I have had nothing but good experiences at Jones Automotive. They are honest and superbly competent. No “service advisors” here, just really knowledgeable folks who are dedicated to solving problems. They have worked on two of my vehicles for a variety of issues and I have always been satisfied with the work done. And they’re really nice people, always ready with a ride home or an answer to a question.

They replaced my radiator on my 2010 Nissan Titan PRO-4X which it needed and Im grateful they got my truck fixed as quickly as they did. That being said, they left a rag under the hood near the fan, they did not put the cap for the coolant reservoir back on which I found out only after driving 150 miles to Eastern Washington. Brad is an awesome guy to work with as are the shop guys. But small things like I mentioned can become problematic not just for the clients but the business as well

Felt I was over charge, the first time I left and what was fixed stopped working again it cost over 300 dollars, took it back that cost another 350, then when I picked it up there was a dent above my back driverside tire, I had not dents or damage when I took it there so because I didnt notice befor leave, then I couldnt prove it was them, regardless I have dated photos of my SUV Un damaged and then w date and dent after them, so my point is they got over 650, and a dent that I didnt do and its not an easy one to get out.OUCH!!

Was recommended Jones for a parasite on the electrical line of a very old Vashon truck. Jones tracked it down and were top notch to deal with. While I could see they were extremely busy they made time for me and found the (kind of tricky) problem and got it fixed. Couldnt be more pleased.

The owner was incredibly friendly and managed to fit in my oil change without an appointment. He let me know about some other issues my car was having and would have fixed them if I hadnt been in a hurry. When I got into my car I found theyd vacuumed my floors! Im very grateful to them.

They got me right in, gave me a loaner so I could go to work, and had my car fixed by the end of the work day. Brad and his son, Gavin, run a tight, upstanding shop. Brad and all of his employees are great people that you can tell within 2 minutes of meeting them have a passion for cars and providing you with truthful, efficient service. I took a 71 240z into their shop that was about an 80% product and Brad fixed it up in about a month and a half and had it running at its optimum.If you have an older model car that needs some specialty work or just a general service, youd be a fool not to at least let them have a look and hear them out. Brad is also happy to drop you or your vehicle off in the event you need to leave your car at the shop, or otherwise dont have someone else to drive one of your vehicles for you, which is great!

A very honest business. They dont cut any corners or hide anything from you. I was referred by my family and I wasnt disappointed. They got my Jeep fixed and was sure to contact me, every step of the process. If you need work done on your car in Tacoma, I highly recommend this place to most people! Never let me down. This is an auto place that wont frighten you when you leave your car. Theyre very clear about what they do and while I guess I cant guarantee theyre the absolute cheapest, their prices have always been in the right ballpark after research. Friendly, too.

They’ve provided me with straight forward explanations of what needed to be done and I’ve never had them try to up sell additional services.

Im on the fence here. These guys do very good work and fairly priced, Ive no complaint about that.What I have a complaint about is the lack if communication and follow thru.I left my vehicle that needed major repairs done and told them what I wanted done and how soon I needed the vehicle (I had deadlines to meet). Not a problem they said. After 4 days of silence I stopped by. Well, because of family illness, nothing had been done. I reminded them if my deadline, no problem, they would get it taken care of. Another 4 days of silence, Im at my deadline. I call. Because of illness, the estimate wasnt done yet. I told them I wanted to take it elsewhere, they said they would have the estimate ready shortly. Another day of silence. I stop in to make arrangements to pick up the vehicle (in the meantime, Im renting another vehicle), and they have the estimate ready and promise to have it done in 2 days. 3 days, silence. I call, it will be ready tomorrow. Tomorrow, they call and it is ready.I would have been much happier if they had called me instead of me having to call them. And if they had followed up on their commitments.

Ladies and Gentlemen: if you are buying a used card from a private party or a used car dealer, get a PPI! It wont cost much, and it could save you a bad purchase. In the very least, what Jones Automotive Clinic finds after a thorough check will give you leverage for negotiating a final price. I scheduled a PPI appointment with Jones Auto sight unseen based on internet reviews. The owner was super nice and helpful, and saved me some $ on my purchase to boot. Very pleased, highly recommended, will return.

Compared to other automotive repair shops nearby they are expensive...but they are advertise for being affordable smh...

BEWARE this people are not honest as i over paid big time when my brakes need to be done and my mechanic was in vacation i came here and over paid for full brake job. when my mechanic got back to check the job (had squeak never went away) he show me new rotors where not use even do they charge me for them and worst part my rotors where cut below minimum thickness which is a safety issue and illegal and spray painted black to make them look new. wont never come here again.my mechanic did the brakes right way and no more squeak

Ive been taking my vehicles to Jones for 4+ years; for everything from a stuck liftgate to CVT service to new tires and straightforward oil changes. Im always treated with a friendly, professional attitude, and they have gone above and beyond multiple times. Theyre as eager to share their knowledge as I am to learn, and have a no-B.S. attitude. They eschew the upsell and focus on what the customer really needs. And they have a shop dog; cant beat that! Because of all that Ive recommended them to friends and family. Great shop.

Had a piece of the plastic undercarriage come loose. I call the dealer, they say they could fix it at the cheapest for $65, and I needed to make an appointment for a repair.I call this place, a mechanic named Gaven answers, says I can bring it in right away to get it fixed, and I get fixed for waaaay cheaper, with only ten minutes wait.Glad I called Jones.

Weve taken all our vehicles here, and appreciate them being so straightforward on what does/doesnt need to be done, and how to save labor. They have usually had a loaner for me if I need, and go out of their way to take care of me.

Good service, I came to these guys with an emergency and they took care of it, even gave me a ride home when I unexpectedly had to leave my car there overnight. The problem was fixed at a reasonable price, couldnt ask for more.

This is my favorite auto repair shop in tacoma. They have good knowledge and don’t kill you on prices.
