I specifically registered on Yelp to leave a review for this business.I own a PT Cruiser, which is not the easiest of vehicles to work on. When it suddenly died, we did all we could by clearing out issues related to codes present. Unfortunately, that wasnt enough and we were out of ideas. Kevin at Mid City came highly recommended to me. I did some research of my own and appreciated the reviews others had left, which solidified my decision to choose them.I spoke with Kevin on Wednesday and had my car towed in. By Thursday, we spoke multiple times about what was wrong, costs, and options available to me. On Friday morning, my car was ready to roll out the door. When I left, I noticed it still had a issue and returned it right away. Kevin and his crew put my car through more driving tests to replicate the issue, find the problem, and fix it promptly. Within a few hours,I was back to drive away again.Not only was Mid City knowledgeable about a challenging vehicle, they went above and beyond to ensure I was fully aware of my vehicles overall health.I highly recommend the shop for their speed, efficiency, knowledge, price, and customer satisfaction.

These guys are very honest. The waiting area is not female friendly. Definently male oriented. But theyre nice. Ladies, if you can drop off your vehicle and have someone pick you up, that would be best. Unless they wont take long.

Exemplary business ethics. Been to this place twice in the last year with check engine light on and have yet to spend a dime. Fortunately, it was really minor things that could be done on the spot both times. If I ever need real repairs, this is where I’m going. Not many places would do that for you. Usually just to get your vehicle checked out, you’re going to spend a considerable chunk of change. And time. I was in and out both times within 20 to 30 minutes without having to go through the typical hassle of making an appointment, dropping off, paperwork, arranging rides to and fro etc. The owner was gracious enough to say “just come on in sometime this morning before 10 am and we’ll check it out.” Can only imagine what I might have been charged —and what gratuitous “repairs” I’d have “needed”—had I gone elsewhere. Support local family-owned businesses. It’s the right thing to do and you usually save money.

We started going here at the beginning of this year, and weve been three or four times since (we have an old car with a lot of miles). Each time they have squeezed us for quick work despite being busy.Most recently, they let us know we could use new struts. I didnt ask why right away, so called a couple days later. Kevin was extremely honest about it and didnt pressure us into replacing them as he knew our car was not going to be around for a while (thats our plan). He said they were leaking a bit but that was really all, and only on long trips would it be of any concern; we mostly use it to drive around town.I highly recommend Mid City. They are a bunch of honest guys who love working on cars. Thats all you need! :)
