I recently purchased a 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Special Edition Indy Pace Car from Matt Blevens at Exotic Cars of Houston (ECH). I enjoy the car which came about 3 weeks ago. Matt and I talked back and forth for several weeks. I had someone check it out and give a report. We struck a deal to transfer the car which they had from a local individual former owner. Matt help me find some possible car carrier folks to consider for the approximate 1300 mile trip to its new home. The delivery company gave me a discount from initial independent quote and also did a great job for me. Matt let me know when the car was loaded to head my way. Even after the sale, after talking to the former owner (arranged at my request by Matt), I noted some other items for the car that the dealership might still have. Matt was kind enough to send them to me in a box at their cost without hesitation. I have wanted one of these cars since they were released 42 years ago right after my wife and I were married. The paint jobs on these cars from factory were nothing to write home about. From seeing or having ones inspected, even the ultra low mile examples (such as at Mecum Kissimmee auction January 2020) often had less than superior paint jobs. The one I got is low mile but has enough miles on it to have been driven to still work. Great paint job for its age, AC works after we charged it with R12 and am anxious to drive it to local shows once we are allowed to do that again after the beer flu limitations we face now. Thank you Matt, especially since selling me a 78 Chevrolet Corvette is not the same for you as selling someone a Lambo or Ferrari.

I do not do a lot of reviews, however, matt and his company deserve one. did a trade on my audi s8 for there panamera turbo, pretty easy transaction, matt made me an offer, i countered, deal done. once i got the car once i had about 300 miles on it the ac compressor imploded, destroying it along with the condensers, about a $2500 repair, i was pretty let down since there was no warranty but this was in no way something they knew was gonna happen, just a fluke. i let matt know about the repair and a couple days later he offered to pay for about 35% or so of the repairs, classy thing to do since 99% of dealers would have said nothing, i would and probably will do business with them again, buy with confidence, matts a straight up good dude

Exotics has a selection to fit everyones budget and taste. If they dont have it, they can get it and at a reasonable price. I really appreciated the knowledge and patience on fitting me in to the right car. I went with a 2008 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. There was a couple of buyers behind me if I opted out! Be careful buying a vehicle from these guys out-of-state. It was a very poor experience overall. We bought a Mercedes G63 from them, paid cash, and had nothing but poor communication and lies after the sale. Several items were not disclosed including dents and engine problems.On top of that the dealer agreed to cover our all-in-price agreed to (taxes, fees, etc) and then backed out of it. I have to take these guys to court now to get a resolution. As you pointed out, in AZ we dont pay tax with private party sales. I mentioned during the sales process that there was one other G63 from a private party that I was considering buying. You can see why I wanted an all-in-price, so that it was a comparable deal.In addition to lying about the taxes and failure to disclose issues with the car... Exotic Cars of Houston isnt even incorporated or have a dealer license in the state of Texas (which they are going to hear about).

Thanks!UPDATE: This dealer damaged and repainted the rear bumper between the time the listing photos were taken and when I received the car. They incorrectly reapplied the bumper emblems. Porsche parts and labor arent cheap, so now Im out $800 to correct the emblems before selling to the next owner. They did the body work at their shop to keep it off of CarFax. This should have been disclosed.
