After trying multiple times to buy a truck in my local dealers without success, I decided to search nationwide. Today, the kindest young woman, named Beth, helped an elderly, out-of-town woman get into her car simply from the kindness of her heart. The woman, who has Onstar, left her phone & keys in the car. The woman was not bright🙃!! Frantic, she called McGrath Buick, to see if they offered that service. Beth answered, called Onstar & had the car unlocked remotely. This woman has never purchased a car or service from this dealership, but nobody cared or charged; they just took the time to help a stranger because she needed it. I came in for an oil change and for them to take a look at a sensor that needed to be serviced I was told the sensor would be at least $130 but that they would call me before they did any work. I did not realize that it was $130 just for the diagnosis otherwise I would not have done it

Mike was very informative and helpful when purchasing the wifes new envision in Dec 2020 . Subsequently that vehicle was totaled by red light runner, we contacted mike again to replace the car with a new 2021 envision with same equipment and color, after 4 or 5 days they were not able to find one like we wanted but can’t thank the group enough for the help and courtesy that the business puts forth. We had to go out of state to locate the vehicle that we wanted but will do business with community Buick in the future.

I was looking for an oddball GM part to fix a vehicle and the young woman in Mcgraths parts department didnt have the part but she checked other general motors dealerships and community Buick GMC have the part. I called them talked to another young lady who was very knowledgeable in parts and she put part in the mail to me and I paid online. Purchased a 2021 GMC Yukon AT4 after finding it online. I always loathe the car buying process & typically buy all my cars online for ease of the transaction and to make it easier to find exactly what I want. I live in Missouri & about 8 hours away from Waterloo Iowa. I was able to work with salesman Ashley Tudor and do photo viewings of both vehicles since I had a trade. I had a very short timeline with my work schedule to be able to put this deal together and make the trip to exchange vehicles and the dealership & my salesman worked very hard to accommodate me for a smooth transaction. From start to finish, Bryce made everything very easy for us. We researched online and knew what we wanted. We called the dealership and Bryce confirmed availability and took a credit card deposit over the phone immediately to hold the truck. We drove 4 hours to the store and the entire sales and business process took less than 30 minutes, something unheard of in our previous experience. We did, however, have a minor issue with the truck and Bryce stuck by our side and made sure it was taken care of fairly and in a timely manner. We will definitely keep Community Buick GMC in our thoughts when we need another vehicle!-Corey and Samantha

My experience at Community Buick Gmc was my best experience ever and i will be a repeat customer.Jordan, my salesperson, was perfect. No high pressure tactics. He let the product sell itself, answered all of my questions and called my attention to key details that added value and functionality. I felt like i got a good trade value and an excellant pricing on the new GMC HD2500 Denali.Jan, handled the financing side and she also was extremely patient with me, answering fully all of my questions. I got a very good interest rate from one of her in-house companies, a full percentage point lower than my local credit union. This allows me to payoff and own the truck a year earlier, so it matters a lot that she took the time to go that extra mile for me. She saved me several thousand dollars over the loan term.Most importantly, Jordon did not play the typical head games and drama and that leaves that nasty taste in your mouth. The endless haggling trying to wring one last dollar out of the customer for something they dont want or doing the donkey gymnastics with your vehicles trade-in value. It matters, and is why, more than anything, why i will be back as a repeat customer.

Buyer Beware: We JUST purchased a used car from this dealership and were assured it went through their service shop and was in excellent working condition. We took it home, stored it inside for two weeks, went to start it and it WILL NOT RUN!! We contacted the dealership and we were told we could bring it in and it would cost us over $350 just for their service shop to DIAGNOSE the issues. Clearly they don’t stand behind the vehicles they sell or the service they supposedly provide on the vehicles they are selling. From our experience, this dealership has no problem deceiving their customers. We told them our #1 concern was reliability bc we were purchasing a car for our 14 year old daughter. Now I am scared she will be stranded without her car starting or even breaking down along the way. The last thing anyone wants for a young driver. Hopefully our terrible experience can save you a similar outcome. Take your business elsewhere!

The sales person didnt know anything about the truck. I bought a Ford from a GMC dealer but he should still know a little about the vehicle he is selling. The communication from the dealership was poor. There were a couple times they said they would call me back and never did. There was also some pressure to fill out a credit app even though I told them I already had financing. Also, the sales person kept calling me buddy. Learn the persons name you are working with. Very patronizing.

I feel the service dept. people are not very customer friendly and they do not try and get the most out of GM when it comes to warranty work. I had moisture in one of my tail lights last year and they would do nothing, said it was normal. The light needed ventilation because LED lights give off more heat. NOT TRUE! I just paid $365.00 for a new battery ($120 diagnostic fee and $60 installation fee), The car is 2 months out of warranty and has 20,800 mi. on it.I will be looking at a different brand of car and a different dealership next time i trade.

I needed to have a key cut from the VIN. The parts department was very helpful and friendly. I did not need a transponder key just a plain key to unlock the door. They found an older blank that worked just fine, the cost for everything was less than 25% of what the other dealerships wanted. It was refreshing to have someone listen to my request and not try to up sell me things I did not need. I will be going back when the need arises.

Update: The purchase of our vehicle was smooth, until the paperwork aspect came into play. We signed all of our documents on July 16th from the dealership as we purchased the vehicle out of state and still havent received the hard copies of what we signed. This is extremely frustrating, as Ive left several voicemails, talked to the sales manager, our salesperson, etc. It shouldnt take more than two days to send out the paperwork and now I just feel that weve been lied to numerous times. I should have waited before posting my overall feel for Community because it went from a very positive experience to one that I wouldnt recommend.

If I could rate my an experience a 0, I would. Currently live out of town but from here originally. Family has bought over 10 cars from community but after this experience no one will again.Inexperienced salesman. I had answered more of the questions I had by simple google search online. Still liked a vehicle so figured we would see if we could come to an agreement. KBB had our car priced over $3500. They came back and offered us $2000. I explained that is far to low, came back at $2500 and said it’s because there was dent and made a little rattle while breaking (we had our vehicle serviced at the week prior and nothing of a rattle was stated). Then we were told “you made a mistake by coming in. If you would’ve called us we would have offered you $3000.” We got up and left and the finance manager comes out upset and shouts “really $3000 or nothing are you kidding me?” And when I asked what’s stopping me from going across the street, calling in and getting the $3000 you said we’d get over the phone? In response I was told that’s not how it works, and he walked away throwing a tantrum.We ended up the next day going to a different community and explaining what we wanted. After test driving multiple vehicles and letting them know we like this one best, but it’s out of our price range. At no point did they offer to work with us and see if we can make it work. We get home and look online for the vehicle in the area just to find out NEXT DOOR THEY HAD MULTIPLE VEHICLES we were looking at.Long story short the unprofessionalism experiences between 2 different community auto groups was terrible. For people wanting to spend thousands of dollars you’d think they would have better customer service.We went to John Deery instead and had amazing service and bought a car from them. We ended up purchasing a vehicle $1000 more than what we wanted at Community and they dealt with us and got us the vehicle cheaper than we wanted.

I showed up and test drove a couple cars. During the whole process Kyle was not pushy and answered all my questions. A couple, he was honest enough to say he didnt know the answer, then went and found the answer. It truly looks like I have found my new home to purchase my vehicles. Mind you, even though it was a three hour drive away from home. Go see for yourself... No high pressure sales tactics, just good honest sales people making sure you know what your buying. Kyle even gave me a call a few days later... Just to check to see how things were going and to see if i had any more questions.I left that day with my new Cadillac. They made sure we were approved for financing before we traveled down! While I have heard good things about Community Auto, my experience was unsatisfactory. Im sure the fact that I hate buying a vehicle more than anything came across loud and clear and that affected how they acted, but a manager didnt even bother to drive my trade in or bother to talk to me. They didnt try to look at vehicles other than the one I was first interested in. Apparently we were too far apart on price for that courtesy. So my assumptions are they have no time to spend on an educated buyer and as always it is about the almighty dollar. On a positive note, the sales guy was nice and they didnt waste my time as other dealers tend to do. But they will never have me as a customer now and I will definitely not recommend them without telling of my experience there.

We recently purchased a used 2018 SUV from Community Buick GMC. After researching the car, we decided to make the 75 mile commute to check out the vehicle. The vehicle was prepped and ready for us when we arrived and we were introduced to Mike Aiello, who assisted us with the test drive. Though Mike was not directly familiar with the vehicle, he got us all the answers we requested and was able to assist us in coming to what we felt was a fair price. We left the dealership that evening satisfied with our purchase.A week later, we noticed another used vehicle available at Community Buick GMC - a model that our daughter had been looking for. Upon inquiring, we were told that the vehicle would not be available for a test drive for at least a week. A week later, I followed up and was told the vehicle still needed to be inspected, but should be available on the Friday after Thanksgiving. On Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving, I was contacted and made aware of a few issues discovered during inspection. I assured Mike that we were still interested in the vehicle if the issues could be addressed and also assured him that we were fine with some minor body damage. At this point, Mike informed me that another party was interested in the car and had first dibs unless I was willing to put a deposit down. I was upset that another potential buyer had been shown the car when I was told it was unavailable, especially given that I had purchased another car just a week earlier. At that point, we moved on to another car at another dealership...and the other buyer failed to come through!During this process, we also discovered that the 2018 SUV we had purchased had a slow leak in one of the tires. In fact, the same tire was low on air when we test drove it. (Of course, they filled up the tire before we drove it home.) However, the tire continued to slowly leak air. We found that there was a metal wire in the sidewall and the tire had to be replaced at a cost to us of $200. During the test drive, we were told that a dealer representative had been driving the car for several weeks and believe that they should have known, or did know, that the tire was damaged, yet we were sent home after filling it with air.Needless to say, these experiences make it extremely unlikely that we will do business with Community GMC Buick again, nor can we recommend this dealership.
