Excellent service!! Highly recommend!! The trim moldings on my Honda Odyssey came loose and I ordered replacements through Don Wessel. Before install they realized it required a special adhesive they didn’t have in stock, so they sent me over to Carsten’s. Carsten’s got me in quickly and installed the windshield moldings in 30 minutes! Plus, they didn’t charge me for the install! What?!? Wow! Incredible service that went above and beyond expectations! I’ll be using Carsten Auto Glass for all my auto glass needs from here on out!

Never had to replace windshield before but I did my research. It turned out this is the best place to get it done at. Very easy to talk with they have only one job so they stay focus on getting it done. They replace my windshield perfectly and fast. Very reasonable price. I would definitely go back to them to get a new windshield.

Local thieves busted out my window. I was referred to them by my main mechanic shop. I brought my own window to Carstens to have installed. The folks there called me within 15 minutes and let me know the window wasnt compatible (I had taken another business word for it). I came right over and they showed me how far off it was. The guy in the shop was very helpful in showing me how to install one myself if I was going to do it, and left the door panel off at my request. The office manager decided to only charge me a 1/3 of the original fee and offered to credit that toward a future install if I dont end up doing it myself. I thought that was perfect reasoning. I fully intended on paying for their time thus far, but to charge the full amount may have been irrational. They were reasonable and personable. (as a side note, I dont think Im going to end up being able to get another window, so chances are, Ill be giving them my business on a full replacement) Id recommend them for anyone.

Called and made an appointment for later that afternoon, had me fixed and out on the road in under 30 minutes. They even moved my oil change sticker to the new windshield which was a pleasant surprise as Ive never had that done before. Very friendly service

I had a windshield in my truck replaced and they did a fantastic job. Then after a couple of months I had discovered an imperfection in the glass. They came out again and replaced the glass no questions asked and free of charge. Best glass company in town.

My son is a student at MSU and had the glass broken in his sunroof. I was 2 hours away and called Carsten Auto Glass first thing in the morning and spoke with Paul. He was very helpful and assured me he would take care of my son. After assessing the damage to the sunroof, he quickly called me back. He was able to research that the sunroof was under recall and that most likely it would be repaired for free if we called the company to file a claim. He also explained that Carsten was not an authorized dealer to perform the work and I would need to take the car to another company for the repair. Paul exhibited excellent customer service when he let me know about the recall and didnt just charge me $600 for the new glass. He also referred me to the proper repair shop without hesitation. There was no way I would have ever found out about the recall on my own. I thank him for his honestly and professionalism. I dont live in Springfield, but if I did I would use Carsten again without reservation.

The absolute WORST windshield nick repair I have ever seen. Every other time Ive gotten one done you cant even see where the nick was. It is more visible now than when I brought it in.

If your a Broncos fan and happen to be wearing a Broncos clothing, they treat you poorly and jokingly tell you it will cost you more unless you take off the hat. I went to Safelite the same day, which is a Colorado based company and after telling them about it, not only were they friendly (before and after knowing), they also did the simple quick fix complimentary.I would never recommend doing business with Carsten. They are bigoted and bias. And to tell me they wouldnt do business with me until i took off my hat. Well I still wear my Broncos hat LOUD and PROUD.

Carstens is amazing I made the mistake of trying to use safelite. But they saved me. I went to safe lite and they first smoked my clutch, then took my glass out and then claimed they couldnt put a new one in because of rust which was almost non existent. I took it straight from safe lite to Carstens and they were amazing. They pulled it in the shop on the spot no appointment(and had no problem shifting the truck). They were friendly and quick to help. They were able install my windshield in under an hour. Great local business!!!! I would give ten stars if given the option.

I could write a “horror” book on the miserable experience at Carstens. They bring new meaning to the words “crude, rude and incompetent”. Hang in there with me, this will take a bit to explain.I brought my cherished truck into their Glenstone location to have a simple windshield replacement. I had just got my truck back from a body repair shop, having the hood and all front end facing surfaces re-painted from rock chips and scratches. They told me not to wash or wax the truck for 30 days in order to let the paint cure.When I left my truck off, I asked them to pay special attention to the new paint. When I picked the truck up as they were closing, it soon began to rain. I turned on the windshield wipers and heard a loud “bang”, then the passenger side windshield wiper flew off and hit the ground, while the steel wiper blade arm, moving back and forth over the new windshield, began to scratch the glass. Horrified, I called back to Carstens, but they were closed. Still raining, I drove my disabled truck to an auto supply store and bought a new windshield wiper and had it installed (cost: $20.53). My second horrific discovery occurred when I returned home, and parked my car in the garage, where I had decent lighting. There, I discovered black tar-like adhesive and fingerprints all around the windshield (A-pillars, roof and hood) on my new white paint!!When I called early the next morning, I found out that the absentee owner is in Kansas City, and ended up talking to the “Manager”. Bad, Bad mistake. He was immediately adversarial and suggested that the broken windshield wiper blade was a “coincidence” and furthermore, if I would just drive my truck 100 miles back to their location, they would use “SOLVENTS” to remove all of the black tar glue residue and fingerprints off of my new fresh white paint (Remember, I told them that it had just been painted and that the paint was not totally cured).Totall unsatisfied with the “Manager’s” attitude, I called and spoke to the absentee owner in Kansas City, who was somewhat professional, but not very helpful (He offered no apology or solution). After multiple heated phone calls with the “manager”, and literally hours of arguing, the manager finally agreed to talk to the employee who worked on my truck. He admitted that he broke my windshield wiper blade, and positioned the arm onto the blade so it wouldn’t be noticed. He said that he “FORGOT” to tell anyone about it. As far as the black tar fingerprints and droppings . . . . . . . . You guessed it, he said that he also ‘FORGOT’ to clean it up the mess.Again, after days of phone calls back and forth, and after several screaming contests associated with those calls, the generous manager agreed to pay for the windshield wiper blade and an extra $20 compensation for me to remove the tar. (I scrubbed with a magic eraser and soap & water ‘NO HARSH SOLVENTS” for several hours.) As a side note, the manager told me in so many words, that no matter what kind of review I give them, they’ve been around so long that it won’t effect their business in the least. Obviously I will never, ever bring any more windshields to Carstens. People make mistakes, but what makes a company reputable is how they handle mistakes. Their manager has absolutely NO people skills. All I wanted was a chipped windhshield replaced. I didn’t want or need all of the drama, damage to my truck and boatload of disrespect and inconvenience that I received.

They cost more than some places, but they were able to get me in that day and were FAST!

They are the best!! Ive had a windshield replaced, the back glass on a Tahoe and a two sunroofs installed (different cars).

Had my windshield replaced on 7-26-16 when I arrived home I noticed some residue marks that I began to remove wich was not a big deal they removed verry easily. When I got to the passenger side of the vehicle I noticed a scratch about a inch and a half long that was all the way threw the paint to the metal of truck when I called they ask to bring it back when they looked at it they said they didnt know how that could have happened and all they can do is get some touch up paint and cover it. My review is based on that a 400.00 dollar windshield later and now my 2016 truck has a scratch that they will cover up and pay the 20.00 for the touch up paint but nothing else was offered no money back nothing but touch up paint and seemed like they didnt want to admit it was their fault anyways. On closing I will just end and say I would not recommend or get service from here agin

I called a friend in Springfield and he recommended Carstens. I called them immediately and Larry answered the phone. This guy could not have been better...maybe the best customer service I have EVER received from a service provider to a guy like me that was from out of town. He was genuine and very honest. He jumped right on the problem and even though the glass I needed was not to be found in Springfield, he found one in KC and was having it delivered overnight. I would highly recommend Carstens to anyone reading this review.
