Wanted an advertised phone and for some reason could not complete the transaction on-line. Was on chat for 3 hours and was finally told to go into the store. I went to the store the next day and Angela did her best to get the system to take it, but to no avail. The reason I gave it two stars is that Angela was on the phone with them trying to get an answer, which was really nice, but told me to go ahead and leave and that she would call me back either way to let me know what was going on. Well no phone call that Friday or Saturday and this was after 5 chat guys the night before all put in for callbacks that I never received. The manager, Cody I think, just stood there and offered nothing except tried to blame my phone for not getting the verification code text from Best Buy that was needed. They could have sold me the phone for the sale price and I could have gone to T-Mobile to get it activated, but they said they had to activate it to get the sale price. They didnt even offer to discount it. It wasnt my fault their system didnt work. Thats classic bait and switch. I also know for certain that Best Buy mgmt can override almost anything, especially if the mistake is on them. I bought a phone elsewhere. Dont advertise something if you cant sell it.
The did not have what I was looking for back in August. But they had other things so I did some window shopping. They where well stocked in August.
I came here for a couple of items. The team of employees were great! I asked for some assistance from one of the team members and they explained they were w/ a customer,, but immediately requested assistance. Jasmine came over and assisted. I visited Best buy with my adult son. He wanted to get a new gaming mouse pad. He found exactly what he wanted. We had a little trouble locating it but eventually found it. We had no trouble checking out. There are plenty of salespeople to help. I always find best by a little overwhelming just because Im not an electronics or computer whiz but my grown children love it! I also have a nephew who works for Best buy and from what I can tell it is a good company to work for.
So helpful and patient as we tried to decide which TV to purchase. We never felt rushed or like we were a bother. Thank you, Kenneth and the Geek Squad young man who also helped us.
Not the best customer service experience! Bought a TV and tablet open box excellent and they didnt turn out to be in excellent condition. TV screen was cracked and the tablet had a dent on the back of it. Ive spent a lot of money with best buy but didnt get any help when it came to my grievances. Totally disappointed with best buy!!!!
This store literally stole my money! I spent approx. $500 there. Which included a Nintendo switch gift card for my childs birthday. Went home and scratched off the back of the card and the code was unreadable. Returned with my receipt less than two hours later. Zero refund. Zero Apology. My mind is blown. Will never shop at Best Buy again.
Absolutely love the in store geek squad. Especially Jamie. He is honest and Ive dealt with him for several years with my computers. I highly recommend him as well as the geek squad team he works with!

This is very recommended for your things and I was tracking an package so, I called them and the person that I was talking to was very helpful. I was very pleased and I really recommend Best Buy
The Best Buy in Summerville is a great place for all in person electronic purchases. I still like being able to go in to a real store and look at, touch, and play with all of my electronics before I buy them and this Best Buy is perfect for that purpose. This store is just the right size as it is not too big that you will get lost and I like the way everything is organized in different sections as you can easily go to the section that you are looking for. This store is always clean and well maintained. The staff here seems very knowledgeable and are able to answer your questions or know who to ask to answer your question. The checkout line and return counter is also very efficient and I never have to wait too long to purchase and go.
I was wanting to max out my fire tablet with a 750GB microSD card, they had 512GB. Not bad. My phones (Android) are rated at like 64GB cards, but I have one at 512GB and another at 128GB, but I have a 256GB card which I am going to put in it.
Best buy always puts a high-dollar item on sale for what I think usually lasts a couple of weeks. Last year, I bought an LG G8 thinq from them and they gave it to me at a great price. Normal price was $800 and they dropped it down to $555. I pass to that phone down to my daughter and bought a new Motorola when it went on sale a month ago. I am always excited to work with the employees and they always are able to answer any questions that I have without any problems. If they dont know, theyll definitely find out for you.
Out of stock! We can order! Horrible way to do business. They advertise low items to get you in door, and then try to sell more expensive or wait to order! Salesman didnt care and I felt I was bothering him asking questions! He didnt even care! Just wanted to walk away to make his commission!

I think this place is running a skeleton crew now on a regular basis. Shelves seem to always be half stocked and the TVs crowding the floor make the place look more like a warehouse rather than the retail giant it used to be.

Jordan over in electronics was amazing! He did what no employee last Friday (Jan 23, 2021) would do! He gave me his undivided attention, listened to my question, let me call my husband who was better able to explained what we needed and why and then, Jordan actually helped us!! He did research on his phone and found a product that was better able to serve us.This was the second time this young man helped me. The first time was almost a year ago when my sister and I were shopping (she for a new refrigerator and I was tagging along but ended up with a coffee maker). His customer service skills back then was just as stellar!Best Buy, do whatever it takes to keep this young man on your staff. He is a real asset to your company, a true gem!
Tripping hazards outside the store marked with orange spray paint,jeff and yolanda were not very helpful.Website says they have a return promise yet employees only interrogate customers.They also have roaches inside the store which I have shown here.This store needs better policies and better perhaps more friendly customer service.

Soo empty and poorly lit, who wouldnt love it. 60% markup on most of the products with less than knowledgeable staff. Dont trust Geek Squad, they recommend Webroot SecureAnywhere. You can turn it off with a right click of a mouse, its like using a pillow case (Webroot) against a tiger (viruses). Disorganized, cluttered, and mislabeled merchandise makes shopping a blind bag of joy. Leave your Cat o nine tails at home, youll suffer just as much coming to shop here.

They had what we needed. But it was hard to find the register for checkout. They were only doing it at customer service and the employee said he wasnt supposed to but that there was no one else to do it. A bit weird.
Curbside service was awesome! Prices were super! Staff was helpful. Parking lot was very clean. They could have better lights in parking area. But that was not enough to take away a star.

We went into the Best Buy to buy (2) 65 inch Samsung LED TV’s and (1) 55 inch Samsung LED TV today. We initially asked an African American young man with small braids in his hair(did not get his name) for help and he said he was busy but would help us in a few minutes. He was standing in the TV area and was not helping anyone. We waited 30 minutes and then I went to the front of the store to see if someone could help us. She did not work in the TV area so she went up to the same guy we asked for help earlier from and he told her he was busy. Her name is April and she took it upon herself to help us personally anyway. She was so nice and helpful. What she didn’t know about our questions she looked up and got the answers. She had amazing customer service and we ultimately bought all (3) TV’s from Best Buy due to her customer service. We could have gotten them anywhere. If we would have gone on the first guy we dealt with we would have gone elsewhere because he wasn’t helpful and seemed like he didn’t even want to be there. April was amazing and Best Buy needs a lot more employees like her! We spent over 6k and I can only imagine how many customers they lose due to poor customer service. Definitely need more employees like April.

Just had a bad experience with this store that I’ve dealt with for 8 years. Ended up calling head quarters who was very nice. I have made large purchases at this store each time over 1k The issue came when I went to make my recent purchase I had to provide ID (not a problem) when you don’t have your Best Buy card you provide your ID as a part of the look up. Well after about 10 minutes of the young man looking up information even telling me that the card may just be inactive for not using for a long period of time and the line getting long I made the $1200 lap top purchase out of pocket. Called Best Buy accounts from home who said they couldn’t understand why the card wasn’t found because it is current and active. Well yesterday I received a Credit report from Experian saying I was declined for a Best Buy card ( you mean the card I already have). The young man never said he would be running my credit! But after hours of calling and finally getting head quarters they were super nice and completed my complaint, typed a letter that is supposed to be seen by experian and suggested I call the store and speak with the manager. So I’m in good spirits calling this store. A guy answers. I ask for the manager he wants to know why. I explain about a complaint made about my credit being run at the store for a card I already have but I can give all the details to the manager. His priceless response was sounds like you need to call the police why are you calling us. I’m going in the store in the morning smh.

Went there last Sunday to buy a printer. went online before, everything was supposedly good it was in stock all I needed to do was pick it up, pay, and take it out. I got there and, there was not only no printers for sale, no ink to fit the printer I wanted, and if I ordered it it would take two weeks or longer to arrive at my home Best Buy? I dont think so.
Bought a TV out of the box everything was supposed to be in box drove back to best buy to get the remote couldnt find the one for the TV said they would sell me a universal one I said no it should have been in the box came home got the TV took it back to best buy Bought a new 55 inch no problem at all help me get it the the car put my money toward the other TV paid the difference and was out of there the crew was great Thank you
Still the go to for electronic stuff.The store is understaffed but that could be related to people just not wanting to work because the had help wanted signs posted on the doors.I specifically went in to purchase a cellphone case.They were very unorganized IPhone and Android mixed together.

Review is more for the company and less for this location, Staff at this location are Fantastic and I cant stress that enough. That being said, if you ever want a pre-order item, do it elsewhere. They over sell the expected inventory and then corporate support gives you a crazy run around only to tell you that yeah, they sold more than they had and you have to wait for it to restock (in this case not likely) or for it to auto cancel the order. So now my options are to purchase my items from a scalper on Ebay if I really want them, meaning paying double in some cases. Absolutely Unacceptable. Ill be taking all future business elsewhere when able and will be canceling my store card.

I waited to be waited on for 15 min (as I watched people standing around straighteningshelves) I was then greeted with u need to put ur mask on if you want to talk with me or security will escort u out... imagine my surprise... then I states it is not mandated any longer in our city or county... she replied Best Buy is privately owned... that was it... I took my granddaughter and my money and left... now had she been professional and talked to me with respect I would have put it on and conducted my business... but that was ridiculously unprofessional and disrespectful.
To simply put it, Best Buy has adapted to the ever changing retail landscape and has done so well. As a former employee, Im always happy to see that they continue to change with the times, grow and remain strong.I enjoy being able to see and touch my product before making a purchase and Best Buy allows me to have this experience. With price matching online retailers, I will make my purchases within the store and still get the best deal.I would definitely recommend shopping at Best Buy and specifically the Summerville location has always had great customer service.
We came here with a specific laptop in mind that we were looking for. I get that the website isnt always updated for accurate inventory, but it doesnt excuse the lack of help we had. Stood in the laptop section while the employee there kept trying to upsell to an older gentleman who seemed to be overwhelmed since he kept getting told the computers he was interested in were out of stock and he was being pressured into buying the others in stock. We just needed a minute to know whether what we wanted was there or not. After waiting around a while, the gentleman tells the employee to help us out instead since he needed a moment to think. We ask about the laptop we were eyeing, and the employee points to the little red X on the display that I dont think anyone would notice unless they were specifically looking for it. He says its out of stock and wasnt even willing to check. When we mention the website being inaccurate, he just mumbles thats not my job along with more attitude. So we leave and go to the North Charleston location. Majority of the displays there have the X marks on them, but we ask anyways and a much friendlier employee does a quick check, opens a nearby cabinet, and we were able to get the laptop were were looking for. I can understand if they dont have something in stock, but obviously something in their systems is contradicting, so is a little human touch that hard to ask for? Anyways, thanks to the North Charleston Best Buy for not being rude to us. Wont be coming back to the Summerville location.
Since covid it seems theyve just kind of given up a little. I asked for help in appliances and it took about 15 minutes for somebody to show up. We were actually walking out the door when they appeared. But he was very helpful.

My daughter and I went into Best buy on Mothers Day. I was looking to purchase an iPad 8th gen 32 GB. Best buy had them listed for regular price at $329. Best buy tells you they will price match and Amazon had them for $299. When I got back to the computers department I asked the gentleman where the iPad section was he pointed me in that direction. I proceeded to walk over to the case check out the iPad on display and then find the gentleman and tell him that I need one of those. He told me they were all out of stock. I found that they had an open box listed for $312. So then I told him I would take the open box for the price match part of $299. He told me that they do not currently price match open box items. I then went to the front of the store to speak to a manager. The girl at customer service got a manager for me his name was Max. I explained to Max what I wanted he told me that they would not price match and open box. I told him well I would like to purchase it today for for the matched price. He said that is not our policy.I told him if he did not price match that he would lose the sale of the iPad and all the other accessories that I had planned on purchasing to go with it. He said okay.I find it ridiculous that you would price match a brand new item in a box but you would not sell me an open box for the same price that you would price match an unopened for. If Best buy keeps on this path theyre going to be by the way side of circuit City.Best buy has permanently lost my business.
Got no help from geek squad. Sent me to customer service where 1 person was working while 7 people stood in line waiting. Wanted to look at 2 different sony tvs that checking online showed they had at the store. Well according to the person i asked after waiting on help for 20 min they didnt have them. Very few sony tvs other than 70+ inches. I never did get any help whatsoever with my tv replacement issue. Not happy at all with this store.
It appears Best Buy has changed their hours. There was a line with about 30 people long at 10:53 am. People said they were there since 9 am, which is when Best Buy used to open. They even opened the doors late, after 11 am, after the new opening time. People cut in line and no one cared or controlled anything. It was absurd and nuts! But everyone was lining up in their cars way before 11 and receiving pick up orders in their cars. What a disaster!
Went to the store in Summerville the tech was very nice and helpful and got the computer working right. Went to the store in N Charleston first and there techs are useless, they need people there that want to work and not just standing around doing nothing. That is for Summerville I would give the N Charleston store a 1 star

We went and bought a computer recently at this store, and the salesman Persuaded us that we needed to buy Microsoft and other things that we knew would be given to us through my daughters school. We recently decided to take it back within the 30 day period he told us that we had, and they will not help at all on refund or exchanging. They wont even give us the money back on the Microsoft card we havent even used. Were being told to contact Microsoft and they are saying to contact best buy. They also have phone numbers on their website for corporate that have been disconnected and are no good. Every time we call corporate we cannot get anyone on the phone to get in touch with that we need to report the store to. No one will pick up at the store either. Manager will not return phone calls either. The associates are unhelpful and very rude along with the female manager we spoke to. If you want a computer or anything go elsewhere. Best buy is not what it is supposed to be and everything is a lie too. I bought a computer from best buy many years ago and had a warranty on it and they made me drive 7 hours from south carolina to Tennessee to take it back to the best buy I bought it from because Columbia nor Charleston would help.

I had a positive experience but I was surprised at how little Best Buy had in stock. I went in to by two big items but due to them being out of stock (and told there is a three month waiting list since the Pandemic has manufacture companies behind) I bought different, higher priced items since that’s all they had in stock. I will say I am happy with them but did pay more than anticipated walking in. Associate(s) we’re attentive and patient with my gazillion questions.

UPDATE AT BOTTOM: 11/13/20 Lauren in customer service was fantastic after the first laptop I ordered kept freezing up. She was a huge help and very sweet and helped me exchange it for a different laptop.EDIT: 11/16/20 my bank cards have been used fraudulently in Best Buy in CA and several other storms for a few thousand dollars. Literally the only place anyone could have gained access to them is Best Buy, and I was repeatedly assured that they wiped the laptop I exchange. Called at 7:25pm to speak to a manager and sat on hold for over 30 minutes. UNACCEPTABLE.
I am not one to leave reviews. More than frustrated with this Best Buy store. Waited patiently to purchase 2 flat screen TVs for our new home. We knew exactly what we wanted we just needed someone to step up and take our money. Wanted the 85” Sony TV and the Sony OLED 55” TV. Needed tv mounts for both and installation. Easy $4,000 sale. Waited over 25 mins for someone to greet us. Made eye contact with many employees, still not one asked us if we needed help. Eventually my 2 year old got impatient and of course so did my wife and I. Took me a long time to convince my wife a 85” TV is a good purchase. Finally got her on board and Best Buy of Summerville SC ruined it by ignoring us!
Weve always liked their convenient system for curbside pickup. The store was not crowded when we actually had to go in on a Sunday afternoon. Love the large selection of Google Home devices, Lenovo clocks, & Skullcandy wireless earbuds.I do, however, miss the bargain DVD bins that used to be near the front of the store. I believe they removed them late last year due to pandemic safety concerns.
Had an issue with the mobile phone we had purchased Monday, went back to return it and upgrade to the S20 5g. With the excellent service from Angela the process was seamless. She wasnt concerned about the reasons or excuses about the first phone all she was interested in was making sure we received exactly what we wanted, I was sooo impressed with her knowing what she was doing. If you ever need help on a purchase of a new mobile seek out Angela.
