Chris answered our questions, and kept helpful - never overbearing contact with us during the process. John, the Financial Manager provided the same service. I am always greeted immediately and very warmly as soon as I arrive at Honda and I am greeted by my name. If I choose to go somewhere else while my car is being serviced, I am notified immediately when the job is done. I have never had a bad experience with them.

Purchased van 5 months ago. Questioned transmission fluid at time of purchased. They said it was fine. Took in for routine service and imagine - we need $400 transmission fluid. Not sure if daily lies with service or sales but they should function as one.

Paul Gary in sales and Amanda in service department really went out of their way to answer questions and provide what we felt as good, no excellent, help and knew the answers we needed. Also the financial department gentleman was soft spoken and did not push with the different options available. We went to two different dealerships and their stock was almost nil because of the pandemic. Hondas lot was full and they had a truck come in the night before and Paul offered to get an Accord from that delivery because it had more bells and whistles. I like the bells and whistles! Plastic still on the interior and had the silver exterior and leather seats with all the safety features. My husband knows I need those safety features! Between Paul and Amanda my visits to Honda have been flawless. Nice area to wait along with my preferred Coke products, freshly made popcorn as well as other snacks to watch TV.Thank you Honda! Super shady. We negotiated to purchase a vehicle, got thru the final stages and wired the entire amount. AFTER the purchase we were told by the rep there was a”chip missing” and we were unable to have the vehicle. he was unwilling to negotiate for a similar vehicle that cost a couple hundred more even though the entire cost was thousands. SHADY . I wonder if they had sold the vehicle already. I Would NOT recommend. Am currently awaiting full return of the purchase but the time and mental energy spent at this place is NOT worth it

Service Advisor was very friendly and helpful, however the technician did leave two bolts in the car that were most likely from the part they replaced due to the recall. Over all they performed the recall service quickly after I had to call multiple times to check on the availability of the part that was recalled.

After the catalytic converter was repaired at the Honda dealership, the car ran beautifully for several days. But right before I had to leave on a weeklong trip to Minneapolis, the check engine light came on again. I didn’t have time to take it into the Honda dealership again so I am currently driving around the Twin Cities with the engine light on. This concerns me. I will bring it into Honda when I return home..

I have been buying Honda’s for over 35 years from this dealership. Always a good experience and sales and service personnel are fantastic. Just bought a new car and they didn’t have exactly what I wanted on the lot, as inventory is coming in very slow, so they found me exactly what I wanted nearby. I love my Hondas!! This purchase was through Chris Rude and he was great. Very personable, professional and helpful. Obviously I will be back to this one-stop dealership.

Almost 2 hours just for an oil change. I cant wait til I no longer have my Honda vehicle with this warranty that requires oil changes to be done there or warranty voided. Just for that reason alone I will never buy another Honda vehicle. Takes this long almost every time. The one good thing is that tge staff is friendly. Only reason I gave 2 stars.

The service department is horrible. I recently made an appointment for an oil change. Stayed and waited while they worked on my car. They call on the overhead speaker and announce one name, not a first and last name, when a vehicle is ready. So they called my first name, which also happened to be another customer’s last name. No way I could have known that. No one else got up so I went to the service desk, paid, and was told my vehicle would be outside in the lot. As I was outside looking the woman who checked me out came running out after me and said there was a mistake it wasn’t my car but someone else’s that was ready. She refunded my money and asked for the car key back. She hadn’t given me one, I assumed it would be in the car. I told her she hadn’t given me one and she argued with me a bit. I was asked to go back into the showroom and wait for my vehicle and the lady employee came after in there and again asked me to check my purse for the key cause she knew she had given it to me. She never had and was basically accusing me of being a thief and a liar in front of staff and other customers. 20 minutes later they finally announced the other lady’s name—first and last, so apparently they did find the key that I never had. Eventually they finished my car and the female employee never even bothered to apologize. I then realized several days later that they didn’t reset my car so it still showed that I was due for an oil change. So I had to take off work again to take it in and have them reset it. Not happy with their service and definitely would not recommend them

The scheduling procedure is now done off-site which involved calling twice and each time being put on an extended hold. Bad customer service in that respect. I had to go to the service area to personally set-up an appt. for a simple oil change and tire rotation for our Honda.As far as actual maintenance care, the folks out in the shop, particularly Amanda, did an excellent job. I must state before setting up the appt. with Honda of Illinois, I called Green Mazda for maintenance on our Mazda 6 and was helped immediately on site. It makes a big difference to receive on-site personal service.

My car broke down on the freeway on a Friday evening and I wasn’t able to get it towed to the shop until 1 o’clock in the morning. Because it was a Saturday, the service department manager only had a skeleton crew. But he found a way to get my car repaired and back on the road by 1 o’clock! The people in this service department really care and did a great job.

Lets start with my first purchase over 3 years ago. Bought and agreed on a vehicle, and was going to pick up the following day. Show up the next day to find Ive signed and bought a different car. Now presently I thought I would give them another chance and see what offers and incentives they might have. Found a vehicle and fell in love, however I was able to make my decision then and there. I was OFFERED to take it home for the weekend, drive it around, look at it in depth, etc. I returned with the vehicle with intent to buy. I waited around next thing I knew I was called into the finance office to sign and walk out the door with it! Not once was I asked about negotiating about my current trade in nor any numbers prior. I was blatantly verbally abused by my salesman (Paul GARY). Accused of driving a car around that wasnt mine just for my leisure and convenience after all it was HIS idea for me to take it home. He made me feel like a complete waste of time to him. I wanted to back out of the sale and leave such a place. I work customer service and that isnt how anyone should be treated. Overall Im happy with my purchase, but I hope anyone seeing this STEERS CLEAR of Mr. Gary. If the GM is reading this or the financial office manager I would like to thank you guys and I appreciate everything you did to resolve his remarks. I hope one of you were able to take credit for that sale. Oh and if anyone wants his business card you can find it ripped in half in their parking lot.

In full disclosure, I need to first talk about my hatred of dealership service departments. I find them pushy, poor service, overpriced, and generally painful on my life. The only reason I brought the car here was because the previous owner had all the maintanace done here so they knew the car and I needed a quote. Greg was so helpful, it reminded my of my home town mechanic. He talked me through the problem, told me how much it would cost, and got the part on order next day. Got me right in and back on my way with no problem or hick-ups. Hes got old-school manners and service values and Id confidently send my Grandma there if the rest of the team performs at the same level. I will be back. Please, whatever youve got going right now, dont change.

I had a judder in my transmission and I felt pretty sure I knew what it was. First place I called for service ignored me entirely and in fact couldn’t diagnose the problem on a prior visit. The mechanic at Honda of Illinois listened to me and knew exactly what I was talking about and got my vehicle fixed while it was still under warranty at no cost to me.

Amanda scheduled diagnostics on short notice, ordered required parts, arranged a loaner car and ensured my car was ready for the 900 mile drive at my scheduled departure time. She kept me informed throughout the process and her help was much appreciated. Hoping to find a dealer here with the same level of customer service.

Tried for 2 days straight to get ahold of someone in parts or service. Was calling to check status on saftey recall parts that were to be order in for my vehicle. When I finally get to parts i get told there was no information on my car nor parts order for a car, meaning the service manager I had spoke with completely ignored my request as a customer. I utterly disappointed in how this establishment has become in qaulity of customer service.

I made two appointments for service at this location and both times, the appointment served no purpose. I had a minor fix that needed to be completed and showed up for both my appointments on time only to have to wait for any sort of service on the vehicle. The first appointment I waited to order a part. I had emailed the specific part I need prior to the appointment. I then waited over two weeks after the part arrived for an appointment and waited for over an hour for nothing to happen. When I asked about the progress of my minor fix, my vehicle was then atteneded to and the attendant provided a free car wash, but these experiences were both inefficient and frustrating.

So my ignition went out of my Honda civic at 108478 miles its not paid off till December. I bought a Honda for durability well wrong on that lol. So Honda of illinois out another ignition in and my car is totally worthless now, I have to use one key to start the car and one key to open the doors. The kicker is my push button keys dont even work anymore I have to insert key to unlock. All this useless stuff was 730 dollars talk about getting reamed

The salesman done everything he could do to make it work for me to be able to get the car then to give me a discount on the price of the car. They also got me a very low interest rate then his boss done what he could do to make it happen too. To tell you the truth I know the car they picked out for me is going to be a good car for me. Mike has had two people he works with tell him that they have or had one and they last a long time. By the way this is Gloria mikes wife Im the one that talk to the salesman and Mike came in to sign the paperwork and pay down payment. You have very respectful employees. Bought a brand new Odyssey in December of 2019. After about 6 months there has been 5 recalls. Honda will not provide any help with this inconvenience. Chevy and Ford dealerships at least will give you a vehicle so you’re not stuck in the waiting room with 2 kids for half a day. Disappointed to say the least.

The employees are very friendly and helpful. I just wish the service hours were more convenient. I had to take off work to have my oil changed there. I hope they go back to regular hours before I need it done again. Edited to add - they have added Saturday hours back in. However, they won’t do “recall” work on the weekend and don’t offer a shuttle right now, so in order to have a transmission work done under a recall, I have to take off work or get an uber. Not very customer friendly.

Hi! I always get the best service when I go to Honda of Illinois! The employees are very nice and always eager to answer questions. That being said.. the last time I went I had called the local number in Springfield and made an appointment for the 3rd of July at 8am.. I arrived at honda at 7:45am for my appointment. When the men came to my car they asked me my name as usual.. they then acted a bit confused and asked how I made the appointment.. did I call or use the website.. I told them I called the local number directly because Ive had many issues with the 800 number. They told me I didnt have an appointment.. well I was not about to leave after already waiting a week and a half for the appointment so I told them I would wait.. I waited an hour and a half before I got my car back.. then I got charged full price.. I was late for work an hour as well.. I am very dissatisfied with my service that day. Otherwise I have usually been happy.
