From the moment I called Mike he was such a help. Extremely knowledgable and professional when dealing with my Saab 9-3. He diagnosed my exhaust issues as well as brought a lot to my attention that also could be fixed that I had no clue about. If their professional attitudes and skills werent enough when I picked my car up it was completely clean inside and out. I cant thank Mike enough for his dedication and care for my car. You can tell they treat their customers cars like their own which I really appreciate.

My daughter was caught in a flash flood and had significant damage to her engine. We found Perfection Auto Works online and saw all the 5 star reviews and that they specialized in Mini Cooper repairs and decided to have her car towed to their shop. Mike was very thorough in his explanation of what needed to be done (engine replacement) and communicated with us every step of the way. He was diligent about following up with our insurance carrier to make sure they were handling our claim and he was incredibly patient with them even though their service was lacking. It took over a month to get everything done because the insurance company kept dragging their feet but when we finally got the car back, it worked just like new and Mike even had it detailed and put gas in it. Very happy with their service and would highly recommend them as a reputable shop who does quality work.

Mike and his team at Perfection are great!Last week I was out of town and my Porsche stopped working.I called Mike to set up a tow to his shop, but based on what I told him was happening to the car he was able to diagnose my issue over the phone. I’d give 10 stars but only goes to 5.Mike and his staff are the best in the business. He’s handled regular service on my ‘86 MB 560sl for years and I wouldn’t take it anywhere else. They’ve always been honest with the work they’ve done and supported it with evidence to make sure I understood it was necessary. I loved that Mike explained everything so thoroughly because I’m not a mechanical guy. It helped ease my mind. Well, I sold it as Mike went out of his way and helped me find a buyer. In fact the trailer came and Mike helped arrange delivery and they picked it up at Perfection Auto this morning. My car was having some issues. It would not start, didnt have the getup it used to and would not pass smog. Im from out of town so I was looking online. I have had a good experience finding great mechanics in the pass. When I call Perfection Auto Works, Mike answered the phone and within a few minutes it felt like we had known each other for years. This is my daughters 330ci. Triple A said the car may need a starter or an alternator. Mike and his team found that the battery that had been replaced about 2 years ago was not the correct battery for the car. They also found what was causing the slow responsiveness and took care of that. He also gave me a report on other things that should be looked at down the road. The whole transaction was taken care of with me being in California and he being in Arizona. If you have a BMW, Mercedes, Audi or Porsche by all means take it to Mike and the guys at Perfection Auto Works. This garage is phenomenal! Mike went above and beyond in fixing my car. He got my car into the garage with short notice, diagnosed the problems, and fixed everything by the end of the day!! And with great pricing too! I came in with my car making terrible noises and left with a quiet car! Its nice to find a business that you can completely trust and I for sure will be bringing my car back for any maintenance it needs. I would not go anywhere else!!!! Despite being in such high demand, he performed the inspection and spent considerable time giving me a thorough report so I could make an informed decision about buying the car, which I did. I took my Ford Escape in for a second opinion on engine compartment noise. Mike was able to diagnose the problem and come up with a plan of action. He also recommended other services to improve car performance and extend the life of the vehicle. The work was done professionally and Mike kept me informed along the way, he even detailed the car, which my wife really appreciated. We had a slight issue after leaving the shop with windshield wiper blades not syncing properly. Mike stood by his teams work and fixed the problem for free. Highly recommend this mechanic.

I went to PERFECTION Auto Works to get my e350 Mercedes serviced, and couldnt be happier! Not only was the work done uber professionally, but the owner was very good at explaining the work that needed to be done, but was extremely honest with his pricing. Based on the google ratings, I decided to call and discuss an issue I am having with my vehicle. I was answered by a highly unprofessional, arrogant, rude, crass and borderline confrontational man, who made it look like he was so busy that it was my privilege to be even speaking to him. After I asked him about a date to diagnose the problem, just to confirm the date and timing, I repeated the time and date to him expecting confirmation / correction, at which he rudely snaps no youre not listening to me, I never said that.... This is not how you speak to customers my man. I was not trying to challenge you. I was merely trying to confirm what I thought you said which was clearly not properly communicated by you . This persons arrogant attitude was further confirmed after I hung up the phone and started looking at the other reviews of people with similar bad experiences here on google. Just look at ALL of his responses to them. The responses are never apologetic or never about improving his service. They are all without fail - arrogant and defensive, usually followed by a rant about how great and PERFECT his service is, and almost always an attack on the customers leaving the review. I am fairly certain I will be receiving a similar response from Mr. Mike Emery. I find it hard to believe everyone with a bad review is trying to slander you. I am certainly not. It was a genuinely bitter experience on the phone with you. Maybe the problem really just is your lack of customer service skills. Well good for you that you have other better ratings; perhaps not all customers are treated equally. One thing is for sure - in my case, PERFECTIONs customer service was far from what the shop is named, and you certainly will not be obtaining my business.

I took my Porsche in for a new fuel pump and the work was done in a timely manner and the new fuel pump works great. When I need maintenance on my car I drive past 3 or 4 other shops on the way to Perfection because Mike and his team are the best at what they do.

Mike was awesome he was able to get me in last minute for a road trip and then had the time to sit down with me and explain to me exactly what was being fixed. He also kept me updated with calls the entire time to get my permission to fix things and really worked with my very hectic schedule during the weekdays.

Mike at Perfection Auto Works just saved me $2500!I am a regular customer and Mike said I needed to get the diesel particle filter in my VW Golf fixed. He said he would speak to a dealer and find out if it the part was under warranty. Meanwhile I found there was a diesel expert nearby so I just took it in there and they told me it would cost $2500, they would order the part, and it was definitely not under warranty. When I told Mike, he said that was wrong and to take the car out of there. He had done his research and had spoken to another dealer who said they could do the repair and it WAS under warranty. To cut a long story short, I took the car to the dealer Mike recommended, and today I drove my car home, perfectly fixed for absolutely no cost. Mike goes out of his way to help his customers even when he is not being paid for it.

The mechanic I spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude beyond belief!!! I was excited to take my car in for repairs because of the high ratings and good reviews; however, after speaking briefly to him over the phone regarding potential issues I would like to have diagnosed to draw up an estimate, I can’t fathom how this shop would even get ANY clientele whatsoever! He was incredibly rude after I explained what needed to be looked at and why I suspected said parts would need be the inspected, but instead of giving me a potential date to have these inspections done- he chose to continue by criticizing whether I would even need him to diagnose it or not because I explained what needed to be looked at (despite him asking me what was wrong with the car), followed by saying he’s backed up for weeks, remained unprofessional, gruff and then hung up on me. What a terrible, awful, unbelievably unprofessional, and rude representation of an automotive business.

Perfection Auto Works has been a great place for my car! My Mercedes-Benz needed a lot of repairs, deferred maintenance, etc. They worked with me and were able to fix all my issues for a great cost! I came in for a second opinion in regards to some vehicle woes. The estimate from the first place included a replacement of all 4 shocks (the rear shocks were leaking fluid, the front shocks were already replaced 2 years ago), along with a slew of other dubiously necessary repairs and replacements. Here at Perfection Auto Works after their free inspection they were very clear with the things that were in need of maintenance but were not pushy nor did they incline towards preaching imminent doom. The necessary things to be done included: an alignment, a new idler arm, replacement of only the 2 leaky rear shocks, a break fluid flush, and in their initial inspection they thought the left front wheel bearing was loose - needing replacement. When it came time to get the work done their technicians re-inspected the wheel bearing and decided that their initial inspection was incorrect, and that it was not, in fact, necessary to replace it. The fact they told me this, instead of doing the frivolous work and racking the bill up, is exceptional.There is an economic issue called Information Asymmetry Theory that entails industries such as this, where the experts, (the mechanics in this case) possess far more information than the consumer, and because of this can wield this information imbalance against the consumers interests. This problem exists in a lot of markets, especially the used car market. With this knowledge in hand I am exceptionally untrusting of doing business in markets where I have little knowledge. Ultimately, the only way for consumers to combat such an economic problem is through the review process which can incentive producers to compete in regards to their reputation of honesty. Perfection Auto Works in my case used good faith in our exchange, and in return I hope to convince others to skew the market towards preferring such business models. That was a lot words to say simply that Perfection Auto Works are good folks and have earned my trust, I hope that means something to those who read this review.

Excellent service on my 1999 BMW 328i. Took it in for an issue with the convertible top, not only did they fix that but fixed many other issues such as brake pads, and air bags.Great service for a great price.

My fuel pump went out and my car was inoperable. I called and they answered right away, sent a tow out and had it fixed within two days. They picked me up and dropped me off. They repaired the issue and advised other car related issues, being professional, and not trying to inflate the costs. They are knowledge and I would recommend taking my car there. Now a repeat customer.

I was on a solo road trip in an imported, right-hand-drive 1995 Toyota Hiace, driving from my home of Houston, TX, with a deadline to get to LA for work within the next few days. As I drove through the West, my gauge cluster lit up like a Christmas tree on I-10 in Arizona; ultimately, my vans alternator died in the city limits. I was stranded in Tucson during the worst heat wave the city had ever seen. I had called almost two dozen repair shops in Tucson, beseeching them to help me fix my van so I could continue my trip, but because it is such an odd model, never sold in America, no one wanted to touch it. Until I called Mike, at Perfection, who agreed to help me get back on the road, weird van and all.I called around 10 AM on Monday; the tow truck dropped my Toyota off at around 1 PM. They had the alternator out and sent to the reconditioning company the same day (Mike does not usually recondition alternators, but since the van is so unique it is nearly impossible to buy a new one inside the US - usually they have to be shipped from Japan, something that I didnt have time to wait for). The alternator came back from the reconditioning shop at around 3 PM Tuesday. They had it back in and I was on the road before they closed down the shop for the day. He gave me new alternator and A/C belts at cost, as mine were damaged, and he wanted to make sure I had a trouble-free drive to LA.Mike and his shop is one of the busiest I have ever seen. I passed a few hours in his office while I organized backup plans to get to LA, and I could not believe how many people come in and call up and trust him with their cars, and enjoy chatting with him to boot. He did not need my business, and he did not need to get me on the road that quickly - my repair was, from a business perspective, not very lucrative, and the timeframe I had was so short and stressful that he had no need to try and meet it. And yet he took my van in, fixed it, and I made it to LA with time to spare before my event, because he thought it was the right thing to do.He truly saved my trip (and saved me money!) and I appreciate it massively, more than a single review can ever convey. I dont live in Tucson, but I will be driving through again in the future, and you can bet if my van ever needs anything when Im within 200 miles of Tucson, Im only trusting Perfection.

After running poorly for more than a year, I am extremely pleased and grateful for meeting Mike and finally getting my car repaired at his shop.As a retired internist, I appreciated Mike’s approach to problem solving.His assessment, diagnostic skills and spot on summary of the needed repairs was very impressive.I also appreciated the way Mike took a detailed history of the problems, asked questions, then made a preliminary diagnosis.After examining the vehicle, he listed the possible diagnosis for each of the problems. Perfection Auto Works lives up to its name. My X5 had been sitting for quite a while due to to life getting in the way. After my own repairs it was time to get her moving again. A call and talk with Mike and we had an idea of the problem and a plan to get her back on the road. Being from Brooklyn, NY Ive become more jaded then anyone when it comes to Auto Mechanics. These days theres only 1% of businesses out there that will fix the problem you came in with while standing by their work. 99% of Mechanics will say they can do a job even when they know it wont be performed correctly. Ultimately they get paid, and your off to find a new mechanic.If you dont trust me when I tell you Perfection Auto Works is a 1% shop, then you wont trust anyone. I dont care the year, make, model or condition of the vehicle. Theyll have it running the way the manufacture intended so youre not stuck on the side of the road or hearing new mechanical noises.Most relationships with mechanics End the moment they get paid. Not these guys. They will ACTUALLY CALL YOU after the repair to make sure that youre satisfied with the work performed, once youve had time to drive it. This is uncanny customer service and is only found with 1% of auto mechanics.I purchased a 1979 Dodge B20 Van site unseen in California. What can I say, I fell in love with online photos. After having it shipped to my apartment in Tucson, I watched as the transporter pulled it off the trailer and immediately knew it had a TON of issues. To put it bluntly, I was afraid to drive it and Im a NY driver. I told Perfection Auto all my concerns and the reassured me they were already familiar not only with the vehicle and the issues I was having. Ive heard that before, so I took a drive by he shop to see the other vehicles they were working on. After seeing the repair vehicles that only ACE mechanics could work on, I instantly knew these were the guys were gonna make my nightmare van a dream van..Only 2 weeks later and the Van is INCREDIBLE. I was more then nervous when I dropped it off.. I left more happy then Ive left ANY mechanic after picking up a vehicle. These guys are the REAL deal and Id say youre lucky to have found this shop and get an appointment with their highly experienced and efficient mechanics. You need your vehicle fixed the right way the first time? Regardless of the work thats needed, Perfection Auto Works IS your shop. Theyll get the job done CORRECTLY and STAND BY their work.

Perfection Auto Works lives up to its name. Mike was able to squeeze me into the shop schedule after my clutch unexpectedly went out on my Wrangler. A few hours after drop off, I was called with a quote that included the necessities, as well as options/recommendations to add on what will need repair in the near future. For example, since my transmission was being taken out he recommended replacing a seal that would save me from having to pull out the transmission again next year, which I am very thankful for. This shop runs on time and with efficiency. Unlike many businesses, there were no surprise costs and my car was ready when he said it would be. Look no further for a mechanic shop, Perfection Auto works is fair, honest, and reliable. As a side note, if you have the means, get the wax job! My 2011 came back to me looking brand new!

We have a Mercedes and these guys tuned our seven year old SUV that greatly exceeded our expectations. On a 3k mile trip our gas mileage went from 21 to 25.2. For great service this is the place to go.

First experience:I had a brake squealing problem (chronic problem with 911s) with a new set of brakes from Perfection and Mike kept at it until it stopped. No excuses, no extra charges, he just made it right.Second experience:I had the 60K service light up on the dash. Called Mike for an appointment and he said he already did it all at 55K when he did the brake job. Mike told me to come in and and he will turn off the warning light at no charge while I wait!!!Its nice to find competent, honest vendors. His prices are not cheap but they are fair. Skilled mechanics cost money and if you want good people working on your Porsche, be prepared to pay the price. Besides, his rates are a whole lot less than the dealer.Thanks Mike, its a pleasure to do business with you.

Mike Emery at Perfection Auto Works is great. He managed to fit me in when I told him I was going on a trip within the week and had a Service Engine Soon on my BMW 135i. I was close on brakes so I decided to have them taken care of. PORSCHE OWNERS IN PARTICULARI’m a Florida resident who flew to Tucson (my home town) to pick-up a 2002 Porsche Boxster S that I purchased online from an acquaintance. Having been alerted to the well-known IMS bearing issue on this car, I wanted to pre-emptively replace it to avoid potential engine failure during a cross-country drive back home. I called 3 independent shops, and settled on Mike at Perfection Autoworks. Why? First: he was the only one who said I didn’t absolutely need to spend the money on the IMS bearing, as the probability of failure was very low. In other words, he wasn’t going to milk me for any unnecessary work (I decided to do did it anyway for my peace of mind and this was a no-brainer since the clutch ended up needing replacement). Second: he has deep and wide experience with all Porsche models, and at one point worked at the local dealership. Multiple reviewers have attested to his Porsche expertise. He discussed every aspect of my car with obvious in-depth knowledge. Third: he was extremely thorough in explaining exactly what work was required, and why, also distinguishing between “must do” and optional work. Fourth: much more reasonable pricing than the dealer. He saved me a bundle on extensive work done. Fifth: as an out-of-towner on a tight schedule he made space for me in his busy schedule to allow me to get back to Florida without a long wait.I wouldn’t think twice about going to Mike’s shop again. A small amount of smoke was coming out from under the hood of my 2008 BMW X5. I drove directly over to Perfection Auto Works. Our family has used Perfection Auto Works in the past with great results. You cannot beat the service. Mike, the owner needed the Bimmer for two days to properly diagnose and fix the problem. He called Enterprise and got me the special service rate. The next day I got a call from Mike stating that the valve cover was the culprit. Oil was leaking down onto the engine which caused the smoke. Mike ordered the necessary parts. While the valve cover was removed from the top of the engine, additional needed service was done. The SUV was washed, waxed, buffed, and vacuumed. When I picked up the Bimmer it looked like a new vehicle inside and out, it sparkled. Thank you, Dave. Mike and his staff made it easy for me to deal with this problem. It is nice to know that a woman can get quality, reliable, service that she can trust. I would not go anywhere else.

I have been here twice to get work done on a car and each time the work was a big workload and was finished very quickly and done correctly. These guys here know how to get stuff done on time with precision/quality. Whenever there is an issue it is settled and diagnosed before you get the car back, ensuring a job well done. One thing i noticed was the pure honesty and raw advice which you don’t see often with many mechanics. Very satisfied with the work here and don’t plan on going anywhere else again.

They did a great job on my VW Passat. It needed a new engine because another shop botched an oil change. They found a great deal on an engine, replaced it, and even helped with my claim against the other shop. Im very grateful to these guys!

Our 2008 BMW X5 transmission was giving us problems. We first went to BMW. The quote was $10K to replace it. BMW recommended other items that needed service. Total was more than $12K. We looked at several BMW repair shops. Mike at Perfection Auto Works gave us some of the best options. There was no guessing. He knew what was needed. First he searched for a transmission. He found one with half the miles of our old one. They put it in and gave it a 23 mile test drive around Tucson. Perfection Auto Works also did other required maintenance while they had the SUV. They accomplished much more than BMW quoted at half the price. Dont waste your time anywhere else. This is the place.

Excellent service for my Porsche. The service was superb and they found a couple things that my service in the Bay Area had missed. The pricing was appropriate and there were no surprises. I took my 2011 Kia Sorento to Perfection Auto Works on a recommendation from my Dad. I took my car in for one issue and after doing a full check on my vehicle Mike told me my car was not a happy car and needed more work than just the one issue. Mike is professional and easy to talk to and explained to me what exactly needed to be done. I am not good about keeping up the maintenance of my car on my own and I understood that if things didnt get repaired more damage would happen in the future. I think the prices for parts and labor are great and I did not feel pressured into buying un-needed services for my car. Since bringing in my car to Perfection Auto Works its ran better than it has in years. I recommend this company to everyone!

WOW! From Creeper… to Keeper, this is an entirely different vehicle now!!! I’m no stranger to Porsche, in fact this is my 9th one. But the performance was so woefully lacking, I’d decided to take it to an independent Porsche mechanic, have the required maintenance done, then sell it. BUT… after an astounding transformation by Perfection Auto, this is now my favorite Porsche by far — a total pleasure to drive. And a surprise bonus, they had beautifully detailed my car before I picked it up. And, NO it is no longer for sale!! I highly recommend this very capable (and competitively priced) shop.

My 25-year old Camry went in old and tired. It came out new and peppy. Im not exaggerating. There was a laundry list of things to be done. Those were all completed plus a bunch of unbilled extras like thorough wash & detailing, floor mats, wheel covers. I can tell Mike loves my car as much as I do. When I first called I knew this was a good place, because he told me a price range, but he needed to see the car first to see what was going on with it. Many places will give you some quote without inspection. I have tried many shops, but will go back here because I trust them and they stand by their work. This was demonstrated by the quick replacement of a bad new part. They honor their name with the work they deliver, truly striving for Perfection!

I brought my 1982 Porsche 911 SC to Perfection a few months ago for repair after the engine compartment had sustained significant pack rat damage. The project entailed dropping the engine, rebuilding the wiring harness and other electrical components, a valve adjustment and a variety of other things. I came away very pleased. The price was very fair The mechanics who worked on my car are obviously knowledgeable and experienced. The car runs very well. I strongly recommend this shop.
