Really liked Josh. I think he was the manager. Very honest and let me know in detail what should be fixed, hour long it would take and price range. I got 4 new tires, power belt, and brakes. I thought the price was a little high, a little over $1,300 hundred. But last line my car had issues in took it to farm and fleet. Horrible experience. I will continue to be a PDR customer.

Had my car in the shop a few months ago, to have my A.C./ Heater blower replaced and a wheel alignment. Well here it is 3 months later and last week the control arm broke on my front passenger tire and went through the rim. I have had to not only have that replaced which they should of seen it needed replaced, I have had it at another shop getting another alignment and they have been working on it for 2 hours cause none of the adjustment parts have been moved in a long time. WHICH MEANS THEY DID NOT DO MY ALIGHMENT LIKE I PAID FOR!!!!! I will not be returning to this shop!

I really appreciated that they worked me in to replace my brakes even though they said they were all booked up for weeks ahead. They really care and are excellent at what they do.

PDR has always been there for me through my glorious 7 years with my 2002 Toyota Camry. They will keep explaining the issue until you fully understand. As a woman, I have never felt taken advantage of or uncomfortable around the staff like I have at other facilities around town. They are informative, honest, and want to help you make the best decision for yourself and your vehicle. After my last visit, I found out that my car would be much more to fix than what it is actually worth. I had questions about how to go about purchasing a new car and getting rid of my old car, as it was a new experience for me. Josh answered all my questions and more! It was a huge relief and I wasnt treated with any type of judgment for being a little bit clueless. All businesses should treat their consumers this way! The world would be a better place if all customer service was like this!!

PDR have an amazing dedicated team! At the start of July I ran into multiple car issues, my power steering column was making odd noises, my AC unit was down and my tires were badly cupped. After expressing to Josh (one of the managers at PDR) that I was not in a financial position to pay for all the treatments at once, he worked with me to identify the opportune time to get the repairs done and other future repairs done. He also provided me with a courtesy ride to and from my house twice and from the dentist.PDR have a great team and staff that truly care for their clients. I highly recommend them!

PDR Automotive was such a delight. I usually carry out basic maintenance on my own but this time, when I was driving from Indianapolis to Peoria, I was just lazy and decided to get an oil change done through an auto repair shop. I called them and requested if I could be squeezed in the same day. Request was entertained and I reached there right on time. The technician was waiting and he immediately took the car in. While I was waiting, i got talking with a guy at the front desk who gave me a lot of excellent advice on car maintenance-something that I had overlooked in the past. And now, I was wondering if they would end up charging me a lot for this work, because of the quality of people they employ.When the car was ready, I was pleasantly surprised to see the bill. The least I have paid so far!! They also returned the balance engine oil so that I could use it next time!!I wish I could get their names just to get that on record and let them know what a great job they’ve been doing.Thanks a lot guys. I’ll surely come back when I need some work done, even if it means driving an hour and a half all the way from Peoria.

The folks at PDR are great. They are friendly and professional. I also believe they are highly skilled and posses the equipment needed to diagnose and treat most if not all makes and models. Their prices are extreme, probably due to the equipment and software needed to care for such a variety of vehicles. PDR provides a shuttle service and flexible drop off and pick up hours. Essentially, PDR provides the same type of service you would find at a dealership.The downside at PDR is the cost and the lack of amenities. When you pay dealer prices for service, you typically have an upscale waiting area with plenty of seating and brand new cars or vans used as shuttle vehicles. Often, when a dealer services a vehicle they will wash the exterior and vacuum the interior when finished. At PDR, you pay the upscale dealer prices but the upscale service amenities are lacking. My nearest dealer is in Peoria or Indy. Having a highly skilled mechanic locally wins out over making a 2hr drive to get the upscale service amenities when the same level of service expertise can be found at PDR.

PDR is the real deal. Theyre upgraded with their technology and the staff is second to none. Josh has been my mechanic for years and when my dad passed away, he really helped me in a lot of areas of automechanics that I just didnt know anything about. He even helped me diagnose and get my dads old school hot rod running one last time, before we sold it. He did this on his own time and there will never not be a time that I go to Josh for anything related to my vehicle. Hes a great mechanic, but an even better person!

I was very pleased with my PDR experience. Josh was able to get me on the schedule right away, despite a high volume of customers and technical difficulties. Visited here twice in the last couple months due to ongoing car troubles and was told both times that my repairs would cost nearly $1000. The second time around, we decided we simply couldnt afford it, and we did not authorize any repairs or work to be done beyond the inspection. However, they went ahead and repaired a tire anyway and then proceeded to charge us for it ($160). We took my car to another shop nearby and they assessed the total repair cost to be less than $300. At nearly a $700 difference and given the unapproved repairs done to my car, I cannot recommend this place anymore.

This is the second trip to this shop with my car. Josh explains everything in detail and I have found the service is very thorough. When two different dealership service departments found nothing wrong with my car when I know there is an issue with it, Josh and the team found the issues and explained them to me. I highly recommend this shop.

The guys at PDR are awesome. They dont charge you for every little thing/more than what you went in for. They recently had my vehicle for an entire day to inspect the a/c system and replace a tire and my bill was significantly less than I expected for the amount of time they spent on it. The information I got from them is also invaluable - they tell it like it is in terms you can understand and genuinely want you to do what makes the most sense for you and your situation. Had to tow my car there late Friday night unexpectedly and by Saturday morning they had checked everything out. They got me back on the road by Monday morning as soon as parts came in and their service was well done, detailed, and reasonable price-wise. They made a not ideal situation as great as they could and I appreciated it.

I took my car to PDR to get a tune-up, in part because it has over 160k miles and was overdue for one, and in part because the fifth cylinder was misfiring. They tried to get me to pay for an expensive diagnostic ($150) but I said I only wanted the tune-up. I figured, I needed the tune-up either way, and it might resolve the issue itself. If not, Id cross that bridge when I got there.The tune-up went fine, but (1) it was unbelievably expensive-- $380, which is almost double what I could have paid elsewhere-- and (2) it didnt fix the problem. I didnt expect it to fix it, just hoped it would. But the guy who helped me saw an opportunity to lecture me on declining the diagnostic and pressure me into paying for it now. He listed all the dire problems it could be and how my car could be doomed. But the symptom screamed of spark plug issues. I wasnt about to give them any more of my business after that negative interaction, so I went and bought a coil pack and replaced it myself. This is a simple, obvious fix and one they could have done without much labor (it takes two minutes to switch coils to confirm). After replacing the coil (the one I knew was the problem going in, and told them so), the car drives like a dream. It took me less than five minutes to do the swap, and I am not a trained mechanic. They were going to charge $150 just to diagnose (honestly, they probably already realized it was the coil pack, but wanted to punish me for not paying for the diagnostic). Who knows how much more they would have charged for the 5 minutes of labor to do the swap.

John has a solid group of professional mechanics at PDR with lots of experience. They are very knowledgeable, thorough and trustworthy. His computer system and maintenance tracking of your vehicle is second to none, which even includes digital pics of some of the work being done. Ive used him for years and will continue to do so.

Only 4 stars because I cant say I had a full experience yet, like getting a major problem on a vehicle fixed. But what I did so far experience was great. It was a real simple job but they got me going on my project.I was simply trying to change tires on my scooter. The old DIY method, for Im too cheap to bother paying somebody if I can do it myself. Anyway, my last tire to install was being a real pain in the butt. I could not get it inflated to create a seal and seat the bead of the tire onto the rim. The first tire was easy, but this one was just refusing to inflate. Since I dont have a proper air compressor I had gone to several gas stations around town, spending almost 10 bucks in quarters for their compressor machines. I even got a ratchet cargo strap wrapped around it to try to make the bead seal better, but no dice so I drove around for a shop. I saw TIRES on the PDR sign. So I figured Ill give them a visit.I walked in the front door and showed the guy at the desk what my problem was and he quickly got up with enthusiasm and said Ill get this no problem. So he took the wheel to the back, told me to wait. I waited about a couple of minutes and he gave me my cargo strap and I asked him what the trick was. He said they had a high pressure compressor setup that fixes these problems. I asked him what it would cost, he said dont worry about it. A minute later a guy who was helping finish the job handed me my fully inflated wheel. I asked him how much for the job and he also said nothing at all.I was impressed with their quick service, especially when they werent expecting payment. So I figured I could offer at least a few bucks tip for both guys to split. They both said thanks but no thanks, it was basically too easy for them to accept anything. So I felt the need to write this good review, for they saved me a load of trouble. I wish I would have went there first!!! Of course if I were you I wouldnt expect free service for any problem, but what I had was simple enough for them to do complimentary. They did well to make a good impression with me.Thanks PDR.I might just hire them to fix this wheel bearing problem on my truck, if I cant do it myself :)

Was looking to purchase an older, high-mileage used vehicle from a local dealership but knew the vehicle would need some repair. I wanted to know exactly what Id be getting myself into before purchasing the vehicle. Despite being short staffed, PDR worked this inspection into their schedule. The vehicle had not been well maintained and needed much more work than what I was willing to do and more work than the dealership had identified. Thankful for such a thorough and timely inspection.

The guys were very helpful ... i won free oil changes from them at the working womans expo and when i brought my car there the battery died they ordered the new. battery and when it came in they sent a guy over to the house to jump the car so i could make it back there ... josh is great !!!

Ive had a very good experience here at PDR. Their all very nice, knowledgeable, and professional. Ive had multiple things fixed here recently and each job was done very well. These guys even fixed my moonroof for me for no charge. I did have a small negative issue. When they replaced my radiator, thermostat and radiator cap I asked them if they thought I should change the hoses too they said the mechanic didnt say anything about them so they didnt think they needed changing. Well that same night I found a huge leak coming from underneath my Jeep. Next day I took it in and learned it was the hoses. So while I had to pay $399 for new upper and lower hoses and clamps (I also had them do my serpentine belt), they also gave me a $150 discount which made the cost much more affordable for me. Now I called this a small issue because I was told something that made sense too me by one of the mechanics, and that is that after fixing something like the radiator a lot of times the pressure will go after the next weakest link...hence the hose bursting i guess. But even though that was the case they still gave me a discount. So I believe Ill be taking my business here for most of my Jeep fixes in the future.

This business puts people first! Since starting college and my professional career, I have moved A LOT and thus have been to a great number of auto repair shops along the way. This is by far the best one I have EVER been to! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!I went in today because my car felt like it was pulling to one side. I just moved to the area three days earlier and it made me nervous to have a car possibly break down when Im starting a new job and have no connections yet to ask for rides/help. The repairman looked my car all over and even went on a ride with me. He was totally honest with me saying that he felt my car was safe and couldnt find anything wrong with it. Any other place would have found something or made up a problem. As a woman, I really appreciated that he did not take advantage of me. I will be back here for ALL my auto maintenance needs as long as Im in Champaign (which hopefully is for a long time- Im sick of moving!)

My daughter just moved to Urbana and I am in Arizona. Her car broke down just a couple months after she was there. I had it towed to PDR and worked with John from long distance. He was patient, flexible, professional and informative. When the quote for parts was more than I could afford, I asked him to put in used parts that I ordered and he was very accommodating. Of course, I understood that he could not warranty the parts, but he worked with me on what I wanted to do. Great garage.

I had a lot of problems with my car, and when I took my car to a different repair shop, the estimate was astronomical. My friend recommended PDR, so I contacted them and told them what was wrong with my car. John at PDR got back to me right away, and created an estimate of anything that might be wrong with the car based on what I was describing, and said he would do a full inspection as soon as I brought my car in and before he did any work. After looking at my car, he called, emailed, and texted me with a very detailed inspection and exactly how much everything would cost. Even though I needed a lot of work done, it was done very quickly and everything seems to be working great so far! Im glad I listened to my friend, I only wish I had taken my car to PDR in the first place!

Really appreciate PDR’s great service after our van broke down on the interstate on Christmas Eve. This could have turned out badly since we were from out of state and they could have taken advantage our situation. But instead, they treated us like long time customers and were very accommodating in completing the repairs by the day after Christmas so we could return home from our visit to central Illinois. This is a great indicator of their business practices and I highly recommend them.

Im still running from shop to shop trying to get my truck fixed I told another shop about what was done here at PDR An what you all say I need repleaced An they let know that they will guarantee to shoot a better estimate just for my troubles! NOT VERY HONEST. NOT VERY HONEST. Try to charge as much as they can!!!!!Very bad experience with PDR automobile. I went there a week ago to ask how much it would be to change engine oil for my car. They had a check and said it would be 50 dollars. I returned today to change engine oil but forgot to confirm the price before the fix and it turns out to be almost 90 dollars!!!! Will never go back to this store again. I recommend everyone to go to other stores. They try to charge you money whenever they can!

I came in for a broken belt. After the repair was done there was a squeaking noise from the belt so I brought it in again and they changed a bolt for free to stop the noise. After about a week the noise came back and they retensioned the belt to stop the noise - again at no charge. I felt as though they very professional and straight forward. Highly recommend!

My car was leaking radiator fluid. I called PDR. and told them so. They set me up for an appointment on Jan 3. My Battery died before Jan 3. and I told them so. I told them that I would have my Saturn Relay towed to them about 15 mins late. They told me that they would replace the battery, radiator and  hoses for $1,070.00. I told them that I will have my car towed back to my house then the said I owed $225 for the estimate. They didnt mention diagnostic charge at any time and they didnt allow the towing company to take my car until I paid. They later brought it down to $197.00. Be aware if PDR  just looks at your car youre going to pay about $200.00 and the  average radiator replacement is about  $500 according to the internet.

PDR has treated me great again and took care of everything even contact my Extended Warranty CO. and working out the details. Love those boys at PDR
