Slumberland Furniture store had an exceptional variety of furniture to choose from. My husband and I spent the entire day shopping for furniture. Slumberland had the most gorgeous selections. Cathi exceeded our expectations of a sales associate and provided excellent service. She was personable and we appreciate all of her assistance! We would highly recommend Slumberland, but more importantly Cathi!!!!

Staff was very attentive but spread pretty thin. Prices seemed reasonable but the delivery delays are hard to deal with. I would have been agreeable to a down payment but decided to go with full financing so my money wouldn’t be tied up for that period of time. Hopefully they can deliver quicker.

After waiting 9 months for our furniture to come in, it was sliced by the delivery guys when taking it out of the packaging. When calling the store and speaking to Michelle, I was told you still have a couch to sit on. This is so incredibly unacceptable with the only option given to us being 1) return it and be left with no furniture 2) send out a tech to maybe fix it 3) wait ANOTHER 9 MONTHS for it to be replaced. There were absolutely no offers of discounts or accountability from either the store or corporate.

Slumberland and my sales person, Seth, made Shopping for furniture a great experience. First, Seth was very knowledgeable about all the product he showed us. He was attentive but low pressure. He not only knew the furniture but knew about the companies that made them. Definitely ask for him if you go to Slumberland. Second, I like how Slumberland has the low price guarantee and they have their prices set at the manufacturers lowest allowable price. You know your are getting the best deal in town on that particular piece of furniture which saves lots of time comparison shopping. Great experience for something that is not my favorite thing to do, shop.

My husband and I needed a new bed after we fell in love with a mattress on our honeymoon that made us realize how much we hated the one we had. Cathi took the time to walk us through several options and dealt with my indecisiveness with grace and a smile. She was real and personal through the whole experience. 10/10 will shop with her again.

Loved the buying experience, the only problem I had was with the manager as he was kind of snarky. The manager kept trying to tell us we had to buy the whole set of furniture because he didnt want to deal with separating it. All we needed was the chair and couch. Mind you I ordered a separate recliner from them as well so it is not like he was losing any money. I even told him we dont have the space and he said You are only spending an extra $50.00 if you get the loveseat with it, so you can sell it or give it to someone Well $50 may not be much to him, but it is to others so why waste the money? Not to mention I just told him we dont have the space. However, our salesman Tim H. Was amazing! He went above and beyond to help us. Many times you go to a furniture store and they hound you like car salesmen. Tim on the other hand gave us our space and even helped us color coordinate. Tim also offered to text me when the recliner I ordered comes in (on back order) which I thought was very nice of him. Besides his pushy, rude manager Tim is a fabulous person and would do business with him again!

The manager of the Springfield, IL store is a real asset to Slumberland. We had purchased a chair in 2019 that had developed significant problems, not all of which were the the chairs deficiency. Nothing was covered by Lazy Boy, not an unusual occurrence for Lazy Boy, however the manager worked with us to to explore our options. We did buy a new chair, not a Lazy Boy, and the store did give us a small credit towards the new chair.

Loved our shopping experience. Tim was very pleasant to work with. No pressuring which I appreciate. We will be back and will recommend.

Our salesman was Chris and he was extremely helpful and patient. He was able to answer all the questions we had, demonstrating knowledge of the store’s products. We never felt pressured by Chris and he allowed us to take our time to make our final selections.

Product is great, help in the store was great, easy paying. BUT, they put my order under my friends name, phone number, and address because we bought at the same time. So, when I called to check on the status of my order, it couldnt be found for the longest time. We were going to have them delivered at the same time because we live a block apart. Slumberland never called me to let me know an estimated delivery date or arrival date at the store. I called 3x, expecting a call back after the associate checked with a warehouse manager, and never got a call back. The 3rd call, the associate told me my couch was coming from the mattoon location. I then advised him that mattoon was actually closer to me, so they could deliver it from there. But, he switched it to pick up so that it would go to Springfield. The 4th time I called and spoke to someone, I didnt get a call back until 7pm where they then told me it would be about another month before I would get my delivery. I was then told that since my friend had already picked up hers, rather than have it delivered, that the next time they would be in my area would be mid September, mind you, I ordered this couch about July 12th. Luckily, I had a friend who was able to pick up the couch for me about mid August. I have yet to see of my delivery fee was reimbursed. Over all, very frustrated and unhappy with the service after the sale was executed.

The friendliness, knowledge, and honesty were greatly appreciated in these difficult times we now live in. I can’t imagine shopping for furniture anywhere else.

Went into slumberland and after looking at beds for a few minutes we were greeted and asked if we needed any help or had any questions regarding the beds we were looking at. Tim was super helpful and knowledgeable but didn’t push anything on us. We visited several stores that sell La-Z-Boy furniture which was what we wanted to buy. All had the same models. All had some fabric samples. But we couldnt find a fabric we were satisfied with. At Slumberland, Cathi started looking on the computer, showing us different fabrics on recliners so we could see how they looked. She found one we had not seen in the stores, ordered a sample of it and two other fabrics. We chose the first sample and ordered our new furniture. Cathi was a great help and made a difference in helping us find something we liked.

Walked in Denver mattress, no one waited on us, however the sales people did look at us as if we had the plague, so we left. Five minutes later in the Slumberland store the salesman (Seth W.) met us at the door and asked if he could help, 20 minutes later we bought a bed and mattress .

So SO happy with our purchase and experience today. When we walked in, we thought it would be exponentially out of our price range, however, they cater to all budgets, and have tons of options. We found a beautiful set that was the best deal we had not only found in our area, but even online. We have been searching for weeks for the right price, look, and comfort in a sofa/set/sectional. We are a younger couple, so didn’t have thousands to spend on something like that. Kathy helped us today, and was an absolute treat to work with. The workers there are not pushy, obnoxious, or careless. They seem to legitimately love their jobs and helping people like me and my boyfriend out. We will definitely continue giving them our business!

Updated 10-25-20: originally I gave the store 3 stars from my first experience, which was not horrible, but not great. The item was a great value. However sales associates were a nightmare. 3 yrs later i go in for the second time, hoping for better experience. I proceeded to find the pieces (entire bedroom set and entire living room set) I like. So I try to get help placing order. I literally stopped 2 sales people and said I just need to order, already know what I want. (Would have been easiest commission ever!) I get told it would be a moment. No biggie, they were busy. I wait almost an hour. Within this time I see 4 couples come in and get pounced on by sales person. Hello! I am still patiently waiting. So I see a salesman just walking around aimlessly. Tall, older gentleman (with a ponytail that is awful). He proceeds to make eye contact with me, then sees a couple walk in... yep he turned and bee lined to them. I guess single customers dont give off the i am going to spend quite a bit of money vibe. Well, guess you dont need my money so I will gladly go someplace else.
