One of the best family and kid friendly places to eat in all coastal Virginia. Weve been going here for years and its always a quality experience. Among the classic fresh locally made pizzas, the garlic knots are not to be missed. And who doesnt love having an arcade in the place! Theyre handicapped accessible, have an outdoor seating area and are accustomed to hosting gatherings and birthday parties. Everytime we visit, the staff is always going the extra mile. Its not uncommon to have several people check our table throughout our stay. This is good food and fun, served with generous local hospitality.

Nice local restaurant with great history behind it. On the side of the country road and seems like folks around here all recommend the diner as the place to go. Great food and very delicious and reasonably price. Definitely recommend it if you are around the area.

If you’re looking for a family friendly pizza joint - you’ve found it. Pungo Pizza has so much history in the Sandbridge area.The staff there are all friendly, attentive, and sweet. We will make a point to drive out there or take the long way home just to stop here.The chicken tenders are the best I’ve had and I typically share my daughter’s. But my favorite menu item of theirs? The garlic knots! You cannot go wrong ordering these bad boys. They are even more delicious (if possible) as leftovers.

Do not patronize. Business pays or attempts to pay employees well under the state mandated minimum wage and even far under the federal minimum wage. They also attempt to exploit workers to pay as little as possible by pretending many employees that would not be considered tipped employees in any sense of the word ARE tipped employees, i.e. manning a register.

Despite waiting an hour for a 12 pizza, the food was delicious and our servers kindness made up for the delay. Pumpkin spice knots were decadent!

We have eaten here several occasions. Never disappointed!! Food is excellent and prices are reasonable. Just tried their pizza rolls for the first time and they are awesome, we highly reccomend giving them a try!

Best pizza I place in the world. If the gods above were to create a pizza place, then this would be the place. To say the least, I love place. The pizza is above average, but the ice cream is as if it was milked directly from the utters of a cow. Along with that the games are far better than any gaming console or computer could replicate. To summarize my opinion of the place, it is more than worth 5 stars!

I was introduced to this by my sister and brother in law.The food was good. We had a deluxe pizza and it was delicious.The waiter was great.We ordered ice cream and it is great too. (Surprise, surprise a pizza and ice cream place that is good at pizza and ice cream)It is worth the trip if you get a chance.

This is our favourite stop on the way home from a day at Sandbridge Beach. The atmosphere is welcoming and casual and the food is delicious. No matter what we order, we always order the garlic knots. They are cooked to perfection and soaked in butter and garlic. While we have gotten several different menu items, we tend to get the combo stuffed pizza which is very filling. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place for a family lunch. Well worth stopping on your way through Pungo. Our kids loved the food and desserts, and my son about lost his mind over the arcade in the back. Plenty of goodness for mom and dad, too. These folks really know how to treat your family like their family.

Not impressed. Stopped here because of reviews. Girl at counter was rude and acted like she had no interest in helping us. Only came for ice cream. She acted like she couldnt be bothered. And gave my sister the wrong flavor to boot. Ice cream was ok, just carton style. Nothing special.

We got a hand tossed pizza for the table and it was delicious! A cute little spot with lots of tables and an area of arcade games for the kiddos. A fun environment for the family.

Really love this place and their food, but take out is getting ridiculous. The last two times I have ordered online I’ve had to wait 30 minutes past my ready time. I’ve seen people come in and wait 3 minutes and get their food. Today I had to wait 40 minutes past my ready time and I had to go up twice!

Best crust on a pizza I have ever had. Light, not chewy and very delicious. This pizza can rival many NY, NJ and PA pizzas. The staff is extremely nice and the service great. Dont miss this place when you are here in Virginia Beach.

I like the crust but take a look at the bacon pizza. There’s no bacon on it. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I would like to give this place a decent review but I can’t... for the price and lack of bacon it wasn’t worth it.The Tuscan was pretty good and the service was decent but our friends talked up the bacon pizza and it fell totally flat. Too bad. Save your money and buy domino’s.

Awesome place! Diverse menu, they were quick for a large carry out order, and even helped us bring the food to our car. I loved the bbq wings!

Horrifying service. It was over 2 hours till we got our food and then almost everything was wrong. We were very understanding at first, but it just got worse and worse. They kept telling us itd be right up, lies. They got one of the sandwiches wrong twice. The manager was incredibly rude offered us 10 percent off lol. I will admit the food was good but between the treatment of the manager and the wait was not worth it at all. Ruined our whole day.

Not great customer service.. we waited 1 hour 30 mins for a 12in pizza and pizza roll ups . We where told our food got caught behind big to go orders. People where walking in placing big orders after we already have and walking out fast. They took 10% off which saved us 4$ but wasnt worth the time sat there with 3 kids. Was told for 45 mins our was coming right out. Was charged for things i didnt order and waited even longer to get it off my bill. Cool place but we felt unwelcomed quickly because we didnt spend 100$ and our first but last time coming

The garlic knots at Pungo pizza are amazing. If you go and don’t get some, you are doing yourself a disservice! The pizza is very good as well. Although it was crowded when we visited, the wait staff were very attentive and made sure we had refills on drinks.

My husband, who is a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur, said the pizza was very good. My cheeseburger and fries were also very good. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.

Picked up burgers, fries, ice cream, and wings. The burgers were some of the best we have had bar none! Patty was nice and thick with a nice crust and grilled through nicely but still super juicy and very well seasoned. The additional toppings were crisp and fresh. The fries were also seasoned well and had that crisp outside and soft inside, PERFECT! My daughter polished off half pound of BBQ wings, again not stingy with the sauce and the wings still had a nice crispy outside. One of the highlights of our brief stop in the area, will definitely stop in if in the area again.

First - I’ll start by saying we love the pizza! I’d like to offer one observation that is disappointing. We have noticed when we order during busier times (dinner time/weekend) plain cheese pizzas do not appear fresh. Picking it up on time, the pizza is not hot and the cheese is hard as though it has been sitting and/or reheated. Having worked in a pizza place, this is very obvious. I totally understand how it can get busy, but as a consumer, I’d rather wait for something fresh than have something that’s been pre-made and sitting or reheated. Again, love the pizza but disappointed.

I came with a friend and we ordered 2 sandwiches, separately. That is all. We waited on the screened porch for 45 minutes for our sandwiches, as we watched countless people come and go. I went in to check on our order and they said it would be up next. Waited another 15 minutes! I think our order was forgotten for the first 45 mins. From what I viewed and heard, the customers were locals and were well known by staff. I have the feeling that our food was delayed to cater to their repeat customers. Being good to your loyal customers is a good thing, but not when you lose the business of newcomers. Wont be dining here again.

Staff is very friendly and attentive. Our waitress was the manager and she was spot on. Fried pickles are flavored with the right amount of seasoning, garlic knots are a must order and the pizza is loaded with toppings. Pizza dough has a good flavor. All deserts are in housemade and there is a wide variety of choices.

5 Star Pizza! My family and I visited here while on vacation, as recommendation from a friend, and this pizza is delicious! We also sprung for the garlic knots and they were also amazing and so soft and delicious!Having visited during the social distancing initiatives, and they did an amazing job keeping the place clean and safe. Pizza is usually good, but came lukewarm. We were hungry so ate a slice. Our waitress eventually came around and we told her that the pizza was lukewarm. A manager offered us a small cheese pizza for compensation, I declined as our pizza was a supreme not a cheese!!Very disappointed as thats is how they compensate customers when they are served subpar lukewarm pizza.

Really enjoyed the yummy pizza from here. After moving from Norfolk this is the only pizza on this side of VA Beach I actually found tasty. So glad I decided to try it! I also loved the garlic knots. All pizza is not the same and Pungo Pizza stands out on top!

Love everything about pungo pizza! The cinnamon knots are a MUST. The Greek salad is constantly good. The pizza is the best in VB. I wish they delivered but I’ll gladly make the drive to pick up myself. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

We finally tried this place out thanks to recommendations from fellow campers on FB Virgina Campers. The seafood pizza was great however its not too be compared to the seafood pizza at the Island Pizza in Sandbridge. They are both great and different in there own way. Our hostess and waitress were great. Especially our waitress, she was definitely on her game, took excellent care of us like a good waitress or waiter should. Thats something in todays world that is hard to find. Although her mask said I ❤️ social distancing, she didnt mind taking care of us and being close to us without our 😷. I wish I could remember her name because she deserves recognition and a raise because she definitely raised the bar to where a good waitress should be! We highly recommend going to Pongo Pizza and I know well be going back.

Let me tell you. This is without a doubt the BEST pizza I have ever had. It is perfectly salty, the cheese was amazing, literally everything about it. I almost ate the whole thing myself. Not overly greasy either. I think about this pizza every day, and as someone who is out-of-state, I cannot wait until I can come back to have it again! I would make the 5 hour drive back just to have this pizza again - no joke.

Have to review this place after my nephew brought home the meat lovers stuffed pizza. This had to be the best meat lovers pizza Ive ever had hands down. I like how they even lattice the pizza with strips of dough. The meat of course was incredible and the crust/dough was outstanding.Going to have to try their other offerings!

Beach Boys were playing in the background - (I love them, though Ive worn out my family, with them) - and perfect end of summer music!Now, the GARLIC KNOTS, well, in just a minute. The PIZZA was wonderful...(think very fresh BRICK OVEN, taste, even though it isnt - but its that good!) Now the PIZZA KNOTS, but wait... the ICE CREAM was FANTASTIC! Our sundaes were absolute heaven, (and this is from someone who can hardly ever finish their ice cream!) Our son had the Brownie Sundae, and we had the Double Scoop, (with the best Butter Pecan weve had in a while,) Sundae, and a cup of Mint Choc Chip!If you dont have the good fortune to be served by him, dont forget to say hi to JAMES, our server...he was affable, enthusiastic, efficient, genuinely interested in our total experience, and just overall a great person!
