The store is well stocked and clean inside. The staff was helpful when asked. The outside of the store could use a little TLC. I will come back for any office products I need.
I went to the store to get a desk for my young daughter. They had several in stock and I found one that I liked. I asked for help and unknown to me the manager came to help me locate said desk. She came from the back and told me she had them in stock but could not bring it out due to its weight. I picked another desk I liked and she went to the back and told me she has 4 on location but could not find them and told me to leave my name and they will get back to me. I do not understand how a store manager cannot find there own inventory and or be able to deliver said inventory to there customers.
I really like the Staples in Summerville. It is very convenient to get in and out of for all of your business supply needs. They have really good prices and savings and friendly employees that are on hand to provide all of the assistance you could want. Awesome to have this store in this location. It is very well run.
I was trying to send a package and didn’t know what size box my gift might fit in. I asked a lady employee for help she told me to go to the other side and look for a box she didn’t know and didn’t even attempt to try and help me with looking for a box. She then told me to go to the UPS store across the street they could help me out better. Unbelievably disappointed in this customer service.
If you like being talked down this is your place. Very rude staff that can’t even pretend to be helpful. Amazon is cheaper and no one makes you feel stupid for asking for help.
Trusted twice never again for printing services systems need to be updated or corrected $11.80 to print 1 document sites wouldnt load or took too long to load will comtinue shop there but they definitely got to fix internet rental

Well I really just had a very unpleasant feeling at Staples.. I was browsing and I turn around and see a security guard stalking me.. I felt very uncomfortable. I will never ever go back to staples ever again.. So if you happen to go to staples be prepared to be followed. Crazy. And I was gonna buy a gaming monitor. I will go somewhere else...
Very poor service lazy people
I spent $150 on an HP printer/scanner in August. Ive been struggling to keep it connected to my internet - till finally it wouldnt work any longer. I bought it in Aug and tried to return in early Oct. I went to back to the store to pick out a new one and was met by a very friendly salesman who informed me HP is notorious for this issue. I wanted a different brand at this point - was informed they had nothing in stock and I would probably have a hard time finding anything else where. I decided to return the old printer (would have exchanged it, but there was nothing to exchange it with) so I requested a refund. Jess, the store manager, told me there was nothing she could do for me. Period. Nothing. I was outside my 14 day allotted timeframe. I told her the item was broken. Still nothing she could do. Didnt even offer a store credit. I left the printer on the counter and told her thank you for helping me throw away $150 - she nodded her head yes - She didnt care one bit and showed it.
Jessica in printing was such a big help with my order. Working alone behind the counter, She had 6 people including myself being taken care of, Waiting on more people in line plus phone ringing and was doing all this chaos Impressively efficient and fast when a customer with his rude outbursts went Verbally crazy and refused her help and he was very rude to her and the store manager in which they no way deserved. Just want to shout out to Jessica, “Thank you” and Say what a hard worker She is, that you have at your location. Order arrived today, perfect. Thanks again
I *love* this location! They are always so friendly and helpful. A special shout-out to the girls in the print department. I have used the print shop several times. Each time, they have been very helpful and knowledgeable. Approaching Christmas, I was ordering almost daily online. They always had my order prepared that same day with zero issues. They also went out of their way to make one order special.Highly recommend.
On 08/10/20 at 11:35 am I almost got ran over by a car. My hands were on the hood of this persons car that is how close I came to getting hit. The store claim, that is is no cameras on the outside of the parking lot. Please install cameras. It took a while for me to regain my self composure.
Horrible customer service! I was looking for item, the young lady assured me twice they had it in the store. Once I got there, no product!!! She just told me whatever I wanted hear to get me off the phone. Train your people better, Staples. Unacceptable.On the flipside of that experience, the young man who assisted me in the store went above and beyond to offer alternatives. Great attempt at service recovery.
My printer that I purchased from them was malfunctioning and wouldn’t scan without jamming. I went online and purchased another printer for $175.00 and called to find out if they could scan my papers to my flash drive. They wanted to charge me .55 cent per sheet scanned. I needed to scan about 75 sheets of paper so it would’ve cost me $41.25. I could understand if I was using their paper and ink but that wasn’t the case. That’s a big rip off if you ask me.Needless to say I cancelled my online order and purchased it elsewhere.
I called yesterday morning and asked if they have my printer ink that Ive been searching EVERYWHERE for, and they had it and held it until closing time for me to come and get it. Now my hpdeskjet is working like a charm*.

I highly recommend NOT visiting this Staples location. Especially if you’re planning on shipping anything from their UPS section if you want your package tampered with and the item replaced with something completely different from their store. Extremely unacceptable.
Ive be shopping here for years...always a great experience... every staff member is friendly and knowledgeable. They honor online prices right in the store.. the things you need are usually on sale. Those other STAPLES dont hold a candle to the SUMMERVILLE store
This school year, family did not have to go all out, like last years $4000 plus school spending spree. (Tax free weekend definitely a boost.) We again chose Staples for our go to. Strictly the items we needed, not the superstore crowd across the street. Prices comparable on somethings, but added incentive in percent off deal in purchasing a backpack and using rewards points. Received coupon for $$ off next purchase - will come in handy, as we only shopped for wide ruled children last night, and still have our college ruled children to go.
Kudos to Summerville Staples re Covid. Employees with masks, aisles in one direction and well marked. Carts sanitized and labeled.
I love the supplies. I have shopped here for all my sons educational needs for 5 years now. But suddenly the last few visits have been uncomfortable for me. I guess I must fit some profile they have because the last couple visits they have someone who follows me around in the store. I have nothing to hide at all. I am a former law enforcement officer so its sad and strange at the same time that this is happeningto me. I dont think I will give them anymore of my money.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Saw some great deals too. Not everything is priced as low as comparable items at big department stores but thats not why you shop there and, like I said, there are great deal there also.

Went to get a print and performed all the instructions to a T. Printer didn’t print and even the personnel tried and couldn’t get it to work. So if trying to get something printed it may or may not work. Hopefully didn’t get charged cause they put a hold on cards for $5
-Not A Comfortable Shopping Experience-I normally get my online post card announcements and invites produced at this location, so I havent done a lot of shopping in store. My husband and I recently went in to find a cash register for a business start up I am pursuing. After we were shown where they were, the guy who helped us turned to walk away, but then looked as though he wanted to turn back around and maybe stand there while we looked, but then left. We were very interested in the items on display, and began discussing which might be best to purchase. As we talked over the items features listed, a worker came over and interrupted us with, Do you need help finding something? We both looked at her, and while I tried to find the most polite words possible, I analyzed the situation before I spoke. I explained the obvious..that we had found the item we were searching for, and asked if she could tell that we were content and werent confused or searching. My husband and I continued discussing the cash registers after the girl left. We moved to another section to check out another item to compare features and pricing. Less that a minute later, I heard a faint voice but didnt even bother to look over at first. Then we realized someone ELSE was asking us if we needed help! And this guys even had his hands full! I understand if establishments may want to give their best to customers, but I would NOT approach a customer with Can I help you FIND something if they looked as though they seemed simply ecstatic over finding what they needed, and appeared to be making a decision! Well, unless I wanted to customer service them... Our complaint is not good customer service, but more borderline harassment.We spoke with a manager briefly about how we felt, but then decided to just leave.
Do not get phone screens repaired here! I came in with my iPhone 6s that had a cracked screen. The tech and I both signed a checklist to confirm nothing else was wrong with my phone. The tech told me the repair would only take an hour. I left the phone with him and came back 1.5 hours later, the tech hadnt even taken the screen off yet. I waited there with my kids for another hour. I got the phone back with a new screen, $150 later. When I was almost home I realized I couldnt turn up the brightness on the phone. I called Staples and was told to bring it in to check it out. I drove back to Staples for the third time. I was offered a different screen that did not even match my phone. When he put the new screen on, he asked me to come to the counter to see if the brightness worked. It still did not work. I also noticed he had the phone plugged in while taking the phone apart. Unloading the backlight circuit while under power will damage the logic board causing brightness levels to not work. Staples ruined my phone, which I use for work daily not to mention for my kids safety. Upon talking to Michael, the supervisor on duty, I was very disappointed with the way Staples trains their employees to treat customers. Michael was very condescending and rude. He smiled with his 1 front tooth while telling me this was all my fault, that it was probably like this when the screen cracked, even though the tech, Eric, confirmed the brightness and everything else was indeed working when I brought it in. When I told him I didnt appreciate his behavior he continued to be rude and didnt like it when I began recording his arrogance. Will be back with my husband tomorrow to talk with the store manager.

Self print services need some major help. Machines work sporadically and take forever when they do. Staff is helpful, but technology needs significant upgrading or replacement.

Terrible customer service! I ordered to have some pages laminated for my business. I can to pick up the order and it was done wrong. The manager Eric refused to help me and insisted that it was my fault and that I have to pay for it. It was $6 and I would have paid but they made me feel terrible and that it was my fault, when in reality it was their associate that made a mistake. I have several other potential clients that I will recommended to another place now and will not set foot at that store ever again. Very disappointed.
I was not very please when I went in there tonight to print something from my email...not only was there 1 young lady on the printing side but there was a long line that wasnt moving because she had no help. When I went to the manager to ask if someone could help her he clearly said there was nothing he could do and walked away.. he showed no care at all. I wont be coming back in there..

Internet was down and all the computers werent working. With that being said I was still able to accomplish what I needed. The employee directed me to another employee who was able to do what I needed.
Horrible. It took three tries to find a chair IN STOCK, brand new in a box. (We were offered a whopping 5% discount on the floor samples. Not a chance!) Then, the store could not process credit or debit cards. Then, the store could not process checks. Then, purchases could only be made with CASH. The cashiers were fine, hence the one star. However, management seemed to be a mess at this location. No stock and poorly run.
There are some things you just have to get at Staples cause no one else has it. Its good to know theres a place like this.
They told me to not get e tempered glass screen protector for my Apple Watch! That their liquid armor was just a good. And that it was guaranteed! 1 month later my watch is scratched. And I get a sorry. And if this product is that good maybe the employee put it on wrong!!

My sister and I visited the store today because we received a $10 off coupon, I bought an Apple adapter -- which I discovered was not part of the deal because its an Apple product. I dont mind that part, its my fault that I got that item and once I read the coupon, it stated it excludes Apple products. What I had an issue with, it the lady who rung me up didnt tell me what the issue was until we asked and still tried to hand us the item without saying how there was an issue. Service was not good, I am a customer. She didnt even greet us with a smile. When the manager came over, I think his name was Garlin (male) -- not sure how to spell his name, when he tried to fix the issue, he didnt even care to tell us either. Didnt even say anything to us at all. Both performed poor customer service, need to work on professionalism or not work with people. As a manager, people expect high quality professionals -- which we did not receive in the store today.
Took like 5 minutes to find a deposit register I was looking for, they had it buryed under some weekly planner logs.I was also going to get printer ink because Ill be out by next weekend but I had Sticker Shock after seeing the price. I guess Ill order ink online from B&H Photo, Ill just have to order extra to get free shipping

Im not sure what the deal is with the other reviews. I certainly have had some less than ideal experiences with any store in the region. As far as this one goes theyve never disappointed me as much as most stores in the Charleston/Summerville area. On at least two occasions theyve been head and shoulders above their competitors in both customer service and price. If you cant find it here for less chances are you wont find it anywhere in South Carolina at any price. The best example I have of that is inkjet printable dual layer DVDs. Decent brochure paper is probably another example. I could probably think of more, but that would just be boring. The bottom line is if these guys dont have it at a fare price your probably stuck looking on line. Welcome to South Carolina.

Kenny and his team are ridiculously responsive to my (probably unreasonable) requests for help and constantly surprise me with the speed, quality, and personalization of their services.

Today, I shopped at Staples in Summerville, South Carolina to purchase a Rubbermaid Air freshener that I had seen at a Chick Fil A restaurant. I could not find one so made some other purchases and after I had exited the store a male employee was out front, so I asked him if they had the air freshener. He seemed to be some type of manager. He flared up at me and said we have more than 4000 items in this store and I really dont know if we have the air freshener you saw online. He hurt my feelings so badly, I told him I was so sorry that I had bothered him with my question. I got in my car and left and he did not say another word. I just thought you should know. He was dark headed and around 50 years old and average size. It was 11:37 am.
