The facility is clean and well managed. You must have a security code to access the facility and to use the elevators - the code always worked and made the facility feel safe. Access hours were convenient..A big plus is that you can have packages delivered and the manager will place them in your storage unit. I rented a storage unit to store recent purchases for a short period before moving overseas, and being able to have packages delivered was super convenient.The only drawback is its location on New York Avenue. Traffic is usually terrible and that means that it takes a while to get there from downtown DC and to return.

We leased a larger storage unit for the past several years. The facility was always well maintained, clean and free of rodents as far as we can tell. Staff was friendly, forthcoming and accommodating to our needs, including when we needed special assistance to load up our RV. I can recommend this facility without reservation.

I had a great experience. On the good side, the staff were awesome and incredibly helpful. They were readily available to help with any issues or questions. Also, the location was incredibly convenient. Being 5 minutes from my house and a U-Haul facility made it a wonderfully convenient option for me.On the the bad side, the unit could have been a bit cleaner when I moved in. Overall it was a very good experience and Id store things there again.

This review is long overdue as I had such a great experience, I shouldve left this long ago, but had to move so quickly. Considering the manager accommodated me I knew I would need to eventually find the time. I had to leave on a weekend with little notice and he still allowed me to do so without any penalty. Thats understanding at its finest. I highly recommend this location for its management. Thank you!

Cant say enough great things about this facility! John (the manager) is the best and always so accommodating. They keep the facilities clean, accessible, and welcoming at all time. Anything that ever came up I was able to hash out with John immediately and he always made a way to keep his renters happy. Many thanks and I hope the next place lives up to the new standard yall created!

I was able to reserve and rent the locker online by inputting some information, uploading my drivers license and providing my credit card information. They followed up with me on the phone soon thereafter and when I showed up to move in the next day, it was a seamless process. The facility was clean and easy to access (with my personalize PIN). The clerk was helpful and engaging. My only two suggestions would be to allow an automatic gate exit when you pull up to the gate (now you have to use a PIN to open the gate to leave) and better inside lighting.

Great customer services. Candy was very accommodating and helpful with my in-the-last minute moving and storage. I would recommend this place.

Store manager at the New York Ave, DC location was SO helpful each time I saw her. The first time I came, I arrived 30 mins late and she STILL allowed me to come in and set up my unit and was so kind and helpful throughout the entire process. The employees are always willing to go the extra mile to help - happy that I trusted them with my items. Definitely recommend

The staff here was absolutely amazing and their hours are very flexible with whatever your schedule can be. It was easy to move in and move out and the facility itself is very clean, not what I expected of a storage facility. PLUS they gave me water to keep hydrated while I moved in, how awesome is that?! 15/10 would recommend and use again.

Service was absolutely excellent -- extremely reasonable and accommodating. Ask for Janis, shes the best! Went above and beyond to set me up with the most appropriate unit + managed my time there to help me save money and made sure I didnt overpay.

Easy access. However to leave you have to get out of your vehicle and walk across the lot to put the code in. Its really inconvenient.

The employees here were very kind to us during move out and helped us get together everything we needed. Couldn’t have asked for better assistance. It has a parking area and gate which were both incredibly convenient.

Very disappointed with customer service and safety at this facility. I had little problem until I tried to move my things out and encountered a homeless woman who had snuck in behind a different unit holder. I decided to move my things the following day with a friend for extra safety. This was not a huge issue until I politely notified the facility of this security concern. The assistant manager then proceeded to deny what I saw and give me a play by play of what she supposedly saw on camera to descredit my story altogether. I did not ask for any sort of compensation or criticize their facility but the assistant manager tried her hardest to falsify my claims. Pretty disappointed in the staff and would not recommend.

This is the best u-store by far i have ever been too. The staffs are great, they work well with you. If i was the owner i Will give them a raise! Because they deserve it.

Janis and John are great. This location is easy for tractor trailers to park and deliver commercial deliveries for customers that use storage to hold stock.

The staff at U Store new york ave do a great job at making storage as convenient as possible. They are fair with the fees, the rates havent gone up, and there are always plenty of carts and loading space to move your stuff.

They make you unload bigger trucks from the street. On a 6 lane road. Nothing like carrying a couch with traffic going by fast enough that the truck shakes.

The staff is friendly, understanding and willing to work with you to maximize service and minimize cost. A very rare combination inn any business, but especially so in the self storage industry.
