.

Honestly Ive shared my experience here before. Again I was given false ideas. I was told i would be helped to make up for my unsatisfying experience. And then i was just left standing. For the 2nd time. They have gone back on their word. Trust me. Just dont bother coming here. You can get better service anywhere else. And be treated better than you will here.

Shady business right here. On test drives, people are allowed— if not encouraged— to speed down the 25mph limited residential streets around it. They don’t have a proper parking structure, so they park their cars all up and down the street. Do not buy from here. They are not trustworthy. I also notice that many of the positive reviews seem suspect, and I would not be surprised if they were planted.

Its all about what you can do for them. They the nicest guys but as soon as you finish buying the car the customer care is over. Never seen so much half done work on such could be decent cars.

So I bought a 04 boosted lancer from here and they sold it to be with major problems without me knowing the turbo manifold was the absolute worst makeshift welding job which they covered with a metal cover, the headlights were dim, only one bright worked the moon roof and radio didnt work and on top of all that there was a boost leak which they said oh it needs a tune FALSE: the problem was the waste gate couldnt handle the psi so it would dump the boost out making the car stall, go, stall, go when I put my foot all the way down. BOTTOM LINE: if their price seems to good to be true, it probably is.

I recently bought an 05 STi from SDAC. Overall it was a longer process then what I expected but that probably comes with the territory since I was an out of state buyer. Chris and Shawn seemed willing to work with me once they knew I wasnt a flake and trying to waste their time. They dropped the car off at another dealership for a pre purchase inspection as well as took it to the port to be shipped to me. I was a bit stressed not seeing the car myself but Im overall happy with the car now that I have it. Im sure if you are looking for a specific Subaru or other car like it this is a place to try first. I say if you have the chance to buy from these guys go for it, especially if your local because they seemed more then willing to make me a happy customer although Im not in California by offering to pay for a few minor things not mentioned by during the inspection.

Came down to window shop back in April. The staff wasnt pushy on buying a car or trying to shove cars down your throat. Super helpful and ended up buying a gorgeous Evo 9. The car sold its self. Purchased a 2006 sti from this place a few months ago. Buying experience was great, but the person who usually picks up the phone really doesnt know what he is talking about, so I went there in person and checked out the car. Ended up speaking to Sean and he was amazing, he knew all the specs on the cars and explained what to expect when getting into a sti. I wasnt convinced so they allowed me to get it inspected by the Subaru dealer. Car passed inspection just little stuff needed attention, Sean gave me great deal and I still call and ask for help with maintenance and upgrades to this day. Great guys that go out of their way to help Subie owners. Thanks SD Auto Club, Ill definitely recommend friends. Speak to Sean hes the man.

Sketchy as heck. All the cars look way better online. Faded paint, stained interior, ticking from some vehicles. All cars are sold as is with no warranty. Wouldnt recommend this place.

Solid place and great guys, dont let the outside fool you. At first glance with a few negative reviews you get a little concerned, however this is a great place. Chris and Sean are awesome guys with a wealth of knowledge, especially subSub based. They will do what it takes to earn your business without lowering morals. Lets be honest the cars here are 7 plus years old for the most part, theyre not perfect but, I gurantee Sean and or Chris will do what it takes to make it right for you. I purchased an 06 STI with fresh rebuild and have been back for upgrades. Chris gave me a hell of a deal on some coilovers and some other parts. Stop by and take a look, your bound to find something you like and within your price range.

Bought a 2004 STI from these guys back in 2016 with a Rebuilt Motor 5000 miles later I have a horrible rod knock and it turns out that according to a Subaru specialist that the motor was not rebuilt and it looks like its been through hell. They wouldnt provide me with a receipt of the Work done on the engine, Not to mention the ball joint broke two days after owning the car and did a lot of damage to the passenger fender. I am not the kind of person that would go out of their way to talk bad about a dealership as I used to be a salesperson but when you are making a $17,000 purchase you expect things to work well. It came with Tien coilovers on the car and they said the clunking sound was because of those coilovers... I checked the ones they ever so generously replaced my car with and they were older wrx coilovers. So now the car is blown up, with half STI coilovers and half WRX coilovers, damaged from the ball joint breaking. The guys I test drove with didnt want me to boost the car at all because it was still in the Break In period. I know it was a used car but I could have bought a salvage title STI that was better than the one I got. I have heard of people getting good cars from these guys but unfortunately I got a bad one.

This place is super shady. Sure it is cool look around because they have so many tuner cars, but beware. A lot of the cars do not have Carfaxes and have not been properly fixed/maintained. Spotted a WRX with an STI wing that literally had double side tape protruding from underneath it where it was attached to the trunk. Would NOT recommend buying any car from here without an inspection from a trusted and experienced (with Subarus especially) mechanic. If it is too good to be true, then it probably is. Avoid this place!

This place has gone downhill. I used to be a huge advocate for them, even with a massive car community that was against them, and they turned their back on me. I traded in a ford focus last year, my brother was there and witnessed us do all the paperwork including release of liability.They never filed it/paid the dmv fee come to find out. So, I start getting parking tickets in the mail. They said theyd handle it. No big deal, right? They said the paperwork was fixed. It wasnt.Another parking ticket. SD auto club? We handled it.I get a collections letter from the city because the parking tickets were never paid, a letter that the car has been towned for expired registration over a year, and i havent had this car since last May.They refused to answer phone calls and deffered me from talking to anyone, refused to file proper paperwork, so I had to pay their parking tickets, fortunately the tow place understood and I was able to handle it with them.They were great, now theyre not unfortunately.

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE, PLEASE CONSIDER OTHER PLACES. They do not finance even though their website says they do. They said their systems were down so they no longer finance? Showed up trying to test drive a 2013 brz and they would not let me test drive it without getting pre-approved for the car first? Never in my life have I been to a car dealership that requires you to get approved with your bank before test driving a car. Why would I potentially hurt my credit just to test drive a car? drove 100+ miles from Corona to see the car. Called them 3 times the day before to ask questions and no one answered? This place is a joke..

Was looking for a 06 Subaru WRX STi. I asked for the history of the car, but they had NO CARFAX so i got my own CARFAX to be sure and they lied about accident history, service history and the number of owners. If a dealer is willing to lie about one thing, who knows what else theyre lying about.Stay Away from this crooked place.

Bought a higher mileage 02 wrx from these guys. They specifically told me that they did the 105k mileage service on it, which included a new timing belt. 10k miles later my timing belt snapped, leading to $6000 dollars worth of engine work over 4 years. The mechanic told me the original timing belt was the one that snapped. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS BUSINESS.

Checked out these guys after reading these reviews and proceeded with caution! Ended up buying a Aspen white STI with a rebuilt Motor, which they provided proof for.....they allowed me to inspect the car, test drive it and carfax it! I have no issues with my Subie, they even recommended to come back if I need help with service or part recommendations! These reviews dont match up with who they are at all.... Sean was a big help... Most helpful dealership I have ever been to. I got a 2004 Mit evo, car is amazing they supplied the Carfax and let me bring my mechanic and everything was serviced like they stated. Cant be anymore happier.

Not a good place to buy a car. Shady people who give you the run around when trying to contact them after buying. Had a lot of problems with car after purachase. Go elsewhere you will regret buying from here.

Lets just start by talking about bate and switch. My husband found a black 2006 Subaru STI online at San Diego Auto Club . It looked great online, pretty much sold it self by looks and mileage. We knew we still needed to check the engine and test drive. So we stop in and talk to a guy named Marcus, Husband test drives it and notices the touch screen radio was replaced with a single DIN radio. When we asked, we were told oh yeah, that thing it didnt even work, it wouldnt turn on. Then said, but if you want it we can put it back on for you. We found torn audiowires in the back seat. The fuse box cover was missing and the front passenger door didnt open from the outside. In the original picture the spoiler had perrin fins. But those to were missing. And the HKS exhaust was replace with an ebay exhaust. Now on to the engine...the ingine intake was missing and was replaced with a Cobb intake. Bolts missing from the intercooler. Intercooler was loose as well as coolant catch can. Radiator was a automatic unit instead of a manual. Coolant residue on engine, indicating a Coolant leak. And some clamps missing from hoses. The spare tire and Jack were also missing. Front bumper was loose. Inner edge wear on the tires. Car was to be sold for 17995. High for blue book ....Bottom line thank God my Husbands a mechanic and knows what to look for. If buying a car with them, I recommend you take a mechanic with you or take it to a dealership for a pre purchase inspection.

Bought an 04 WRX from these people, and after having it for only 3 months, ive had to put tons of money and time into keeping this thing running. If I could go back in time and stop myself from buying this car, Id do it everytime. Dont buy from here!
