Like to come here,however when I shot to fast with my pistol I was called on it! 2 minutes later worker comes in to booth next to me and rapid fires AK probably 30 rounds at once!!! Yes....an employee! Who has special rules? You Know Who You Are! Other than that, obey rules!

Easy access and plenty of parking. The staff at the store are very polite and attentive. Wide selection of popular brands pistols and accessories, and ammo. I have been coming here since they first open. The range was acceptable. Range rules are for everyone’s safety, but some experienced shooters may find too restrictive.

Poor after the sale serviceI purchased an H&K pistol from the Cypress location — the second H&K I bought from the store in 9’months. Within two months I had warranty repair issues with the firearm and I was told by a range official that the gun was not safe and needed to be serviced by H&K. I attempted to contact H&K directly and received no response. So I looked on the H&K website for directions on what to do. They said that the store where the firearm was purchased could send the weapon in to them but when I calledSG&A I was told by two managers that they do not handle any kinda of warranty issues like that and I basically had to keep trying to contact manufacture. Not sure who I am more disappointed with - H&K (i own three) or Spring Guns And Ammo.

Always friendly, helpful and really show appreciation for your business. The staff is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things.

My LTC instructor Chris was amazing. Really knowledgeable and funny. The folks here are nice and know a lot about different types of firearms.

I called and told them exactly what I was looking for and they didn’t hesitate to go look in the back and make sure it was there before I spent time driving out to them. They had it, so I said I’ll be there in 15 minutes to buy it. When I arrived they had everything ready to go for me. Everything went smooth with the purchase and then the range followed suit. My phone ended up dying and the range master offered to charge my phone while I shot my new gun. Great experience and I will definitely be back.

I brought my mom to take a 1 hr. training lesson with Alejandra, who is amazing, she explained how to handle a gun, safety tips, which gun is better for her and how to shoot.My mom was afraid of guns, this was the first time she took a gun and Alejandra gave her confidence.We will back again to practice, at least once a week.Thank you Alejandra and all the staff.

SG&A is my favorite place to shoot. They have great customer service. Whenever I have family visiting from out of town this is a favorite place to go. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I emailed them about a specific gun and I was impressed with how quickly they responded to my question and helped me out. I highly recommend this place.

Wide range of products to choose from. Ammunition is in short supply no matter where you search these days. Even a lot of the firearms are getting hard to come by as well. Knowledgeable folks are here ready to help you with anything you need. Friendly faces and helpful.

Its a useless range if they dont allow steel case. Steel case is in common use not to mention sometimes the only available ammo. It is functionally the same as brass. The only downside is they cant collect the steel to resell it for loads of cash like brass. Any other reason they site is a bold face lie.

This is not my local gun shop. I visit whenever I’m in town and the staff are friendly. But it seems this shop is seriously price gouging on ammo. They’re charging 46.99 a box of 50 9mm fmj. My local shop for the same ammo charges 20 a box currently. It could be a mechanism to keep ammo on the shelf but the prices are ridiculous

Extremely well-versed and experienced instructors and staff. Im a regular at two of their three ranges, and everyone has been friendly and eager to help educate me when I need, but not pushy when I dont. The membership is worth it -- really easy to come in and shoot. The Gold membership is awesome...you get to try a ton of different weapons at no additional charge, which helps a newer shooter like me not only get comfortable, but decide which manufacturers and calibers feel the best. Great place.

I just took a safety course with Alejandra Viteri at Spring Guns & Ammo at their Spring Cypress location and had an excellent experience. Alex spent time initially making sure I was familiar with the basics of the gun itself. She has a very methodical approach to getting you comfortable before you ever take your first shot. For someone like me who had zero experience I found her to be very patient and encouraging. She also had me practice different real-life scenarios. I would definitely refer her for lessons and will be spreading the word. I plan to get my LTC through her as well.

Well they denied my brother service for the simple fact he accused us of criminal activity...I didnt think it was against the law to bring customers family etc...I not be buying firearms from this place no more. Spent alot of money here and sent alot of my friends family here all to be denied because of false accusations....will be calling corporate and letting them know asap.

We had a really great personalized lesson with Todd here. We wanted a “Texas experience” for two people who had never handled guns before.I went into the lesson feeling nervous, but he put my mind at ease. He showed us exactly how to handle guns in a safe way. In the range, he made sure we had fun by bringing a big variety of guns.I would definitely recommend asking for him if you are a beginner looking for a lesson!

Great place to go friendly and helpful service

If you are new to guns and live in the area then Spring Guns & Ammo is a conversation starter. Go to one of their locations and before you get out of your car think. Am I going to have a bad time here? And everytime they will disappoint you. Rude unmotivated people behind the counter. They hate doing their job, and its consistently everytime. I have made plenty of friends from us talking how bad the people are here. Its practically a joke if your from the area. But people are forced to come here because they have a very wide selection of firearms and accessories. They know they can get away with it.

Awesome range. A little outdated but it has an old school type feel to it. 5 stars for selection and everything else but the lanes or range section was too hot. Maybe it was just while I was there but it seemed like my wife and I were both starting to sweat just being in the lanes area

It was my first experience in a gun range, took one hour lesson with Alejandra and she was great. I had no previous experience and she taught me everything I needed to feel pretty confident going on my own next time. Definitively I am going back there again and would recommend Alejandra for everyone who needs an instructor.

Place is ok to shop around. They dont have much variety of Smith and Wesson and Glock 19 mm guns but most of the stores are like this these days. Will update

Not selling 9mm ammo to the public, have to buy a gun or use the range, which would be fine if they would sell me more then 1 box for range use, how am I suppose to pay for an hour of range time when I cant buy more then 1 box? Just doesnt make sense to me. Disappointed a drove so far out on a recommendation. I just want to be able to go to a range and have fun.

This place is awesome. The range masters are very friendly, fair and professional. When I brought my boy there to shoot for the first time, they were tremendously good to him and I, and provided some good ideas and knowledge for our first lesson. Additionally, I went into see the gunsmiths for the first time with a law enforcement duty weapon that was out of service. Neil was fast, knowledgeable and fixed my situation in a second - for free! He just wanted to see it up and running again. This place values customers and it has shown for years.

Great staff!Highly knowledgeable and eager to inform. In just a 5 minute conversation Walt opened my eyes to some very useful tips and challenges of being an armed self defender. Cant recommend this range enough!

Love this place!

I live in the area and I have Been to this gun store on more than one occasion. Most of the time just window shopping but I have picked up a couple of guns from there and been very happy. The range is clean and they’re not too terribly uptight about things. The owner is a very cool guy more than one occasion he is solve the problem for me that he did not have to do. For example there was an instance where I bought a custom trigger for my rifle online. I made the mistake of ordering it with the wrong pin size. Coincidentally one day while going to Spring guns he happen to have the exact same trigger in the correct size I needed. Well I just happen to have that wrong size trigger in my truck that day. I explained to him the situation thinking he was going to tell me no. Quite the opposite happened he was more than happy to take it in trade it in for the one I needed. He did not have to do that he had no obligation to me. But he did solve a very big problem for me. I will be a customer for life I strongly recommend these guys.

Primary Arms has better prices; they are asking for $530 for a M&P Shield 2.0 while theyre $390 at Primary. Also, a majority of the employees were not wearing face coverings although the governor made it mandatory. I made a report because its very irresponsible.

This is place is one of those hidden Gems! Lot of gun stores in Houston not one has made me feel like this one. I had been wanting to trade my pistol in for a while, did just that and could not have chosen a better place!Staff really knows their stuff! Great selection, plus if they dont have it they can order it with ease. Picked up a really nice piece and the price was really a no brainer. Staff like Conner who made me feel comfortable with my purchase and was not pushy. Ended up picking a few more accessories for my new firearm.For sure will purchase more from them in the near future! Absolutely terrible experience I had the other day. SGA has been the ONLY shooting range Ive ever regulared over the years and as of this month I will never be returning. Since I was 18 I have been coming with adults under the age of 21 and have been shooting handguns perfectly fine as we own them legally. I even signed up for a membership as it would saved me money due to the frequency of me going there. However, early in February I made the 30 minute drive out there with a friend of mine who is 20 (I am 21 now) and we were denied service because she didnt havent a parent with her. I do not know if this is new policy or if the previous policy was simply not enforced but I have cancelled my membership due to the fact that 90% of the time I go to SGA I have an unaccompanied 18-20 year old with me. When I inquired about the change of policy or what would allow us to shoot there that day, the range officer was quite rude in his reply. So, I left and went to another range where we were welcomed with open arms. Again, will NOT be coming back! Excellent class, trainers, I enjoyed every minute of the LTC class

Were all a little more stressed in 2020, and I think we need to guard against the Grumpy Gus in all of us. There are so many negative reviews on here, I wanted to share a positive one.Ive always found the employees helpful and willing to engage in conversation. When I admit ignorance about a certain type of gun, Ive always had two or three employees ready to offer opinions and direction (depending on how busy the store is, of course). Before I purchased my last gun there, I visited a couple of times and made it clear I was just looking. The guys there were still interested in showing off their inventory. Very friendly bunch. Ive emailed the store managers with questions and they also try to help as much as they can with whatever I need.

I went to SGA to buy an AK but the experience was better than I was expecting. Staff was super helpful, the paperwork was fast and I even scored a deal on a case. I DEFINITELY recommend others to purchase their next weapon through here. I know I will definitely go back to buy my next weapon.

I just took my one on one with Alejandra yesterday she was AMAZING I was nervous and her personality made me feel comfortable and she she was also patient. I went in not knowing how to handle a gun and even though I need much more practice I feel comfortable going in and practicing what she taught me on my own. I’m definitely recommending her to my friends and family.

I called them earlier in the day and they said I could come pick up the gun. When I arrived I showed the gentleman my receipt and he said “okay I’ll call you”. I then said “oh no, I’m here pick it up. You’re supposed to go get it and hand it to me.” He said “okay”. I waited for a little while then he and another manager came and confronted me and said that because I had a bad attitude they were just going to refund my money. After some discussion the manager said that he didn’t say he would me call me. He said that he asked me if someone had called. I told him that I misunderstood and then I apologized, but they wouldn’t have it and just refunded my money. I went down the street to Texas Tactical they had something better. Spring Guns is the ones with the “we don’t need your business” attitude.

Had a wonderful experience here. The staff was professional and informative. I was able to purchase my guns and ammo, even take a quick class on using the guns, and shoot at the range.

The staff here is condescending and rude. Although my experience has been uneventful, I have seen range officers and floor staff treat others with the utmost disrespect on more than one occasion.

I has never came into contact with a gun before. My friend found Alejandra to teach me. The staff were friendly.. still felt nervous since it was my first time. Alejandra eased me slowly into it. Very patient and extremely funny lady. There was never a dull moment at all. Explained to me about the mechanics of a gun, shooting techniques and different scenarios all in an hour. I am so ready to go back again.

This is a fantastic to go for pretty much any and all of your gun sales, range time, specialized training, and civilian certifications. The employees are very knowledgeable and up to date on anything firearm related and all of the current regulations/laws. Also, the ranges and the store are always very well maintained. If you are new to the firearm community or not, I highly recommend this place!

My wife and I stumbled on the Woodlands facility about two weeks ago. We were VERY impressed! The staff is very friendly and professional. The range is fantastic. We became members. I go to SGA every chance I get. They have a large selection of weapons. I know I will be buying from them in the future.The range is state of the art. It does not get any better than that. The range safety officers are very professional and constantly monitor all activities to ensure everyone has a good time and most importantly that range operations are safe.I have read a bunch of the comments the majority of them positive with just a few negative. I am retired U.S. Air Force, and my wife was 19 years in the Army as a nurse. Both of us suspect that the negative comments came from people who were committing unsafe acts and got pissed off.For anybody who reads this post and is considering getting into guns, it is a lot of fun. Spring Guns & Ammo a local gun range/community friendly to newcomersMe and my son purchased 3 firearms having beginner skills on the firearms we purchased I researched local gun ranges for us to practice.I selected Spring Guns & Ammo. It was a wonderful experience. When we arrived, a young man named Ryan was leaving as we were walking in the parking lot, he held the door, asked what brings us in, showed us how to register before leaving. Walt was a very experienced firearms specialist gave us instructions on safety, safety pointers and the correct use of or firearms, my sons AR was having an issue when firing it would jam and he fixed it in 2 seconds. There was another long-time shooter on the range named Terry and he gave us useful advice and tips.There may be many local gun ranges but to find a gun range community that welcomes everyone is rare. I am proud to say me, and my son are now a part of the Spring Guns & Ammo Community.

Im a first time shooter, and brandon helped me feel at ease. everyone there was so welcoming and inviting. i def will be going back for more classes. And the cute danty lady with the purple hair. i forgot her name.

Ammo here is really good price and rental deals are cheap. Staff is super freindly and Range officer Walt is the best. 1st day there he gave me pointers on how to properly operate in the range with safety and how to load my pistol /AR. Did not even charge a dime for advice. Love it here.. I try to go every weekend :)

May want to update hours. Youre said they were open until 730 so I drove all the way over and arrive at 630 to be told that the ranges close at 630(Range was filled with people) That sure would have been good info to know. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Wint be returning with my business.

Love it...Went to SGA for basic hand gun training.and now i try to go there on regular basis to improve my skill. I love the range.. Love the privacy with out anyone commenting on ur skill...The ladies working on the range check in are mostly very nice.. With 5 visit.. I only found 1 that abit not friendly.The sales side..cant really comment.. Didnt buy anything from them... But when,asked they are helpful and show interest in me.Will probably sign up with SGA for their CHL class too.

Ive been to their range plenty of times. The ventilation is good, but could be better. The range prices are okay. Ive used the gun smith service as well. They did a good job and the price was reasonable.

Very nice place to go for target practice or look at guns. I went to the pistol range for a few hours with a large group and it was very enjoyable. There was a reasonable amount of space for all of us and the staff was very good at getting us trained and getting everyone weapons and ammo. Most importantly the staff monitoring you while you shoot are very attentive and knowledgeable about weapons and how to keep you safe.

This location has a VERY helpful, patient, and knowledgeable staff. After taking their 2-hour Learn to Shoot course (worth EVERY penny spent), I returned to make some additional purchases. Two gentleman assisted me and ensured I made the best and most educated decision for my purposes. They have a great team! A special thank you to Mark Winder. Five star service all the way!!!

Great experience! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We got there about an hour before they closed and were still able to enjoy without any pressure. The staff took care of us and guided us all the way so we could get the most of it. The location is good as well as the range areas. So many guns and options to try and have fun. Definitely coming back son!

One of, if not the best gun shop experiences Ive had. The whole staff was attentive and friendly. Especially Jimmy, who was great in helping me deal with some slightly complex NFA item transfers. I literally could not have asked for better service. Very highly recommend, especially if you are in the market for a suppressor or need other NFA assistance.

Great customer service and experience!!! My wife and I arent from the area we stopped in inquiring about an ad we saw on Groupon. One of the gentlemen (cant remember his name) offered us a better deal than the one we mentioned. Every question we had was answered without hesitation and with patients (extremely important since it was our first time at an indoor range). First time at a gun range with no experience and the lovely gent behind the counter suggested Brandon Campbell to do a lesson with me which I rang and he was there within minutes to do an hour lesson which was very detailed and fun. Would be back again!

I always enjoy going here. They have a good selection of guns and everything else u need. I like the shooting range because they always have pretty girls working the counter. They give u however many targets u need, and I cant say the same about other shooting ranges. I brought my friend who has special needs but is legit when it comes to the firing and safety of weapons. He cant fill out the form but he can put rounds on target. They never made an issue about it and I really appreciate that

Brandon Campbell was an amazing LTC instructor! He made material that could be dry and boring into a fun, practical, and informative experience. Definitely plan to get further training with him in the future.

Great knowledgable staff. Definitely recommended them for LTC class which was easy, simple, and moderately entertaining. The shoot range was clean and safe. I didn’t give 5 stars because I wanted to trade in a newer gun for credit towards another and they weren’t willing to work with me on any level... which is their prerogative. They are priced a little higher than the department stores but they make up for that in experience. I will definitely come back again.

First time there just used the shooting range. Folks were very friendly, explained all rules and layout. Will be going back.also bought 1000 rounds of 9mm. same price as cheaper than dirt and no shipping fees.

Great range with really friendly staff. Yesterday it was a bit busy so we had to wait for a lane (not surprised), but the girl at the desk was very apologetic (very surprised). Its nice to know there is a range that cares about whether their customers are happy. Shop clerk who visited with me to pass the time was very knowledgeable. SGA is awesome. The guys/gals are all very knowledgeable and inventory is (usually) very well stocked. They have stuff you don’t find everywhere and are dealers for STI, Wilson Combat, CMMG, CZ, F1 and more. They can special order almost anything and prices are consistent with other shops. The ranges are pretty good and they carry lots of accessories, optics, mounts etc. They offer LTC classes and have OEM special events. Definitely check them out.

I go in here about once a month just to look around. They have never had a problem with me just looking. Always willing to let me hold and fondle the firearms. I have purchased a couple guns and plenty of accessories and ammo here. Never had a bad experience. I havent tried the range as I prefer outdoor ranges.

I took the LTC class that SGA offers. The instructor, Chuck, was very knowledgeable and taught our group all the essentials about handling and operating a firearm. Would recommend this class to everyone. Ive also been to their ranges a couple times, its very well kept and range fees are well priced.

Took LTC class here, and it was awesome! The instructor was very knowledgeable and taught a lot about real life situations, not just textbook not really relevant stuff. You still learn the textbook stuff, but also the more important day to day things you need to know. The range here is awesome as well. The people were very nice and knew their stuff. I will definitely be back here!

Great local place to go shooting! They have guns you can try - various models etc. Good selection of guns to purchase also! We love going during gheday when there arent many people there! Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Concealed classes and more are offered.

Incredibly impressed. Came in here looking for a specific pistol and found exactly what I wanted at a better than expected price. Fantastic customer service and they got me set up with everything I needed. Will be a repeat customer and looking forward to going back to the gun range to practice with my new .380.

These guys are always very helpful when I have questions on knives and firearms. They have the best prices on knives I have found in the Houston area, much better than any place online. If they are really busy, you may wait a while for somebody to help you, but youll find that at any place doing a lot of business. All around great place!

Had a very bad experience this past weekend. I dont think Ross have the right job. The two ladies were very friendly and helpful. Ross confronted me twice over a simple, careless, unintended mistake. First when I had just arrived at my booth! If the same scenario were to occur with someone in a bad mindset, it could have turned deadly! I hope and pray that day will never happen! Ross, if you read this review, please be more considerate and kind toward your customers before something really bad happens, especially with those two nice gals working there. If I had the time, I would call the owner and address this. I truly hope Ross learn to tone down his rhetoric! It is a dangerous behaviour around guns!

Had a lower receiver sent here. Easy and fast FFL transfer. Employees there were very nice and helpful. Looking forward to doing more business with these guys.

First time was good. Second time when I needed to return an item the older guy was extremely rude to me. He wouldnt let me return the item and wouldnt give me my money back even though I had the plastic package it came in. He tried to sell me scope rings for a $172 dollars. Ha yea right! and then tried to tell me my scope was off centered and its not. If you like bad service and high prices this is your garden of Eden! I will NOT be coming here ever again..... the other people were nice, especially the silencer rep. I guess the old man running the place just cant respect his customers. Not sure what the deal is. If he was gone I bet it would run smoother and the prices would drop.

Walked into their location in The Woodlands this past Saturday (10/5) just to look and ended up buying my wifes first handgun complete with Viridian Laser/Light. Mark and Nikki were very professional and attentive to my wifes needs. They gave us the information on introductory classes and even recommended two types of ammunition (one for the range and one for the bad guys). But heres where it got even better.....My wife contacted one of the recommended instructors the same day to set up a one-on-one class on safe weapons handling. She called Alejandra and not only did she agree to be her instructor, she also set up the class on THE SAME DAY!! Just hours later!! ON a Saturday afternoon!Im a 10 year Army Veteran (Desert Shield/Storm) and can handle a weapon very well. But my wife had never fired a weapon of any kind much less a 9mm semi-automatic pistol. Alejandra immediately put my wife and myself at ease with her professionalism, vast knowledge, but above all else....her enormous amount of patience with my wife. She was concise, yet very informative. We were completely impressed with the vast amount of knowledge Alejandra was able to impart in a simple one hour lesson. And the actual firing of the weapon?? My wife was making 3 inch diameter groups at three yards with OPEN SIGHTS after only firing five rounds!! Thanks to Alejandra and her demeanor, we have already decided to buy a SECOND pistol for myself from Spring Guns and Ammo. Furthermore, we are definitely going to take the CCL class. We will be seeing Alejandra again in the not too distant future

Great customer service. They go the extra mile to help you spec your toys. Good prices. Thy are not looking for the one time sale, but rather the long term relationships with their customers. I highly recommend them.

Dont waste your time or money at this place. The children that work behind the counter dont have the faintest idea of what proper customer service is. They are rude and abrupt. I decided to give them another try and called to speak with someone about the range. I spoke with a young man, who didnt bother to give me his name. I told him that I had a .357 revolver and would like to shoot some steel case rounds. He said, We dont allow steel case rounds. I explained to him that it was a revolver and that I would be happy to bag the rounds after use. Like a robot he says, We dont allow steel case rounds. That seems to be the extent of his vocabulary. I guess they dont want any steel mixing with the brass that they either bag and sell or reload and sell. I will definitely find another place to go even if I have to drive a little further.

I did a safety and shooting lesson with Alejandra, and she was amazing! I was very nervous because I had never even held a gun before, but she was so understanding and patient. Alejandra not only covers all the Information, but she gives you real life scenarios and extra tips that I know I would have never even thought of. I’m sure this sounds silly, but I left there feeling stronger than when I arrived.
