All the while im still going to have a full bill next month. Do yourself a favor and get internet anywhere else you can find it. By the way T-Mobile now offers wireless modems. 👏

I’d give them negative stars if I could. If I had any other option, I’d cancel my service. It has now been one year and 4 days since we got our service and they have still not buried the cable that runs diagonally across the entirety of our one acre backyard. We call them weekly and sometimes more, and they promise to come. Surprise, surprise! They don’t! Our dog chews the cable, it was out during the freeze, during the flooding this summer, in the bearing down heat. Still they don’t come. Oh they’ll send someone to fix the cable and swear the burying crew will be out ASAP, but it’s just lies. Our children trip over the cable and hurt themselves, it’s a massive pain to mow with that going across the whole yard. COME BURY THIS CABLE!

My wife is about to lose her job because we went with suddenlink. She relies on the internet for her work and our 6 month old router went out today. Theres no way we can replace it today because the stores are closed. Shes in training so no grace for missing work. Thanks suddenlink.

Horrible internet, horrible customer service and horrible that there is some sort of monopoly that they have in my city of Victoria so I can’t shop around for another service. I was prepared to write the most horrible review after speaking to a few representatives, but then after calling back a third time, Adam answered the phone and changed my entire experience. This agent was friendly, calm, listened, empathized and quickly made me rethink the review I was writing while waiting for an agent to answer!He hit all the marks in customer service perfection. I am hoping you will get an Adam when you call, it took me 3 tries, but worth it.

I wish there was another Internet provider in Victoria. I have not had internet for over 2 months now. I am paying for a 400mb service and at best getting around 25mb. My service comes in and out every 15 to 20 minutes and I cannot even work from home because its so bad. You cannot call into the local office to get any help and when you do call in to the call center you will wait on hold for problems every time at least an hour. I finally got a number for a local guy here that told me to contact him directly with issues and he would help get things taken care of instead of going through their call center but he is no better than the corporate call center. This is the WORST customer support I have ever experienced.

This is the only ISP in the area for my girlfriend and I. They are useless and have absolutely no concern for their customers. Because you have no choice I will use this review to provide some advice on how to handle Sudden-link and their hopeless service. You have to argue with them and demand what you need. Do not trust any of their representatives and ask for every employees name and get every commitment they make to you in writing. You need to document yourself everything you do with them because if not they will not deliver and then claim that you are responsible for their lies and failure to meet commitment.

I have had issues with Suddenlink for years. I would gladly pay more to another company for the same speed internet just to get away from Suddenlink but there’s not another high speed internet provider in my city. I just moved into a new home and have been waiting 2 weeks to get my service transferred. I schedule appointments and they don’t show up, and don’t call or give me any notice that they are not coming. They didn’t show up AGAIN yesterday, and now I have to wait another week. They’re unapologetic and do not care because they have no local competition.

Download speeds that are inconsistent, and upload speeds that tank to unusable levels constantly. We have had issues with the customer service for nearly a year now, we use to have technicians out here every other week to try and fix our issues, no fix and the issues still persist. Paying way too much for service that doesnt work for the price were paying. I hope we have more options in the future for internet service.

Need more options for internet here in Victoria. Been with Suddenlink for many many years but only because there is no other fast internet options in the area. Customer service at the office is non existent and if you call in you have long wait time and problems dont get resolved. Its horrible. Check out all reviews here and anywhere there is a Suddenlink ad, no one feels like we have a choice in our area. Finally turned off their cable a few years ago as well. Expect to pay way to much for cable and internet here and expect to have prices go up for no reason all the time. They are a nightmare. Finally saw info that the city is even trying to get another internet company in our area....ummmm its about time

Phone help center is worthless couldnt reconnect my boxes, their system dropped off and then started getting charges for 4 instead of 2. Service center in town wouldnt help had to call billing and only got credit for 2 days lost service when it was 1 1/2months. Technicians were booked 1 week out and after 3 trips and replacing DVR finally had service but billing was messed up. Then they tried drawing payment from my bank for the overcharge even after I had called the billing office and paid my normal monthly service bill.

This is most abhorrent servive ever.1) Customer Services takes forever. At most youd spend 30min to 45min just waiting to talk to someone who doesnt solve with any issue.2) Internet speed is lie. They almost never delivery at least 50% speed you contracted.Bottom line, if you have another option in your area, go with someother company.dont hesitate to pay double to go with someother company. You wont regret.Suddenlink is disgusting.

Everyone pretty much knows Suddenlink is horrible, but its a monopoly so nothing can be done. But this complaint is specifically about our local Suddenlink business. I had to have new internet service set up so they sent out a technician to do it. He hurried through the setup and when I inquired why my speeds were slower than they should have been, he said it would just take a day to provision for the proper speeds. That was a lie. He just didnt feel like staying to fix the problem. They sent another technician out later and he just argued the whole time and didnt actually do anything, so we ended up just telling him to leave. He ended up disconnecting my service I guess out of spite. Theres still been no resolution to my problem and everything that the local technicians say is different from what Suddenlink support says.

I’ve had Suddenlink as my internet provider for over 30 yrs and while I’ve been trying for faster speeds it had been getting slower and slower, they tell you to upgrade your service to get faster speeds but they can’t provide them just over a year ago I was paying for a gigabit speed and they couldn’t deliver that for no fiber optic lines but do you think they would tell that to a long time customer no.I went to 400 speed they changed my modem and couldn’t get that. My phone is faster. So I went down to 200 speed and I can’t get that either. So I went into their office and they told me they changed modems, do you think they would let their customers in on this secret . Why when they know they really don’t want you satisfied with their service.Oh and you can’t buy it you have to rent it, but they tell you that you can buy one at Amazon or Bestbuy. Makes sense huh. Unbelievable!!!But they won’t change their lines to fiber optics just like the phone lines as to why people now a days only use cell phones.Don’t waste your money on a 400 speed internet service because even after you get this new and improved cable modem at best you can almost get 200 but don’t count on it.

SuddenSTINKS If I could give this Company no Stars I would. The worse company to deal with and get ahold of. Was to have a technician out to the house after waiting a week. They where to call before they show up?? No call and no show I called the 800 number and they said they were there at 4:25 and I was not there. I was in my garage on the phone calling the company to ck on my apt at 4:11 they stated the tech was still to be there before 5pm. What the S....!! The worst cable service I’ve ever experienced. Internet drops constantly. Paid for gig services and seldom would get higher than 40-100megs. Problem is they are the only game in town, so management doesn’t care to improve customer experience. Glad I moved to Dallas.

After 3- days.of no resolution my husband reminded me that there is an actual suddenlink store here so I went in. They had my internet service restored in less than hour! I moved apartments and after a few days the WiFi stopped working so I messaged the tech who set it up and he’ll look into it and never did, the service rep said it was a “outage” but there wasn’t because my friends who have Suddenlink, their internet works just fine, and the tech said he’ll “swing around 5 pm one day” and yet NEVER SHOWED UP!

I moved and transferred my services to The new address. I never received my 1st month bill from suddenlink at the new place. I did receive my 2nd months bill with the late charge for the 1st Months Bill tagged on to the 2nd months Phil. I went to suddenlink To see why wasnt sent the 1st bill in the sender system said they sent it which they didnt. I have a perfect track record with them on always on time I do not understand why the lady wouldnt work with me yeah I want to get the late charges trip because I never got the bill to begin with but thats beside the point you dont treat your Loyal customers that way at all. I cant wait until I get home Internet through T-Mobile, for 50 bucks a month and not have to deal with this scheming conniving little company that should not be in Victoria with the amount of complaints that they have on them.

Have been very disappointed with suddenlink. We pay 80 a month and the service goes out a lot through the day, everyday. Constantly having to unplug and plug it back in the reset. I rate the internet quality high. This review is for their new mobile phone service. Dont bother. They sent a defective used phone. It was locked and completely unuseable. They continue to bill for the phone even though it was returned 3 months ago. They have zero customer support. If you like texting a bunch of people who dont know anything about your account even though you have contacted them monthly regarding the same issue, go for it!

For over a year Ive been given the run around about putting my wire underground once you give these people your money dont expect Them to care anymore. Prices keep going up service Keeps getting worse. Edit- not only does this company have bad customer service with billing, moving out and leaving their service is a headache too. We are moving in a little over a month so I called to find out the process with returning equipment and canceling our services. The lady I spoke to tried to disconnect my services immediately. I kept telling her I still needed the internet until the end of April and just wanted to know how much notice they needed.Worst customer service ever. After speaking to SIX different people about my bill all promising calls back and a refund (no call backs ever occurred) I finally spoke to the “supervisor” Nicholas who was very rude, unhelpful, and told me I wasn’t listening. HIGHLY recommend never dealing with this company. They are useless. If I could give zero stars I would. Their company should have all employees promising the same compromise learn to speak with a supervisor who doesn’t support their customers. Even with factual data the supervisor doesn’t listen to your issues. Only call them if you have 2+ hours to kill because that’s how long you’ll spend on hold.

Let me start by saying if I could give ZERO STARS I would. Ive been a loyal customer for 4 YEARS. Never had issues with Suddenlink despite all the rumors. My bill stayed the same for 3 1/2 years. Then I moved houses and because one of their employees didnt transfer my internet like he was supposed to. Thats right, he disconnected it. I had to pay all the new added fees that I didnt have to. To this day my bill is double one month, tripled the next month. ITS RIDICULOUS!!! When you call to speak to someone about it they just say okay, so? These people dont care and just lost my business!!!

They sent a credit collection after me for money that I didnt owe because their accounting department is deficient and greedy. I called ahead of time to cancel my service for move-out. They didnt disconnect it until weeks later. Then they tried to charge me for that time period. I called in and got it refunded. A YEAR LATER, they sent a credit agency after me for that same bill, even though they initially admitted it was wrong and refunded me. Now, even after many phone calls with both Suddenlink and the agency, they still have not closed the claim because they mismanaged info on my account. Its absolutely absurd. All over $50.

Advertising is misleading: they do not provide internet, they provide shiternet. Its very much like internet, except rather than stay connected, your network will just drop completely at random intervals throughout the day. Even if someone comes out to fix it, there is nothing to be done, because its working as intended. When youre one of the few providers in an area, you dont have to worry about providing quality service after all. Keep in mind that this shiternet is for business accounts, so I can only imagine what residential accounts have to deal with.

I put 1 star because it doesnt offer 0. I was charged $60 for a service call I didnt ask for. The service tech spent 6 minutes to tell me my modem wasnt any good and 20 minutes out site on a personal call then left. And Im still being charged $20 for their modem that was returned a month ago. You all might be the only cable in town but not the only internet service. Ill be going with someone else. Besides not gonna be calling in for any little thing and be on hold for an hour when there are people working in the local office saying they dont have access to anything, then why have them there.

Suddenlink internet is just completely awful. During the day it’s so unbelievably slow and at night it just completely stops working. Every time it stops working I have to unplug the modem and plug it back in to restart it. I wouldn’t mind if it was just a rare thing but it’s multiple times a week. I called and talked to one of your associates and when he couldn’t give me a solution to my problem, he hung up on me and I’m sure he was thinking I wouldn’t call back since I was on hold for an hour!!!! Worst customer service ever. I just need an old cable removed from the pole so the electric company can replace the power pole. Victoria store does not have a phone number. So I called the 800 number and they said I have to go to the store. That is just completely ridiculous to me that the Victoria store doesnt have a phone number where you can actually call and talk to a person. Ive never had service with Suddenlink and Im glad that I never will. If you cant even get a hold of someone at your local store.UpdateReceived an email from someone with Suddenlink Named Dave. Internet seems to be th main complaint, when it is working its good but just when you get comfortable it starts acting up. goes on and off for days, call tech support and they do the basic resets sometimes blaming your equipment sometimes offering to send technicians, usually days later by when it has subsided. they never admit to having any problems locally and of course unless you drive down to the office

Worst customer service I have ever seen. I have had service for a month and it has not worked the entire time. Every time I call I wait in excess of 2 hours for the automated service to come up and say no one can take my call and to schedule a call back which never happens. I went in the store and they did absolutely nothing. They are literally just stealing people’s money on top of the time missed from work to wait for technicians that never show up. You’re better off not getting internet or cable than to have to deal with this poor excuse for a company.

Plan changed without request just to overcharge my bill. Cost me over $200. It was dropped from unlimited so they could charge me 3 months in a roll. I called and asked why and they told me I asked for that, like if I was insane. Suddenlink routinely offers new subscribers a better package and equipment than I, a long-time subscriber, have and charges them 60% less per month than I have to pay. The promotional rate is good for 1 full year for services and 2 years on equipment. To add insult to injury, my already overpriced rate just jumped up another $30/month. Im tired of subsidizing other peoples service with my high rates. There are some very good options available and Im looking into them now.

Terrible customer service... Went to store in Victoria and talked to Melissa. Amount due on bill was $174.13, but she said it was $205 because it didnt include taxes and fees... I added it up with tax and fees from bill in front of her and it came out to174.13... She wouldnt agree... I had customer service on phone with me. The connection is so unstable, you have to hope that It’s your lucky day for internet connection. The speed is more than you want when it’s working. However, the connection drops so frequently it really doesn’t matter how much seed you get. I’d rather have so so speed with stable connection.

There more than happy to take my money but wont tell me how much the bill is. Representative said I cant tell you the bill amount but Ill tell you if what ever you pay is good enough like really. Some rules they got. There not worried about the customers just about the money for them.

Paying almost $100 for just internet and I have my own router. 🙄 They just keep increasing prices just because. I started out paying $64 and just increases for no reason. I cant wait to move so I can switch im sick of suddenlink. Let suddenlink be your last option.

They know they have a monopoly here in victoria and use it to take advantage of people that have no good alternatives. Bs price hikes out of left field. One day when another provider comes in it will hopefully end thier reign cause people have had enough. It is pretty hard to find a business with a review score this low anywhere...that says a lot
