I only put two stars there because a young man that works there was so helpful to me when I showed up very hurt after unloading the truck. The rest of them inside were very rude even though I looked wounded and like it was different Even though I was hurt they didnt care they didnt respect me . They looked very business like. one of them even told me to leave before I even got my paper that I was waiting for and I told him no I cant I will leave when I am finished they need to be retrained people should not be treated with that kind of business personality And they should help an elder lady to the car when she has a hurt leg and on her way to the hospital instead of making fun of her.

I rented a tow dolly to retrieve a car that had broken down. Javeline (sp?) was very nice and checked me in quickly. Unfortunately, it was my first time towing with my vehicle, and I hadnt realized my electrical connector for the trailer lights had broken. I fully expected to be turned away until I fixed it, but another employee, Quinn, graciously offered to splice in a new connector! 30 minutes later I was on my way. Thank you Quinn for the excellent service!!

Awesome service, very friendly, but would have given 5 stars had it not been for finding fries in the bed of the pickup we had rented, plus after we got to our drop off destination I had put my phone in the door pocket then when I reached in to get it it I find used BC powder packet and BIC lighter plus a live .12 gauge shotgun shell!! Will highly recommend them, but gentleman clean the vehicles better please
Had an amazing experience renting out an appliance dolly, and getting boxes for our move! They gave us a dolly right away and helped us load it up, always have loves uhaul but this just tops the cake of great experiences ❤️
I was referred to U-Haul at South Campbell because I needed a towing hitch installed on my vehicle. I arrived early on a cold morning (7:30 a.m. and minus 11 degrees, not counting wind chill). U-Haul employees looked at my vehicle and told me they could not install a hitch because my frame mounting holes were too rusty. So, I returned home. A couple of days later I wondered if U-Haul might be wrong in their assessment. I went online and found another installer (Pecks at 400 W Kearney). Pecks wire brushed the mounting holes and installed a hitch without any problems. They were fast and professional. It appears U-Haul simply didnt want to bother with a little prep work. Pecks informed me that they receive a lot of work from customers who were first turned away at U-Haul. If you need a hitch installed, go to Pecks. Its a family owned business thats been around since 1954. They do quality work. Skip U-Haul. Dont even bother going there; you will end up at Pecks anyway.
The new facility is amazing and the staff is very friendly and are very good at their jobs. I needed a van to move some things and Ryan helped me and had me setup in less than 15 minutes. I just drove up without an appointment and told him what I needed. I was able to leave my vehicle and use the van and then I dropped it off afterwards using the online return too. The online return tool is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend checking it out.

I understand waiting for service but after waiting 45 minutes with 3 people telling me just a minute, Ill be with you in a minute I was told if I wanted help I needed to go somewhere else. I tried calling but it was a 30 minute wait on hold.

This place is a joke. I reserved a 15 foot truck and when I showed up they didn’t have it. They then told me I they had a 15 foot truck but it was reserved by someone else. After a heated discussion, I was then asked to leave the premises or the cops would be called. Absolutely joke of a business.
I never review places. This was, hands down, the one of the worst experiences with a company I’ve ever had. Rushed across down to return the truck by 5. Got there, parked, and asked where to go. It was 4:59, they guy pulled out his phone, looked at it, said “we’re closed” and walked away. No help, nothing. The moving help I got thru uhaul spent pretty much the whole time arguing over one piece of furniture and then put a hole thru the wall. This whole experience will likely cost me more money to fix the damage and move more stuff. Awful. I’ll be giving a shout to the manger tomorrow, which I can’t even believe I’m saying. Absolutely pathetic.

I called to reserve a trailer to rent and was on hold over 18 minutes finally hung up, very poor customer service before I even spoke to someone, get rid of recording and have a real person answer so they can say how long it will take to speak to someone! Very sad!!!

Very poor! Someone called my husband from U-haul on Friday afternoon and ask if we could bring our car in at 8:00 Saturday morning. My husband said Yes. I get up early in order to be their at 8:00. Rush around and get there only to be told that they had over booked and it would be afternoon. Got up early on Saturday and drove into Springfield! Not professional!!!!!
U Haul is on both sides of the street at this location, but they are only doing business on one side. Traffic on this street makes it not so convenient for dealing with a large truck and trailer. The service was very slow albeit friendly and helpful. They had 1 person up front and a long line until managers finally came out of the back.

This place is a little bit intimidating when you first see it, very busy and they rent huge numbers of trucks. The people that work here are very efficient, they work hard to get you out with your truck quickly and also check you in quickly when you come back. This is not the kind of place where you wait 45 minutes for some salesmen trying to sell someone a lawn tractor before they can check you in or out. They are all about renting trucks. Excellent.
We deal with them almost weekly for our business and absolutely LOVE the new manager Joshua! He is such a sweetheart and so so patient with us everytime were in. My fiance is a hard man to please and quite mouthy but Joshua had him laughing and talking up a storm!!

I recently had a horrible experience at the S. Campbell location.Their system was down due to a power outage and I was told to download their app and swap my order to a 24/7 truck share order so that I may pick up my reservation. Not being familiar with their system, I asked for help from the staff. The first two workers didn’t know how to help, so they contacted their “manager”; however, after he treated me so poorly he wouldn’t confirm that he was actually a manager. He stormed into the store and told me that they were closed due to utility issues and nobody could help me. He told me to “Figure it out” on my own, cussed at me, forced me to leave, and called the police on me although I was only politely asking for assistance with their mobile app. By the time the police arrived I had met the General Manager, who completely transformed my experience. He was understanding and walked me through the mobile order process, and I was very appreciative of his help.The police knew I had done nothing wrong and left after a very brief talk with me and the U-haul team. It’s unfortunate that some individuals believe that this was a necessary and acceptable use of our law enforcement’s time and resources. Furthermore, I cannot believe that a reputable company like U-Haul would allow such a rude employee like the “manager” to be the image of their organization.When I select a company to do my business with, I expect to be treated politely and professionally and certainly do my best to return the same professionalism and kindness. I understand things were hectic during the outage, but I did nothing to warrant the harassment by their “manager”. Although the GM was incredibly helpful, kind, professional, and polite, I certainly don’t appreciate the treatment I received before meeting him. I wouldn’t recommend using this location unless you work directly with the GM.
Absolutely do not use this location! We were quoted one price over the phone and then when we go to pickup the truck, it becomes much more expensive. The truck only had a quarter of a tank of gas in it upon pickup. Well they say they will give me a $25 dollar credit if I bring it back with a quarter of a tank. I fill the tank and use it to just below half and return it. Oh now they say they cant reimburse me for the extra gas I put in it. It took me threatening to siphon the extra gas out in order to get them to acquiesce to refunding me for the fuel. They said they gave me a $5 refund for the fuel but the math doesnt add up when looking at the receipt. Use another U-Haul location and save yourself some grief.

I recently moved four families (including my own) down to Missouri from Illinois and so I’ve had several encounters with this U-Haul location. I wanted to share my positive experience with one employee in particular- Kenneth. In my several interactions with Kenneth he has provided nothing but excellent customer service. People like him make the less-than-thrilling task of equipment rental an enjoyable experience and I can’t recommend him enough. I hope management sees this review and rewards him in some way. I have been here several times for moving boxes, trailers and etc. Kenneth has helped me and he is always happy and most important efficient. I have also worked with Edward and he was equally helpful and happy. Great place better people!!!
They failed to inform me my appointment was changed because my trailer hitch didnt come in so I drove 50 miles for nothing. Then they forgot to give me the ball and the slide in piece. Then I left and going down the highway and my hood wasnt latched. I will never do business there again.

Today at 6:55pm (5 minutes before this location is SUPPOSED to close) I came into this location to buy a pad lock for the trailer I had picked up here earlier in the day. The kid behind the counter told me he couldn’t sell me the lock because they had already shut down their systems for the night. He then said I should go to Home Depot or Lowe’s for a lock since his system was shut down. So basically I had to run all the way across town because this dude wanted to get home early and refused to make me a sale that would have taken 30 second had he not turned his computer off early for the night. This is the worst Custer service I’ve ever experienced at a U-haul and I’m glad I’m leaving this town so I don’t have to dealer with the people that work at this location anymore because they obviously don’t care about customers!
We rented a dolly to take my daughters car to NC. The service was excellent, all of our questions were answered satisfactorily. They checked all of our fittings to make sure we were ready for travel. We were able to leave the dolly vs tow it back to MO. Thanks U-Haul!

Trevor, who helped us at the front desk, was very friendly, informative, and helpful. The rest of our experiences here have not been great. When I have called, I jave had to wait on hold for 20 minutes -- if I was able to wade through the maze of their automated phone answering system just to be able to get placed on hold.At the location, weve always had to wait in line for another 20 minutes.The most recent time I called ahead to reserve a moving truck, I got transferred to a call center in Arizona. The worker who answered my call (after waiting in hold for 20 min as usual) booked my reservation in Los Angeles, California, even yhough I requested a reservation in Springfield, Missouri. He put the correct store number, but since the location was wrong, we had no truck available for the move we scheduled.The worker we spoke with at the store said it wasnt their stores fault since the call had been rerouted to their corporate headquarters in Arizona. He said to try calling headquarters again and to try complaining to them. So we planned the whole weekend around moving with the truck we called ahead to reserve, but there was no truck. There was no offer of a substitute truck or credit to make up for the hassle or the fact that we had to spend an hiur at the store trying to sort out the lost reservation.I would go elsewhere if you have another option.
I bought the van back with the same amount of fuel in it that I left with. I went 7 miles when I got the bill I was charged $6 for a gallon of gas. Its not the money but the principal. When I questioned the guy behind the counter he said I should have bought it back with a quarter tank of fuel. He said I got a discounted rate for the bringing back the van with more fuel than it left with. I checked my final bill they did not discount anything and still got charged for fuel.
The employees are really responsive and super flexible. I’d definitely use them again.

Ive been here a few times first time was renting a truck, it was the worst vehicle I had ever driven, brakes sounded like metal grinding, suspension was horrible. The worst part was the gas the gauge was messed up to where you put more gas in it than you needed. Trying to get more $$$ out of you.Then recently I went to get propane. rang the bell a couple times sat out there for about 5-10min thinking they were busy. Nope they werent busy the propane machine wasnt working so they just let me sit out there waiting. If you have a choice go elsewhere.
We have the best experience at the U-Haul on South Campbell Street because of Kenneth Taylor! It was by far the best experience we have ever had with any company all because of him and also his boss Larry! Kenneth greeted us with a smile, he was so personable friand soendly from the minute we walked in until we took the U-Haul back the next day. U-Haul is a better company because of him and the kindness that he shows while representing U-Haul. I definitely believe that he brings business in and certainly brings business back! Thank you so much Kenneth and thank you Larry for making this an amazing experience because we all know that moving is so stressful! I definitely recommend U-Haul on South Campbell and ask for Kenneth!

The truck was broken and not well maintained. I’m a truck driver by profession and this vehicle was not in good shape at all. The cables on the door were obviously damaged when I picked it up, but the worker insisted that there were no other available trucks. The trailer door wouldn’t shut completely without a huge effort to get it closed and the second time I attempted to close it, the cable on the door came loose all together causing the door to slam down suddenly and dangerously without any support. I wasn’t able to complete my move with this equipment and the staff at the location seemed uninterested in the problem all together. No attempt was made on their part to replace or repair or reconcile the issue.
Best place around for truck rentals! Adam and Eddie are the two best guys there,they deserve a raise!!!
I have rented trucks from them on numerous occasions. Never a bad experience. I have even been able to walk in and rent exactly what I needed without any reservation or notice.
With web site reservations in and out was a breeze! Nice guys too!

We rented a trailer from this location. The guys were very friendly and helpful. We had a small problem with locating the one we were supposed to have...we waited maybe 20 mins but they threw n some furniture blankets at no charge which helped a lot!!! Also got some free boxes!! Not bad! Id recommend using this location. 5 stars.
You guys ever answer your phone? Its like the banks that send you phone call to a call center and they have no idea how to answer your question. Well duhhh, maybe you and the banks should just have the dang call go to the store so someone could actually answer my questions.
Tried doing the online sign up for this location. Not as easy as they say. Customer service wasnt helpful. Had to wait two hours to get the truck I rented
I made a reservation online for a 24-hour rental but when I went into the store we needed to upgrade to a larger size truck so the gentleman that helped us only as long as I was back with the truck by 11:30 the next day there would be no problem. I am legally blind and I am not able to read a contract however I am the one responsible for it and paid for it I just had a driver. Around the next day my driver received a phone call saying that he was late with his truck and the next customer was waiting and he was going to be charged for 2 days. Few minutes later I received a phone call the truck was as they had called a few minutes prior and the driver said he was in route which he was. As the responsible party and credit card holder it would have been nice to be informed of the issues going on before showing up at the store Im being told I was being charged for two days, having a representative tell me that my credit card has already been charged for two full days. My driver got into a verbal dispute with the cashier representative as he was snickering, smiling and laughing saying I dont care your contract says 10:30 and its 11 you in imposition someone else so now you have to pay for that day. I handed the rental agreement to this gentleman and he threw it in the trash. Not only did he throw it in the trash but he also released my personal information by doing so. I spoke to the alleged general manager he was also very rude when I explained that I could not read a contract he said thats not my problem and refused to assist us. Try to explain that the gentleman who helped us was outside checking in other trucks and could verify what he had said the previous day however he refused to even acknowledge what I was saying. I also had a 20% off coupon which they were too ignorant to figure out how to apply. He basically wrote a promissory note for $50 additional charge so that if we ever needed to use Uhaul again we would have to pay this amount before we could use it. Have no fear Uhaul will not be my go-to ever again
I was very impressed with Courtney and his Manager today. They went out of their way to assisting me. I thought my visit would be a long and complicated ordeal. Their professionalism was only surpassed by the knowledge they both held within the moving and transportation industry. I would highly recommend doing business at this location!

Excellent service! Highly recommend this location! Rented truck in another state and returned it to this location (by the way, truck performed significantly better than Penske truck a couple years ago). Accidentally left something of value in cab of truck and they made sure to return it. Ended up renting a storage unit from them, too. Had to make multiple trips to unlock storage unit during first week and they were nothing but nice about it.
Been buying boxes to prepare for move. Just needed 1 short wardrobe box. All they had was one bundled for convenience and an extra $1. I bought it and it was horrible. Who thought up this convenient bundle?. The box was so mangled it too forever to just get it ready to tape. What a scam!!!

We were lied to when we first rented the vehicle about the over all cost. Ended up about $25 more than we were told.

They reserved me a truck and storage, came next day and said truck needs to be 3/4 full, but gave me a truck with less than 1/4 of gas. Also told me to go to Walmart to get a lock for storage. Came back, they said did you leave the truck running? I said, well, I’ve had the keys in my pockets, do your trucks keep running without keys, cause mine doesn’t. Then they said they weren’t renting to me cause of slurred speech (a medical issue which they don’t need to know about), then, about half an hour after I left, they cancelled the other contract for storage, which is ridiculous, and they can’t refund the charges because it already went through on a Sunday. Yeah right, because my bank is not open then, which is exactly what the reason they gave me for not being able to stop the charge or refund me. Good customer service.

I needed a trailer hitch for my vehicle. Someone told me to call a certain store (starts with U and ends with Haul.) Well I got a quote and it seemed really high. And then they told me it would take a week before they got the hitch. I ended up calling Pecks Trailer Hitches and they were able to do it that day. Plus they actually knew what they were doing - it took them less than half the time to install it than _____ (starts with U and ends with Haul) said it would take. AND it was $70 cheaper. #nobrainer

My friend and I rented from the South Campbell location in Springfield Mo. 5-4-2019 . The employees use there personal cell phones to take pictures of your drivers license to then upload to the system, in todays world I find this to be a security issue and a privacy issue. Not to thrilled knowing my personal information could be in there personal cell phone. UHaul can’t afford a company scanner? They also were very agitated when we tried to point out damage to the vehicle and had questions if it had already been reported. He said we would get pictures in a text of the previous damages which never happened. Out of frustration we video taped the entire truck and all the damage prior to leaving the UHaul property which I HIGHLY recommend you doing. These guys are in a hurry and race around this facility in the trucks and basically want you out of there Without you questioning anything you are signing in the contract. The air conditioner did not work in my truck and blew hot air even when turned off, made driving this truck almost unbearable.

Very disinterested poor service. Trailer very dirty. When asked to have it cleaned attendant stated it was too cold. Paperwork states you will be charged extra if trailer is returned dirty. When complained to assistant manager nothing was done. Attendant became rude. I have have had poor service at this location more than once. North Glenstone location is always polite and helpful.

I have pleaded for help and called so many times and have been met with empty promises, disgustingly rude people, and finally I’ve been hung up on. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my enemy. After struggling with car rentals and other bureaucracies, it was sheer joy to experience this U-Haul rental office. The people were friendly, the transaction was short and smooth, and we were out of there with the comparable ease of moving with a nice truck!
The best Uhaul location I have ever used by far! The staff was courteous, fast and efficient.
Call center upon rental was hard to deal with, the person on the phone kept rushing me for a credit card before I was sure the final rental details were agreeable, rental process was great, the guy who helped check us in was awesome, the 2 star comes from what happened after I returned the truck. It was MAYBE $1.50-$2 short on gas even though I put a little over 2 gallons back in tank. The guage touched the 1/4 line but didn’t hit it all the way. Instead of giving me opportunity to put the few bucks in the tanks they hit me with $30 fuel fee. Had the truck back early so if notified could have went and fueled it myself to avoid this highway robbery. Now I am just a guy who spent a little over $100 instead of $60 during the hard times of moving with no refund or apology from Uhaul. Absolutely insane policy. Will never rent here again.

After refueling the truck I rented, the gas level dropped two gallons getting back to the store, and I was charged 30 dollars for a service fee to refuel the truck. They helped me out by knocking the 7 dollars worth of gas off the bill. Thanks alot Uhaul.

Friendly staff. The uhaul I rented was super crappy. The oil gauge was messed up on it and it made weird noises which really freaked me out driving. It sounded like the engine or transmission. For the price paid for the uhaul I feel like the vehicle could have been in better condition.
My experience at this U-Haul on South Campbell was horrific as soon as I stepped out of my vehicle to get my trailer hooked up I am mediately smelled marijuana joints two guys hopped out of a truck and a smoke cloud follow them I asked him for some assistance their eyes were so glazed and they were so out of their mind they just told me to go into the office and I will be taken care of when I walked into the office it was the complete opposite there was a line going out the door the customer service reps were very unprofessional . One young man was cursing was cursing at another young man calling him all type up sanitys like the n word and just all kind of things that I was not trying to hear while I was trying to get help to move I will never return to this center again
