Simply the best in the DMV. Ive been renting from Aperturent for almost 3 years now. Ive only experienced great customer service and quality equipment. The renting process is simple and straight forward. Never had an issue with pick-up or drop-off and the staff at the front desk is always pleasant.

Aperturent has been a blessing for me and my photography business. Dealing with shipping logistics for rentals can be a nightmare so I absolutely enjoy the fact that I can order online and pickup/dropoff the equipment I need. It adds a necessary in person element to the rental business. I remember walking in for a scheduled pickup and one of the reps helping someone figure out which equipment would be necessary for her very first wedding photography gig (it was free and she wasnt an expert) and everything he advised was absolutely correct and simple enough for her to get the shots she would need to get. From that moment on, Aperturent earned my respect.

Ive rented cameras and lenses from Aperturent four times in the past and am renting again over the holiday this year. Having a local place to rent equipment from it is really convenient to save time and money on shipping. While they dont have every piece of equipment Ive wanted to try, they carry enough that Ive always been able to find something that suits my needs, with prices that are reasonably close to online competitors. After going through an initial verification process with my first rental, the subsequent orders have been processed very quickly. All the cameras and lenses Ive rented have been in excellent condition, and the process to pick up and drop off the equipment has always been fast. The only tricky part was locating their office the first time, as it is located in an upper floor of a generic office building with no signs visible from the street. Once you know where it is, theres no problem getting there, as it is an easy walk from the Farragut North metro station.

Have rented from Aperturent many times over the years. Process is smooth from both check-in and check-out. Friendly staff is always a huge plus for me at any business knowing that it means its a healthy workplace. Feels nice to support a local company and definitely my first (and really only) shop when looking for rentals.

I had a great experience with this company. I’ve rented from them two times in the past couple months. Ordering online was seamless and I was able to pick up my order pretty quickly. Their DC office is fairly new so they don’t have as much inventory, but they are flexible and can have pretty much anything you want shipped in. The first time I rented with them through their DC office I was given a complimentary camera bag. The last time I rented from them I forgot to return a lens hood and they were flexible and gave me time to turn it back in. I would highly recommend them.

I recently purchased the new Canon EOS R and have been looking to purchase a RF Lens. I did deep research and decided to rent several lenses from Aperturent. Their available selection of lenses are incomparable to the locations and the prices are very reasonable and fair. The whole process was smooth and Mike in the DC Location has been great. Mike gets me in and out in a timely manner. Ive picked up lenses early as 9:30am and he was there to sign out the lens as well on a Saturday afternoon. Great experience and will continue to come back as I test out new lenses!

Excellent advice and service. I went a photo safari to Nepal and India and took amazing pictures with the equivalent rented at apaturent. As a novice photographer, they provided me great guidance on what type of equipment to consider. Transaction at their DC office was quick and friendly.

They are absolutely my favorite people to get my rentals from! Heres why: 1. They have reasonable prices! Usually I rent gear before committing to purchasing anything. 2. Theyre conveniently located- and its a quick in and out for pickup and dropoff. 3. THEYRE JUST SO NICE. The online booking was easy and the fee was very good compared to others places in the DC metro area.The product was in anexcellent condition - it was Brad new Sony 70-200mm f/4.0G FE OSS E-Mount Zoom Lens that I rented for one week.The Staff was friendly and helpful too. I will definitely rent them from this place again in the future and I recommend it to my friends.

Great experience, and a great value on the Sigma Contemporary 150-600 lens. My intent was to rent for a week, and as it turned out, I got the lens for 21 days because they were closed from 12/22 - 1/2 for the Xmas/New Years break. Bonus for me. According to the rep, the lens was literally brand new, and had never been rented before, and I can believe it. The lens was pristine. I rented the lens for some bald eagle photos at conowingo dam, and the eagle action was less than I hoped for, but I still got a few nice shots. I wouldnt necessarily recommend this specific lens to others. I have the canon 100-400 (push pull) version, and its about 1/2 the weight, and the zoom action is much easier to operate.

I walked in picked up my lens in five minutes.It was convenient easy and is walking distance from the White House and Farragut square.When I returned my lens’ the associate gave me a few tips before I went on my way.I would definitely rent there again. I ended up buying the 20mm Sigma ART before returning the leased glassffom a local reseller. Aperturant really helped me make the decision.

Discovered Aperturent after foolishly renting gear online and realizing that even though convenient, the shipping costs were just too much. Found that the process going to Aperturerent was just as convenient! Saved my shipping costs by hopping on the red line and walking two minutes right to the building. Michael was incredibly helpful in getting my gear to me quickly, and I definitely appreciated his insight in the lenses I was about to rent. If youre a metro area local theres really no reason not to be renting from here.
