My family and I went and looked at 2019 Silverado, we worked with Emir. Emir was really professional and was patient with all the questions we had about the car. I have a Mercedes sprinter. Most of the sprinters are delivering Expedite loads. That’s why most of the sprinters are keep moving and do not know what place they will be at next day. That’s why it is so hard to make schedule for servicing since they don’t know what day, what place they are going to be at. I just came here this morning to get my oil service and they are trying to schedule it for 20 days later. I dropped off the load at John Deere last night and I will be in somewhere else most likely for today later on. I just need to get the job done because I don’t know where I’m gonna be at next day. They do want to sell sprinters but they do not want help them keeps moving. I can’t stop working for 20 days just to get a oil change. MERCEDES NEEDS FIND SOME PROBLEM SOLVING KEY.
How many synonyms for bad can you think of? Use them all. This place is a rip off.The car is a 2008 Mercedes Benz S550. The radio stopped working and I was advised to bring it to a Mercedes Benz dealership, so I brought it to Mercedes Benz of Des Moines.I was also having a problem with the air suspension, so asked them to perform a diagnostic test. The total bill? $4300!!! You read that right, $4300 for the repairs needed.By the way, I didnt hear from them for a whole week. I couldnt see spending that kind of money on a car that is valued at just under $6,000. So I picked the car up.Fast forward 3 months. Winter is quickly approaching, so I decided to bite the bullet and have the car repaired, so I brought it back(I know, Im a glutton for punishment). Same scenario. A whole week went by and I didnt hear from them. When I called, they told me that they were waiting for my approval on repairs (I guess they lost my number and were waiting for me to call🤷🤦)I was told, that they needed to replace the batteries, at a charge of $600, plus another $120 for installation 🤷. I dont know about you, but Im not dumb enough to believe a battery for this car cost $600 and that you have to have a PhD to change it.Do yourself a favor and stay as far away as possible from these people.
This review is mainly for my sales person, Brent Caswell. I will say that the Mercedes Dealership is very clean, very accommodating and warm in relation to the staff and our finance person was absolutely awesome and just made the experience more fun in general...This is the third car we have purchased from Brent now. I literally will go out of my way to give him all of my business and send people to him. He is excellent... Hes not a pushy used car salesman nor does he try to put you into things just for heck of it... Instead he does whatever he can to find exactly what you want and make sure you get everything you need and want. Beyond that, he makes sure to work through everything with you and makes himself available to you as much as you could possibly ask for. He is extremely knowledgeable on the cars in general and also does a great job in explaining all the tech for you. I would give him 10 stars if it were an option.I can definitely feel strongly about recommending Mercedes to everyone... Most already know that the car itself is known to be the best, but it truly helps when you have such a great experience there!
I showed up wanting to trade my truck in and get myself something new and nicer… with the help of Emir Abidovic I sure got what I wanted, I fully didn’t know what I exactly wanted I just get him a little list of what I liked and he showed me bunch of newer cars and used cars. I informed him I’d like my car payment at a certain spot and he nailed it and got me even a better deal then I expected, he let me sit and look at every car no hesitation he explained everything fully to me due to never owning a vehicle this nice. I found the right car he let me test drive it and just enjoy the car for a while I came back informed him that’s the one I want let’s start paperwork out of all the vehicles iv bought all around his service was by far the best.. I still contact him with questions about the vehicle and he gets back to me right away. By far best sales person iv ever dealt with and will for sure buy more vehicles from him in the future
I went to look at an SL500. It was in pretty poor shape for just being looked at by a mechanic who test drove it over the weekend (according to the sales guy). No problem, BUT, NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR PHONE NUMBER! Now Im getting telemarketing survey calls on behalf of Mercedes of Des Moines. I will never buy a car there based on that alone.
I am thankful for my salesperson Emir for helping me get my dream Mercedes that iv always wanted! He was quick and efficient in showing me the car, and even going above and beyond showing up to my house with the car because i was busy at work! i will definitely be going back to him for my future car needs and be referring anyone who needs a car to him immediately!
My best friend bought a Cadillac CTS-V a few weeks back. We live in KC so they bought it sight unseen.Immediately upon delivery if his dream car he had to wait weeks to get after paying for it, he gets in to drive it the first time and there was a loud noise coming from the rear end. They sold them a Cadillac with 28k miles with a rear differential that was obviously SHOT!The kicker was that when they called to tell the dealer about the issue, their response was well good thing you bought a 3rd party warranty!Unreal!You would expect better than that from a Mercedes dealer.
I don’t know why but I expected more. Being a car salesman myself I thought I would at least be greeted in passing or asked if I needed any help. None of which happened. Parts department was slow to get to me, no one made eye contact with me. It’s not a way you want to feel when you just dropped hundreds of dollars on parts. The service advisor that assisted me, Nathan, was nice. Besides that they let me down in regards to not making me feel welcome and I think they were prejudiced because of my age and race. I could buy a brand new g wagon right then and there if the service would have been better but they just passed up on a selling opportunity by not even approaching me. 2 stars because I’m nice but really a zero star experience.

This is the fist time in all my years Ive purchase a vehicle that the check engine light came on within days of purchasing it. Granted, it was a used vehicle, however, I expect that a dealership of this size would do their due diligence when selling a used car. This car was purchased as a spare and has been in service after driving approximate 100 miles. Diagnostic cost is now at $700 and counting, because its requiring further diagnostics.
You know the typical stereotype of dealers? This place fits it. I came to look for a Camaro and gave the place a try because they had one on the lot. Now I am in the auto industry so I can tell when something is not right. My family came to the dealership for a test drive, and the salesman gives us the keys. Once we get in the car it doesn’t even turn over, and when I told the salesman, he said I wasn’t starting the car right. Like I think I know how to turn a key. Ok, that stuff happens. We go on the test drive and come back. We come out to inspect the car because we didn’t get a chance to walk around. And a massive, adult head size dent is in the fender of the car. And the best part, the salesman said “I didn’t ever recall seeing that”. Imagine lying that much about a car to a customer. How do you not see that big of a dent, u bet they noticed when it was being traded in. And what makes it even better is that the car was 2-3k over market and they wouldn’t even adjust the price in spite of the dent. Don’t come here unless you are buying a new car, and even at that, be careful. Less than 3 days later I was able to find a car that was 4K cheaper and in much better condition. Shout out to Ibrahim at MB DSM for that amazing customer service (sarcasm).
If you are in the market for Mercedes i without doubt recommend this location. Today i bought my second vehicle with was streamlined, flawless, and a wonder experience. I would like to point out that Midhat provided amazing customer service, insight, and professionalism that was second to none. I also need to point out that Nate in service is my go to for any questions when it comes to service needs. Got a 2015 C300 in November with around 67,000 miles on it. Weve since put about 5,000 miles on it. Took it in yesterday for an oil change and got a call that the transmission filter and fluid is 10,000 miles overdue. Not sure why that was overlooked. Moreover, second key to the car doesnt work. Tried replacing the battery, called when that didnt fix it, and was told to call service to get it reprogrammed. Shop told me that kind of service doesnt exist for this particular model. Dud key and 600 dollars later, Im a pretty frustrated 3 month old Mercedes owner.

Leaving the showroom after waiting for almost an hour without any help. People who came after me were served before and that’s when I left. One would hope that the customer service would be great if you come to shop at a place like this but sadly very disappointed with the way I was treated. I don’t think I will ever come back here because I am spending money and would want to be treated fairly.
I recently bought a used Lexus RX350 from this dealership. The car had high mileage and a few issues, but it was sold as is so that’s expected. The car is reliable and works very well as described. My experience was good overall and the salesman and service personnel were friendly. My only issue was that there was a little miscommunication about the title of my trade in car so I had a go back and forth about it.Other than that, I feel like they are reliable and trusted dealership!

Sales manager dont know what he is doing, and will give you false/misleading information when purchasing a vehicle here. Do your own research and double check any deals they are trying to give you.

The parts department (Larry) seems to think that if they spend 10 minutes with a customer that its way to much of his precious time. Hello Larry did you forget what your job tile is??? Parts Department. Hello!! Which means answering questions, giving quotes, talking with the customer and sometimes them calling back when they leave messages. But twice you didnt do that either. The parts department is about ordering the parts when a customer calls back after authorization from the customer. Which means Larry, yes you are going to have to look stuff up one more time. Again did you forget what your job title is? And you sir are extremely rude. If you are that busy, ask your boss to hire someone to help, or just do us all a favor and find a different job. I was a repeat customer and you didnt have the time of day. So I took my money outta state. You Sir need a course on customer service. Sorry you are suffering from Richard Syndrome...

I ordered a Camber Bolt for my 2007 E350 from Parts Department on 11/24/20 over the phone. They told me they generally keep these in stock but did not have one on hand at this time and would call when it arrived.I called back on 11/27/20 to see if my order had arrived as my car was broke down. The parts manager stated that the part never showed up in the order from Mercedes Factory and the factory must have messed up his part order. He would let me know when it arrives. Still no return call as of 12/02/20 regarding the part, so I called them back again. This time I spoke with another Employee of the parts department and he let me know that the part had not shown up and that they would call when it arrives. Also stated that they know about the order and assured me they would call me once it showed up. After we ended our phone call, I called another Iowa Mercedes dealer and ordered the part there also just in case. The other dealer called me 1 day and half later to let me know that the Bolt arrived. To this Day 12/16/20 I still have not heard back from the Mercedes DM parts dept regarding my URGENT bolt order.

The salesman I worked with, Nicholaus, was helpful up until I purchased the vehicle. i came from out of town. when I signed papers I realized the mileage was off by 550 miles. the limited warranty also reflected the incorrect mileage. seems to me should not have been advertised that way. There were a few other minor things. Called Nicholaus and he didnt respond until 2 days later. He was to ask his manager a couple thongs and get back to me. That was 5 days ago! i even emailed assistant manager 5 days ago and again yesterday and no response. very poor customer service in my book. Seems like once they got their money they were done.

This was my first time visiting this place and I was assisted by a salesperson called Brian. I was extremely disappointed by this person’s service. This is because my dad wanted to buy one of their cars and he spoke to this person over the phone, giving details of all his financial limitations, expectations and other information. Instead of explaining the difficulty of being able to work within our budget through the phone, he made us come all the way to the office only to inform us that he could not work within our budget. The conversation seemed more like ‘negative news being thrown at us’ instead of politely explaining the whole situation. Because, imagine as a customer you are being ‘thrown off’ right at the doorstep of the office. Horrible service, do not go there please!
I purchased a used car from Mercedes Benz of Des Moines remotely without physically seeing or driving the car. The online advertisement had many, many photos that I used to help make my decision. My salesman even took a short video of the car running as part of the sales process.I had the car shipped to Michigan and when it came off the truck I was horrified with the condition of the paint! I had no idea what the filters used during the photo shoot were hiding! The front end looked like it was partially sandblasted and there were many other paint defects not shown in any of the photos. This is the worst looking black paint finish Ive ever seen on a Porsche. Its so bad that I would have eaten the cost of the freight to ship it back to the dealer.If I had seen this car in person I never would have made the decision to buy it! Im thoroughly disgusted with what feels like an attempt to deceive. A few days after the car arrived, after I had calmed down, I wrote the salesman about my disappointment I never received a response.Im very disappointed that my salesman, Johnny V. made no attempt to let me know that the paint on the car was very, very tired; he had the opportunity to show, in more detail, unfiltered, the actual condition of the finish.Very disappointed with this purchase.

My husband and I purchased two vehicles in a two day time span. Both times we experienced great customer service from Semir! A week after purchasing the vehicles I ordered my husband all weather floor mats as a surprise and Semir was able to help with the surprise by having them ready for my husband when he dropped by the dealership.

Purchased a used car, now having my second issue with it. when i called service they could get it in, but i wound need a loaner due to my work schedule.. the gentleman snickered and i was told i didn’t spend enough money for that. i then talked to my sales person and he said i could bring it in later in the month but my warranty wouldn’t cover it by then.. so even tho they were made aware of the problem a month before hand? never again.

If there’s one thing I can say for certain, car shopping has never been a fun experience for me. Midhat and the staff at Merecedes Benz of Des Moines changed that. I test drove an Escalade and absolutely loved it. After test driving around the area, I needed to confirm it fit in my garage and then needed to show my husband. Midhat was completely understanding of all the stops we had to make and was very friendly. When we got back to the office, he was very thorough and worked efficiently to get us in and out. He educated me on the car and was very up front and transparent about the entire process. I added an option to the car that needed an overnight service and that was scheduled very quickly with a loaner car available. I cannot give enough credit to Midhat and the staff for excellent customer service!

I was told I could test a Smart Car (used ) for the weekend to see if my wife could deal with such a small car. Drove across town and was told that the salesman was mistaken and that cars were only tested overnight. The manager accused me of trying to get a free rental! I have seven cars and dont need a free rental. Salesman called today and apologized for his mistake.

We were looking for a Suburban or Tahoe to purchase. We drove to 10 different car dealerships in the area before we found one at this location. We were unsure of the mask policy. My husband unfortunately can not wear a mask so he is extremely cautious and careful to stay away from people and crowds. We actually called from our car and to speak to a salesman. We were connected to Midhat. He came right out and was totally welcoming to us and showed us the vehicle we were interested in. No pressure to buy. We already had financing so just needed a vehicle. Midhat was great to work with and made sure we had everything we needed to make the paperwork go smoothly. Connected with our banker so we didnt have to be the go between and lose information or get any confused during the process. When we arrived the vehicle was up front, clean and ready to go. We had to have our older kids bring us to pick up the car and it was cold! Midhat offered for them to wait inside and enjoy some hot chocolate and snacks. I will have to say it was the best hot chocolate. I felt very safe handling the machine to get the hot chocolate. Everything was cleaned and sanitized and felt very comfortable in the environment. They even use a different sanitizing method when detailing the car because of covid and Midhat disclosed that to us and explained it. Overall I hate buying cars and hate spending money. I find it very stressful. Our experience was a really good one and very smooth. I appreciate not having issues with the process. Even though it was a pre-owned vehicle and lower in price than what they normally sell off the showroom floor we felt like they valued us as customers. Ask for Midhat if you need a good salesman.

We found a CPO for our daughter and worked with Samir as our sales man and Walt the finance manager Samir was very pleasant and full of energy. We had a very pleasant experience, so much so that two months later we were back at Mercedes-Benz of Des Moines and found a second car also CPO for our other daughter. We arrived late in the evening on a Monday and were there past closing wrapping up the financing. We worked with Samir and Walt again and had a great experience. Not once did anyone make us feel rushed as we worked back and forth on our transaction as we approached closing time and past closing time. Even though we bought used vehicles the experience made both our daughters feel like rock stars, like they had just bought a brand new Mercedes.

We couldn’t be more satisfied with our recent purchase from Mercedes of Des Moines. As we browsed the lot we met Samir Eminic who gladly answered the many questions of the cars we were looking at. He was very knowledgeable, patient and we never felt pressured like we have at other dealerships. We test drove a beautiful ML but made it clear we didn’t purchase that evening because we had just began our search and wanted to visit other dealerships. Ill start by saying I would highly recommend calling Mercedes of Omaha before doing any deals with Mercedes of Des Moines. I leased a vehicle in December of 2015 out of Des Moines and had a very bad taste in my mouth after the deal, however like most people wanting a Mercedes in Des Moines, what other choice did I have. The salesman are always nice and pleasant to work with, but when it comes deal time you usually end up dealing with the sales manager. That is where I would say the breakdown is in Des Moines compared to Omaha. Just to give one example of the pettiness I encountered; after the deal was negotiated the sales manager Connor, who was not pleasant to work with the entire time, tried to up my payment by $10 per month saying he would give me free car washes each week. Well in case you dont know Mercedes offers that anyway. Now to present day. I went to trade in my lease on Friday and wanted to give them another chance and see what they could do. After explaining my last encounter and of course asking for the best they could do and knowing exactly where I was on my current lease, they insult me with an extremely high offer. So, I called Omaha and over the phone asked for all the same info and they were much much lower for the exact same car on their initial offer. I gave Connor a chance with Omahas starting number and he couldnt even get there, so the conversation was over. Called Scott and Pat back in Omaha and after 15 minutes of negotiating over the phone I drove to Omaha and picked up my new lease yesterday and they gave me everything that Des Moines and Connor said couldnt be done, now way no how. I am a reasonable person and am in sales myself, so I understand the business and I will never do business with Mercedes of Des Moines again. Omaha now has a new long term customer.
