I take my car in for routine maintenance. The owner James and his team provides awesome customer service and great car care. They not only care about your car they care about their customers. I have come to know this team to be accommodating, knowledgeable with great communication while providing quick and friendly service. We had a terrible experience at Wheel Works. They misdiagnosed my wifes car, charged us and never fixed the problem. James @ AAMCO was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and honest throughout the entire processHe phoned me before and after the diagnostic was completed. He explained parts, labor, tax and final price. We also know that Nissan parts are warrantied for a year. We are telling everyone to use AAMCO.P.S. the mechanics in the shop were courteous also. I needed guidance prior to speaking with James. Kudos to the whole team.

I like AAMCo based on my experience, they are my long time repair shop. They always did a good job on my car whatever problems i had in my car, they keep on trying to solve it especially the Manager and Kaye. I like Kaye, shes nice, good person and knows how to deal with the customers.I always recommend them with my friends because of their quality of work and reasonable price.

The woman that helped me in the office, Kay I believe her name was, was wonderful and so helpful even when a small error was made she went above and beyond to help me out and get me on my way as quickly as possible! Her kindness and help is why I will recommend this service center.

I went to AAMCO for my transmission and they did great on my transmission. Ive driven it for a couple months and it drives so much smoother. They had me bring my car in after two weeks to make sure that everything was going good, and it was! They are so helpful with information and the pricing is super fair. Kay is great and will help with anything. My car was overheating due to a bursted radiator cap and Mark helped me fix it. They are a great group of people and I definitely will bring all my car needs to them!

Great service! I came in later in the work day to have my window motor repaired. James was able to get me same day repair at an amazingly affordable cost. Staff was friendly and were able to refer me to good local restaurants to grab a bite to eat while I waited. Definitely the first place Ill go to for all my car problems!

AAMCO staff are the greatest! They’ve checked my “check engine light” twice and both times saved me time and money! Today though, Daniel helped me and because of him I am a bigger fan of AAMCO! Not only did he listened to my last weeks service issue (through another body shop) but within seconds of looking at my engine he found and reconnected two lose tubes (not related to my other issue but he knew that service required this tubing be moved but should have been properly replaced). I had only pulled in for a quick check engine check but because of his many special gifts, my check engine light is now off! I’m so amazed and appreciative of AAMCO customer service. I Highly recommend them as your first stop when you need car service.

This is always the first place I think of when I need any work done. Though I think a lot of people feel this way because Ive never been there when it wasnt packed with a line. My 2008 Kia Optima reached 300,000 miles two years ago and needed a replacement transmission. I had to make a hard choice; keep and fix the car that was running well and had low insurance and registration, or get another car. Kay and James explained to me that the least expensive transmissions (used) are actually tested by LKQ, a well-known parts firm, and I can even buy a low cost warranty for the used transmission, which I did. My experience has been fantastic, and the investment in the used transmission paid for itself after just a few months. I now have 363,000 miles on the car and it runs perfectly. I could not be happier with AAMCO Vallejo and have referred numerous friends and family to them

When I need trustworthiness in getting my car fixed I go to AAMCO Transmission.

Needed work done on my ride but didn’t have time to shop around. Thought I’d give these guys a try. Years ago I wasn’t happy with this AAMCO, but I was desperate. Well, I’m glad I gave this shop another shot. New ownership is there and it shows right from the get go. The shop was clean and had a professional look (wasn’t that way before). Greeted by Kay. She was great. She got my car into the techs, diagnostics was done quickly, the repairs were fully explained to me and I went ahead with getting the work done. Everything fixed. No problems. Still I wondered if I got a good deal. I decided to call around asking for estimates. Most shops wanted me to bring the car in, but I was able to get some quotes. Turns out I got a great deal. So, as long as the new management is around, I will make this AAMCO my go to shop from now on.

James and the whole staff were quite friendly! They serviced my car quickly, which I appreciated. Highly recommend.

Changed my drive axle there. They said it was OK to drive. My drive axle falls off after a couple of days. This happens twice. The second time my car nearly runs out of transmission fluid. I had to have it replaced again. They said there was no damage to the transmission. Had to have it replaced three times. I never want to come here again.

My 2008 Nissan stopped on me at Sonoma Raceway, got it towed, though it was my transmission, DAM 2,000 plus right, took it to AAMCO Transmission of Vallejo, explain the problem to the NICE Lady aka Kay Keller, I left received a call a little later she gave me a price, I was like DAM and you havent even gotten to the transmission. Took a 92 work truck in, was advised that it would be worth having the engine replaced instead of purchasing a newer one. Gave the okay with an estimate a bit over $4700.00. They gave me a date of when the work would be completed but when the day came, all I got was the run around. I finally got it 8 days after the work was to be completed. When I finally got it, I had problems with it and it had to go back the very next day. Its been 5 days now and this time the truck is ready and its sitting in their parking lot because I didnt have an extra $200 to pay. The manager is rude, hes someone who should not be dealing with the public. Personally I think hes racist and the only reason I say that is because he was not only rude and sarcastic with me but also with the African American lady that was right behind me. He tended to the Caucasian fellow very well. Just sayin. I trusted this place to do their job and do it with integrity but they fell short. I do believe in what goes around comes around. Look elsewhere if you want honest, respectful and caring people on your side. If I wouldnt have trusted their ratings, I wouldve just bought a new truck with that money. Now their saying its got problems with the transmission. It was fine before we took it in. Go figure.

I think this business has changed hands recently. A couple of years ago, I went there with our van which wasnt shifting like it should. They fixed it the same day and for a reasonable price. This year I noticed the tachometer on my car wasnt showing the same RPMs for idling that it usually did and the check engine light came on also. When I went there this year, they changed out 3 different parts with NO difference in my tachometer or anything else except the Check Engine light being off now. The bill was almost $900. I wont go there anymore. I trust the dealer more and they price wouldnt be any higher

Not only did you get my car sooner than you promised but my Kia has never ran so well since the installation of my transmission. I have been traveling back and forth from San Francisco to Los Angeles without any issues at all. I have already placed 35,000 miles on my transmission and it feels like new. WOW! can’t believe how bad they did me I took my car into have a tranny replaced and fix all my oil leaks they repair the transmission but didnt fix the oil leaks didn’t realize until a few mos. later that my car was still leaking oil so I take it back too them. Now there under different ownership but they did honor my expired contract but the repair they supposedly did should have been fix before. The repairs took them almost two weeks to repair my car. When I receive my car back you would not believe me but there was oil stains everywhere in my car and on my paint they left my car like they was a backyard garage repair shop beware consumers

They had trouble getting my car fixed but kept me updated on what was going on. Picked up my car Friday and Saturday car started acting up again. Need to take it back in to see whats going on .

I thought I was going to need major work when our Avalons transmission started slipping getting on the freeway one morning. The folks at AAMCO in Vallejo checked everything out, and found the fluid was very dark. They said it just needed a regular Transmission Service. Less than $200, and the car is running great! Thanks... to the kind folks at AAMCO!.

I brought my truck in because the transmission was shifting very hard. I was told to leave it at this Aamco to be looked at. I left the truck and WALKED HOME about 4 miles. Later that day I was told there’s nothing they can tell is wrong with out dropping the pan and look for Metal fragments. I say OK well come drop the pan and let’s see what’s wrong if anything I get the truck back and about two days later I have a transmission fluid leaking all over my driveway before I brought the truck in I never had a leak just a hard shift so I go back by and I’m told we’re too busy right now can you come back another day( some service that is) so I bring the truck back by I’m told they used the wrong gasket they put in another gasket and about three days later it starts leaking again I called I spoke to someone who said oh we’re going to have to put in a different type of gasket I bring it back I walk home again and about two weeks later guess what? Yep, leaking again so I called and explained the problem again and the person I spoke with said bring it by I opted not to after three different tries so I climbed underneath and all the bolts to the pan were loose . I think they’re very busy because they repair the same cars that they work on over and over. I do not recommend this place. UPDATE: 2/15/18 EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL NEW OWNER JAMES IS JUST AS BAD AS THE LAST PERSON WHO OWNED THE PLACE.I was told by one person my transmission pan needed a new bolt and gasket which they did not do right the first time and than I was told it was an oil leak. Anyone knows the difference between transmission fluid and the color of oil. For those of you who dont know Transmission fluid is pink/reddish: Oil is a darker color OWNER JAMES CANT TELL THE DIFFERENCE when shown on a little piece of paper as he put it. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND BE CAREFUL.SEEMS LIKE A BAIT AND SWITCH TO ME. I WOULD GIVE ZERO IF I COULD. ANOTHER UPDATE: This shop is so INEPT they cant even order the right bolts for ME to install on work they did WRONG......F- AND THE SAGA CONTINUES .... SEE PHOTOS... LOOK AT HOW MY TRANSMISSION IS LEAKING !!!!!!!!!!!!! UNACCEPTABLE. THIS IS HOW THEY FIXED MY TRANSMISSION. TRUCK IS NOW UNDRIVEABLE. You send out a generic email to cover you A** James the owner treated me with utter disrespect and I was very uncomfortable with his demeanor. He had the NERVE to tell me I was unhappy with my life. I have this on record. My life is fine without AAMCO IN IT!! I would never return to your little shop of horrors or any other AAMCO. You posted the reply after I was already at your shop BE CAREFUL WITH THIS PLACE

Brought a car in for them to do a diagnostics check on the engine light. Less than a month later the light came back on and they want to charge full price to find out what is wrong with it. Not a reputable business. And oh I should add too; the same code that was pulled the last time for which was paid is one of the same codes that appeared again. So they obviously did not resolve the issue the last time or that they did a poor job at resolving it.

Went to the ship to fill out papwrwork and let them know my sons car was getting towed there. My sons car got towed to the shop yesterday at 12:13pm. NO CALL from the shop to say they received it. Called Sat morning over and over for 30 mins... online says that they are open 8am - 1pm. Find someone to bring my son to the shop. At 10:45am Doors locked, garage closed, lights off... sign on the door open. 8a - 1p on Sat. Worst service ever, not only did they not call us about the car, closed with no notification, now we are forced to wait until Monday to MAYBE talk to someone and see whats wrong with the car! NOT HAPPY!Owner said in response email him... sent the email the same day I wrote this post... 7/15... never received a response before or after he wrote his comment...

I brought my Mazda Miata there and I told them my shifter is sticking and wont come outta 1st and 2nd gear they said they have to run a diognostic test on it to find out exactly whats wrong with it. It charged me $120 to do it. They claimed that this $120 will find out exactly whats wrong with it.They ran a diognostic test that revealed nothing is wrong and then they drove my car to find out the clutch gets stuck in 1st and 2nd gear. They then told it will be $680 dollars to take that apart (NOT TO FIX IT) just to find out whats wrong with the clutch. After they give me all this b.s. The mechanic starts being hella rude to me and my father for asking question. So we asked if we just paid $120 to find out what we already know (its the clutch) he just replied yup! Never going back!!!!

Took my 2007 Dodge Nitro in for transmission problem they charged me 1500 dollars to fix the problem only 1 1/2 months later Im having the same problem take it to a AAMCO in Oklahoma and they say I need a new transmission or a rebuilt one its costing me another $500 for them to do a DRI which should of been done the first time they advertise that they can diagnose from you explaining, also check engine light supposed to be free all untrue they charge you VALLEJO AAMCO IS NO GOOD THEY ARE FRAUD DONT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE I CAN KEEP WRITING BUT I WILL WAIT UNTIL I FOLLOW UP WITH THE Better Business Bureau
