This place is great! Clean, spacious and with great staff. They have excellent prices and their gardening section is great.

They have various of things, people are friendly, and they are cheap. I think it’s nice how we can take our dogs too.

Most of the store is only 15% off; plants, lighting, cleaning items... but they are currently advertising 15 - 40 % off. Didnt see any true savings. For example, pack of water, 16 bottles, only $3.25. Can find this for less so until more than 50% of the store is really on sale, dont waste you time.

I went in to buy some flowers for hanging baskets and found a lovely assortment of annuals and perennials. The colors were vibrant, the plants were healthy, and most of them were on sale. I was second in line to be waited on so I checked out quickly.

Great place if you need a part to keep you home in shape. Much better than Lowes or home Depot if you need advice. Staff actually knows how to smile and many know a llot about home repair and maintenance issues. Only downside is they do not have enough staff particularly on weekends. I use them all the time unless I need materials for a more extensive project. They also can do things like repair screens and cut keys.

Im very sad that this location is closing. I found the staff was more helpful and customer service oriented than three staff at Lowes and Home Depot. Id recommend anyone who is looking for a good deal head over soon as the current closing sale had all items discounted between 20 & 60% off.

One of the last Orchard Supplies around with a few closing in the area this one is the best. Its the cleanest, friendly people good service and very organized. I love this place its like the candy store to me and Im 61 years old

This store will be closed by mid November per the banner there. Few heavily discounted hardware stuff until then if you are interested. Also they close by 6 now

Been here 3 times, always had to look for the people who work there and wait for about 10-15 min to ask what I want. Maybe was just unlucky and came when they had a really busy time, or they simply dont have enough personal. The cashier lady was nice though

Always a nice store to visit. Prices may not be great (more on that in a sec), but I bet it had what you need. Once owned by Sears, now owned by Lowes (I had no idea). Announced this week of posting, Lowes is closing all OSH stores. Being founded in San Jose decades ago, this closes a bay area institution. Everything is now on sale, first come first served. I bet the sale will get bigger as time moves on. Act fast.

The gardening section is awesome at this store. The store offers deals very frequently. So before you decide to buy anything, make sure you are buying it when there is a deal. The people working at the store are very helpful and patiently answer your questions (particularly questions related to gardening).

I like OSH because someone is always there to help you if you need help. I I very much appreciate they do not have self-checkout lines. When I go to competitors and there is only self checked lines open I leave the store without making a purchase. I do not get paid to self check and I do not want to take jobs away from other people. Thats another reason I prefer OSH.

They are going to close soon, all stuffs there are on sale now, not too many things left by now, but people there are still very nice and friendly.

The Nursery team is so great: quick to offer help and do knowledgeable and conversational. Things sodas a bit slower on the hardware side to find someones attention on a Saturday morning.

Friendly staff and always a good experience. Nothing to complain about the store and its staff. Just a warning about the minute key machine. OSH cannot refund if the keys do not come out right. You need to call the minute key customer service which is a hassle.

This is the place to go when you want a bit of the personal touch or are working on small projects and repairs.For larger projects or lumber I go to a big box stores.

Love the facelift. Amazing service all around. I just wish they had the item I was looking for (they ran out, otherwise this would have been a 5 star rating).

I have been shopping at Orchard Supply Hardware locations for over 30 years. Orchard Supply was purchased by Sears decades ago and gave up their orientation towards having enough plumbing, electrical, and hardware to be geared for large projects. Orchard Supply Hardware is more of a yuppie do-it-yourselfer outfit then it is a hardware store for farmers and contractors. Orchard Supply has a wide selection of materials for small Home Improvement projects. You wont find the breadth of electrical and plumbing that you need for large complex projects. HVAC parts are also very limited. This Orchard has been remodeled in the form of a high-end hardware store aimed at weekenders.

OSH has a wide-variety of choices in tools, hardware, outdoors and more. They answer questions which is a big bonus. A little less competitive on pricing than Home Depot or Lowes, but you get actual service.

OSH stores are right-sized compared to the big box stores, and while I really miss the Lawrence store the Sunnyvale store is nice, well staffed, and a pleasure to shop at.

Last time I went to OSH my credit card was compromised immediately afterward. I hadnt used it for weeks before that. This time I went to get some diagonal cutters and the selection was bad, many empty shelves. I think the place was better before with the tool corral, and has been going downhill in general. Very unfortunate.

Perhaps you will pay a little more at OSH than the bulk DIY stores, but the savings in time and efficiency are worth it. We purchased our Spring tomatoes here, as we have done for several years, and it was simple, quick, and helpful service. Kudos to the OSH team at Sunnyvale Saratoga

Im going to really miss these guys. Mighty slim pickens these days put some really good deals if you have time to wander around and look for them.

The liquidation staff are horrible. Rude, yelling at customer. All I wanted was to ask the price of the DeLonghi heaters, bc they werent marked. I got a tongue lashing bc I asked someone who was counting money, and the other staff was checking out so couldnt help me. I had to wait in line in order to ask the price, then if I wanted the unit, go get it, then wait in line again to check out. No thanks. Such a jarring change from the former courteous Orchard staff. I miss them.

Another casualty of the big box stores and of the internet who cater to the fast moving items. For those who needed the unusual part with some friendly advice, this is a major loss. Perhaps we will need to discard items for lack of spare parts. For those who shopped the big box stores for the popular items and finished at OSH for the last $20 hard to find part, that resource is gone for everyone. Same problem as the niche wood stores, office supply stores, etc. Maybe the niche markets will have a resurgence on the Internet. We can hope so.Thank you OSH for the many years of service. Wishing the best to the staff.

Sad they closed the one on El Camino and Lawrence. Its a dependable store we use a lot for big and small purchases.

Very clean and well-organized hardware store. Staff are easy to find and very friendly.

Ive been going to this particular store for years, mainly because of the collective experience of the employees in the various departments. So many plumbing and other problems solved with a little help and advice from the crew there, and theyre always more than willing to help.

I had goje over to Lowes in San Jose (by the airport) because it is closer to my home. Waited and waited for someone to help. Left and went to OSH in Sunnyvale and got helo immediately as I walked in the door. Guess where I will be going for now on? OSH thank you staff!

Ive been a customer of this OSH location since 1978, and I think its time to switch to Ace Hardware. Things have gone steadily downhill with all the OSHs, particularly since the remodel. Today broke the camels back; they moved all the electrical wire from the Electrical Dept., and they sell it in the Industrial Dept., as if it was rope. The Industrial guy knows nothing about electrical wire, so forget about technical questions which could make the difference between burning your house down or not. Add to this the removal of the drive-thru loading for heavy stuff, and less floor space for real hardware (but plenty of floor space for cheap Chinese patio furniture). Sadly, some corporate fat-cat making $100K+ thinks he did good by making these changes. R.I.P. Orchard Supply Hardware.

A fine hardware store, its much nicer since the remodeling.

My favorite hardware store in Sunnyvale. They have a good collection of nuts, bolts, screws, etc. The parking is also spacious.

Orchard Supply has been my first choice for all my miscellaneous hardware needs, but unfortunately now the store is closing - going out of business...I wont know where to turn... no place has a better selection of small hardware items.

Not enough cashiers as always. If you when it first opens up its the same thing, if you go in the evening it is also the same. It has always been like this since I have lived in Sunnyvale which is now 10 years. You write and complain or speak with the manager and nothing gets done. Now that Lowes bought them I was thinking that things were going to get better and guess what ? That is a big NO.Even my friends warned me and I go only if I really have too, if not Ill go to Home Depot or Lowes.Whos fault is it ? Well it is that managers of course with all past managers and the present one they have now. All you hear is I am Sorry and Sorry and one more Sorry. Employees dont care about the customer and they chat to much between themselves.
