I went in here trying to find an affordable subwoofer/amp combo a few days ago and I was BEYOND impressed. I ended up buying a dual 10” Triton sub with a 100W Triton amp and I could not be more satisfied with my purchase. It makes my car that much more enjoyable to ride in and it is a VERY Pretty setup. Although I did not pay for them to install it, I highly recommend any work/product coming out of this business. Very nice selection

Had these guys install a dash cam this morning. Their hourly rate is expensive, but the final product was worth it. A very clean install with no visible wires, and it worked perfectly from the moment I drove away from their shop. Their estimate they gave me over the phone was also accurate, so while it was expensive, I was prepared going in and didn’t have sticker shock when they gave me the total at the end. Overall they do great work and I’ll recommend them to my friends. If anything goes funky with it in the coming months I’ll update the review, but for now I’m totally pleased with their work.

I have been using another shop in Tampa for car audio needs. The other shop has now become less then concerned about the products they are using. I had JL C3s installed at that place with amps and they added a JL Audio FiX 82 to my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Every time I hit a speed bump or even touch the brakes the sound would go to a horrible sound. Like someone through a blanket over the speakers. I took it back several time for 7 months they told me I play the music to loud and I had the settings on surround sound!I finally gave up with them. I walked into Soundwaves around noon on a weekday and explained to them the problem and by 3:30 the same day the problem was solved!The problem was that the FiX 82 does not work well in Grand Cherokees. They replaced the FiX with a AmpPro 4 (AP4-CH41) WOW! What a difference. My system is more than I expected.I explained to the old shop (AI) and asked if they could refund my JL Fix 82. Of course they did not.Thank you Soundwaves of Tampa. You are now my go to shop for car audio.

Unfortunately I am an audio head. I moved to Tampa in June 2015 and was very confused on where to go for audio work on my exotic vehicles. Went and paid a visit to Soundwaves and met Rob and Pete. Here we are 4 1/2 years later and I’m still dealing with them. I’ve ran through a lot of shops in Tampa and this shop is the realist it can get. As far as service, sales, cleanliness, professionalism, and downright greatness. Save yourself the trouble and go to Soundwaves. The supposedly beautiful and awesome looking other sound shops are terrible. Me and number of other people had to run ends with a lot of other shops. It’s a shame how Soundwaves is literally one of the few great shops in Tampa. Every other shop in Tampa wishes to be like Soundwaves.And if I ever move away, I will ship my car to Tampa to have Soundwaves all over it.

They failed horribly.Took my car to Sound Waves and they fixed the issue immediately for a great price.They definitely know newer cars and offer higher end components to install.Had a second issue from the first installer and Sound Waves took care of it again.Top notch costumer service and friendly staff.Everyone is respectable to you and your needs.I highly recommend!

I called right before close Thursday for an issue I was having with my Jeep, something i didnt even know if they could help with, and didnt expect to get in right away. They told me to bring it in the next morning! They said it was not safe for me to be having the issue and wanted to make sure i was safe! They had it finished that afternoon! They were so helpful, and instead of fixing the issue to where i would end up having to fix it down the road again like all the other shops i have brought it to, they gave me a permanent fix!! Great customer service, quick turn around, and amazing pricing! I will be back to have them do some stereo work for me now! Thanks again you guys are great!!

These guys are the best, took my 1980 International Scout in and they put a custom stereo system in that could not sound better. They customized and waterproofed the boxes, concealed all wires and even added usb power ports at no extra charge. I would look no further best shop in Tampa.

These guys did a great job in rescuing my Jeep from the gremlins left over from a previous aftermarket stereo install. They salvaged the higher end (but older) stereo (so I can sell the components off) and set me up with a more Jeep-worthy (simple) set up. Best of all, they quickly diagnosed the issue (electrical outages, hazards and locks flickering almost randomly) and set me on the right path. I was in and out of there in two days, compared to well over a week at the dealer (who did nothing to help with this problem). Kudos to Rob and the guys for getting after it.

Install took several tries to get right, left me on long road trips with no sound using headphones even though I spent 6k on a what I hoped to be a high quality system.When I had the system removed to sell the car my windshield was cracked and I was still charged full rate and told it was cracked when I arrived (mint condition Porsche 911 driven only on weekends.)Peter is truly smart and capable or this would be 1 star review, just be cautious.

They provided the best solution for me and the sound quality is amazing. Just have to go back for a few finishing touches however I am more than pleased with the quality of installation, parts, knowledge and customer service they provided and would reccomend them to anyone no matter how small or large your project is. Is it just me or does every stereo shop have that same chop shop, cover business feel... Product all over the wall, no uniformity, choose what you want to do and sell it, stick to it. No real customer service, stood in the showroom for like 15 minutes till some dude on a laptop happened to look up and say what up... I felt bad, I probably interrupted him from Facebook date night. And after all that they couldnt help...

I had a NavTV “bypass” and lighting installed in my new 2014 Raptor…Having just 200 miles on the vehicle, I was so happy to have such a professional crew doing the work. They went the extra mile to make sure all work looked like factory installs. I am so please with the guys there. I will be returning for more installs in the future

I had some weird buzz in my stereo as well as left/right channels going in/out. I also needed my sub mounted so it didnt move. These guys knocked it out pretty quick and solved my problems for $100 in labor. No parts were needed, and they took a horrible sounding setup and made it sing. Couldnt be happier and they really did seem like honest folks. I was able to leave my car with them and they slotted me in the next day. Super convenient if you have another ride.

Last year, these guys installed my system in my minivan. I have loved having a bluetooth connection for listening to books and podcasts! The sound quality is great and it is a quality install. About a week ago, the touch screen started acting up. I took it in and before my 4 and 6 year-olds could complain, it was fixed and we were out of there! Thanks so much!

Ive been going to Soundwaves for a few years now, theyve installed subs and amps in all my cars, and I am always extremely satisfied with mt experience there! The jobs they do are of the highest quality with great products, so I aoways end up with amazing sound. But beyond that, their customer service is awesome - they really want you to be happy with what your end results, and they have added parts and replaced parts at NO cost to me on more than one occasion, just to ensure I was satisfied! The owner Petee and his wife are really wonderful and down to earth people, and their staff follows suit. I think they are reasonably priced, and Im more than happy to give them my business for any car audio needs I may have. Ive been to other places before finding Soundwaves, and they absolutely dont compare - I found them based off great reviews and reputation, and now Id HIGHLY recommend anyone who needs audio/visual, or other after-factory work done to their vehicle, to check them out! Best experience by far!

In 2011 I took my red 2006 Mazda Miata convertible here. Paul, the owner, seemed like a very nice guy and Danny was the technician that did the work on my car. Who I later found out no longer works there anymore. I cant even tell you the countless amount of problems that I have endured from these people from working on my sound system. However, on their behalf, I will say that They put in two 8-inch Hertz subwoofers behind my two front seats and covered it very well. The company swore up and down that I should use Hertz when I wanted to use JL Audio because I was very familiar with that and to this day I believe Hertz isnt even very well-known. So i would be driving around after I picked up my vehicle and the music would short out after about 30 minutes to an hour. When I initially picked up my car and took it home I found a nail in my tire and a dent on the side of my car. I called Paul the owner and told him and he had it fixed immediately, but I was out of a car for a few days. Danny, the technician who put in the Hertz subwoofers as well as a Hertz amplifier said at first it was me blaring the music too loud and that the amplifier was over heating. Then i came back with still the same problem and he said oh, you need a new head unit and wires. Are you serious you want me to drop another $500 after he couldnt get it right the first time? Why couldnt he call me at the time of repairing the audio system and tell me that hey we ran into some problems here and this is what were going to have to do to fix it and it might cost a little bit more but we want to make sure that thats okay with you but nope, they didnt do that. When I took it back to them to tell them that the music was shorting out he blamed it on me for blaring the music too loud again. well I tried on my own and didnt play the music too loud and every single time I fail you not, it would go short out. I cant tell you how annoying this was. I couldnt enjoy my road trips with my convertible down enoying the music. I dealt with this the entire time I owned the car from 2011 to 2016. If you ask them how much their labor charge is an hour you will find out that they are way way higher than anyone else ($90 an hour i believe) in the area so do your research before you go to them. I do not recommend them doing any sound system on a convertible ever again. I am so dissatisfied I spent $1,200 on this sound system and i constantly had problems which they would say was my fault for one way or another. But the staff couldnt be nicer its just that they didnt do a good job on my convertible and I am extremely dissatisfied and feel that the public needs to know this about them and think twice before choosing this place. They do $90,000 jobs on audio in cars and thats where they put their effort into. My measley $1200 was peanuts to them but i was 22 years old $1200 is a lot to me and i feel i should be treated fairly too even though im not dropping $30,000 there.

Awful install of my new train horn. The location of the horns is terrible and even the switch to blow the horn is located so far under the dash its near impossible to use. I asked if they could re locate the switch and they wanted addition money to change location. Terrible experience. Looks like it was installed by a group of kindergartners during recess!!!!
