As a former General Motors Training Center Instructor and manager, I trained GM dealership and fleet technicians on how to repair GM vehicles correctly.Dannys credentials are real and place him at a high level of expertise in automotive service and repair. Brought my Corvette here because of the wealth of incredible reviews and, as you could imagine, I was still kind of nervous to let other people work on my beautiful car. Even though, I do not own a luxury car, he treated me as an equal. He was upfront and honest with me. He worked immensely hard at researching and figuring what was wrong with my car since there were no light triggered and no codes to run. The problem with my car was a bit of a mystery. I knew there was a problem but nothing showed up. Danny took the time to talk to me to get all the details about what the car was doing. He cared about my safety and wanted to ensure that my car would be safe for me to drive. He researched my vehicle and was able to fix my car. It runs better than ever now. I had my check engine light and stability track and other lights flashing on my Tahoe and it was running very rough, I didn’t want to get stranded when I pick up my daughter later so I called Legends and spoke to the owner he couldn’t have been nicer and told me to stop by and he would take a look and see if it was emergency or schedule a date when he could get me in. He took a look and had it fixed within couple hours and explained what the problem was and it was a fraction of the cost of other car repair shops!! It’s a family owned place owners wife works in office, they had their grandchildren playing in back. Great place great cost!! Will definitely be back.

Was told by dealer that car needed shocks. Went to Legends and they confirmed that the one front shock was defective and both in rear wear bad.Had Legends replace shocks. Saved over 30% from what dealer quoted and Legends also replaced front struts.Legends recommended additional services. No pressure to get them done but just an fyi so I would keep an eye on them.I will be bringing my car back in for service.

And the price he charged was so affordable, even with my being in a rush! I would definitely return to Legends in the future!

Ive finally found the Cadillac mechanic I was looking for. My ATS ran out of its factory warranty about a year back and Ive just started to have a few issues with it. I took it into the dealership and they quoted me $1700 for engine mounts and $1400 for a front engine cover leak (total $3100). I brought my ATS to Danny for a second opinion as the dealers quote seemed high. He pointed out how miniscule the front cover leak was and that it wasnt even forming a drop of oil. Nor were there any signs of oil drops on the bottom engine cover. Not only was that repair not needed but his quote for all three engine mounts was $800!!! Half of what the dealer was charging and he even used the same oem parts. After comparing the two invoices the dealer charged a higher $/hr rate, charged more hours than needed, charged for parts that werent necessary, and even charged 20% more for the same parts. Danny is a straight-forward honest guy and thats exactly what you need when youre car is no longer under warranty. I will be referring all my friends and family to him for their future gm repairs.

Although I had never brought my car into Dan for service, I had heard good things about his business. Just the other day I had made an appointment to get my XLR serviced by Dan. The rumors I had heard about how good he is were absolutely true. Dan put my car on a lift, checked and changed fluids,and did a general inspection of the major mechanical components. I took my car over to the dealership and got a quote to get my car’s compressor fixed bc my A/C went out. When I went to Legends, they fixed my car for less than half of the quote I got at the dealership and it only took them a few hours. A reliable mechanic is a one of those things in life you always want. I brought my Expo in to get serviced and have the shatter prone spark plugs replaced. Not only was the estimate spot on and the work completed on time, there was no pressure to get unnecessary extra work done. My Expo was running mich smoother and looking all spiffy when I got it back. Danny, the owner, even called me the next day to make sure I was satisfied with everything and there were no issues. Ive been bringing my 2004 Cadillac XLR to Danny at Legends for over three years and have always received outstanding and professional service. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed a bit of coolant on the garage floor and called Danny right away. He said I should bring it in. I was running late on the date of the appointment, but, as always, Danny and his crew jumped right in. I learned within five minutes that the water pump was bad. By this time it was nearly two oclock. I live in Tucson and had not planned on staying overnight, but Legends got right on it. They replaced the water pump, flushed the cooling system, and replaced the coolant. Because they always check out everything, they also found that the front core support was broken, so replaced it. I discovered en route that the seat belt light kept flashing on and off, and Danny quickly figured out that the problem was a chafed harness under they seat and they repaired that. It was completely and perfectly done by five. Amazing!!

I have two Corvette 66 Stingray Convertibles with 427 Cubic Inch and 66 GTO tripower convertible with 455 High Output. Without fail, Danny has repaired these cars at a very reasonable cost. Often times I initially had used other mechanics who were unsuccessfully in fixing an issue and without exception, Danny has troubleshot and repaired the cars each time. He is honest and does not just replace parts to fix things. Legends is a great service facility. When I first took my Vette there Danny changed all the fluids, did a safety check, changed the fule filter, changed window sweeps for me and made sure all my questions were answered.I called him two years later (typical Vette, low miles doesnt get driven much) about a fluid level. He remebered the car asked about it and spent 10 minutes with me on the phone. Danny is a solid guy and you can trust his judgement, I highly recommend his facility.

I was referred to Danny for work on my 1966 Corvette. The bolt holding the air filter came unscrewed and worked its way through the carburetor and into the engine block.Danny took the engine apart and only found a damaged piston (luckily!) He found a replacement piston for me, installed it, and got the engine running again.Most mechanics would have stopped here. But Dannys pride in work drove him to make the engine the best he could. He did some research and found that the carburetor was incorrect. He acquired the proper carb and installed it along with a better fuel line. He also created a new bolt to keep the air filter on. Even if the bolt would shake loose, it is impossible for the bolt to fall into the carburetor.Now, the car runs smoother than it has in 20 years. Danny found that one cylinder had been completely starved of fuel. He fixed the problem and re-tuned the engine. For the last 20 years, the engine had a hitch at around 3,500 rpm. Dannys research and work re-timed the engine so it now pulls evenly all the way through 5,000 rpm..Because of Dannys care and honest work on my Corvette, I brought my daily driver in for its 90k checkup. Even though Dannys specialty is not Subarus, I felt completely confident in bringing my 2005 Subaru WRX STi for Danny to work on. He completed the checkup and also got rid of some knocking in the rear suspension. While the fix for the knocking is most likely temporary (there was a bad lot of struts), when my budget allows, I will come back to Danny to have him replace the struts.Dannys up front honesty will have me coming back to him for all of my auto work.I highly recommend Danny, even if your vehicle is not a GM product.

I discovered Legends luxury auto repair though a referral about eight months ago, when I was unhappy with the estimate to fix my Hummer after visiting Van Chevrolet. I took my Hummer into Van Chevrolet because it was going into limp mode, they diagnosed serious problems that warranted fixing and wanted $3,700 to replace my engine mounts, throttle body, carb clean, and diagnostic fee. Later that day I called Legends Luxury Auto Repairand spoke to the owner Danny Smith (30 years experience GM master certified technician, master certified in XLR and ASE advanced), He patiently listened to me for about 15 minutes and then told me to bring it in no charge to see what he thinks is needed. He determined the next day that the engine mounts should get at least another 50K miles, carbs can wait to be cleaned, and the only thing needed is that the throttle body just needs a thorough cleaning and that should solve the engine form going in limp mode. He proceeded to tell me the charge, which was $347.00 and I was most grateful (3,700 down to 347.00, over 10 fold cheaper). I was able to pick my car up later that day and never had that problem since.Since then I have used Legends Luxury Auto Repair and had the most fair prices and best prices in my 40 years of owning a car. Im a big fan of Legends Luxury Auto Repair and recommend all my friends, family, and patients to them and they rave to me how affordable and good the service is!Dr. Bolte
