I was really impressed with the pissitive atmosphere of the staff as well as the looks of the place. The assortment of different plants and prices were really good. Even tried a wine slushy. Definitely would recommend this place and Definitely need to go back and get some more plants for the house.

We have only been twice and once was a craft show. Both days we left refreshed. Some places have the ambiance that just resets your frequency.

Don’t waste your time anywhere else if you want beautiful, different, high quality plants, flowers, fruit, and vegetable trees. It’s a fun place even if you’re just window shopping. The staff are always friendly and as helpful as they can be. Prices are reasonable and it’s the best place for the biggest variety of plants and flowers, accessories and everything else gardening. Military discount and Florida master gardener discount too. Also dog friendly.

Love the unique plants I find at Tallahassee nurseries! Sometimes plants are more expensive than the box stores (for example if you are looking for lucky bamboo, you can find cheaper at a box store). But the variety and quality of plants is awesome!

Amazing place. It’s fun to just walk around the place. Everything is laid out so well and the place is beautiful. There’s always an employee close by to help, but no one’s ever pushy or weird. Some employees know more than others, but they’ll ask a different employee for help if they don’t know the answer.

Flowers Flowers everywhere. It is a beautiful place with a large variety of things. The green bean and wax bean seedlings havnt come in yet. I love this podacarpus tree 🌳. I like privacy from my neighbors. The koi pond is nice for kids. Most of the paths are wheelchair accessible.

Had intended to ride my bike there, but wasnt able to due to not feeling safe on the road. Drove instead, only to find that the pollinator plants that the employee had told me they for sure had on the phone, they dont have and wont be getting any more this season.

Helpful staff and huge selection of plants. Magical and very natural place. Very aware and safe with covi-19 safety.My only complaint is that the greenhouse soil plants are pretty infested with fungus gnats and spider mites. No one seemed concerned about that when I brought it to staff attention. The greenhouse needs more attention/care due to those reasons. (So bad that we brought some soil plants home, lost several plants due to the fungus gnats taking over... got them under control, but still lost several plants. Mentioned this to staff, 0 care.)4 out of 5 stars because of that.

I called to make an appointment to have someone give me an estimate for some landscaping work, only to find out that they want to charge a $100 consultation fee just to give me an estimate. Theres no way in you-know-where that Im paying anyone just to give me an estimate. I now have appointments with two other very reputable landscaping companies to have them give me estimates, and neither of them charge a consultation fee. That ought to tell you a great deal right there.

Fantastic nursery with little walking trails. Beautiful selections of plants, flowers, trees, herbs, and garden art! They have a large selection of gifts in the gift shop. Plus they have coffee, beer and wine chillers. They have some ponds with coi fish and lots of frogs!

Oh my god, this nursery... absolutely amazing. One of the best I have ever been to. So much to choose from and so many unique plants!

Pretty place BUT - do not buy plants that you want to keep indoors. I bought two a couple weeks apart - boston fern and a meyer lemon tree for indoors and my house has become infested with fungus gnats from their soil. We have since put them outside to try and alleviate this, but I wanted these in my living room. I called and spoke to a woman at the nursery who told me to let the plants dry out completely and it will kill the eggs - did not work - Spent $40 on the plants and spent another $20 on gnat traps and fly paper - this is just crazy. Never had this happen to any other plants Ive had.We moved to Tallahassee from South Florida a few months ago and I now I regret giving my plants away. So much for thinking I could just replace the ones I had.

I had a special need for a specific house plant and it had to be in a red pot. Thats the kind of wife I married 47 years ago. Well, Savannah found the plant and helped locate the perfect pot, exchanging blue for red and repotting with special soil. Savannah then gladly carried it out to my car. She was such a cheerful and helpful employee that I felt compelled to single her out for exceptional customer service. I tipped her with a two pound lemon. No kidding. Please give her a raise.

I went there recently to buy novelty poinsettias from the greenhouse. Jesse was so helpful in getting the plants prepared and ready for transport. It’s a joy to shop where you get such wonderful customer service.

I have been visiting Tallahassee Nurseries for years, i love the location, the setting and the excellent customer service. Recently i called their office to have a large fountain installed in my yard. Their staff was courteous, timely and communicated well throughout the project. The project turned out great and i will definitely be visiting the nursery again soon.

My go to place for plants. Offers good selection, great, healthy plants, and great variety within what youre looking for. Want a Japanese maple? Theres about 8 types to choose from. They also sell fertilizer, plant food and accessories within the buildings, and you can also purchase bonsais and water/fountain features. While you are shopping around, you can purchase frozen wine, a beer, or lucky goat cold brew coffee to sip on during your trip. A mask is required while on the premises and social distancing is in effect. Another perk is that it is pet friendly.Couple critiques: if you ask customers to put their name on a list for a plant, that you actually honor that and call them when their plant comes in. I put myself on a contact list for a Swiss cheese vine plant after theyd sell out pretty quickly. Wrote down my name and number, and never received a call after they restocked it a couple times. I only managed to get one because my best friend went in there and saw one, and even then, an employee got it out of the back, or wherever it was. Fast forward over a month, still never received a call. I dont want to have to keep exposing myself to crowds there just to see if its in stock, which brings me to my next critique:Also, many days you see some big crowds there, especially on the weekends, where college students and older crowds pile up looking for plants for yard projects or apartments. With our county having its highest infection/spread rate among the college kids, and them being allowed to walk around coughing and sneezing with no masks on, it gives me anxiety when Im there. Even with social distancing in place many people just dont care and will walk right up to you when youre there first in an aisle looking for a product, so the least they could do is enforce their mask policy.

We were in town visiting family and had read the #1 rating from the Southern Living Magazine. During this stay at home time we have been working on landscaping projects but have been unable to find what we were looking for in Jacksonville. What an amazing nursery, choices galore at reasonable prices. Even though we were socially distancing the employees were knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We came home with a load of plants, the gardenias smelled heavenly.

They’re got literally every and any plant you could ever need. I love this place!

I purchased one of the 6 Ficus Altissima on Friday; I was unable to pick it up until today. When I called, they had said there were 8 in stock and said theyd put aside a nice one for me.I later got a call telling me they only had one left; while it was missing a few leaves and a little rough, I was assured it was still good and was offered a discount.I went to pick it up today; the leaves were heavily damages, some with large holes in them, and the plant was infested with Spider Mites. This is not the quality I have come to expect from Tallahassee Nurseries; while I returned the plant, I am very disappointed that it somehow went from 8 plants to one very poor health plant in the matter if two hours, after I specifically asked and was told that a nice one would be set aside.

Ordered a outdoor pot with a variety of plants for Mothers Day. The one my stepfather picked up was quite a different arrangement from the one in the picture they sent me. I was really disappointed and my mom deserved better. I sent an email to the woman who I dealt with, but no reply. Will not use them again for distance ordering.

How is something new and amazing to view great plants a little pricey but a great plant shopping experience.

They had the persimmon tree I wanted. Competitive price. The staff who showed me where the tree located was friendly also helped me find the fruit pictures on his phone to make sure it was exactly the type I wanted.

Came down for a day trip to wander around the nursery. I was very impressed with the selection and variety, as well as the very detailed information cards describing the plants. The little shops within were so quaint and had such an interesting selection of products from handmade leather goods to eclectic pottery pieces. Service was wonderful as well.

Took my family here for the first time to get a Christmas wreath, fell in love with the place and plan to come back to buy fruit trees and wife loved the greenhouse flowers.
