That’s how this scam dude Grig did a body work on my car, for a hood a fender a front bumper he charge me over $4000, first I talked to him it was $1400 and later he added without letting me know, the owner of this place is a scam Garbage. Do not look on google ask someone some friends.

Autocrafters is top notch. Their customer service was beyond what you would expect to get at a body shop. They definitely went above and beyond after I got in an accident. I was referred to them and am very grateful that I was. When I took it to them I had a stereo I was in the middle of installing, and even though its not their specialty they went ahead and did the job for me! They were quick, and extremely reasonable price wise. Im going to be doing more modifications to my Lancer, and I know exactly who Im going to for it! These guys make you feel like family, and went the extra mile, even called me back a week later just to make sure the job was satisfactory. You just dont get that level of customer service at many places anymore, ESPECIALLY garages. Glad to say I know some great mechanics who are trustworthy, can/will do it all, and do whatever it takes to satisfy their customers. Thanks guys!

These guys over billed an unsuspecting family friend to the tune of 10k (Im not making this up) for replacement of headgaskets, hoses and a turbo. For perspective, thats $4500 more than the dealership (universally the most expensive option) charges for the same work.Multiple mechanics for second opinions have called their bill borderline criminally exploitative.Pricing aside, the headgaskets they replaced started leaking oil 2500 miles later. The entire motor has gobs of dollar store sealant haphazardly around the leaking gasket. The worst work Ive ever seen. No surprise they would have nothing to do with honoring their work.Buyer beware. There are many better choices in the valley

Greg the owner really helped me out. I heard a sound on my car as I was about to drive to Texas. He looked at it for free and said it was my tyre. At first I thought it can’t be that. So I changed the tyre and it was gone. Greg is very sincere, hard to find a workshop with good sincere guys. Stick with Greg hes very decent and trustworthy. I had damage everywhere on my car. There were 4 different claims submitted to insurance. The insurance company almost totaled my car. I was overwhelmed with the claim process but Thomas the General Manager of Autocrafters took everything off my shoulders. The professionalism of this company and talent exhibited in the restoration of my car is to be commended. Just had the front end of my truck rebuilt here! This shop is always my go-to for honest, no-nonsense repairs and maintenance.Ive tried other shops, and more often than not got burnt by dishonesty or poor work. Thats not the case here, Greg the owner and Kyle as the manager took great care of such a massive project (my truck is heavily customized and required lots of R&D on their end), and I cant imagine I wouldve been happy if I took it anywhere else.Theyve done work for me ranging from dings and dents, to massive repairs and maintenance - even worked on and restored my dads classic cars as old as 1955! Look no further for a full service shop ran by honest and compassionate people.

Very kind and friendly. Love the dogs. I put a two star because they wanted to charge me a lot for a clutch replacement. 478 for parts and 702 for labor? No thank you! Found a place that will do it for $300 cheaper. Would I recommend to a friend? Probably not.Edit: The repair ended up being what they said it would, but at a different place, so i will change my star rating. I do however feel like they tried squeezing some extra money out of me with repairs that werent needed, so with that Ill do four stars. I would recommend this place to a friend who had the money and some decent car education.

I went to auto Crafters with a missing bumper and dented passenger rear door. Greg and staff took great care of my car. Looked amazing. He went out of his,way to add missing fins for a final touch. I would recommend this shop it really made a difference in my car.

Top notch service. Knowledgeable, helpful, fair. I came in to get a flat fixed and because I have a hard to find size, Greg didnt have any in stock. Instead, he spent 30 minutes personally helping me find a nearby vendor that did have the tires I wanted in stock, and even negotiated a discount for me. Meanwhile, he gave me some great maintenance tips. All this while trying to sell me nothing. Exceptionally good service for a body shop, I highly recommend coming here. Just look at the cars in the back- you can tell serious car guys get their work done here.

I have had a lot of mechanics try to rip me off and i didn’t know better at the time. But autocrafters is my absolute favorite because they have always been honest, thorough, and explained everything to me. They find me cheaper parts when I need something replaced, they often cost much less than what I expect and their work is flawless. We moved across town but I still always take my cars there. Recently we had a broken A/C so I took it in. They weren’t sure what was wrong, ended up taking it to the dealership for us because it had a recalled part in it, and dealing with all the dealership nonsense for us. We also got a taillight fixed and an oil change and it cost us like 200$. I seriously love these guys, they are honest and of course the dogs around the shop are wonderful.

This shop is OUTSTANDING. Kevin was great right from the first phone call. I was in an accident where I was the middle car in a 3 car collision. Fortunately the guy who hit me had insurance, but naturally the insurance company was giving me the run-around from the get-go. I thought this was going to be a nightmare since that’s how the insurance companies operate. That’s why I’m glad I chose AZ AutoCrafters. Kevin was awesome dealing with the insurance company for me. He really knows what he’s doing and when the insurance company started making things difficult, he stepped in so I wouldn’t have to deal with them myself. When there was an issue regarding the authorization of repairs and authorization of the rental car, Kevin handled it right there on the spot. They really do a great job….and there’s an Enterprise Rent a Car literally right next door so it made it super easy to drop my car off.They made this such an easy experience. I would recommend them just based on the quality of the customer service alone, and of course my car looks great too. It looks better than it did before I got in the accident. They do outstanding work. This is a quality shop…very professional. Above and beyond from start to finish.

I really like this place, and recommend them to anyone. They are honest mechanics that care for there customers. After my jeep was repaired they called back and ask if it was still running fine. I never had an auto shop call me back until I came to this place.

My favorite place to go for my car.

I took my car to get it fixed for a coolant issue. My main hose needed to be replaced. They insisted I get the thermostat and housing replaced as well so I said ok. When I went to pick up my car, everything ran well but the very next day the car started overheating. I told them about it and they were just very obtuse about it. I paid them $430 to fix my car and when my car still had issues the next day, without looking at my car to see what the problem is, the owner said its most likely going to cost me lots of money to fix it and recommended I just trade in my car for another one at this point and get rid of it. Rather than telling me this from the beginning, he waited till they got money out of money first to advise this.

John helped me out of a bind after my truck was damaged while on vacation. Got the truck back up and running and got me an estimate for the remaining repairs. Quick, easy, and straightforward. Thanks again!

If you are looking honest, competent mechanics, this is The place in Tempe. If you want cheap, go to most of the other guys and learn about the high cost of cheap labor. Cheap usually gets you poor work and often dishonest recommendations that you dont need.I highly recommend AutoCrafters. They took really good care of my truck. I recently got into a car accident and went to the collision center that the insurance company suggested we use (lesson: never go to a bodyshop the insurance recommends). I had to take it back and fourth to that body shop 4-5 times without any luck. I had it so I went to AutoCrafters after hearing great reviews and getting a recommendation from a friend. Greg and Randy have always been attentive to my needs as a customer as well as addressing each and every concern I had with my car. They went out of their way to fix what the other shop did but also fix things that were not done before. Greg is truly a consumer advocate and will fight for the customer 10/10 times. I would not trust my car to anyone more than AutoCrafters. They are honest, quick, and reliable. They will not nickel and dime you and tell you to get unnecessary repairs!

Autocrafters really values customer service and their customers. When I dropped off my car to get fixed they offered to drive me nearby to my school while I wait 5 hours to get my car fixed. I was surprised and impressed. Fixing the car was obviously great, Im now driving with my cold A/C working again.

Stopped by to have a dent checked out on my car. Just wanted a quote for the repair. The guy who was helping me told me that he would need to repaint the whole side of the car and it wouldnt be possible to get the curves in the body to line up again. It seemed like he didnt want to give me a quote or was trying to scare me off. Very strange experience. I dont know how their work is, because I wont be a customer.

Watch Out for these Folks! Specifically the owner Greg. Yelp reviews are more accurate than Google Reviews for these guys FYI.To Jump right in my car was not starting, before I started to throw money at parts trying to figure out what it could be, I decided to get it professionally Checked out. After calling around different shops I stumbled upon Autocrafters. Greg was friendly personable made you feel like you could trust him. So I had no problem having him take a look at my car to see what the problem was. During our phone call we agreed to do a DIAGNOSTIC CHECK. As stated before I need to figure out what is wrong with my car. He agreed with the Diagnostic Check and even stated he would waive $50 off my initial tow for it to get to his shop. As a customer I was ecstatic that he went over and beyond to help me out. Little did I know it was all a facade.So the Following Day when my car arrived in his shop he quotes me it is going to be $1600 for a Fuel Pump Replacement. Now we all know it does not cost that much to replace the pump. Even with top of the line parts. I know my car and what she carries. So I kindly decline and state that I will pay for the DIAGNOSTIC CHECK and get it fixed elsewhere. I just needed to make sure it was the Fuel Pump that was really the problem before I spent unnecessary money. So I payed for my Diagnostic Check and let Greg Know that I am having a Tow company tow my car from his shop to a different mechanic. He agrees that this is Fine and said he will hand over the keys to them when they arrive. Perfect. The Morning my car was supposed to be towed from Autocrafters to the new Mechanic he texts me stating that I have a remaining balance of $79 dollars. Now i am expecting to pay $25 because that is the remaining balance after the waived $50 off tow. (TOW was 75) Immediately I ask were is this coming from and he states it is for the tow fee, I reminded he stated that he would waive $50 off the tow. He then goes and states he never said that and says ONLY IF I SPENT $500 or more then he would waive it. He NEVER stated that I had to spend a certain amount for the tow. So I refused to pay it. He then claims HE WILL NOT RELEASE MY CAR UNTIL I PAY THAT BALANCE. I still refused and HAD TO CALL THE COPS to get my car out of his possession. That in itself was a 3 HOUR ORDEAL. Finally when the car finally is released and towed away to the other Mechanic. I get a call from my new mechanic stating AUTOCRAFTERS NEVER PUT THE PARTS THEY TOOK OUT BACK IN MY CAR FOR THE NEW MECHANIC TO FIX. I call AutoCrafters, and they said they are not responsible for my parts STATING BECAUSE I DID NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AND SPEND OVER 500 DOLLARS THEY WILL NOT PUT BACK ON THE PART THEY TOOK OUT! So i had to have the New Mechanic go over there and get my parts back for my car. Long Story Short I will never ever ever ever ever be doing business with this place again. Greg is a whack job that is inconsistent with his word. This is not how you do business. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

I would give Autocrafters ZERO Stars if I could.My sister took her car into Autocrafters because she blew her head-gasket; the car overheated. They told her she needed 3 new hoses, a new head gasket, and 6 spark plugs. Then, they told her the cost would be $3,000 FREAKING DOLLARS!!! Let me put that into perspective:-The 3 hoses...$50.-The 6 spark plugs...$15.-The head gasket...$50 (max).-Total of a 4 hour job.The parts would have cost $115 max. That results to $2,885 for four hours of labor. Thats over $700 per hour! Doctors that earn $150,000 per year make around $40-$50 per hour (after taxes). What makes these crooks think they deserve 14 times more than a doctor?Also, the car cost my sister $1,200. Why would it cost almost three times as much just to replace 3 hoses, 6 spark plugs, and a head gasket?Hmm...buy three sets of parts or buy A WHOLE OTHER FREAKING CAR? Oooh, thats a touch choice there (sarcasm).But, heres the REAL kicker! Replacing those things would NOT have fixed the problem. Turns out, there was A LOT more wrong with her car:-The thermostat was bad. This caused the over heating!-The radiator was bad and caked with rust. This helped cause the overheating.-The lower end of the engine went bad after the overheating.They never even addressed these problems.Basically, they were just going to put a band-aid on the problem and charge her for a complete operation! NOT replacing the thermostat and radiator would have resulted in ANOTHER over-heating and ANOTHER blown head gasket. The whole engine needed to be replaced and all they wanted to do was replaceThese people are crooks. They saw my sister didnt know much about cars and they thought they could rip her off. Shes lucky she talked to me about it and I was able to refer her to a reputable mechanic that changed out her whole engine for less than $800. I changed out her radiator and it cost less than $80 for the radiator and only $40 for the fans. So, for less than $1,000 we fixed the whole thing when these crooks wanted $3,000 for 3 hoses, 6 spark plugs, and one broken head gasket.The mechanic we talked to said, replacing those things would have let her drive her car for ONE HOUR before the head gasket blew again.I cant believe these people can live with themselves doing that to people that dont know any better. Id like to say some VERY strong, colorful words here but I know my comment would probably get removed. Basically, stay away from these crooks (and calling them crooks is putting it lightly).But, wait...lets pretend these guys arent crooks. Then, WHY DID THEY MISS SUCH OBVIOUS PROBLEMS LIKE THE BAD THERMOSTAT? Why didnt they see the bad radiator? Why couldnt they deduce the overheating caused some other problems? Why put a band-aid over such a HUGE problem?Two things we can conclude here:-If they are lying scumbag crooks...STAY AWAY!!!-If theyre not crooks...then theyre VERY bad mechanics...STAY AWAY!!!

No pics to post today but the one guy I respect most at Auto Crafters, is Randy. He is the guy. I take my 2015 Buick Lacrosse and my wifes 2016 Ford Fusion for service work like: tune-ups checking/replacing air and cabin filters, breaks, replacing mirrors etc. They also do painting and other forms of work. Check them out if your in the area but ask for Randy.
