Recently had my oil change done here in my Yukon and the service was good so I decided to bring my Hyundai in for an oil change. After waiting an hour and a half, I was told they may have to order the parts. After confirming they had the filter in stock, they tell me it would cost an additional $20-$30, so $80-$90 for my 2.0 oil change. I said no thanks. I’ll go elsewhere.I think a good shop would have told me at some point while I waited.

Lucky Im even giving it one star. Actually Im only going to give it 0.5 out of 5. I was going in to look at a vehicle. I liked it...but I needed to place a hold on the vehicle. So I gave them my card information and they were going to place a hold of $500 on the vehicle...they never took it off the market and kept threatening me to sell it when I already had a hold on it. Very unprofessional salesman too he kept arguing with me about details on the vehicle and what we had discussed, it was just very unprofessional and a waste of my time. Also, sales guy was pushy I just told him to sell it....that week I was waiting for my truck to sell but deal fell thru, thats why I had this on hold so I had something. They werent prepared either, when I went in to do paperwork after I had set up an appointment they had it locked it a room somewhere. Communication was non existent.. plus they never gave me a precise figure on my payment they just said they got under the amount I wanted...If your time is valuable to you DO NOT waste it here. Ive been to a lot of dealerships in past Bur this was probably one of my worst experiences. To top it off i ended up buying other vehicle with same equipment..same vehicle..one year older and like 22,000 miles less and the vehicle was 500$ cheaper at this particular dealership...explain why ???? Ill never do business here and I wouldnt recommend anyone to this place to anyone I know. Thanks have a great day

My son and I had a horrible experience in July at this dealership. We stopped in because we saw cars on the lot and wanted to do a test drive.The salesman told us he wouldn’t waste his time on us because he didn’t think my son would get approved for financing.He said he wasn’t about to waste his time on us when someone else could drive in and he could lose a sale while spending time with us.He was rude, arrogant, and completely oblivious to what active military means.He asked my son if he had a job?!?Yes, active military.He ended the whole ugly ordeal by handing us his business card and told us to look him up when we came back pre-approved.We’re not going back and neither are any of our friends or family.

I am not disappointed in the actual oil changing service, but I disappointed in several things:1) Car washes used to be included with oil change, but are no longer included;2) Your cheapest oil change was $60.00, and did not include car wash or tire rotation;3) Tire rotation was $15 + $60 oil change, so $75 for a basic service, that is high in comparison to others.4) I had a fog light out, they offered to replace it for $12.00 plus the cost of the bulb, then they realized they couldnt replace the bulb, so i would have to make an appointment with the service department.5) Thankfully i had a $20.00 off coupon, otherwise the cost of the service i received was definitely not worth it.

Okay, I think it is wrong that you charge the sticker price. You like all car dealers are taking advantage of the pandemic. I was told long ago that a good deal is when both sides feel they were treated fairly and not taken advantage of. This is only the second time in my life I have paid sticker price. I guess I should be happy that you were not charging more than the sticker price. I know there is a car shortage and it was my choice to pay the sticker price, so I am not complaining I knew what I was getting and that buying at this time I would pay more than it is worth. I would not have said anything but your survey wanted a comment like you are good guys you did me a great deal and service. Like you really value my business. We both know that is a crock. You are no worse than the other dealers and really no better!! You even shorted me on my trade-in. So I guess change this survey, so you do not have to hear at least my real feeling on my recent car puschase. I do like the car. So I changed your ratings from a 10 to a 5 and 5 star to a 3 star. Just as good as all the other dealers. I would be amazed if this ever is published.

Dropped my vehicle off on a scheduled day at 7:00 a.m. for a recall repair. The service manager said it would be completed by the end of the day. Arrangements were made for the shuttle to bring me back to the dealership at 4:00 p.m. When I returned, the work hadnt been started. The service manager said I could wait 30 minutes for them to do the work or they could pick up my car the next day. I opted to wait and have them complete the recall. Fifteen minutes later he came back and said they couldnt complete the recall in 30 minutes. Arrangements were made for my car to be picked up the next day. The recall work was completed that day. I was without a car for 2 full days and waited at the dealership for 45 minutes while the manager figured out a solution. I was given an apology, but no compensation for my time or loss of a vehicle for 2 days. This is not my first poor experience with the Bob Brown service department. The facilities are nice and the shuttle service is great, but it has consistently taken more than one appointment to complete work.

Scheduled an appointment for an oil change online. Arrived to service center and was told that I had to go to the Quick Lube center for that service. What they failed to tell me was that the Quick Lube takes first-come-first-serve. So despite having scheduled an appointment for 11:30, I had to wait 35 minutes to get in. This is not a reflection of the Quick Lube center - they were great, efficient and performed the service well. The main service center person who sent me there was in the wrong.

I took my car due to a recall. Car was returned to me with a dent on the right front bumper. Notes were made by Mr. John and parts were to be ordered.My wife was supposed to be contacted, which never happened.Upon my return to the States, I will be taking Bob Brow to the small claims court, reporting the store to BBB and the state consumer affair division.

I had my truck in for an accident repair. Since AAA towed the truck in, I didnt have any input on that end. The truck was fixed in short order, and was cleaned up better than it arrived.Overall Im very pleased in the final product, and condition of like new truck.

GreatUpdate. Less happy. We asked about gap control on cruise control and adjusting mirrors when setting memory seats and we were told yes vehicles has them. Once we bought they showed us how stuff worked and both those things were in training and how to do it. Once we got home realized they did not work. Took back and we were told they didn’t know why they did not work but they would have to have vehicle all day to fix. We were there about an hour. We decided to take in for work at dealer closer to home. This new dealership took only 35 minutes to figure out car is not equipped with those options. So not only did Browns lead us to believe we had options we did not get but they did not really try to figure out why. Pretty annoyed and disappointed that we spent all this money and did not get options you typically get on much less expensive vehicles!

It’s been 7 years since we bought a new family vehicle. We decided we wanted a 2021 Traverse. She had her heart set on an 3LT and it had to be black cherry in color. We looked all over the state of IA, NE and SD. She found on me at Bob Brown. I submitted an online inquiry so see if it was still available and Calvin reached out within hours. He was excellent to work with and made the process move smoothly. It was weird to essentially buy a new vehicle over the phone but we beyond happy with our new ride. The customer serve when we arrived last Saturday was excellent! Will definitely be returning customers.

I bought a used vehicle last week and after I left I noticed there was some smell coming from ac vents as ac is running . The smell is unbearable and smells like a chemical. Tried to call my salesman he didn’t answer he was with another customer. He texted me back saying to call the service and schedule an appointment. I feel like someone should be able to help me out since it’s an emergency and I can’t drive the vehicle with this smell. I shouldn’t have issues with vehicle that I bought not even week ago. The cabin filter was not changed out either.

We brought in a pickup for a check engine light on and I asked them to look at a/c because it wasnt blowing out very much they replaced the cabin air filter but it was blowing out the wrong vents and warm so I took it to our local mechanic and he had to reset the computer for the doors and made it work again other than that we are usually satisfied with their work

Scheduled an appointment to have some issues addressed and possibly fixed, asked about and rental car, a loaner or a beater to have to drive while its being fixed. Was told they dont have any at all but they could offer a shuttle service home. Explained I drive to a jobsite 110 miles round trip daily and that wouldnt work neither would leaving it for a weekend. And Im not spending $600 a week on a rental car. The issues are for brake system and antilock brake system and hard brake pedal when coming to a stop, along with other electrical issues.On top of all that just to get ahold of an adviser I had to called the general manager who was a home for the day, he also seems to be the only one who cares about the dealership as a whole. Terrible customer service and will never again be purchasing another vehicle from here, my advice go to Karls because they will give customers a loaner if they bought their car from them.

I contacted our local dealership because i had an issue with my Impala. I was getting messages on my dashboard saying that the car was having trouble cooling the engine. I contacted my dealership to see about an appointment because i could not drive it without causing further damage. i was told the next appointment would be about 4 business days out. I explained to them that we had had a very tragic family emergency and they said we could come in the next morning and talk to Steve Eastman, a service advisor at Bob Brown. We came in the next morning and just asked if they could do diagnostics on the car and let us know if there was anything they could do for us. Steve immediately pulled up the info on our car and extended warranty and said he would see what he could do. He called me about an hour and a half after we got home and said they knew what the problem was and he had contacted the company that had the warranty. He had the service department fix our car and we were able to pick it up by 12:30 that afternoon. He gave us outanding service and was very gracious. We thank him for his commitment to his cusomers and his understanding. Thank you for helping us during a very stressful time.

I brought my 2015 siverado in for a rear diff fluid change and a noise in the rear end. I bought this from brown and they have done all the service. Instead of pulling diff cover they just sucked out the old fluid. So no inspection was done. Now 4 months later almost to the day I took to a different shop. The pinion and carrier bearings are shot and need complete overhaul. Metal shavings all over. Not a happy camper about this.

I have never left a negative review. This one however, after several horrible experiences with Bob Brown, is well deserved. I will not be listing out all the reasons this place is beyond incompetent because after being lied to, taken advantage of, and passed around to 5 different salesmen, I quite frankly dont have the energy to. I am writing this review only to warn others as I wish I had read honest reviews prior to stepping foot into Bob Brown and wasting my time. Had one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Due to sudden circumstances my mom is having to go car shopping. Stopped in to look at the Equinox & Trailblazers. No one could be found as we walked in & we were not greeted by the lady at the desk. We walked to the sales area and a sales consultant looked at us, got up from his desk & hid behind another row of desks. Another sales consultant (who was watching a movie full blast at his desk) glanced up and asked if we needed him. Let him know we were looking to test drive a few cars. Without looking said he didn’t think they had any but could check. After asking him to we were told there were none in the area & he resumed his movie without further assistance. Very poor customer service. Would recommend making the trip to Ankeny to go to Karl’s Chevrolet instead.

I came in for a existing problem the engine light had came on and there were codes of the problem. Second time in with this problem. By the time my appointment time the light would go out. First time they said without a light on there was nothing to fix. This time happened again. I talk with service advisor and told him that I was tied of the car dying all the time and having people honk at me to get going. This advisor said we will get it fixed. And it is fixed. He listen to me and got it done. I will be back to see him when I have problems with my car.

I believe that the Customer Service experience was average, to above average (Courteous, timely, professional)however my over all experience was poor. The poor experience had little to do with the process or the people, but rather the concept of how this dealership and Chevrolet as a company are managing the shift in vehicle maintenance.My service was for my 2015 Volt which had an error message regarding the High voltage charging system. This error prevented me from being able to charge my EV, the primary reason for owning it. The result was a ~$130 bill for the tech to make a standard upgrade to the software for the car. One of which I could not do myself. In the age of high tech autos, creating a problem and then charging someone for the solution diminishes the credibility of the company and erodes trust of the consumer. I appreciate that this is a transitional time for the industry and everyone is trying to figure out how to transition to a new way of doing things, but please dont make your brand loyal consumers pay for that education.

I was in a car accident which resulted in having to purchase a replacement vehicle. I had visited numerous websites and dealerships to find a car that made it even more stressful, but then I was connected to Gabby! Her follow-up was great - she let me know about all of my vehicle options and kept me up to date about the status of the car that I wanted that was not immediately available for a test drive or sale. While I looked for other cars out of necessity, I really wanted a sale to be credited to Gabby because I was impressed with her professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge about the cars on the lot. I was also impressed with Deanne who helped with the financing part of the purchase. Bob Brown Cheverolet has two terrific team members. I had one unpleasant experience with a salesperson at another dealership who was rude, pushy, and kind of mean...contrasted with my experience at Bob Brown Chevrolet, it was night and day. I have never encountered an oil change that resulted in an extra hour wait due to Someone running out of oil. I would understand if it was the end of the day but not at 10:00 a.m. I feel like some sort of end of the day inventory or beginning of the day inventory would resolve this from happening to anyone else.

No big deal ‘till you realize that every break or seam in the concrete you put your foot on leaves your birth parent paralyzed...you monster.Stay safe. Awesome experience. I called about a truck and spoke with Pat, he was very personable and put the truck on hold for me until I could make it there later that day. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the entire staff. The truck was ready to go. The wife, two young sons and I, hopped in and took it for a good spin. When we came back, Pat did a thorough walk around the truck with me to inspect it; all the while, freezing our butts off in 19 degree temps. We then went in and negotiated and I left Bob Brown with a new truck! I also dealt with Matt who I signed all the paperwork with. Not one time did I feel pressured nor did they try to push another higher priced vehicle. They knew what I was looking for and stuck within those parameters. I highly recommend Bob Brown, and especially Pat. Thank you for the great transaction!

When I bought my car there were two issues that need addressed1. The door lock knob was missing.2. The the drivers front drivers side tire pressure sensor was out.I was told the service department would contact me to schedule repairs in a day or so. After a week I had not heard anything so I contacted them. They knew nothing about it. We scheduled a appointment and was told the parts were in stock. I dropped off the car then ran some errands. After 5 1/2 hours I returned and they were just getting started on the door. After another 1/2 hour they told the part for the door would have to be ordered and the part would be in the following Monday and would I like to schedule another appointment. I decided to wait until after Monday to be sure the part came in. I then called on the following Wednesday and the part was still not in and was asked if I would I like to schedule a appointment for the the following week. I did and the car was finally repaired after a month and two trips to the service department. I understand the ordering of parts and the time to receive them. Whats upsetting is the lack of curtesy shown by never receiving a single call from the service department and that I had to initiate all the conversation. I’m willing to withhold further judgment ( good or bad) until my next service appointment. If the experience is similar I will strongly consider another company for my service work. I will say the second appointment was better than the first and the service technician was much more considerate than the first.

I recently bought a car from the Bob Brown Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) lot in Ankeny, Iowa. I left with the impression that the vehicle had been placed on the CPO lot, due to it having passed the CPO requirements. I was on the Chevrolet website and was looking at the warranty information and found the CPO page. The warranty information listed several CPO warranties that I was not made aware of. I attempted to contact the Used Car Sales Manager but was told he was busy, so I left a message, to which I never received a return call, as expected. I went to dealership, Saturday, April 11th, to clarify the CPO warranties. I talked to a Sales Manager, who didnt identify himself and attempted to talk to him about this issue. I was told that only certain vehicles were CPO to save the customers the pass on costs to do a CPO. I pointed out that I bought the car there and pointed out the Bob Brown Certified Previously Owned sign at the corner of the lot. He stated that it wasnt GM policy to certify all cars, but it was Bob Brown Chevrolets decision which ones to do a CPO on. He looked up the auto I purchased and stated that my auto was not CPO. He stated that I could tell if it was by the Bob Brown license plate, as it would say Certified on it. I asked to speak to his Manager and was told he had gone home for the weekend. I feel that I was deceived by the CPO signage at the used auto lot, by not being told that the auto I purchased was not a CPO. The automatic inclusion in my paperwork of a policy to cover Bumper-to-Bumper when my warranty expired in three months, the misinformation about the CPO identification on the vehicles and the overall deception on the part of the dealership to enforce a non-existent CPO program, conceived to mislead the general public. Yes, I found on the Bob Brown website a few CPO listed vehicles, primarily large SUVs and trucks, apparently ones that nobody wants without a CPO as an incentive to buy. I want this matter corrected, and will do what I can to correct this mismanagement policy, no matter what.

I went to Bob Brown Chevrolet, Quick Lube, for an oil change. The crew got me in in minutes, I stayed in my pickup they changed the oil and ran my credit card, I was done in about 30 minutes with no problems. Very nice techs, they took good care of me.

I made an appointment to have my new car, that’s still under warranty looked at. The battery that was in the car when I bought it had died and fails under a load, and also seeped/leaked battery acid in the area where it sits. I had replaced the battery prior to my appointment since there were no rental options at the dealership and my battery was also not replaced. I’m 100% sure a leaking battery is covered under warranty and that’s the last time I ever buy from Bob Brown

This is the 2nd new vehicle we’ve purchased from Bob Brown. Our experience was good the first time but absolutely AMAZING this time around!I called in one day about 3-4 weeks ago and Calvin answered the phone. I let him know we were interested in trading in our old truck for a new one. Calvin asked if we wanted to come in that same day and I quickly replied yes and now if possible. He told us to come on in.We got there and there was another customer waiting to see Calvin right in front of us. He did his best to help us both even though it was hectic. He took us both down to get appraisals on our vehicles and even made time to take us around the lot to look at new trucks!We didn’t find one we liked that day so Calvin took the time to ask specific questions to understand exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately you guys didn’t have anything on the lot that met our needs.Calvin searched high and low and as far out as 500 miles to find us the exact truck we wanted. He stayed in contact with me daily to give me updates and to talk through different trucks and the status of them!It took a long three weeks but Calvin was able to get us the truck of our dreams that is the perfect truck for my husband and his business. The truck is immaculate and beautiful! Exactly what my husband wanted and more.Calvin was the best sales representative we’ve ever had purchasing a vehicle! He was up front and honest, he wanted to find us a truck we would love and worked so hard to do that.
