Lidl has quite a nice selection of fruits and vegetables. There a grass fed beef products. Though i didnt see pasture raised eggs or grass fed butter or milk. In that case id suggest wholefoods or Amazon fresh. Its better quality than aldi. Prices are far better compared to giant or wegmans
This store was very neat and clean. Its selection of items were plentiful and lower many name brands.I really enjoyed walking down the aisles and finding several different items not in other stores.
First time at this store, asked if I have a receipt 🧾 for what Im wearing, guess back pack, called off by someone because Im white he retorts... turns out they still have one in a preferred color... And bread 🍞 machine s which are gone from closer (& seen again)..Checkout options, take photos, decide cheapest and go to register, they have self checkout but app QRCode problems. Staff jump in for phone number type in instead. Discover Ive lost something important and have to search, backtrack or another hell...Y(M|Km)MV
Great selection of high-quality items for unbelievably good prices!
Great prices on eggs, milk ......bakery dept. Has fresh donuts, croissants, bread...... if you buy bag of orange or tangerine,,make sure there is not a rotten one in it. Happened twice .
My great German grocery store. Good selection of groceries and product. Always a good deal and dont forget the weekly items
This store is always clean, neat and organized. The employees are always helpful and nice. I shop here often for the great prices and the rewards on my Lidl app. Overall the store is great
I always shop here and was so far very satisfied with the quality and service, unfortunately today was not the same as usual. I got a big cart full of groceries ready to check out went to register 1 and the light was on( it was the only register with a green light) which means it is open, I pushed my cart to the register but no one was a employee stood about 20 feet away from the register so I ask her nicely if she is ready for me she looked at me saw my cart full of groceries and pointed to the self checkout, I told her I don’t want to it’s too many items she replied with an attitude there is no one you have to do it yourself, I didn’t say anything and rang all my groceries myself and she just stood there looking at me and gave me a weird stare. I don’t know if she had personal problem with me or mistaken me for someone??? And before I was finished she went to register 1 and start ringing up customers, eventually another employee came and helped me with some of my groceries and I told him if knew that I had to ring up all this items myself I would’ve shopped somewhere else.
You can find a variety of products here from food to tents and BBQ tools One stop shopping!
What a nice store! Very clean organized and the staff were outstanding. Prices were good too!!
Just Outstanding prices and deals is phenomenal,, this is my new grocery shopping store.
I bought fresh croissants Nov-20-2020 morning in paper bags, I was happy and felt good because they sold healthy. But I went today morning Nov-24-2020 bought croissants but this time it was in plastic boxes, I try to find out why this big change because I’m buying croissants long time from Costco but I’m plastic box less price and more quantity then Lidl so o tried to approach manager she replied that it’s more better in plastic boxes then paper bags, got shocked then why Lidl sales donuts and other products in paper boxes or bags moreover why I had been sold croissants in paper bags on Nov-20-2020, I have receipts with me.Too amazing that just buy the things no have right to ask any thing which healthier for our community.
A very good alternative to the higher priced markets. Great quality food products as well, without the added High Fructose Corn Syrup amongst other things! The coupons for added savings are great as well!
I came to exchange a non grocery item and the store manager was extremely rude and loud with us. Made us feel really embarrassed. We explained from the beginning we don’t have the receipt but we just want to exchange and buy so much more. We usually do all our shopping here but probably will never again. I a store manager as well would never treat a guest like that. We have other Lidl near by and will choose to go to those locations instead of this. All over a $12 lidl item. She even ignored us when trying to talk to her after and she walked away. Definitely need no manger or some management training.
Good staff that are helping and price are ok. Mostly more stacked than Aldi but i feel Aldi is a bit cheaper but my husband likes Lidls quality over Aldis .
I love the surprising selection of meatless protein options, organics, ethic frozen, unique beers, and more! Ive tried a handful of their Lidl brand products and the quality was great!
Really liked the fact that there was someone designated to clean the carts upon returning them. Very nice touch. However shopping experience is a little disconcerting since there is no directional aisles. Customers are free to come and go up and down aisles. The fresh fruit and vegetables are right as you walk in with a small Bakery /pastry area as well. Next is the seafood and meat department. The non food area is in the middle of the store with refrigerator & frozen foods being in the far back corner.Check out is pretty straight forward. Be aware that you are expected to bag your own groceries, so bring enough for all your items. This grocery store is very similar to Aldi only larger. Items are still limited, just more. If you are a name brand shopper, this store is not for you. If you need a few things for a meal or snacks, it is a great place to shop.
Great shopping experience at reasonable prices. Masks are enforced and social distancing easily possible. Good layout of the store.
I went many times, the supermarket is nice but today several interesting products (cheese, mortadella, cookies, candys) were sold out (while there were plenty of other common options). Bakery is always very good. Hopefully they will reorder what is finished ... so I can put the 5th star in my review.
Nothing to say good about this place.
Could provide a little bit of customer service and smile on associates faces.
Bad management big store staff not friendly .
Clean and easy to get in and out!
I visited this store on a Sunday evening. I dont know, maybe it just was a bad evening, but this store was a disaster: empty shelves, no meat, no vegetables, no bread, extremely disorganized, and dirty! Moreover, poor customer service, poor selection of products! I dont understand why so many are loving it! It was my first time shopping at a Lidl store due to hearing all this good promotion about it; however, it definitely was my last time also! Very disappointed and disgusted! The worst thing is that I purchased expired eggs!!! Ok, my fault I didnt look, but how in the world can you put an expired product on the shelf for people to pay for it?! NOTHING ELSE TO SAY!
I accidentally left half of my groceries and forgot that it divides when youre checking out. I returned today to get the other half of my groceries with my receipt. The management was very kind and understanding. They helped me gather my stuff and retrieve my paid groceries that I had left. I love how they treated me as a customer. Great job Lidl choosing a great management team! I will continue to shop at this Lidl.
Today this Lidl is well operated to include stock of the shelves. It was clean and staff was helpful. Produce was fresh and attractively presented and price. I will continue to shop this store which was built directly across the street from an Aldi.
Just one word-PERFEXLT
Nice store easy to get in and out of well stocked great product
Im not sure why this store has such good reviews because I always have to deal with extremely rude and unhelpful employees.
I drive out of my way for Lidl. For those who do not know, Lidl is similar to Aldi’s. In my opinion, Lidl is Aldi’s on steroids. There is a bakery with fresh breads and lots of affordable flowers. I’m always willing to drive far to go there because the prices are very affordable compared to the shops near me. The cheese selection is always on point too. There are always new random European goods for you to try. Not to mention the alcohol section is nice and somewhat cheap. The only con is that sometimes the weekly sale items will be out of stock and a few produce tend to get very low (near Valentine’s they were completely out of raspberries and had only 3 sad, old packaged strawberries left). But other than that, I cannot complain. I’m a Lidl-er for life!!
I like the store but they got to do something about presentation, groceries on the floor, out of stock items... gotta do better
Store equipment cant scan the bar code in the Lidl mobile app in my phone. Why would I need a mobile app then? It was just one cash register working out of 6. It was a big line. There was no assistant in the self-service area. So, I wasted my time, because I had a bottle of wine. However, it was a very nice and knowledgeable assistant in the frozen food area.It was definitely an Italian day in the store. I was really pleased to see so many nice products at a reasonable price. I was so happy to see a bottle of Frascati wine. I visited Frascati (a small village very close to Rome) a few years ago.Thank you, Lidl!
Focuses on quality over quantity and succeeds, every day prices are good, sales are great! They rotate stock quickly so take advantage of the specials while they last! A real testament that efficiency isnt always built on the bigger is better concept.
This lidl is bigger than most love the location and cleanliness as well.
First time at the store & I liked a lot.... very clean, good selection, & great prices.
Great staff and great service. Bakery items are fresh. Cashier was quick. Recommend the croissant and the glazed donuts. Produce is fresh too. Quality meat. I was able to get potato chips for a little over a dollar. You can get $0.99 pizza here. Everything here is cheap and you can a lot of different items going here. They got napkins, dish soap, tooth paste, etc. It will be crowded since newly opened. You can park in total wine parking lot if you need parking. Bring your owns bags unless you want pay for them. They have boxes as well like Costco.
Bakery no longer has many pastries, just croissants and jelly donuts
Ive seen several of there stores and never gone in or shopped there until one opened near my home and I was impressed with their prices and products Ill definitely return
Confuse between sales in store and app cupon, misses prices some products, some products offer in the circular not in store.
Great products!
I love this store but I have never had some toss my fruit so carelessly on the belt ever, he was friendly but either he doesnt understand he just damaged the fruit or doesnt care but hopefully more training happens because thats very disappointing to have something damaged that we just in process of purchasing. Guess Ill just have to handle my own fruit....
Lidl impressing with very friendly staff and great prices; however, check out featured a spill of sugar on the conveyor and the clerk appeared not be faced by it. We asked him whether he had some wipes, which he apparently had not as he endeavored wiping the sugar away with his bare hands. He, was however, as all staff, very motivated. Keeping this store clean and tidy may be one of the foremost pursuits to be competitive.
Wonderful place! Great atmosphere! Prices are awesome! Not familiar with some of the products.Unfortunately many of the baked goods bins were EMPTY!!Bathrooms without paper!People bumping into each other and not saying: Excuse me or Im Sorry. Many items without prices!Children running around!Overall its a great place to check inexpensive stuff.
Good prices and pretty good selection. Our go to for necessities like milk, eggs, bread, etc.
Sale items was sold out.
Very interesting grocery store. Can buy everything that you need in one trip (unlike some stores if similar style.), but perhaps slighly less variety. This is made up for with interesting European brands and certain things that cant be found elsewhere. Including unique chocolates, sauces and beer. Lots of nice little surprises such as random power tools, planters, battery jumpers for car, shoes and other interesting novelties at low prices.Bring your own bags. Tho they have paper and plastic bags for purchase.
A very typical Lidl, overall very happy with the chain. This store is a victim of its popularity, is always busy and the shelves are often missing products. I cant wait for this covid mess to end so we get the full bakery back!
Love this place. Very clean and organized. Economical prices. Fresh products. Perfect by all means. Love their bakery. I tried to call them once to ask about a product but unfortunately the lady hung up on me which was disappointing.
They really need self check out stations.
Nice store, reasonable prices and big variety of food and products, but be careful SELF Checkout is giving a wrong price specially when you buy something on clearance, staff is helpful and nice.
This place as the best grocery prices.
Love the prices!! Love the products!! Al fruits and vegetables are fresh!! Just love to do my shopping at Lidl
Great store in the same lane as Aldi but much larger and more national brands. Also has a great on site bakery.
As always, shopping at Lidl in Springfield, Virginia was an enjoyable experience. Plenty of parking spaces, really cheaper prices for very good quality products. 👍
We love Lidl. Absolute products at affordable prices.
Great prices and they offer a wide variety of products. They offer great produce, lots of international products at great prices and their bakery is delicious. They sell cheese twisted bread thats flakey, soft, cheese infused and addicting.
Awesome prices
All the basics with seasonal odds & ends along with fresh brown cage free eggs. Good quality snacks. Grass fed beef, etc..
I love this place price is great for eggs and orange juice
Good selection of meats, wine/beer and produce. The produce wasnt as fresh as Aldi but that may have been an off day so will definitely give it another try.
If you dont shop here you are the type of person that would buy a bridge from a prince in Nigeria. Just being honest
Smaller selection than I expected but good fresh produce.
The chain is really fantastic - excellent products at probably the lowest prices around (similar regular prices to Aldi, but with discounts on some items on top). You can find staples at the lowest prices here (oil, milk, flour, etc), but also enjoy some of the fine European imports at prices ~30-70% lower than other grocers.Fantastic items include Portuguese egg tarts, fresh mozzarella cheese ball, capers, and 32oz tub Greek yogurt (way thicker than Chobani). Other items are in the rotating inventory, so youll need to time your visit to buy them. I cant wait for the Spanish Palmeritas and Swiss chocolate to come back!Of the NoVA stores close to the Beltway, the Springfield store is my favorite, with the best layout (very spacious), great inventory, and self check outs.
Store is good but the parking in Fairfax are too tight and hard to get/out compared with the one at Ashburn, Springfield. Hopefully there one in Chantilly open
Good selection. Good value. Clean store.
Great prices, even better quality! The bakery is the best!
Nice new store with very helpful employees.
I was a little disapointed that you had to bring your own bags! It was a bit disorganized. However, the prices seemed reasonable! The staff was very nice!
Good variety. Friendly staff. Very convenient.
Huge selection of groceries at a great price. It is very organized and clean. The employees are nice and ready to answer any questions you have.
Nice clean store and the prices are good as well. I will definitely be back.
Always a great place to shop with good prices. Their covid policies are excellent, hands sanitizer as you walk in and a sanitized cart waiting at the doorway.
Affordable, quality and clean! German grocery stores never disappoint. If you head to Lidl, make sure to bring a reusable bag, get some cheap quality eggs and grab a few chocolate twist croissants. Those are the best.
Lidl is a great store and the ones in the US are faithful to the German stores. Love their Middle Aisle Madness
I love this place why cant you have one in the south west!!!! Customer service is always excellent
Very neat and clean store. Love Walnut Bread!
The Springfield location is larger and nicer than its principal competitor Aldis. The self-checkout went quickly. The groceries are priced are very competitively. I didnt have to pay for a grocery cart.
Plenty of food variety and good prices. My only complaint so far is that they could do a bit better with the food price signage.
Its so awful to many customers and only one cashier working
Great store
Will probably re-rate after the novelty dies down. Adequate parking with easy in/out. Balanced pricing of name brand items (compare to Giant and Safeway). Clean store, helpful employees. Not dure of quality of off-brand items. Will try for comparison.
Love this store. Great prices and selections.
Today was my first time been there, very nice and great savings very clean
Clean, well organized, great selection, fresh produce, and warm and welcoming staff!! Had a positive experience
Another box store. Not all items had prices lisred, some did, but on little pieces of hand written paper placed on top of items.Meats, etc. Are packaged elsewhere, no butcher on site, so you cant get exactly what you need. For example, chop meat comes in 1 or 2 lb packages. Only needed 1.5 for tonights meal.
They have raised the bar big time for how a grocery store should. The bakery items, I tried the croissant and its gourmet tasting, the best I ever had. Rest of the items unbelievable prices, I even asked the manager if these are introductory prices. So glad it opened near us. LIDL please dont let the quality/service go down hill.
Its amazing grocery store with reasonable price. Everything is in the store organic products also found, fresh bakery
Baguettes, butter croissants, chocolate croissants... yummy!!
Its new, and its crowded, we had to park next door since the lot was full. The parking lot seems small so Im curious if it will be able to handle the weekend crowd once the initial new store rush fades out. The store itself is nice, fresh produce, great bakery and the prices on store brand stuff is very good. So far, the store brand items weve tried have been as good or better than name brand (pasta, tomato sauce, cereal, frozen waffles, pizza). The employees seemed a little overwhelmed, and were stocking shelves in the crowd, sometimes blocking the aisles with palette jacks full of boxes. Checkout was intense, be sure to have a plan for bagging your own groceries because they will send them down the belt rapid fire, next time ill have reusable bags with me. Id say once the new store jitters are smoothed out, itll be a very nice store.
Very nice and clean. Great prices.
Really liked the store, it has name brand as well as generic products. It also has a fresh baked goods in their bakery. Only thing is its very crowded and the shelves get empty fast.
Clean, bunch of neat stuff, and good price.
Great prices with a slightly larger selection than Aldi. Walking into this store took us back to Germany.
Great prices!!!! and cleanly in that particular store.
Good bakery, produce well stocked and lower prices.
