Had tires shipped and appointment set via Amazon. Had 2 e-mail confirmations that appointment was set. I called the morning of and they didnt have my appointment. Contacted Amazon who contacted Pep Boys. They scheduled me for 10am, I arrived 10 minutes early. Was told Id get a call when it was done, I said Id go over to McDonalds while I waited, no expectations for a long wait were set. 12:00 rolls around, my car is still where I left it. 2 hours after my appointment. I collected my tires and left to get them done elsewhere

On 8/10 I made an oil change appointment for Fri 8/13 at 12p noon. I dropped my car off at 11:45a and spoke with the front desk attendant (name unknown) who checked me in and took my key. I advised him that I would finish with work at 3p and would return after that. He said ok and I left. I arrived back at Pep Boys at 3:21p and my car was still in the same spot that I had parked it in at 11:45a. I went inside, told Walter (front desk) I was here to pick up my car. He seemed confused and asked if I was dropping off. I informed him that no, I had dropped my car off at 11:45a for a 12p SCHEDULED oil change. He went into the garage briefly, and when he returned he informed me that the ticket was placed on a mechanics station who got side-tracked on another car and that no one had reassigned my car for service. He said itd be about 30 minutes so I sat down. When the car was brought around, the cost was $106.65! The receipt shows a cost of $94.99 for something called a Managers Special which I never ordered. I wanted an oil change. I scheduled an oil change. I should have gotten AN OIL CHANGE. There are several services listed as part of the Managers Special that in their rush I KNOW they did not complete, such as tire rotation. I never asked for a tire rotation or a brake inspection or Soltec Fuel Guard (listed on my receipt at $9.99)They also overcharged me for labor ($48.15 for

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!! Service was very slow. After the computer scan, the mechanics did not continue to try to find the problem. They just said that there was no problem, which I knew was not true. They recommended replacing the suspension. I took the car elsewhere, and the problem was that the brake pads needed replacing. While the car was at Pep Boys, no one ever called to tell me my car was ready after scanning it on the computer, so it stayed in the shop for 10 hours until I finally called. That’s when I found out that I could pick it up. I DO NOT recommend this place at all.

My experience with pep boys today on my new tires was great. Mike was very friendly and did a great job. I purchased Cooper tires because of i have Cooper before and were great. I will definitely go back to pep boys for any auto needs i may have.

Im usually very picky with auto shops. And been through my share. These guys at this Pep Boys are great!! Isaac was very helpful on the phone and checking me in, the manager Justin made sure I was taken care of. The mechanic (didnt catch his name) was very knowledgeable and made sure I understood the details behind what was wrong with my car. They also got me in right away. Im very pleased!! Give these guys deserve a raise!!

Nice people, apologetic but overall horrible experience. Dropped my car off at 9:30am with an appointment for 4 tires and an oil change, here we are. 7.5 hours later and still waiting. I was told it would be 2-3 hours, called every hour and they say another 1.5 hours, finally at 7.5 hours I just showed up and I’m told another 40 minutes at least. They say the computers went down and they claim their printer hadn’t worked in weeks, well, for a franchise that’s a terrible sign. Missed a day of work for this . My car was driveable. If they knew it was gonna take them over 8 hours for a 2 hour scheduled job they should have let me know way earlier, so I could have taken it to another location (this is a chain, not a mom & pop), or at least could have planned accordingly. Despite the awesome location close to home, I don’t think I will be coming back.

I scheduled an appointment for 9am to have my cars a/c and suspension systems inspected and arrived at 8:45am to see two other customers ahead of me. It took me 20 minutes to be spoken to, and that was because the counter guy decided to do so while he was still talking to one of the customers ahead of me. Based on the conversation he and one of the technicians had, they dont seem to work with what the Pep Boys website was offering because both expressed surprise and disappointment when I mentioned my appointment, and the remark They dont know whats going on down here... was made. I was also told that the a/c guy didnt come in until 10am so that part of my appointment would be delayed. Anyway, I decided to leave the car, and walked home.Three hours later, I called to find out the status of the car and I was told that the technician was just writing up his report and they would call me back shortly.Thirty-five minutes later, I decided to just walk over to the shop. As I stepped into the parking lot, it was obvious that my car was clearly not moved. I stepped into the office and asked the guy if my car had been inspected. His response: No. I just told him to hand me my keys, which he did. I had not seen this man before, but he did not even ask me to verify that I was the owner. No ID or other details requested. I just walked up, demanded the keys and I was presented with them. Excellent security system they have going on at this establishment, dont you think?Needless to say, I will not be returning there. My expectations were not met, since my appointment was not honoured. I was lied to on the phone that my car had been inspected, when it had not. I dont know what kind of system it is that Pep Boys uses to schedule their appointments, but clearly the shops do whatever they feel to do. I do not plan to schedule any work with Pep Boys other stores either for fear that I will meet the same fate, of having my time wasted. Spare yourself the hassle. Take your vehicle elsewhere.

I was so overwhelmed with the quality of this Pep Boys. I have never used pep boys for a major repair. When I calledJustin the manager he was very accommodating told me to bring my truck right over. My F350 was wired incorrectly. The alternator failed and he got the part replaced from o Rileys without my involvement. And then his technician Mike worked on my truck the entire day. He worked with me on the price I could not be more pleased. Even providing a lift ride for me there and back.

I took my car for an oil change at 7:30 I couldnt get a definite time that it would be ready because they only had two guys, I told them I would leave and they ciuld call me when it was ready. At 10:15 some one called to say my oil filters and sir filters need changing also. I was a bit taken back, because when I had my oil changed they would also changed the filter also. I was at work do I couldnt really get into with guy. After I was finished tried calling no onr even bothered to pick the phone up. My husband went to pick my car and my bill was $151.83 for an oil and filter change, not even the Dealer doesnt cost that much. Would NEVER recommend that place to anyone. Bunch of crooks.

They provide me a tracking number on the parts that was ordered which they received Wednesday today is Friday and I have no answer. Would not return customer svc was trash. I’m the workers are rude and will give you the wrong information so they won’t have to deal with you. Would not recommend service and customer service was unprofessional. I had to take my truck to a different store to get fixed after my truck was sitting there all day long.

This is normally the Pep Boys location I go to. However, I called earlier today for some information. The guy on the phone seemed bothered by helping me. I was told that Id have to come in today to pay for tires I need tomorrow. I told him I would call him back. I tried calling back several times a little while later, the phone would ring a few times, then disconnect. I called a different location, the gentleman placed the order and scheduled an appointment for me for tomorrow.

Terrible customer service. They place you on hold and hang up multiple times. I took my car for a simple oil change. It took them nearly 4 hours to then later on realize I had oil leaking out (never been an issue). Even when taking the car back it took multiple hours (6-7) to return my vehicle. After a damaged driveway, leaked out oil, my car smoking from leaking oil. Please save yourself the headache, time, and possible damage to your vehicle.

Made an appointment Saturday night to get my car serviced Thursday @1 pm. Arrived around 12:30. Guy at the desk asked how he could help so I told him I had a 1 o’clock appointment. He proceeds to tell me that they don’t offer online appointments at that location even though they are aware that customers are able to make them online. He tells me that they only offer walk ins and that they don’t have time to fit me into their schedule today. Stay away from this fake PepBoys and go to a regular location that has been a PepBoys for a long time.

This place was horrendous. I wish I could leave a negative! The store manager was the rudest and nastiest person I have encountered in a long time. Not only did they leave me sitting all day with no vehicle and no updates, they did not follow up with me on anything. They also tried to imply that i had broken parts when they were fine. Trying to sell me parts that were not necessary. There was no diagnostic done on my car at all. And the customer service line is the worst. I have been waiting for 5 days for a call back. This is going to be a while! Fyi, the manager didnt use a face mask when interacting or when he was in my vehicle.

Not sure if I would trust whoever quoted my daughter $845 to transfer tires to new rims I bought her. They said she needed to purchase all 4 TPM sensors that display the pressure of the tires on her dashboard. I Had the tires installed somewhere else for $80 plus $32 for all 4 air valves I bought at the dealer! the TPM sensores don’t need to be replaced at all don’t know where they thought they could scam a young woman. I now lack trust in PepBoys sorry to say but that is dishonesty with your customers who put the bread and butter on your table.

Ladies, stay away from this store. The store manager, Justin F. uses a sales tactic that is highly unprofessional. He makes you fetch him coffee using his ill-maintained Mercedes-Benz and then over prices you for parts you dont need. Pepboys Corporate should be conducting an investigation soon.

I went to this place for oil change for first time. Arrived 8am and they told me that the waiting time was 3 hours, I agree. But after 4 hours the service wasnt made. I ask to the staff who promised in 2 hours more will be ready. After 7 hours of wasting my time I took my car to Jiffy Lubes service and I was out in less than 30 minutes.My recommendation is, take your car to another place far away from this one. They will lie to your face and waste your time.

Car was towed here this morning by my husband and 3 hours later they told customer who was about to board a plane the car was never delivered....i called and they said no the car is not here I drove over and guess what....the car was inside their service bay being worked on!!!! When they first transitioned over to a Pepboys I started going here and everything was fine. The wait times have be getting longer and longer. This past time I dropped off car (Covid-19, usually I wait) for oil change, tire rotation and patch a tire with a screw in it. 8 hours later I had to call them about it. First, I was asked if I had the correct Pepboys because they couldnt find it. Then they miraculously found it and said it was ready. 6 days later I realized they never fixed screw in the tire but rotated it from the back to the front. I returned and asked for them to take care it and was asked to make an appointment. I explained no and wanted it down now and they said they couldnt. I certainly wont be returning to this location.

Pays no attention to detail. Came for a patch and they let me drive off with nails in my tires. Could have saved $400 had I gone to another shop but these lazy people couldn’t bother to check all 4 tires while the car was in the air. A light l didnt recognize came on in my car. Naturally assuming the WORST l took it in to be serviced! IPRAYED before going in, l was exhausted as l had just came from dialysis. Two guys at the front offeredto go to the store for me as l was totally fatigued. After examination of my car 2 guys came to talk to me, lthought this cant be good 2 of them have to break it to me !!!!!! Not a fan of Jose. Got my tire repaired but it was still leaking. Returned by the end of the week but my repair wasnt made a priority even though it was a botched repair. At the end Jose asked the maintenance worker if they should still charge me. didnt end up getting charged but still no respect for a customer they failed.

So I booked an appointment online for 1pm. I get there at 12:30 just to check in. The person at the front desk tells me “we don’t do appointments they put anything online. You can leave your car and it’ll be ready by the end of the day”. I’m like why should I leave my car there for HOURS if the online site ALLOWED & CONFIRMED my appointment time just for me to get there and be handled as a walk in. I call Corporate to complain, the lady tells me that’s not true and she would have the general manager call me. I missed the call (I was at work), I called back to speak with whomever called. The person who answered the phone had old for 20 minutes. Then came back on the line and said “I’ll call you back” and it’s a week later STILL no call. The worse service from the manager to the employees. Never again

I had my car repaired at this Pep Boys. (4397 N Pine Island Road). I used this shop frequently before it became a Pep Boys because of the proximity to my house and I was always satisfied there. However, after one visit to this car shop that is no longer the case.Not only did my repair take several days because they misdiagnosed the problem, but I had to return my car only two weeks later because the AC had gone out again. I had my car in the shop for an entire day again today and they still dont have a solution to my problem.The people at the shop obviously did not run checks on my car to diagnose the problem. I was able to tell them it was an electrical issue with the fan not getting power to turn on, but at the end of the day they blamed my AC not working on a button on the dash (obviously not the reason the entire fan system stops working).While working on the car today they switched a couple of interior dash lights on my car. They said they did this to check the AC (at no point was I called or given an estimate or anything of the sort). Now I am told that one of the two lights that they switched no longer works. I would assume that when you go into a car to test something you are responsible not to break that part, but apparently that is not the case. The light now does not work, and the shop told me that it was my fault because it was not working before it came in. Now not only did they not fix the AC they also broke one of the dash lights. I explained that the light should be ordered and replaced, but apparently it is a specialty part that has to be ordered. Only after an hour on the phone was I able to confirm they had to order the part. First the part didnt exist, then I was told I should know in advance the light didnt work because I had extra parts for the light in my car, then I was told it was special order and the manager needed to order it. I simply wanted to get assurance that they would fix the part they broke (a simple light).I left today with my car without assurance that the part would be ordered or even what the part was. When I asked for the part number, or a detailed statement about what they performed on my car they had nothing there. They could not even tell me a part number for the light.Needless to say this is the last time I will use that store.Do yourself a favor and avoid this place, the headaches today mean that I will gladly drive a little further to get my car repaired in the future.

I take all my vehicles here, Richard is always helpful at the desk and they are always fair with prices. They open early and usually get the job done same day, which is a plus if you do not want to sit around without a car. Probably the second negative review I have ever left about a company lol, but Pep Boys are scammers. They see a certain type of vehicle, and immediately they double or triple charge for parts or service.For example, break pads and rotors, Pep Boys quoted me at $900, went to local auto store, picked up parts for $250, and took to local mechanic, total with parts and labor, $350 or so, took him 35-40 min, so $350 vs $900 at Pep Boys, lost all respect for this place.

I rarely recommend places but I recommend Jacks. I have been there 4 times. I drive a beat up old 94 Corolla that has faded paint. I was embarrassed to take it in. I thought it might be the fuel pump. It just needed a tune up and a few things replaced. Still looks like a POS but runs great now. The guy at the counter, Rick, was very helpful and did not make me feel bad for driving such a beater. Since I live close by a nice lady that works there drove me and another customer back to our homes so we would not have to wait there, but the waiting area is very clean and comfortable. The prices are not cheap, labor is about $100 an hour,but I did actually have a repair there once that was only $20, and considering they only fix what is the problem and not just guess and replace stuff and hope they are right, and they dont break other stuff like I have had happen at other mechanics, then actually Jacks is not that expensive at all. I feel lucky to have such a professional and courteous and quick mechanic so close. Thanks!

I called around to literally 15 places for tires today. Jose (J) was very kind and very patient with me as I ended up calling him three times with questions. He gave me the best price, with as many discounts as he possibly could. I was charged nothing more than the price I was quoted over the phone. The gentlemen that assisted me (another Jose and Mike) were wonderful, and spent a lot of time making sure that I was fully satisfied before I left with my car. I will definitely recommend this location and return for future repairs.Thanks guys!!Edit...Two days after I got my new tires, I started losing air from one of my tires and lost a hubcap. I called and spoke to Jay. He told me to bring it right in. It was Sunday, and they were very busy. He squeezed me in, as I had to go to work. They found a nail in the tire. They repaired it quickly. Jay also ordered a set of four brand new hub caps. He called me the following day and told me that he got them already. I went back today, and they put the new hub caps on for no charge. I was out in 15 minutes or less.Im a VERY HAPPY customer!!Thanks Jay for all of your help!!

My family has been going to Jacks Auto Service Center for the past 25 years. I cannot even begin to say what trust we have in Martin and the staff there. We have had nothing but great service and great experience there. He is so honest with us. We have sent lots of customers to him over the years and everyone is so happy and pleased with them there. Martin and the staff are always friendly, they know your name when you walk through the doors, you feel welcomed there, not like a number at other service centers or the dealerships. I definetely recommend them to everyone I know. They are a top notch service center..

I arrived at 1:45 PM and they’ve made me wait to even ask me what I needed for 25 minutes. They never greeted me the customer service there is absolutely atrocious. When they finally called on me I told him I had an appointment at 2 PM and when they checked the sheet of paper he looked up and said did you make the appointment today and I said yes. The staff member said we don’t take same-day appointments and I said well your website does and he replied with an angry tone well the website is broken so we don’t take them. This is the fifth time I’ve been there and no smiles, no greeting, and a very angry attitude from the staff. I’m a pretty easy-going guy and it takes a lot for someone to push my buttons but this place needs to get their act together and provide good customer service.

I have been going to Jacks for 15 years or more. It is the best auto repair shop I have experienced. They are honest and highly capable and stand by their work. They never recommend anything that isnt absolutely necessary.Over the years they have saved me thousands of dollars from what I would have otherwise had to pay. In fact, thats how I came to use Jacks. I was quoted by another repair shop more than a $1,000 to fix my car and Jacks did what was necessary for about a tenth of that. If you want honest and excellent service, I highly recommend using Jacks.

Just left pep boys n WAS going to get an oil change even though it wasnt time but the truck was telling me time for oil change n I only had 2,400 miles on it. Well the mechanic Muhammad n co worker Josh were nice enough to help me out saying theres something wrong w the sensors or whatever n just to make sure it wasnt low on oil causing my truck to do this they topped it off w synthetic oil at no charge. I mean where do you get anything in this life free? Especially w/o owing. Not just that but the courtesy n professionalism of this store is rare. Thanks Muhammad n Josh you made my day. GOD BLESS

DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION, SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!!!The manager was nice but the auto techs are extremely rude. This was said to me verbatim, we(as in the pep boys team) are not going to waste our time with my tire!! He was so rude, obnoxious, ignorant, and etc. I was not an annoying customer. I just wanted to know what was wrong with my tire. I was so shocked! The tech wouldnt let up, he kept saying hes not going to waste his time. Waste his time with what? Im a paying customer with a problem in my tire. He didnt tell me what was wrong and no other tech would help.Disgusting I will never go to a pep boys ever again. If I could give zero stars I would.

Our friend refereed us to this location once we had a bad Experiences else where and I couldnt thank them enough, The manager is always Well informed and eager to help.There Team has amazing Customer Service there Aknowledgeable, Helpful and mostly but not least honest. My car broke down at 1AM. I had it towed to Jacks and then walked home and left them an email and received a call at 8AM sharp. I walked up to Jacks, gave them the key at 8:30AM. My car was fixed and I was back in the drivers seat by 12Noon. It was the alternator that went bad. They could have sold me a battery too but they were honest and did a great job on my car. I will go back again and recommend Jacks to anyone wanting a competent, honest mechanic at a fair price.

Never performs unnecessary work! Repairs are fairly priced and issues do not recur. Recently had transmission and throttle body issues, and Jacks Auto Service worked with the transmission repair business to make sure that ALL problems were corrected. Highly recommended.

Prompt and friendly service! I discovered a screw in my front right tire during my trip back to Bradenton. I researched tire shops on my cell phone and the reviews on this business looked promising.
