My vehicle was towed in on a Sunday night. Early Monday morning, Melissa Reno called me and I told her what the problem was. She calmly allayed my fears, one of which was how I would be able to get a ride to pick up the car when it was ready since I was from out of town. She was constantly in touch with me by phone or text, telling me what the problems were, showing me the video of potential problem areas that needed attention, what they would cost, and when I should expect the job completed and get my car back. In all these interactions, Melissa was polite and professional. She clearly and patiently answered all my questions. Her explanations were meaningful and they removed any doubts I may have harbored in my mind. The car was ready even sooner than she had indicated, and I appreciated that very much. I had wanted to tell her in person how grateful I was, and to let her know what an asset she is to BMW Volkswagen of Topeka, but she was gone by the time I arrived at the dealership. Melissa is a true and trustworthy representative and loyal ambassador of the Topeka BMW dealership. It is because I know that she would always take a good care of my vehicle that I bring it to Topeka for service instead of leaving it in the hands of import mechanics in my city. I hope that the upper management and owners of BMW Volkswagen of Topeka realize what an asset Melissa is to that dealership and give her a salary raise and other rewards without delay in recognition of her invaluable service. As a former head of a unit, I used that method to keep my most productive workers.

We live in Arkansas and had terrible luck with dealers here. We called BMW of Topeka and they were quick to respond, to assess our trade and to get us the price we wanted on our new X5. We worked with Jordan who made this a seamless transaction. Our car (and gift) were ready, along with our paperwork, when we got to the dealer. We were in and out in under an hour.

All my years of owning vehicles and taking them in to be serviced I have never experienced the customer service I received at BMW/ VOLKSWAGEN in Topeka, Ks. There was a big recall on my car that I didnt know about. Melissa took the time to explain the recall to me, set me up to bring my car in, put me in a courtesy car.Not long after dropping my vehicle off I receive a text from BMW regarding my vehicle. There was a 32 point inspection, video of what needed to be fixed and pictures of what needed to be repaired/ replaced. I also had 4 critical things that needed to be taken care of with an estimate of what it was going to cost. A few of the things I declined at the moment as I was only wanting the major repair to be taken care of.After having my car for 2 weeks I received another critical text about my vehicle. In this video I was shown that the bottom coil spring had broke when taking the sway bar off my vehicle to get to the area they needed to repair the major issue I was having. After watching the video I was advised that I would not be able to drive my car without having the coil replaced. I was devasted as I didnt know how I was going to afford that bill. After talking with Melissa and the General Manager of service, they concluded that they would cover the repair as they werent sure if they were at fault for the coil breaking or not. They werent sure if it was cracked or not when the sway bar was taken off. I was shocked when I heard that as I did not have the money to take care of that problem at the moment.In my opinion the whole service team went above and beyond to take care of me and my vehicle. I will be forever grateful for the outstanding service I received. I will continue to take my vehicle to BMW/ Volkswagen as long as I own my VW.

I cannot express just how good our experience here was! Ben was our salesman and we were immediately impressed with his knowledge of the vehicle we were looking at and never once felt as if he wasnt honest or was trying to pressure us into a purchase. I have never liked car salesman and can say that this man earned my respect and future business. He took the time to make sure every question or concern was handled completely. Besides his honest and professional personality he has a stupendous taste in shoes and a very talented barber! I was very impressed with the respect he showed my girlfriend, making sure she understood everything she had a question about and treating her unlike 99% of other salesman she has dealt with. There is also a very detail oriented and professional detailer that has a gift with getting the cars spotless. Kelby detailed our Jetta like a wizard! My old 2009 VW Beetle had the ignition switch repaired at VW of Topeka. One part was slow to arrive, but then we learned we needed a 2nd part which was shipped quickly. My car was finished in about 10 days. I was very happy to get the problem fixed.

We came in to get work done on my 2011 128i convertible and really enjoyed the loaner 2021 X1 xDrive28i the dealership provided us for the day. We saw it was for sale and asked about a trade-in.Mike and Jordan and Melissa were incredibly helpful and made the buying process so easy. They went out of their way to make our trade-in more favorable for us and helped us with an ID Me military discount. Mike looked into whether the warranty on the X1 applies when we move to Germany with the military next month too. They happily looked into some Bluetooth issues we discovered during our test drive. What’s more, they covered the work we originally came in for on our old vehicle.We’re excited to pick up our new ride today and looking forward to more trunk space!

This was the smoothest and most efficient dealer experiences I have ever had. I am in the Houston area and there were no Atlas models to our liking around town. I cant believe all the good reviews for this when I had the absolute worst experience here. I submitted an application online and gave my information for a deposit but when I came in I was told it was just conditional and did not guarantee my ability to purchase a vehicle. Could not believe it when I was already approved and put a deposit towards the car I was interested. When I offered to pay cash for the car up front the sales associate tried to bully me into not doing so. When I said I was not interested then I was bombarded with phone calls and emails daily but when I finally responded to one of them with my concerns, I never heard back again. I finally went with BMW of KC and explained my experience they were nothing but kind and got me in the vehicle I wanted without any issues. 15 years of buying vehicles and this was the worst experience by far.

My husband and I recently traded in my BMW X series SUV for an M series sedan. Ben Endicott was our client advisor and we couldn’t have asked for a better one! Ben was so professional and informative throughout the entire transaction. Ben even took time out of his way, to drive the sedan we were interested in, to our home, for usto see in person. Ben went above and beyond to ensure we were happy from beginning to end. We both appreciate everything Ben did during this vehicle exchange. VW sent out a recall for the driver side airbag for my car. I contacted BMW/VW to get it fixed and they scheduled my appointment nearly a week and a half in advance. They were the ones to schedule my appointment, not me. They scheduled it for 7:45 am in Topeka KS when I’m from Manhattan KS. We wake up and drive an hour to get there by 7:45 and they tell us it may be in the late afternoon when it’s done. Around noon they sent me a video message of what they did. They said that the parts that were needed for the airbag recall were on back order and I would need to come back. This appointment was specifically made for the airbag with plenty of time before hand to get the parts in for my appointment. I wasted time, money, and gas by waking up at 6 am to drive an hour to get this fixed and now I have to go back. They either should have known the parts were on back order, or called me as soon as possible telling me it would be better to reschedule. How do you not know you have parts that are on back order after you schedule an appointment? Wasted my time and they should be better. For goodness sake it’s the stereotype of “BMW” being the best cars out their, sike, be better dealership.

Very poorly run service department. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle elsewhere if you are able. Would be worth the extra drive to not have to deal with the service advisors here.I had made an appointment weeks in advance to come in for a simple oil change. Service advisor called me at 5 p.m. the night before to try and tell me not to show up for my appointment the next morning (after I had confirmed my end of the appointment multiple times that week at the dealers request including the morning before). I called back later that night and the next morning to talk it over, they did not answer nor return my message. Went there for my scheduled appointment and was told appointments didnt mean much as they work off of who shows up first. My 9:30 simple oil change they could maybe do me a favor and work late and get me out by 1 or so. During this time the service manager also agreed to do a favor for every car in there to push them up in the queue, which puts us all back at the same spot and leaves everyone frustratedAfter hours of expressing frustration while sitting there waiting, they finally performed the service that they had promised by accepting my appointment. In doing so, they graciously washed the vehicle (as any dealer will do), but did not return my floormat that they had pulled from the vehicle. After weeks of calling and emailing, I have still not received a call back nor been able to talk to a single employee in the service department. Please do yourself a favor and get your services performed at an establishment with competent employees that are willing to do the very basics like returning a phone call.

Much gratitude to Doug and his team in Service. We were on the road in our 2018 X3 driving from Houston to Sioux Falls to settle my moms affairs after she died. We experienced a punctured tire and stopped 35 miles north of the city. BMW roadside assistance arranged a tow back to Topeka where the service department checked out the tire, determined it wasnt fixable due to location of puncture, acquired a replacement tire expeditiously and got us back on the road by 5:30 p.m., 4 and a half hours after the incident occurred. We were impressed with the care and extra effort taken to get us on our way

2nd time at this location. 1st time was over 2 hour wait for light bulb replacement, 2nd time arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early, told it would be 10 minutes before I would be spoken with which was fine I was early. 20 minutes after my appointment time and still not seen,after my first experience I was not looking forward to an extended stay at the dealer while I waited. After already waiting so long after my appointment I left. I drove an hour one way to this appointment which was suppose to be an alignment and oil change.Poor business. At this rate I would rather just trade my vehicle in for something else then deal with this service location again.

My engine light came on on my TDI, while on a trip. 30 miles up was BMW of Topeka. Melissa got us settled, and got our car in line for service. Great waiting room, good snacks and drinks. Service manager and the mechanic who worked on the car were fantastic. They had us out with a new heater core and front brake pads and rotors within 4 hours. There was a little anxiety as it was close to closing, but they had a hotel voucher ready if we would have needed it as it was warranty work. Thanks to Melissa and Max for the great service. Also the shop manager although I didnt get his name. Melissa also checked up a couple hours after we left as she had gone home for the day. Super good experience.

The work performed appears to be done correctly by the Service Department. I had a diagnostic inspection performed after I noticed an engine light display on my dash. The test and visual inspection lead to two fixes.I have no reason to believe both corrective measures will be successful but additional time will tell. However, it took 20, yes, TWENTY days to have the work performed. No phone calls or text messages were received to notify me. I had to call and when I did, my calls were not returned for 14 days. After receiving assurances my car would be fixed I had to wait several more days and still did not receive any return calls. No updates, no anything. After I left messages on Service Representatives phone they were not returned.Finally after 19 days one of my calls was returned with information my car would be ready that afternoon and I would receive a call. I waited and finally received a return call on the 20th day informing me that I could pick up my vehicle.Corrective action should include timely fixes, timely updates by phone or text and answering/returning status of the process. A customer, any customer should not have to wait twenty days to have the work completed and to be completely ignored during that time. I had to make alternative transportation for necessary medical treatment after twelve days. I also had to expend additional monies to secure a diffetent vehicle for this trip.In conclusion, my experience has left me hesitant to EVER use this particular dealership for my mechanical needs. In the past service has been corrective and timely. The work has always been completed as promised and on time.

What a great experience! The services done on my BMW were completed expertly. The staff, wow so friendly. They reached out to me for over a month to tell me the status of my car and the progress both good and slow (I don’t want to use bad. There was a delay on getting parts in). So far the best VW service Ive ever used. I have extended warranty after so-called dieselgate and I got bad temp sensor in DEF tank. Replacement took 2 visits - one for diagnostic, another one for the replacement itself after part came in. Was offered a loaner for the time of the replacement.All work, parts and loaner were covered by VW warranty.Very helpful service advisor Melissa took care of everything. Thank you!

We just purchased a new VW Atlas today from BMW/VW Topeka. The customer service was amazing. We had our two small children with us and they went above and beyond to help keep them entertained throughout the process. They were fair and up front when it came to negotiation. They even processed all the paperwork so we could get the new vehicle registered in WA where we are from (we are military). I can’t say enough great things about the experience we had and would highly recommended them!

Only came for a carbon blast on my 335i. Left with a car that had a misfire and barely did 70mph. When i got home i found my charge pipe completely disconnected and cylinder 6 ignition coil unplugged. Far from peace of mind when your paying 150 an hour in just labor. Would recommend finding another shop.

I needed my VW Passat to be serviced; I will say that it took a couple of calls to actually get someone on the phone, but once I did, I made an appointment for a Saturday morning. I happened to be in Topeka that Tuesday afternoon and wanted to try and get in since I was in town. When I told them I was coming from out of town, they worked to get me in and serviced my car that day. Everything was smooth until it looked like I might not get my car that evening and they didn’t have any loaners. I thought I would have to have a family member drive 45 minutes to come get me. Unfortunately my car had to stay overnight, BUT somehow I received a loaner to drive home in and I got my car the next day. I would bring my car here again just based on the customer service!

Love VW Topeka. I called to see if they could squeeze me in before a last minute trip for an oil change and just general inspection. They had told me they were fully booked but may be able to get me in the day before we left. While I was there I told them that I thought that the rear brakes may need to be check. Doug was great and talked with me about my Jetta etc. It was nice having someone who seemed genuinely interested in cars help me. Ended up needing pads and rotors on the rear. They were a able to get that done too while in there. Price was VERY reasonable seeing as I didn’t have to do it myself. Love coming to them and will continue to.

Let me start by telling you I had 8 bad experiences trying to buy a car online. Literally everything from getting passed around by salesmen, discriminated because I was a woman, to driving 5 hours to finding out the car I was going to buy has a huge dent and rust that the 50 online pictures did not show. After a year of looking at online cars nearly everyday, I found this amazing deal on a Subaru and reluctantly called a dealership- again. The receptionist was extremely kind and helpful. Very professional. I requested a certain personality type in a sales person and she could not have done any better. When Bronson Campbell answered the phone, he very kindly listened to my rant of bad experiences and demands. I requested he send me pictures of any dent, ding or scratch this car had and he delivered. Almost to the point of obnoxious but he did exactly what I asked him to do and he seemed happy to do so. I scheduled a test drive which was going to get to the dealership near closing time which was the only time my very busy schedule allowed me to get there. Bronson was there and waited for me and my family to arrive. I did not feel like I was an inconvenience at all. He seemed to happily enjoy our test drive and answered my very long list of questions. He was kind to my niece and daughter who were with me and answered all their questions too. When we returned to the dealership, it was closed and the finance guy was gone but we got to some numbers both parties were happy with, and I even walked away with some awesome swag. I wouldnt be able to process paperwork and pick up car for a couple of days, Bronson took care of everything that could be done without me and kept me updated along the way. When the day came to pick up my car, Bronson was great. Bought a new BMW and windshield cracked one foot overnight during July 4th weekend. Went into BMW that Monday and service guy didnt even look at the window. Just ordered a new one and said they would call when came in. Since I could not find a chip that started the crack, he advised the subcontractor would make the decision.Fast forward to my appointment on July 27th. Dropped my car off and told it would be done that day. The sub didnt show that day. Nobody from BMW called to let me know. I called at end of business and was told they would call me tomorrow. No call from them. When I called they said it was done and I could pick it up.I expect communication from my dealer, it is good customer service

Waited 5 hours in the lobby for 30 min of labor done to my car (made an appointment too). Really dont know how that happened but was quite irritating. Wed had a lot of miscommunication while there in person that just seemed very unimpressive for a business. Last time we were there they missed my battery on a routine inspection and a week later had to jump my car and replace the battery myself. Not impressed and this will be our last time using them. We will go elsewhere from now.

This is not a review of the dealer themselves. It is a review of the reviews. From what I am seeing they have excellent sales staff but very poor service department. I can not even find pricing for my 10k service on their website. I did call just to be placed on hold. I did hang up. How are is it to say 10k service between 29.99 to 89.99 have a nice day. I do find most dealers are like this. I did buy from Mike Stevens and now I am not sure if I should go to Topeka to get my service done (30 to 45 minute drive) or go back down to Mike Steven VW ( 2.5 hour drive) to get my service done after reading the reviews of the Topeka dealer. Still do not know the cost of the 10k service by the way.Update 3/11/2020, Well I finally went on to.the dealership and did get my oil change. Even though they told me 89.99 over the phone for the 10m service come to find out it is over $190 for the service. So I ended up paying for just an oil change and it cost me $99 for the oil change it self. It took 15 minutes for the service person to even get to us to see what we need also. Typical 1.5 hours to do the oil change. Since they are the closest dealer I will have to go back at one point to get the repairs I need done on the vehicle taken care of. This is my first VW vehicle and as soon as I can get rid of it I will.

Had my 2013 Passat TDI in for repair and both Melissa and Derek in the service department were very pleasant to work with. They had to have my car for a couple days while we were waiting on parts and they hooked me up with a loaner vehicle in the meantime. Throughout the repair Melissa kept me up do date on what was going on and upon picking up my car it had been washed and detailed. Great and friendly service; will definitely come back in the future.

First off, I will say this has been one of the most pleasurable purchasing experiences I have ever been part of. The moment I walked through the doors of BMW of Topekas beautiful showroom, I was greeted by a bubbly receptionist that escorted me to Teds desk. From there, my friend and I were served a warm cup of coffee and we made our in-person introductions.My car was ready for us in its own glass garage within the building. After we looked it over, we went for a short drive. I fell in love. Did I mention this is my first BMW? It is, and its not my last! When we returned, Ted introduced me to a few people there: Brian, Paul, Rainer, and Will were all great to deal with. I really felt like a part of the family. Took daughter’s VW Bug in for repairs to her heater back in February. Dealership had her car for an extended period. When my husband was returning the car to our daughter, the heat went out. Sadly, he was 1/2 into the trip before he had to turn around to head back to the dealership. Car stayed in the shop again until repairs were made. We thought the car was good...not so. Dashboard cracked along with many screws unattached rolling around on the floorboards. Returned the car to the dealership to have the dashboard repaired and screws re attached only to be notified that there was a delay on the return as they were working on the heater...again??? The heater that was fixed in February??? 3.5 weeks later car is done OR not. Dash is loose, microphone unattached, completely filthy exterior and interior.Not satisfied with our experience AT ALL!!!Hoping the heater works as it should come cold weather...

I have been a customer of the other two BMW dealers in Kansas and was always dissatisfied with their service and attitude. Sean and the rest of the team in Topeka was down-to-earth, pleasant, and helpful. I initially showed up close to closing time on a Saturday to take a look at their selection of pre-owned X3s. I told them my color and package preferences and we quickly narrowed it to one that I then drove. Without muss and fuss I was given a fair offer on my trade (another BMW) and a reasonable discount on the one I liked. They called me the next day with a polite offer to answer any questions. I am Bob Morgans widow.... shortly after buying our VW Golf, Bob passed away... our check up came while Bob was hospitalized, so a friend took the vehicle in to the dealership to be serviced... the service personal was very understanding and serviced the car, let my friend know when it was done.......... recently, warning lights came on the dash, and I took the vehicle in. The service manager checked it out, determined what it needed, and told me they would need to keep the car over night, once the parts came in.... I mentioned that I was planning a trip for 2 weeks.. he said that that would be perfect, they would do the work while I was out of the state, and keep the vehicle safe until I returned... they even offered to give me a ride home ( over 30 miles). I said that I would have a friend pick me up, but Thank You. I was delayed getting back to Kansas, called the dealership, and they said not to worry, they would keep the car safe. When I picked the car up, they first asked how I was doing? how my trip was? and then brought the car around so that it was easy for me to just get in and go.... no charge, it was still under warranty. No problems, loved the service !

I bought a 2014 $50-K BMW 650IX certified with approximately 23-K miles on it some months ago. I drove it up and down a road in front of the store in the 45 mph range and all appeared good. I went in gave them a check for it and dealt with a very nice sales person and the GM I believe his name was Paul.I drove 3 + hours to get there and when I left on I-70 and got up to 75 MPH there was a vibration in the steering wheel but as was late in the day (they were closed now) I thought I would just have it aligned/balanced etc back where I live. Once I got to it I was told it had a bent rim on the right front, they stopped at that point, I priced a new one at Barron BMW in Kansas City, my cost was $550, I called Paul the GM in BMW Topeka store and told him about the bent rim and replacing it, after a brief hesitation he excitedly said thats a $800 to $1,000 rim, I said actually I was quoted $550 etc from Baron BMW in Kansas City, he said he would check with his parts dept but rather suggested I get just the rim straightened by so and so company.I waited for his return call and did some research on it, when he called back to simplify things I went with the straightening approach @ $125 (he never offered to pay or help in any way) my time trouble expense etc. I did that, then to make a long story as short I found out both rims were in fact bent (the rear one bent and cracked $175 to weld it) and the car had been previously damaged and repaired at their store! with even new tires put on. I called back and could never reach the GM again but got the salesperson and explained all to him he said he would get with the GM, I never heard back from anyone, I ended up paying $360 fixing the rims, alignment, and other service costs AND THERE IS STILL A pretty good VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL! on this $50-K CERTIFIED CAR with NEVER one offer of help or follow up from them! I was going to complain to BMW directly but after reading reviews on that ha.....UPDATE 10-23-18....Their reply saying they would reach out to me from 7 months ago has never happened! imagine that..... I am now ordering 2 new rims and will have near $1,500 invested in fixing their CERTIFIED car.....very bad place to do business!!!!

Excellent customer service at BMW of Topeka! Car buying is one of my least favorite things to do, but they made it simple and as enjoyable as possible. My salesman, Sean, provided thorough communication through calls and texts. Stephanie in the office was also great to work with for all paperwork and getting my tags. Totally worth my drive up from Oklahoma!
