Overall Joe Hill was great as well as the finance department. There were a couple hick ups in the delivery and Joe went out of his way to make them right. I have been a customer of sunset Ford waterloo for years with my 2013 Ford fusion. I will not return to this business. I was given misformation about the nature of a problem with my car and different estimates to repair it. I was kept waiting for hours and not given updates on my cat. I had to track someone down to find out what was going on. I finally took my car to another repair shop and to that the new rotors that I thought had been replaced a year ago, had only been ground down and turned. Not a happy camper!

Service was fine. I was disappointed by two things: 1) it took a week for the part to come in. If I can get anything I want delivered by Amazon the next day, I fail to see why it takes a week to get the parts; and 2) the dealership had no loaner vehicles. In todays world, that was unbelievable to me. So I had to go to enterprise and rent a car for a week. This for a car that I bought from the dealership less than 5 months ago.

I like to actually take my car to the dealer vs repairs shops due to higher costs. In this case I pretty much knew what the problem was but it did take a a few days to get this completed which seemed too long for this type of repair. That’s primary reason that I don’t go to dealers is the time it takes to get in there to get something fixed is usually a week or longer.

Only giving 4 stars rather than 5 due to the misunderstanding between the salesman and myself. The sales guy called me! I didnt call them. Again, he called me telling me about all these rebates they can give me and how they have zero percent interest. So I texted a couple days later asking about the price of the car, and how he mentioned the $6,000 in rebates and 0% interest. Again, I was reassured, yes all that can be done. I get there and NOPE! CANT have all the rebates AND zero percent financing. So I had to walk away! They called me back the next day with a better deal, still not what they promised but a little better. I cant say Ill do it again though. If its not what is promised, I wont do my business there. It is nice being in a new car but next time Ill stick to my ground and go elsewhere. They are nice, dont get me wrong. But it would be nice to just be upfront with people. Ill give Tyler the benefit of the doubt that maybe he honestly didnt know one couldnt get both deals?? But IDK?! Other than that hiccup, it was a good deal. My second time buying there.

My husband and I recently visited Sunset Ford in our search for a mildly used vehicle. As soon as we parked, a salesperson, Joe, was waiting outside the front door of Sunset Ford to greet us. Joe was very warm and spunky (the perfect salesperson). Between jokes and jives, Joe asked us what we were looking for and began a search of ONLY used vehicles. Joe did not try to sell us a brand new car and was very respectful of our budget. After test driving a few cars, we left to explore other dealerships. Love the place from salesmen to the service department they’re all great people. If you haven’t you should give them a shot for any of your needs. All the salesmen are great at what they do. The service department is top notch and all the technicians deserve recognition for the expertise they provide.

First of all, Kelly in service dept was great. That was the only good thing about my visit. I have had bad experienes with the service department here in the past, where Ive had to return to have things corrected that were not right the first time. Recieved recall notices and was reluctant to have this dealer perform the work, but thought this was fairly simple and could not be done wrong. Well, I was wrong. The tech returned my vehicle after servicing the passenger side airbag and as I approached from passenger side I noticed the tech pressing on the dash on the airbag panel. I could see a gap where the airbag panel was not completely secure. I asked the tech about it and he assured me that it was ok. I could see it was not ok but felt it was useless to argue. I took vehicle home and examined more closely where I found the panel was so loose that I could insert my fingers between it and the dash in the upper left corner. Disappointed once again with the service dept at Sunset, I had the panel reinstalled elsewhere in about 5 minutes. I drive Ford exclusively, having 4 vehicles at this time, 2 purchased new from Sunset. I will no longer do business with Sunset.

Only gave one star because I could not post with zero. Not the best experience...I will leave it at that for now. Since I posted this review things have gotten worse. I would not recommend anyone use their service department. I really wish I could post this with less than one star. My truck has been in and out of their shop they have had it for close to two months total at this time and the problems are still not fixed.

I went to Sunset Ford to look at a car I found on the Internet. I bought that car from them because my salesman said this dealership had been around a long time, and won’t sell you junk. They didn’t sell me junk. I did by it used “as is”, and didn’t buy a warranty because I work on my own vehicles normally. But, I shouldn’t be told days after I purchase the vehicle that I should have bought a warranty because they don’t update the computers before they sell them. The service light came on, and I had to pay to diagnose, and then pay for a software update before anything could be done. On the hook with their estimates for $1749 for all it needs. Less than 8 days from purchase. I think a dealership that describes themselves as “Premium”, would software update the vehicle. I asked if anything major was wrong, and I think a $580 ABS pump is major. Make sure you buy warranties I guess?

I recently had an awful experience at this dealership. I had already test drove the car I wanted at another dealership and came to this one because they had the model and options I wanted. The salesman was great but I had my doubts on the appraisal of my trade in, particularly in some known options of my car brand that were maybe unknown to the staff. For example, the salesman had told me I had a seat missing, but it has stow and go seating. He brought over the manager to discuss it. The manager, Mark Springer, came over and sat down apparently irritated with my concerns. He looked at me with disgust, and when I raised my concerns he became threatening as if I had challenged his ego. I’m not sure if he didn’t like me questioning him, or me -as a woman-questioning him, but his demeanor and glare caused me to feel my arms and legs go weak with fear. I was being bullied and shamed. The altercation was nothing I had expected of a sales encounter. This was the manager! The example for this building? While he continued to speak harshly and negatively about me, in front of my young children, I calmly and without speaking stood and walked out of the building. I was shaking as the salesman came out to apologize. When you are paying $45,000 for a vehicle, you deserve to feel valued, respected and safe.

My last experience here was not a very good one but I tried it again for an airbag recall on my car. I dropped the car off and they took me to work had it done in a reasonable time but I’m not a fan of having to clean dirty finger prints and boot prints off of my door panels, windows, and dash. Besides having to clean that I have no other complaints.

I purchased a pre-owned F-150 from Sunset Ford. Went to the dealership to look at a certain car we saw online. When we got there he already had it pulled up front with the keys ready to go. Once we sat down at the desk Jon was all about getting us the deal we want. He went back and forth multiple times to get us what we were asking for with the finance guy. Once we were about to finally finish up Jon wasn’t satisfied with the inside of the vehicle. He took it back to get it detailed again. I killed some time going to dinner. When I got back it still wasn’t done and Jon was doing everything he could to make me comfortable while I waited. He went to check on the status multiple times and even helped to finish washing the car. He was very caring of how his clients were treated and was not just looking to get a sale. All around a great guy not trying to rush us out the door.
