We just purchased a used 2014 Jeep Patriot & knew it needed maintenance. Chris at Paragon Auto Repair was friendly and courteous. I had a issue with my ETC & Traction Control light turning on. Chris was quick to get my car in the shop and back on the road again. We have an appointment tomorrow to fix some of the other maintenance needed on Jeep. This was the best experience I’ve ever had at a mechanic shop. Chris was so kind and was extremely knowledgeable. I don’t know much about cars and so I usually am skeptical when I take my cars in because i don’t know if what is being said is true. They not only fixed my problem, they did a complete car inspection. It was extremely affordable and they even took me out to my car to show me what they had found and what they were doing. His dog is really sweet and it’s a very comfortable environment. I definitely recommend!!!

Detailed, good communication, reliable

Paragon Auto has a very professional and knowledgeable staff. They were recommended by AAA when my fuel pump went out, and they did not disappoint. They charged less than all the suggested repair costs for my auto that I found online, and completed the repairs in half the time. My biggest take away from them is peace of mind.

We’ve been taking our car to Chris for the past couple of years and after getting second opinions for minor and major repairs, Paragon consistently comes in lower, with a quicker turn around time and with a better explanation of what needs to be fixed. Chris cis very honest about what really needs repaired and even when others have said something needs a repair he will assess it and not fix it if it doesn’t need work. I never feel pressured to repair anything I’m not sure about. I can’t recommend Chris and paragon more. And the office dog is such a sweetie!

Chris and his team do a fine job with auto repairs. Chris is honest, knowledgeable, and has never surprised me with a price increase after estimating a job for me. He has worked on my late model Chrysler SUV, my Subaru Outback, and my ‘56 Chevy BelAir, and I have always been satisfied with his price and his work, whether it was mechanical work or detailing. Besides, I just like Chris—he’s easy to work with.

I initially called Paragon for a quote on an overdue maintenance service that involved replacing some belts and the water pump on my 2010 Mitsubishi Galant. I was quoted a very fair price and the scope of the work was very thorough including auxiliary parts like tensioners and seals along with an inspection. I was very impressed with the quality of the job and the professional demeanor from Chris and the rest of the staff. I have been going to Paragon for years now. I started going there as a second opinion. The first opinion said my car needed 3000$ in work. Paragon properly diagnosed the problem and repaired it for under 500$. I continue to go there for their straight forward honesty that you dont always get, especially in this line of work.

Chris is very professional and polite. I took my car in for some vibrations it was making that would make the abs kick in when it wasnt needed and then the abs and traction control lights would come on and stay on until next time i drove my car.Chris and his crew did a full diagnostic and inspection and chris went over everything never trying to sell me more than what i wanted done.Unfortunately i took my car home and the same problem started up again. But when i called chris he said bring it back and well see whats going on. Ultimately electrical is a nightmare and especially in chevy as im learning but another half day at the shop and they figured out what was the culprit. Only thing i really disagreed with was having to pay an additional 200. I kinda felt that since the issue it went in for initially wasnt fixed and i had already paid i shouldnt have had to pay additional. They should have just fixed it because it wasnt fixed.But i would still take my car back to Chris. No pressure tactic no down talk since im a woman and yay he fixed a problem that other people with the same car same issue have in the past spent thousands on, only to still have the same issue.Thank you Chris. Its still got no more issues!!

Excellent work from Paragon!!! Chris and his team did a fantastic job working on my 79 Corvette...from the power steering to the carb, and everything in between (including the lights, battery cable, steering column, etc). They went that extra mile, and the car runs great now. They are upfront and honest, and their price is very reasonable. Paragon was suggested to me by my niece for my a/c problem since it is close to their home and the guy seemed honest. I talked to Chris on the phone and briefed him of the issue. The next morning I dropped my car off and had a return call within about 1 1/2 hours that my car was done! I knew what the problem was and knew the appropriate cost range and he was on the low side of the cost and was so very prompt and courteous and honest that I have already recommended Paragon to my nieces neighbors and even someone (I dont know) in the grocery store in Tualatin! This guy Chris, he is a real piece of work, he lied to me right from the start, I bought a used car he says someone left . Then said just want to recover my money. I checked the car out ran good. But the engine light came on, so he said he would check it out. He did then said he got the DEQ cert. for me because he knew the light was manipulated. When I picked up the car, gave him the money he stated that he was personally selling the car, not the business. Which is where he advertised, worked on and sold me the car !! 13 days later, the timing belt broke blown engine wow really- I called to see what work he actually did he said serpentine belt brakes and fluids. Just went by to see if he would make it right he told me he put aided motor in it. Do you and your friends a favor and stay away from this shop.

My wife and I have been going to Paragon for a while now. We live in the area and were very happy to find a reliable mechanic for our vehicle needs. Luckily most of our trips have been for oil changes but the other work we have had done is reliable and well priced.They also do a great job of utilizing the internet for the benefit of their customers, they email you the invoice and utilize social networking for specials!

I braught my car in on a recommendation from a friend because it was running very rough. Within 45 min to an hour they knew exaactly what was wrong and had done a full inspection of my vehicle. They updated me and ordered the parts. In notime i was back on the road with a perfect running car. The people that work there are very professional and fast. Definitely will be taking my car back for any future needs. Also there dog is awesome.

Seemed a bit expensive to me for what was done, but I am not a mechanic so I cant say for sure. Gas was significantly lower than when I took it in, but that might just have been used up during the problem diagnosis. When I went to the gas station to fill my gas tank right after the repair, my gas cap was missing. I know it was there when I took the truck in. Thats $10 more out of my pocket for a replacement. The people were nice, but the gas cap thing sours the experience somewhat.

I figured Chris would make his reply post sound like he was the most helpful guy ever. People dont believe Chris, he lies. My sons car was fixed in Idaho for half of what Chris said and its running strong today.Paragon/Chris you should treat everyone with respect and stop with all the lies.

My car had the check engine light come on for a misfire in cylinder 1 (P0301) which is the cylinder under the intake manifold. I normally would fix this myself but didnt have time to take off the manifold in my day to day life, so I had Paragon do it for me.When we got our car back, cylinder #4 was replaced, and not cylinder #1 (cylinder #4 is really easy to access and wouldve taken me 5 minutes), plus our car was making a new knocking sound after the repair. I confronted the owner after finding out he replaced the wrong cylinder and he told me I was wrong. I then took the car to Jiffy Lube to confirm that I was right and relayed the information. He replied that the Jiffy Lube tech needs to go back to school (And just so you know, he wasnt being very nice about it on the phone, not very nice or professional at all).I finally emailed him a picture of the engine and he responded, saying I was right...awkward, but super satisfying. He never once apologized, even though I was right all along.We got the labor reimbursed, but not the parts, and we got a free knocking enigne.Then we took the car to another shop, very frustrated with our last experience, and they related that they have had several customers come away with very negative experiences from Paragon Auto Repair. They said they wouldnt be surprised if Paragon caused the knock...I would urge you to steer clear. No pun intended.

A friend, mechanically savvy, recommended I contact Paragon for the work I wanted done on my Sprinter 3500, LTV motorhome. So glad I acted on this advise. Chris and team performed the work within the cost and time quoted to me. When the work was complete he reviewed the work performed and gave me thoughts for future maintenance.Because of Chris’ professional and customer directed attitude, I scheduled an additional appointment for “modifications” to my motorhome.
