I went to the store to upgrade my phone not knowing there was a difference between a Verizon store and a Verizon corporate store. Never again will I not go to a Verizon corporate store. I was able to upgrade only after paying taxes and fees that I wouldn’t have had to pay at a corporate store because they add them on to your next bill, which if my next bill is what it says it’s going to be that’s what they are doing as well. The guy working told me that all my apps would use my cellular data to download and that I wouldn’t need to be connected to WIFI to have all my old phone updated to my new phone...well that was a lie. I don’t have internet so I was super upset about that. I’ve had Verizon for years and now I’m thinking about switching when my phone is paid off.

What has,happened to the Springfield Verizon??? Where is the manager Sarah??? That girl knew her phones! She was always kind and helpful and explained everything so well. I went in to the store 3/6/20 and have never been treated so poorly! They didnt answer my questions and I felt like I was a bother to them. I will miss Sarah and may even consider leaving verizon due to this bad change in management.
They added things we didn’t ask for and we didn’t find out till our first bill came.Not trust worthy.
Exceptionally poor customer service from the woman working today, 10/28. Aside from her dismissive attitude regarding my questions, I was not assisted with the sole purpose of my visit which was to attempt an upgrade on a phone I ordered online. Before I had a chance to explain in full my business there she was unboxing my brand new phone and attempting to activate it. As a rule I only move money when Im preparing to spend it. Because of her disregard for my requests, by the time I stopped her from activating the new device it was too late and in order to make any purchases I had to download my banking app, go through the whole process of unrecognized devices and email verifications etc. Which is not to say that any of those things were extent difficult but it was an inconvenience to me that could have been avoided. While I am sensible enough to know that one person is not representative of an entire group, after my experience today I am considering going to a different company altogether. Impressively bad new customer experience.
Very helpful! Explained usage and answered questions quickly and professionally. Easy to talk to, and knowledgeable about purchased phone. Would definitely refer others to this store.
Unhelpful and rude!! I have been in this store 3 different times and every occasion was worse than the last. Not only did they not help me or even help point me in the right direction to be helped. The employees were rude, unprofessional and flat out disrespectful. One incident the sales man spent 45 min with a couple of pretty women, doing whatever they needed and some. The gentlemen next in line was asking for some of the exact same things and the sales man said he couldnt do that kind of stuff. Then when it came to me he responded the same saying he couldnt do what I was asking. The 3rd and final time in this store there were 3 guy employees working. I walked in and was their only customer. I was asking about my galaxy S7 and the only thing he kept saying was, no I dont know how to do that. Every word out of my mouth his response was the same, No I dont know how to do that He was rude and being a smart ass about it. Some of my questions I wasnt even done speaking and he would interrupt with the exact same response. It was like because I wasnt buying a new phone he didnt have to help me. I then went to the other two employees standing by the register to try and get some help and they just acted like I was annoying them. I finally got irritated and spoke my mind and they told me I had to leave.I have never been so disrespected and treated so bad from employees of a business. Even if they couldnt help me they could of at least told me in a polite way. I would of expected to be pointed in the right direction to fix my situation too.
Usually have two employees present and one will do the brunt of the work while the other is seemingly only there to converse with the customer, rather than assisting another customer waiting to be helped. Not even good customer service.
Got a used jet stream box for 01cent but they want to charge 35.00 to return it.. I contacted customer service and i was told the 35 bucks was for them to restore the device and reactivate.. OK, now Im puzzled, it was used when i got it, it took about 2 hrs to get it reactivated ( over the phone) etc.. Was this device ever sunt to the warehouse NO!!!!!! Thats why it took the sales person so long to finish the sales.. She talked to atleast 5 people to get this device started..Verizon on North Dirksen
Meh... Big sales pitch on BOGO deal, then later said its buy one and get some credit for the other, and by the way - only with a new line. Buying a cell phone is confusing enough without mis-information.
Very helpful and she know her stuff even help us save 60.00 a month by switch are phone insurance to a family insurance.

Went in this store today after going to a store in Champaign to put my rebate card towards paying off my phone. The Champaign store was very rude and said they could not do it. This store was able to take care of it with no problems and both employees were very helpful.
Horrible experience with Jonathan Ernst. Went in to upgrade tablet & 2 iPhones. Told me I needed a debit card to purchase any iPhone. Only could purchase two iPhones. Told me I wouldnt be able to return iPad in 14 day return period because iPad are not considered tablets. Would not show me policy that verified any of these policies. Said if I didnt have a debit card he could refer me through his bank. So I could get iPhone. He said i had a past due balance but made payment in the same store the day before. He said the payment wasnt on my account. Finally found out that they put my payment on someone elses account. Since I only had cash I could only purchase iPad. He told me i would probably get an email regarding customer service and shouldnt put down that I didnt get my iPhones I wanted to upgrade because That would make him look bad. He told me all the Verizon stores carry this policy regarding iPhones & iPad. Went into corporate office and they could offer me everything I asked for and a discount on iPad but would have to take iPad back to store I purchased from. They would not let me return my iPad. So I got screwed. Do Not Go to Verizon Retailers go to corporate because they actually honor Verizon policy and deals Verizon website.
These guys were fantastic and Hunter Sherman was bright and very helpful. I will be going here from now on and for life!!!
